Kaladin in his rarest form: smiling! Nothing too fancy, just wanted to draw him in a less serious light for once. A few weeks ago @lamaery suggested a lighthearted interaction between Kal and Syl for my next Kal painting so if you like what you see, you have her to thank for this one! I originally meant this to be just a sketch but as usual I got a bit carried away and rendered some parts of it more than I initially intended to.

It is crem o'clock! While I illustrated the Lopen Story for the Story Deck Cards via some twists and turns the topics of Elhokar's glyph-air raised and we (the BridgeFour Discord) agreed that he probably has that tattooed as a tramp stamp. Oh, and the of course there's that AU in which he and Moash ended up traveling together to save Kholinar and how Moash found out about the glyph pair on his back.

taravangian odium is like “i plan for all eventualities. none of you people could ever outsmart me” but then dalinar outsmarts him by giving up honor and putting the rest of the universe on high alert, adolin bests him with the power of friendship, sigzil and venli outsmart him using legal documents (very on brand for both of them btw i love my scholars), kaladin kinda accidentally beats him by becoming a fucking herald, renarin and rlain defeat him through the power of being gay, the fucking mink definitely got one over him via his incredible get out of jail free abilities. the only one who doesn’t outsmart him is jasnah. my cringefail queen

I hope Adolin will be okay in the future. He’s going to be haunted by missing his chance to make peace with his father from time to time, his wife’s stuck on the other side, the rest of his family is in Urithiru, and after that traumatic battle he went through and also losing a leg … he’s going to need a lot of support. At least he’s got people there who care for him—he’s got good friends in Yanagawn, May, Colot, and Hmask; Notum can probably also be counted among that group as well.

one of my FAVORITE things about the cosmere is how drastically reading order can affect how you understand what the hell is happening. every cosmere fan will tell you what they think the right order is (usually the order they read the books) but honestly no matter how you read it, there will be moments that'll confuse you, and it also means there's so much to gain from rereading books with new context. There is no right order but i can tell you running headfirst in era 2 without reading secret history was fucking FUN for me

Jasnah and Taravangian's debate in Wind and truth was better than any other battle in The stormlight archive (maybe I'm exagerating a bit, but it really was awesome, and shocking, and a bit less stressful, which I'm always grateful about).

Last time I talked about this plotline Jasnah was still preparing her arguments, but now that I've read the whole thing I still can't believe how things turned out. Because Jasnah had been planning, but Odium came prepared. I don't even know how he knew about everything he talked about, but he revealed all of Jasnah's dirty secrets. The lesson in Karbranth when she killed four men, her paying someone to kill Aesudan (and eventually backing out), but most importantly, asking her what she would do knowing perfectly the answer, and ultimately destroying the philosophy she's lived by for years. He was so smart and I hate him for that.

She couldn't refute those arguments and Fen signed the contract with Odium, and I was flabbergasted all throughout these chapters.

Folk, of the cosmere fandom, I have a question. Give me your favorite quotes that are NOT mainstream. I don't want to hear, "Honor is dead, but I will see what I can do", ideals, "the next step", "you will be warm again" etc. I need your niche lines from different books that stuck in your memory but don't get brought up enough in your opinion.
