OK yeah some of these were pretty damn cursed but firstly the parameters
I excluded both hoa/tidms prologues along with 1600s little hope due to not having eras in other games that overlap with those characters life times
Two spins=ship
A pair would be disqualified if they shared a model, a game, lived in radically different times and age gaps were case by case(wrote them regardless of if they qualify, well over 100 didn't)
Then some characters qualified multiple times so I just picked because I didn't want repeats
So for the headache it gave me heres:
Max/Taylor(it would be the perpetual "you go first" lol)
Joe Roberts/Anna Bennet
Abe/James(given they're set 20 years apart they probably around the same age)
Charlie L/Jack fiddler(Charlie's new bf has a flamethrower, what are you gonna do about that hector?)
Billy Bates/Agnes Bradshaw(he's a sugar baby✨)
Daniel/Daniella(this one came up multiple times)
Becky/Kate(think of the possibilities)
Conrad/Emma
Julia/Jess
Mike/Adam(mike be like "this is my new bf Simon, he's a forensic guy"... "so anyway it turns out my new bf is a serial killer who committed identity theft... Do you think I should give him a second chance?")
Kaylee/Brad(shes invested in the infodumping)
Michelle Morello/Chris Hackett(He's really doing the most to keep his family off the true crime radar)
William Vanstone/Travis Hackett(the shady judge and the shady sheriff? The Hackett's really don't want there secrets coming out...)
Alex/Matt
John/Hannah(RUN proffesor! I mean she'd be in her late 20s and human but still it's a good thing we know the man can run)
Sam/Jamie(they have such different ideas about what counts as a good time that it's not even funny)
Erin/Jacob(guess who's never carrying anything ever again lol)
Jefferson Bragg/Elis van Huytan
Dr hill/Danny(hill is a real person tho I'm not sure Danny can tell these days, at any rate Danny/therapy)
Tom/Samir(hidden agenda cop who can die in his first scene and tdim cop who does in his only scene that I also named? Why not)
The particularly cursed ones was recognising that Megan and Merwin are around the same age, that bobby Hackett isn't technically too old for Zain but I don't like it, spinner shipped manny/clarice multiple times and it also qualifies(I trust her to kick his ass tho)
And Many more and for all the crazy options it definitely gets me thinking about what else could hypothetically work lol
Maybe I'll draw/write for some of these, who knows
But what if I put a bunch of names on a spinner and see if get any good cross game ships?
May end up cursed but why not✨

What Deku doesn't understand is that the “League of Villains” encapsulates exactly who Tenko - the Crying Child Deku was so adamant about saving - is. He thinks reaching out a hand, smashing that hatred, and saving Tenko means getting Tenko to abandon the League. He is completely wrong - and he would've realized this if he just talked to Shigaraki in all the time he fought against Shigaraki. And listened to what Tenko said in Chapter 418.
The League of Villains is the group Shigaraki Tomura created in order to wreck shit and kill All Might and bring down Hero Society. Shigaraki picked the name and picked the purpose and picked its members and he leads them towards the apocalypse—
—and this is also the group of outcasts that are his comrades and friends; that he gathered and created a place for, where they can be themselves in a society that ruthlessly denied them that. He accepted Twice without care for his insanity and inability to use his quirk, never pushed Twice to do more than he was able to. He accepted Spinner despite being a Stain fanboy and having a weak, nearly useless quirk, and promised him the destruction of the world that hurt him; for all of League. When Toga was pushed by the other members to choose a Villain name despite wanting to live as herself, as Toga Himiko, Shigaraki spoke up in indirect defense of her choice, providing himself as an example of someone who didn't use a Villain name, and who can override the boss' words? Dabi was allowed to come and go as he pleased, and although he was the most aloof member, by the end, he was declaring the world burn for "our" sake - plural; the League's. Mr. Compress believed in Shigaraki enough to entrust an ancestor's dream and family legacy to him; when surrounded by Heroes at Jaku, he was willing to die to save Shigaraki, to let him escape.
The League is a collection of people that Shigaraki cares for - that he saved. That was always the surest sign that ‘Tenko’, sweet and kind and hero-aspiring boy, was alive inside.
Without the League, without having seen the time Shigaraki spent with the League, a reader can just write off Shigaraki and say there’s nothing left in there worth saving. The League is literally the evidence for Tenko have still existed and that Shigaraki was "worth" saving, long before we ever saw ‘Inner Tenko’.
But Deku doesn't understand that.
To go further: outside of the League, Shigaraki still had his distorted but undeniable kindness and fairness. I've spoke about it before, and sorry for repeating myself, but even towards his Villain enemies, he gives them consideration: Shigaraki left Overhaul crippled, but 100 chapters later, he's still continuing Overhaul's work - the quirk erasing bullets - and even laments that Overhaul would be disappointed when Shigaraki sees some of the bullets destroyed. All For One at Jaku tries to take over his body, at the time seemingly only a phantom voice in his head, but Shigaraki still acknowledges that he's grateful AFO took him in. It's only when AFO oversteps that again and again, taking possession of his body, that Shigaraki would tear the AFO vestige from inside out and mock him when the opportunity arises.
And there's ReDestro, and the importance of the ending of MVA. RD and his army picks a fight with Shigaraki - something that Shigaraki explicitly points out; the blame for what happened to Deika is on largely them. RD challenged Shigaraki and the League; blackmailed them, kidnapped their broker, and attacked their pitiful 6-member team with a town-sized militia; insulted Shigaraki, destroyed The Hands, tried to kill him. Shigaraki had every reason to just dust RD while the man was sitting there bleeding out with his legs cut off. Just finish him off without even giving the guy last words. It was more than fair.
But Shigaraki didn't. He went and talked to RD. To mock him for picking this fight, but it was still a talk. And when RD acknowledge his defeat and kowtowed, Shigaraki let him live. Took over his army and resources, but RD was still alive and even made lieutenant.
Without this - if Shigaraki had just dusted RD after defeating him - we would have only seen Shigaraki as a conquerer and not someone who can be reasoned with. He would just be AFO with different minions. And Shigaraki wasn't.
He can be brutal, and he seems like he's destroying for evil fun; but Shigaraki has his compassion and justice. A Villainous Hero for the Villains. It's why he destroys; it's why he doesn't regret his actions, why he wishes good luck to Deku to continue it, even after Deku smashed his core of anger and hatred. Shigaraki saved his League, and he refuses to disavow doing so. Because he shouldn't.
And Deku just doesn't understand that.

Father Figure Snape To Fred And George Weasley Snippets
Tumblr media
Snape originally hated the twins, with a passion. Seeing nothing but James in them. These pair of students who wanted to cause chaos and destruction. That goofed around, were Casanovas, and over all a burden to him
But as time went on, he started to see alot more Lilly in them. He noticed them be there for the younger kids. Making rules on who to prank and who to not prank. They even apologized when a joke went too far. They had a moral code, and a clear passion for potions. They weren’t James, and they weren’t Lily either. They were their own beings, and he admired it
He had to keep up his scary aesthetic, for a number of reasons, so he tried to hide his fatherly affection from public eye. But he would slip up, now and again. And it was REALLY noticeable during Umbridges time. Given she was out for blood at the twins
Rumor has it that he was the one to even unlock the closet that had their brooms in, when she took them away from the twins, so that they could make their grand escape from school. There is no proof, besides some strange slashes at the lock on the closet. As if someone made multiple slashes.
Don’t lie. Molly is a good mom, but was verbally abusive. Especially at the twins. One of his ways to show his fatherly affection was that no matter what, he never raised his voice at them. Even when in class. When he had to yell, he made sure to make it clear it was either at a certain person or the class as a whole. So the twins didn’t have to be scared
When Snape passed on, that’s when the twins could be open about his affection. Knowing he wouldn’t be at risk of any punishment for it. They named him after muggle candy they make even, to let him have pride in his muggle blood. Along with other cute things. Like named his favorite flavor after him. Much like how they sold muggle things, in honor of their dad, they would even make mini potion kits for the honor of Snape
Snape 100% would talk to the twins about muggle things, and it was mentally healing for him. These two red heads that were so fascinated by muggle things, and ready to hear him about it. He’s able to see hope for the first time in a long while. To heal. To have some pride in his muggle blood, and comfort in the fact he had these pranksters genuinely be super invested
He even went as far as to be involved in pranks with the twins. Especially at Umbridge. It was healing to be part of the making of pranks, and even didn’t mind when the twins pranked him. Because the twins respected his trauma, and never did anything super extreme. Like they normally would. Silly things, like muggle pranks. Like invisible ink, and rather harmless jokes. Snape never got hurt by them, and it was comforting to know he could be treated normal like that. Normal, and with out pain
Snape so taught them how to perform muggle pranks, and no wizard was able to escape them. Given it’s a muggle thing, so they had no way to know what to expect. Made Snape hold pride in his half blood
Snape is able to be a little more sane, all because of the twins, and he makes sure that it’s known when he passes. That the twins are in his will, and inherited his things. Spinners End would end up becoming like a muggle summer home. That it’s now a home for joy, for the next bundle of Weasley kids, compared to pain that his family had. There was love in that house
It becomes a good safe haven, for George, when he needs to process Fred’s death. Which is very important for him. Somewhere different, but still familiar at the same time. Just away from it all. Somewhere safe, and in the muggle world. Away from anything that reminded him of Fred, but still a comfort of someone familiar. The man that helped raise them
Snape, in general, was a dad to all the Slytherin’s. Duh. So it catches the dorm off guard at seeing the twins inside now and again. When a party isn’t being thrown
Father figure Snape to Fred and George is my blood fuel. Thank you. One of the few students to ever get perfect grades in potion class, while still being goofballs
Probably one of the last few things Snape did, before the Dumbledore Moment was go to the Weasley Shop. To tell them in person he was proud, and maybe even show support in buying something. The twins, unaware, that these were the final acts of a dying man
George would also tell Daniel how much he reminded him of Snape, and that it wasn’t a bad thing. Happily sharing with him those special moments with the newest potion master to be
Snape was there for the moments Molly couldn’t, and uh. Yeah. That’s the post. Fight me. Father Snape

Im writing a ficlet to post here on tumblr and I got inspired by ur writing but everytime I read the mere start it's just a big no no What do i do???
first of all send it my way if you like!! second of all you have a few options:
1. Just Keep Going
remember you can go back and fix things!! if you keep writing you’ll stumble into a flow, and then you can go back and edit the beginning or middle to fit your vision.
2. Fuck Beginnings
the number one obstacle i had with writint when i was first starting out is that i could never think of a damn beginning. even now i struggle with it. best way to handle that: fuck beginnings. wherever you have a scene, start: in the middle of an argument, the middle of a scene, hell, the middle of a damn sentence. wherever the start of your idea is is the start of your story! don’t force something that doesn’t exist. (that 10k will angst fic i just wrote? started w the sherman & will argument scene! i had Nothing beforehand! and you’ll notice a lot of my stuff starts in the middle of a conversation, cause it’s easier!*)
3. Start Over
sometimes i’ll try so hard to make something i’ve already written work, even if i’m stuck, because i’ve already sunk so much time in it that starting again feels like a waste of time. but, dude, trust me — if you’re that stuck, just start over. maybe not the whole damn piece, but you can definitely rewrite a paragraph or chapter. personally, i tend to cut and paste whatever isn’t working into a new doc so i don’t lose it (in case i manage to reuse it elsewhere) and then i begin again, with uncluttered space.
4. Post What You Have
i should really link y’all to the first post i ever made. it was Hot Stinky Garbage. i don’t care. it Helped, you know? it started me out. maybe your thing isnt perfect — post it anyway. maybe nobody cares — post it anyway. (took like two weeks for someone to care about what i was posting on this account, and i posted daily. my first fic had zero notes for eight days.) you might even find that you’re just being too hard on yourself!
5. Dialogue Prompts My Beloved
dialogue is so so easy for me to write. it’s WAY easier for me to script a conversation and then build facial expressions, emotions, actions, and intention behind it, because i never shut up! i have a lot of practice. as you may have noticed i’ve been using the @p0ck3tf0x 100 ways to say i love you list — i’ve put it in a spinner wheel lol. so i spin the wheel and write the prompt, then i don’t have to make a decision. if i don’t like what comes up i spin again.
good luck!! wish you all the best!!
*it is a thousand times easier to build exposition through context. example:
Kayla walked up to her brother, who was sitting morosely on the porch. “Hey, Will. You good?”
Will shrugged. “I’m okay.”
vs.:
“Will. Hey. You good?”
“‘M okay.” He tried for a smile. “Thanks though, Kayla.”
see the difference? in the first, i am outright telling you that 1) kayla is walking over to will 2) he is sitting on the porch 3) he is sad 4) he is answering her question. this are all stated things, either by the narrator or by the dialogue. this is clunky! this is so clunky!
but why?
you know all these things. you know ‘hey’ is a greeting — so obviously kayla is newly approaching will. kayla calls will by name — you know who she’s talking to. will mumbles, and ‘tries for a smile’ — both things that indicate he’s feeling morose. he responds to kayla by name, so you know who he’s responding to. when you over-explain or state too much in your writing, you’re telling your readers twice, which can feel awkward.

Christmas games night - Day 19
Tumblr media
TW: Fluff
Summary: Your annual games night with your teammates and friends was the perfect way for you all to get prepared for the festive time ahead. It was filled with so much laughter, games and a lot of drinks. It was a perfect get-together.
Tumblr media
"Your breathing too loudly!" Jordan sternly said as he stared right at you from across the floor.
"No, I am not!" You quickly shot back with a laugh. Jordan's hands delicately skimmed the Jenga block hanging on for dear life. Everyone's breathing was held as the tense atmosphere fell across you all sat around in a circle looking at the wooden rectangular blocks.
"Shhhhhh" Thiago whispered as he looked closely at his captain's actions. For years since you and Jordan moved down to Liverpool, you had always held an annual games night. It started small, just you and him a couple of days before Christmas but as years went by more and more people started to join as well as many more games, many more alcoholic drinks and throwback songs. Jordan's hand started to pull out the wooden block as you all held every single breath and feared to move an inch of your body.
"Guys! Food is here!" Curtis shouted as soon as Jordan was close to completing his go. As the words fell from Curtis's mouth Jordan's hand smashed onto the many pieces in strange orders trying to keep its balance. In a matter of seconds, the whole of the Jenga set fell to the floor and Jordan was left with one piece to his name.
"Curtis!" Jordan shouted with a laugh as he realised the mess he had made for you all. You all couldn't stop laughing at how one wooden game could go from 0 to 100 in just one second. You pushed the tears from your cheeks as the amusement of your husband sent you all out of control.
"Sorry mate!" Curtis shouted back as he kicked the door closed whilst juggling all of the takeaway boxes in his arms.
"Right we need to play Twister later on," Diogo said with a laugh as you all pulled yourselves off the floor and made your way over to the aroma of food coming from the kitchen. A few of the lads and their families were stuck in your and Jordan's large kitchen singing and dancing to the familiar Christmas songs.
"We do" you quickly replied as you and Jordan followed the Portuguese striker out of the living room door. Your house was filled with piles and piles of Christmas decorations making the bright lights from the ceiling dance off the glittered ribbon and shiny baubles.
As soon as you had all eaten your food and sung along to plenty more Christmas songs the drunken task of the twister was upon you all. Since you had started the annual Christmas parties Twister was always the game that caused the most giggles and most accidents. Alisson was the champion three times running due to his flexible body.
"Right come on!" Jordan shouted with a laugh as he shook open the twister mat and laid it down on the floor. You all pilled into the living room with laughs and smiles as Jordan tried his best to sort out the game. Diogo quickly grasped the spinner with a smile as he stood proudly waiting for the game to start. "Who is going first?" Diogo added with a questionable expression as he cocked his head to the side.
"I'll go!" Trent and Curtis both shouted as they came running through the living room door pushing each other out of the way.
"Which one?" You asked with a laugh as they both pushed each other to get closer to the twister mat.
"Me!" Trent quickly shouted as he jumped onto the mat and took a spin.
"Left-hand red" Diogo shouted as Trent placed his hand onto the given mark.
"Jordan your go," You said with a smile as he gave you a smirk as if he didn't want to join in. You knew how much twister annoyed your husband due to his questionable increasing age.
"Left foot blue" Diogo shouted again as you all watched the 32-year-old waddle onto the mat. Trent giggled to himself as he looked up at his familiar captain.
"Something funny lad?" Jordan asked with a raised eyebrow as he placed his foot on the blue mark and tried to push his friend over.
"Jordan that is against the rules!" You warned with a laugh as Diogo high-fived you with a smile.
"You are supposed to be on my side" Jordan said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"I am babe! I love old men" You said with a cheeky tone. Everyone around you laughed as the joke of Jordan becoming slightly older than everyone else started to amuse the group.
"You mean you love dilfs" Jordan corrected with a wink as James tried to work out where his action was going to be on the mat. You took one look at him and shook your head.
"I know what I meant babe" You warned with a giggle as you gave him a soft kiss on his cheek and clambered to sit closer to him as he tried to balance as much as possible on the mat. Games night was forever filled with laughter, jokes and more often than not taking the piss out of your Jordan, even if you didn't mean it.

Today's compilation:
25 Hard-to-Find Motown Classics, Vol. 3 1986 R&B / Soul
Alright, folks, I can't tell you what next week will bring, but rest assured that this is my last Motown comp for this particular week. And while I've been having a whole lot of fun with some surface-skimming chart-toppers over the past couple days, today, to close out this little Motown stretch that I've been on, we change course by digging a bit deeper, and getting to know some much more underrated soul and R&B gems from the enormous catalog of this indispensable juggernaut of black popular music.
I really don't even know where to begin with this final and third dispatch from this 25 Hard-to-Find Motown Classics series, but I suppose we can start with the most well-known song of the entire bunch, one-hit-wonder The Contours' "Do You Love Me," a super catchy and dancy bit of R&B from 1961 that featured the infectiously passionate shrieks of lead singer Billy Gordon. Motown owner Berry Gordy actually intended for this song to go to The Temptations, who themselves had not scored a hit yet either, but when Gordy wanted them to come and record the song, he was unable to locate them. So, he enlisted the struggling Contours to perform it to his liking instead; and they obliged, managing to net a #3 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with it.
A number of much less successful Contours singles would then end up following that one too, like 1966's terrific and uptempo "Just a Little Misunderstanding," which didn't appear on any of the group's studio albums, and was their first hit to not feature Billy Gordon on lead, either. Instead, they used Joseph Stubbs, brother of The Four Tops' own frontman Levi Stubbs, and it would turn out to be the only time that Joseph would actually lead a Contours single, as he'd vacate from the group and Motown altogether soon after. But did I mention that this song that only made it to #88 on the Hot 100 was also composed by Stevie Wonder and that he played drums on it too?😯
Now, there's so many other very high-quality tunes in this collection that I could extensively go on about here, from Kim Weston's underappreciated and heart-poured "Love Me All the Way," to a trio of songs that showcase the tremendous, high-pitched tenderness of Eddie Holland, to the Isley Brothers' "Behind a Painted Smile," which never actually managed to chart in the US; but I can't go anywhere today without gushing over this album's closer, "I Wouldn't Change the Man He Is," by the mononymously named Blinky. This lady's biggest claim to fame ended up being that she supplied the lead female vocal to the theme song for the 1970s sitcom Good Times, but this debut single of hers, which was actually written by none other than Ashford & Simpson, is really something else. It comes with wonderfully dramatic drum fills that accompany her own dynamic and very powerful voice. Blinky would unfortunately end up falling through the cracks at Motown, but she totally slayed on this underrated, rollercoastering soul nugget here 😍.
So, this is really one of the greatest Motown comps of all time, as far as I'm concerned. It's nowhere near being a cheat-code release that's made up some of the label's most popular hits, and instead digs into the vaults in order to assemble a batch of largely underheard gold.
Highlights:
Kim Weston - "Take Me In Your Arms" Kim Weston - "Love Me All the Way" Velvelettes - "A Bird in the Hand (Is Worth Two in the Bush)" Tammi Terrell - "Come On and See Me" Shorty Long - "Devil With the Blue Dress" Edwin Starr - "Agent Double O Soul" Edwin Starr - "(S.O.S.) Stop Her On Sight" Eddie Holland - "Leaving Here" Eddie Holland - "Just Ain't Enough Love" Eddie Holland - "Candy to Me" The Isley Brothers - "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)" The Isley Brothers - "Behind a Painted Smile" Detroit Spinners - "Truly Yours" The Contours - "Just a Little Misunderstanding" The Contours - "Do You Love Me" Marv Johnson - "Why Do You Want to Let Me Go" The Elgins - "Stay in My Lonely Arms" The Elgins - "Put Yourself in My Place" Blinky - "I Wouldn't Change the Man He Is"

Floyd Leech - Crazy Yet Cute (Head Canons)
Happy Birthday to the Leech Twins! Floyd is my favourite of the two and I just wanted to make some HCs dedicated to this adorable eel! Hope you all like them!
𝕃𝕖𝕥’𝕤 𝕤𝕖𝕖 𝕟𝕠𝕨, 𝕀 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕖 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕥𝕒𝕝𝕖 𝕘𝕠𝕖𝕤 𝕒 𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕝𝕖 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖...
Tumblr media
He absolutely hates pants and has walked around the dorm in only his underwear on multiple occasions- why? Because he felt like it.
He seems like the type to bite his pencils until they have teeth marks all over them.
Floyd sleeps with a stuffed octopus he’s named “Takoyaki”, yes he has tried to eat it in his sleep.
The most embarrassing thing he’s done (so far) was let one out in the middle of a test- it was so loud and obnoxious that it echoed in the classroom. He blamed it on Lucius.
Floyd has attempted more than once to sleep- ahem- “commando” but of course his twin tells him not to. He has even attempted to walk around like so but was thankfully stopped all because he said he hates how clothing feels…
Floyd 100% has some form of autism.
Floyd, from my observations and from how he speaks about certain clothes- I assume he has a a sort of “sensory” condition??
He collects fidget spinner’s- yes he keeps them in his pocket.
It should be no surprise that he’s the messier twin and with that being said he has actually went out wearing mismatched socks.
Sometimes he gets lonely at night despite sharing a room with his twin so he hops in bed with Jade so he feels like he did when they were younger.
He strikes me as someone who would watch sensory videos for children on loop.
Floyd is extremely ticklish, however he will not hesitate to turn the tables on you.
He uses a mood octopus to express when he’s angry, sometimes he even hides in a blanket ball when he’s really not in the mood to talk- the mood octopus does all the talking for him.
Snores like a lawn mower on steroids.
He was an aggressive child, so much so that he nearly got expelled- however he had a good reason! The other children were bullying his brother, he had to do something.
I genuinely feel like he was the “crybaby” of the two as children.
He sleep talks.
Floyd decided to pick on Epel the same way he picks on Riddle and slung him over his shoulder, Vil of course had to step in.
His camera roll on his phone is mainly memes.
When he was a child he head-butted a pole so much that it may have left some long term effects.

~Going to the fair with the league of villains~
Tumblr media
headcanon|scenario|imagine|match-up
-The One who gets lost as soon as you start walking:
This is Twice for sure. That’s why he has to hold hands with Toga or Magne because he gets sidetracked looking at all the different booths. It’s a lot going on for him. One time they all went to the fair and lost Twice within 10 minutes of being there because he stopped walking to stare at some kid trying to win a goldfish instead of following the rest of the group. They kept calling but his phone was on silent. Eventually they found him at the bumper car station repeatedly ramming his car into some poor child that couldn’t turn their wheel fast enough.
-The One who is a dare devil and rides every ride there:
Tomura and Magne 100% The other members might ride a few things here and there but it’s Tomura and Magne that take on the entire fair. “If I paid to get in here, you can be damn sure I’m not wasting my money by walking around. No offense to you guys.” Magne says before she’s strapped into a ride that will take her dozens of feet into the air and turn her upside down. Tomura rides everything terrifying with a complete straight face. It’s actually funny to watch while everyone else is screaming with their hands up, he’s calmly going with the motions of the rides.
-The One who wants to sit and watch the little performances instead of anything else:
Compress, Kurogiri, and Mustard. These three seem to be drawn toward the various magic shows, dare devil motorcycle feats, fire twirling, and whatnot. They quietly watch and chat amongst themselves about it while the rest of the League members are having fun. It’s rare you’d ever get any of them to ride anything with you. Maybe, just MAYBE you could get one of them on the Ferris wheel but that’s a big “if” yknow? Other than that, they came for the shows and they will not miss them for anything in the world.
-The One who came just for the petting zoo:
Toga absolutely fits the bill. Yes she loves a few of the rides, but her main goal is the petting zoo. She could spend an hour in that cramped/stinky area just petting on the various animals there and taking lots of pictures. It’s the same with the zoo but that’s a different story. She also shells out every quarter in her pocket just so she can keep filling up her tiny plastic cup with animal food to feed them. She named every animal there and she feels a special connection with the Coatimundi they let crawl on her shoulders. Not to mention the fact she’s considered trying to slip a baby duckling out of there in her cardigan pocket as well.
-The One who came just for the food:
Spinner, Muscular, and Moonfish. Yeah they’ll ride the rides of they feel like it but the real reason they showed up was to eat till their hearts content. I’m willing to bet money Spinner will go through 7 chicken on a stick before he’s had enough. Muscular destroys those giant smoked Turkey legs and Moonfish...oh man. The booth cooks are scared when he comes up again and again. They’re running low on onion rings. He won’t stop asking for onion rings. Fuck why won’t this guy stop asking for onion rings?!
-The One who spends all their money on the fair games and gets pissed off when they keep losing:
Also Shigaraki. When he’s taking breaks from the rides, he stops at booths and stares while other people play. He’s trying to analyze how it works so he could try and beat it. Once he’s stood there looking menacing, he’s going to give it a go. The booth is rigged of course. He ends up standing there for most of the night, alternating between the rides and the bathroom before coming back to try again and again. He’s very competitive and when he doesn’t win something he gets the overwhelming urge to decay the booth, prizes, and the workers too. “No...not today...not yet.” He grumbles to himself after losing for the 20th time that night.
-The One who makes you pull over the car on the way back home so they can throw up:
Dabi. He got on one ride near the end of the night before it was time to go. That was a fucking mistake on his part. He chose to try out the zero gravity ride that spins fast as hell in a circle. You know the one? He’s dizzy and nauseous considering he ate before he got on the ride. He makes Spinner pull the car over at the end of the night so he can vomit on the side of the road next to a bank parking lot. I feel so bad for the late night workers that saw him through the glass window. They were too frozen to even call the cops on the League. “How in the hell can one man puke so much???”
-The One who spent their money on the stupidest shit there:
Toga and Twice. These two once went through 100$ at the fair. Want to know what they purchased that they thought was more essential than anything else? Okay here goes: a bubble wand, a sticker pack, 4 inflatable dolphins, a cowboy hat with glitter on the rim, a caricature, two matching toddler backpacks with puppies printed on them, a giant horse plush (they named Todd by the way), three wooden necklaces, glowsticks, and a shit ton of rubber ducks. God only knows what the hell they planned on using it for.

WARNING: Mention of abuse, necrophilia, and rape! Also NSFW stuff! Minors DNI! (Sorry for not posting that before!)
Ok, wanted to make this before I go on vacation tomorrow: what kind of boyfriend/girlfriend the LOV would be like. I'm writing a poly-relationship dark longfic (I'll provide links if anyone is interested) and that inspired this post. Also, this is based on fem!reader, so if it doesn't fit you, feel free to replace or add the needed words as you read. K, let's go.
Dabi: Rarely shows emotions, but deep down loves you immensely. You're the only good thing in his life. Can be possessive, but not in a way to raise concern. Refuses to be vulnerable unless he's alone with you or had a bad day. (NSFW: In bed, he is the top. Always. Pinning you down, just plowing into you until you moan his name. He'd tie you up and use you as his little play thing. You will be marked by the end of it, hickeys, bite marks, small burn spots, nothing serious or too noticeable).
Shigaraki: Yandere as hell. Is obsessed with you and will kill anyone who looks at you suggestively. Is quick to anger and can easily misunderstand situations due to that temper. But he is also just a scared little kid deep down. He craves your touch, your presence, your scent. He will cling to you like a kid clings to a teddy bear if he's upset. (NSFW: pretty similar to Dabi, but he'd talk about how you're all his, no one else's. Has a master/slave kink).
Spinner: You're the reason he keeps fighting for a better world. He will act like a tough guy in public, but you know that he's just putting up a front since when you're alone, he's a blushing, shy, embarrassed ball of scales. Dude will freeze up the moment you hug or kiss him. You two would play video games and he sometimes lets you win just to see that look of joy on your face. (NSFW: Most likely he's a virgin, so he'd be shy as all hell. He'd be making sure that you're alright and try to help you feel as good as he does. Such a caring lover. Also, dude has a lizard quirk, right? So it's possible he'd be affected during mating season. Cuz whoo boi, will you need birth control then. He will drop the shyness act and try to get a baby in you until his tank is empty. Just destroying you in bed, enough so you're walking funny the next day. Sometimes into knife play, making small cuts on your skin and licking them).
Twice: Oh. My. God. He loves you so much. You're the equivalent of a goddess to him. He would be so protective of you, beating the living daylights out of people who try to hurt you. When he's having a bad day because of his mental problems, the moment you pull him in and hold him close, he will melt like ice in 100°F weather, being a blubbering mess, saying how much he loves you and wants to marry you. Such a cinnamon roll. And he'd be such a good father, oh my lord. He will love you and your child more than anything. (NSFW: He'd probably be 70% bottom, 30% top. He would be worried about hurting you or making sure you feel good too. He'd do his best to let you finish first. The moment you're on top, he sees you as a gift from God himself, feeling so blessed to have you).
Mr. Compress: This suave, Tuxedo Mask wannabe motherfucker. He will sweep you off your feet the moment he lays eyes on you. You'll be his beautiful assistant in his acts and he'll treat you like a princess. Dude will be smooth as all hell and give no fucks about it. Mirio has met his match when it comes to flirting with you. You will blush as red as a tomato each time he throws a pick-up line at you. (NSFW: He is the ringleader of this show. He will tease the hell out of you and have you begging for him. He'd use his cold metal hand against your hot skin and watch you wiggle and squirm. You are the lion, he is the lion tamer. You'll be craving him til he decides to give it to you).
Toga: Well if she doesn't kill you, she'd be that bubbly high school girl kind of girlfriend. Go on fun dates like the mall, eating at a restaurant, going dancing, killing small animals and some randos on the street. You'd both would have horror movie nights and she'd cheer for the murderer in the films. (NSFW [she's over 18 in this headcanon]: Favorite position is on top. She also loves knife play, leaving little knicks here and there and cleaning up any blood with her tongue).
Muscular: ..yeah no he'd be a very abusive boyfriend. Sorry for the Muscular fans out there, I just don't see him as dateable. (NSFW: Oh no sweetie. He would rape you daily, no say in the matter.)
Mustard: He wouldn't be a good boyfriend either. Guy only cares about himself and would date himself if he could. (NSFW: NO)
Kurogiri: He'd be the gentleman type. That's all I got. (NSFW: That's fucking necrophilia, I ain't touching that).
Moonfish: ...I mean he'd certainly be obsessed with you, but not in the way you'd want. He'd probably would just rather eat you. (NSFW: He'd probably just get off to eating you, and not in the sexy way).

lov: adoption!au headcanons
Tumblr media
mtha thots: it’s a quirkless au (for now) where you adopt the lov when theyre children. kurogiri may or may not be a possible love interest. i’m not sure yet, but that’s not the point. it’s a rough outline of some fluffy stuff and these might not be coherent but i’ve fallen into the suken place and there’s no getting out. also no beta, we die like hot girls
warnings: none
Tumblr media
when you first met tenko on the sidewalk, you didn’t know this frightened and anrgy little boy would turn into the most precious thing in your life
he had been on the street for nearly the entire day and you were the first to reach out to him with tenderness in your eyes
he latched onto you and cried his little heart out
and you knew you right then, you couldn’t let this boy go
despite the intial trust, it was a difficult adjustment for you and tenko
his past was a horror story and it would take patience, love, and A LOT of therapy to heal from it, but you never lost hope
but with each soft touch, warm smile, and patient gaze, he grew more relaxed in you presence
when things get better, tenko brightens into this hopeful and giving young boy who wants to help everyone!
he’s also upfront about his thoughts now (bc he feels safe enough to speak his truth) and it shows when you tell him it’s time to put cocoa butter on his skin so it won’t dry up
he’ll stomp around for a second and say, “but i dont wanna!”
but just give him “the look” and he’ll drag his feet over to you
bc yeah youre nice but he knows better than to push it
besides, tenko secretly loves it anyways bc then he feels all warm and soft and you always give him the biggest hugs afterwards so it’s worth it
the first time he called you mama/papa/baba was when he crawled into your bed after a nightmare
before he fell back asleep he whispered, “i love you, ___”
you held him tight and cried the entire night
time goes by and tenko starts going to school
it’s also a difficult adjustment bc he’s a little shy around new people
you figure taking him out to the park for ice cream and to play with other children would help
you turn around for TWO seconds to pay for it and this boy is gone
you all but panic until he reappears with another kid in hand
tenko doesnt let you get a word in before he goes, “mama/papa/baba, this is dabi. he’s 10 and he hates his dad too! can we take him home?”
that’s when you learn that your son had a knack for picking up stray children
and in the end, you end up adopting them bc, well, you fall in love w dabi, then toga, and spinner
just as you did tenko
and a couple of years pass and somehow, you’ve winded up with a quartet of children in your apartment who you’d die for
they all come with their separate issues, quirks, and baggage, but their hearts shine brighter with each day
dabi is a tsundere that scares off bullies and totally DOES NOT like it when you kiss his forehead
toga is basically attached to your hip, like she doesnt walk 40% of the time when youre around
spinner creates huge houses and sculptures on minecraft dedicated in your name and gets super flustered when you make a bg deal out of it even tho he likes it hehe
tenko tries to be “all grown up” around you but aboslutely melts when you hold him and rake your fingers through his hair
it’s all nice but you’ll admit, it’s tough
between working, taking care of them, and holding up the house, you barely sleep
there was one time you came home from work and just collapsed on the couch, 100% knocked out
you wake up the next morning, horrified that you slept for that long
however, you’re delighted to find a blanket over you, a bowl of soup on the table, and all four of your children hapazardly curled up on your chest and legs, fast asleep
you nearly pass out from how cute it was!
somehow someway, the lov (in this au called the league of outcasts lmao) find themselves together
their always over having sleepovers, playing video games, or just gossiping about lame adults
one day, when kurogiri drops off sako, magne, and jin, they see a small blush form on his usually stoic face
and all hell breaks loose
they come up with an ingenous plan to get you two together so they can actually be a real family
im not sure about the details but it’s a lot of “coincidental” meetings
tenko, spinner and jin bring him up a lot to you
magne, toga, and sako try and give kurogiri hints about what you like
dabi “accidentally” tripped you into his arms once
it’s a whole mess
but it might be working???
who knows
but regardless, you all have found solace in one another when at one point, it didn’t seem like you ever would
it came with it’s trials and tribulations but finding tenko was the best thing that couldve happened to you
it led you to your new family
and guess what? they all feel the same way about you

Mixer Romantic ending.
(Y/N) laid on her couch staring up at the ceiling. It was the middle of July and she was hot, bored, and sweaty. She sat up and reached for the remote, just to be caught off guard by a text notification. Selever. She opened the app. [Selever] Hey Roachy! [Selever] my friends and I are going to the mixer [Selever] come with to even out the numbers (Y/N) looked at her screen. A mixer huh? Cool beans. It’s not like she had anything to do over the summer. She typed quickly as she replied. [Y/N] cool lemme in [Selever] lmao you’re actually gonna come? [Selever] okay, well, meet at 401 Dragon Rock Ave. [Y/N] there’s a bar there?? [Selever] lol who said we’re going to a bar [Selever] we gon be going to kareoke b#### [Y/N] OK [Y/N] what time [Selever] idk, around 8. [Y/N] K see ya [Selever] ciao (Y/N) looked at the clock. 6pm. She had about two hours to get ready. She set a 50 minute timer and turned on the TV. She had time to burn. So the time came. (Y/N) ran out her house with her purse in hand. She slid into her car and started it up. Streetlights passed as she turned left and right. A call rang. She picked it up. “Hello, who is it?” She asked. “Hello, I called to talk about your car’s extended warranty,” Selever replied. Snickering could be heard. (Y/N) laughed. Why did he always start a call like that? “Hi Sel,” she said. “Where you at right now?” “I’m only like, a hundred meters from the place.” “Ha, sure you are.” “Oh hey! I see you! Okay, imma hang up!” She closed off the call and pulled her car into a parking slot. Selever stood waiting for her. He was wearing something pretty different from his normal attire. He had a magenta dress shirt on, and a black suit vest over it. A complimentary black tie and dark dress pants completed his look. “Woah I didn’t think you’d actually come,” Selever smirked. “Getting desperate?” He asked. “Ha, no. Just doing my job as the number-even-outter.” (Y/N) replied, getting out of her car. “Really? Cause you seem pretty dressed up for someone who’s just evening out the numbers.” He was right. (Y/N) had dressed up a bit for this occasion. She wore a blue one piece with a flower on the head of its belt. She wore a white cardigan, and two strands of her (H/C) hair, tied in braids, met at the back of her head. She wore knee high socks, and Mary Janes completed the outfit. “Yes really, now let’s go in! I wanna destroy everyone’s eardrums!” (Y/N) grabbed his hand and entered the building. This one seemed to be slightly different from other bars. Like a Japanese kareoke place? There was a reception area, and you’d go into a room to sing. They ran past the reception and straight to the room at the end of the hall. Selever opened up the door. “THE LAST LADY’S HERE!” He yelled. In the room were two other guys, and two other girls. Starting with the girls, there was one with blue hair, which was tied back in her pony tail. She had pink eyes and wore a grey turtleneck with a long skirt. The other girl had black hair, which covered her left eye. Red eyes. She wore a beanie, as well as a black shirt. She wore jeans, giving off a relaxed vibe. As for the two guys, a grey cat was among them. His hair? Fur? Was tied back in a ponytail. He wore a yellow hoodie over a suit, she assumed. He wore black pants and wore brown sneakers. Last one was a skull of… a goat? Moose? A demon? He wore a white dress shirt, and brown dress pants. His body and limbs seemed to be invisible, as his head and hand floated in the air. (Y/N) cautiously entered the room. “Hello…. I’m (Y/N).” The girl with blue hair waved. “Hi!! I’m Sky!” She held some cards in her hand. “Wanna play Uno with us?” “Sure,” (Y/N) said, sitting down. Selever also sat at the boys’ side. A round passed. Then two. Then an an hour, as they ate and sang. “Kay! Uhhh (Y/N!) It’s your turn!” The cat man said, taking the input pad and handing it over to her. “Sorry Kapi, I’m not too good at singing,” she denied. “You sure? You haven’t sang all hour.” “Mmm maybe one song.” She took the pad and scrolled through the songs. Bingo. She entered the code as a upbeat tune started playing. She held up the mic, slightly embarrassed she was singing this. Selever gave her a thumbs up and smiled. She took a breath and sang. The others watched her as she hit every note. When the song finished, she put down the mic and quickly returned to her seat. They clapped for a moment or two. “Woah. You’re pretty good (Y/N)!” Sky said. “I’m really not,” (Y/N) said. “Oh for f###’s sake, just accept it,” Selever rebutted. “You’re good and you know it.” Kapi stretched. “Okay, I think we’re all warmed up.” Warmed up?! That was warming up?! For what?! (Y/N) confusedly looked around the room. “Tabi, where’d you put the spinner?” Kapi asked. “It should be with the chips.” Seriously what were they bouta do?! Kapi took out a spinner. On each slice was each of their names. Tabi, Annie, Kapi, Sky, Selever, (Y/N), all of them. Kapi flicked the arrow. Landed on his name. “I GO FIRST!” He said, grabbing his phone. He fiddling with it, he got something to play on the screen. His own song. He took a deep breath and started to sing. Annie cheered him on. (Y/N) looked in shock. He was singing his own song. This probably means the others have their own too. Goddammit, no! She prayed for the wheel to never land on her, she didn’t have one yet! Kapi’s song finished, and the screen read, “Beathoven.mp4 - unknown”.  “Oh yeah! That felt great! Okay, who’s next?” He spun the wheel again. “Uh… Annie! Ya gonna go?” Annie took out her phone. “Hell yeah I am.” She took a swig of her drink and got up. After fiddling with her phone, a new song started playing. She bopped her head a few times, until she also started to sing. (Y/N) leaned over to Selever. “You know I don’t have a song! What do I do?!” She whispered. Selever leaned back. “It’s fine. I can cover you if it lands anyway. Just get one of your weeb songs to play if I can’t.” As Annie’s song finished, she spun the wheel. Sky Same routine. She got up, fiddled around, and sang. (Y/N) paid no attention to it. She was only thinking about what would happen when her turn came. What does he mean he can cover her?! What does he mean play a weeb song?! Did he mean vocaloid? Before she knew it, Sky’s turn was over. Kapi spun the spinner. Oh god damn it. “(Y/N)! It’s your turn!” He slid the pad to her. She looked at it in fear. “Um- a-” she was cut off. Selever picked up the pad. “M'kay. I’m bored. My turn motherfruskas!” Nobody stopped him. Just sighed and shook their heads. He tapped his phone. A steady beat came out of the speakers. Selever smirked at (Y/N) as he began to sing. It was upbeat. Pretty steady, until 30 seconds in. A sudden tempo change. His song was upbeat. And somewhat fast. As the song finished he put the mic back down on the table. “You had a song?? Wh- why is it so chaotic?! HOW’D YOU EVEN HIT THAT?!” Sky questioned as she, and the others clapped. Selever leaned back with his hands behind his head. “It’s was made to fit me, and me specifically. Of course it’s chaotic.” Kapi put away the wheel. “Okay, since there’s only Tabi and (Y/N) left now, I’m gonna flip a coin. Tabs, heads or tails?” He flipped it into the air. “Tails.” Tabi replied. Kapi caught, and shielded the coin from view. (Y/N) prayed it was tails. He revealed the coin to be… “Tails! ‘Kay Tabi, you’re up!” He handed the pad to the floating skull, as a new song started to play. (Y/N) let out a sigh of relief. At least now she could think of which song to sing herself. I mean, Aishite was pretty good, but dark. PoPiPo sounded too idiotic. She could sing partners in crime…. if she had a partner. “So, be honest (Y/N),” Annie said, still keeping her eyes on Tabi. “You don’t have a song, do you?” (Y/N) jumped. “I uh…” “It’s fine. I didn’t really expect someone like you to have one anyway.” Someone like me? The hell does that mean?! (Y/N)’s pettiness rose up. She still didn’t have a song, but she sure as hell knew which one she wanted to sing. Just as Tabi’s song finished, she snatched the pad and connected her phone. She looked up at the screen. Beeps played as she stood up, grabbed the mic, and waited for the first notes to come. She took a deep breath, turned to look at everyone and sang. “EVERSINCEIWASBORNFROMTHATDAYIHADKNOWNTHATIAMNOTHINGMORETHANASIMULATIONBUTI'LLKEEPLIVINGUNTILLDESTROYED, LIVINGFOREVERYESIAMAVOCALOID. IFFOREXAMPLESINGINGWASJUSTATOYTHATWOULDSINGBACKTHETUNESYOUGAVETOTHEMIDTHINKTHATWASALRIGHT, WHILEILOOKATTHESKY, BITETHISLEEK, WATCHTHESOUPPOURINGFROMMYEYES. HEARTORSOULIHAVENOTHINGLEFTINSIDEOFMEICANSEETHECENTEROFTHEVOID, YES I AM A VOCALOID!” She huffed as the intro stopped. The others looked at her wide eyed. She smiled. She may have regained a bit of confidence. As the vocals continued, she did too. Hitting every note perfectly as the song went on. At the end, she set down her mic. Selever clapped for her, and the others joined him. Tabi looked at the clock. Holy crap. 2 am. “Okay, I have to go, I have work,” he said, getting up. “Actually, we should probably all go now. The time’s almost up anyway,” Sky pointed out. (Y/N) picked up her purse. They were right. She didn’t have anything to do over the summer, but it was getting late. They all walked out to the parking lot, and said their goodbyes. Only Selever and (Y/N) was left now. “So, got anyone you put your eyes on?” Selever asked. (Y/N) sighed. “They were nice, but not really my type, ya know? Would go drink with tho 100%.” She smiled. “Besides, I don’t think any of the guys really liked me.”
“Do I not count as a guy for you then?” Selever snarked. (Y/N) looked at him with wide eyes. “You like me?” She asked. Selever flushed, being caught off guard. “What?! No! I didn’t- No! I just eurrgggggg” he buried his face in his hands and groaned. (Y/N) giggled. “Shut uuuup….” “No, it’s not that,” she replied, trying to force the giggles to stop. “It’s just funny how you like me too.” They stood in silence looking into each other. (Y/N) smiled as she left Sel for her car. “M'kay! Bye! Sel! See ya next time!” She said, as she drove off. Selever stood in front of the building. Hoooooly crap. She likes me. She… likes me? Why? What is there to like? He laughed at himself as he walked in the direction of the church. At least she liked him. That’s was all that mattered.

wondering about the names here. He's probably using "Shigaraki Tomura" because no one knows who Tenko was... so why doesn't Deku just fucking say something? Tell Tenko's story? Tell people that Shigaraki Tomura's original name is Shimura Tenko? Ochako is pouring her heart out about Toga, literally talking about "what if"s, and Deku has the same regrets, but he keeps that information to himself.
(tho for Ochako, she uses the katakana for Himiko's name, which is what Himiko herself uses - whenever she declares herself Toga Himiko, she ditches the kanji of the original name she was born with)
idk. Maybe he's trying to respect Shigaraki/Tenko's privacy by not revealing that information. (Not that he ever respected that when he was trying to ram his way into Shigaraki's psyche)
(same as when he visited Spinner. Deku knows Spinner and Shigaraki were friends. He sees Spinner being in absolute grief over Shigaraki. Deku also saw the Mikkun and Tomochan 'You should be All Might!' memory and presumably knows that trait of friendship and desire to be a Hero comes from that moment. But then he doesn't seem to think it's relevant to tell Spinner about Tenko. Is he respecting Shigaraki's last words? Is he trying to let Spinner stay believing in now what Deku would think is a deception after the 419 reveal? Did he feel all he needed to relay were the words and barely anything else because Spinner is a villain and he owes Spinner nothing, thus Deku's not actually following what he says about reaching out when it's none of his business?)
(And now that I think about it, Deku never refers to the Crying Child as like. Shimura, or Shimura-kun. He might not have known about the name 'Tenko', but he def knew Shigaraki had the last name Shimura. Nana's last name was Shimura; she states clearly that she had a son, who would've kept her last name, making it so that the grandson would also have the last name Shimura (tho admittedly that's not 100% certain - Kotarou could've taken his wife's name, so Deku couldn't have been sure). Maybe he was also trying to stick with what Shigaraki calls himself? Or he truly sees Shigaraki and Tenko as separate people.)
Man. I need to stop trying to find logic here, I think.

Hi 🤗
Can I ask for young!Severus when he has a crush on a reader, but he's to shy to admit it and she's so nice to him and they're starting to talk and spend more time together and become friends (maybe finally even more than just friends)?😊
A New World With You
Pairing: Young!Severus x Slytherin!Pureblood!Reader
Summary: Tension between Muggles and Wizards grow worse during your final year at Hogwarts, and in an attempt to help educate the students, you’re taken on a class trip where you end up exploring London with Severus.
Word Count: 8777
A/N: This was inspired by Midnight Stars Tree by @bush-viper-cutie. I’ve been thinking about this story a lot lately because I loved it so much. It’s so creative and so well written, I definitely recommend giving it a read. I think I veered from the original ask a bit, but I think I hit all the major points. Either way, I hope you enjoy. This one was a lot of fun to write and I love how it turned out.
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a fun get-a-way, a break from schoolwork and all the stress that came with it. But now, not only did you have to give up your weekend to complete a school assignment, you were randomly being paired with someone in your class. It wasn’t fair. Professor Polliwog could have at least let you pick your own partner, you didn’t need to be paired with someone who’d lived in the Muggle world to explore it. All you needed was a sense of adventure and some good company, which you thought you had this morning when you and your best friends got up early to prepare for the trip, excited to explore the city you’d always passed through on your way to the Hogwarts express, never giving it a second glance.
You couldn’t help the fact your parents had introduced you to most of your Hogwarts friends before you’d even gotten your letter, or that none of you had thought to visit the Muggle world before now. Why would you when everything you could possibly need was right there in the Wizarding world? But now that you were being given the chance to explore the unknown, to get to know how Muggles lived, you wanted to do it on your own terms without a Muggleborn tour guide.
“Gather around everyone, gather around,” Professor Polliwog ushered everyone around her on the platform as the last of the students jumped off the Hogwarts Express. You and your friends stuck together, frowning with anticipation of who you’d be paired with. You barely knew anyone who wasn’t raised in the Wizarding world, especially since your house was filled with so many Pureblood and Halfbloods, you didn’t have the slightest clue who you’d be paired with. You wondered if there were even enough Muggleborns to pair with the rest of the school. “I will read out your names in pairs and you will have eight hours to explore the town and return with enough information to write your papers. We will meet back here at 9:20 and make our way to the hotel for the night so don’t lose your tickets!”
“Why do we have to stay in a Muggle hotel? Can’t we at the very least have the night to recover from our visit to the zoo?” One of the students on the other end of the crowd spoke, his friends chuckling at his humourless joke. You shrugged at the attitude many of your Slytherin peers shared with one another, feeling like you were the only one excited to spend a night in a Muggle town. Even your friends weren’t as enthusiastic as you about the idea of sleeping at a Muggle hotel, acting like they were being forced to sleep in an uncivilized reservation with no running water or heating.
“You know very well Mr. Nott that returning to the Wizarding world would defeat the purpose of this trip. Tensions between Muggles and Wizards have risen quite a bit in the last few years, and this trip is meant to teach you Muggles aren’t so different from us. We must learn how they live so that we may learn to live in peace amongst them.”
Severus rolled his eyes, the irony of Polliwog’s words lost on him when it was clear she barely knew anything about the Muggle world herself, her outfit making her look more like a clown than a Muggle civilian. He felt a nudge against his side, looking over to see Avery smirking at him as Polliwog spoke, knowing exactly what was on his mind. He nervously smirked back, growing concerned he would end up paired with one of his own friends and they would find out where he really grew up. For so long he’d wanted to escape the judgment that came with living on Spinner’s End, from the Muggle’s living in Cokeworth and then to all the friends who’d accepted him into their circle at Hogwarts.
The day Lucius had introduced him to Avery, he’d decided he wouldn’t let Spinner’s End define him anymore, that he would forge his own identity and let the others make the assumption he’d grown up in the Wizarding world. He’d finally felt like he belonged when none of them questioned his origins, accepting him and everything he knew about the Wizarding world. When he heard about this trip, he tried to get out of it, begging Slughorn to excuse him, trying to give Dumbledore any excuse he could come up with, but when that failed, and Polliwog decided it was a fantastic idea to figure out who already had experience in the Muggle world, all he could do was hope Merlin would have pity on him and help him keep his secret.
“Now, once I call your name, you may find your partner and start exploring.” One by one your friends were paired up and ran off to explore the wonders of the Muggle world, and one by one the students drizzled down, leaving you concerned you’d end up stuck with Polliwog in the end, told there was no one to pair you with. The only thing that could possibly make this worse was spending the day with your professor and the more names spoken, the more Severus realized the second worst thing that could happen is if he got paired with the one person he’d been trying to talk to for the longest time.
“Severus and (Y/N).” Severus froze, his ears ringing as his heart raced, trying to run away from this horrible day. He’d been so busy worrying over what his friends might think of him, he hadn’t even considered the possibility of being paired with you. He couldn’t bring himself to look for you, feeling rather silly just standing there alone, thoughts of all the times he’d tried to talk to you rushing back to him. So many times he’d tried to plan out what he could say to you, how he could start a conversation, but he could never find the nerve to do it, scared he’d ruin his chance with you like he had with Lily.
“Severus?” You spoke his name, standing behind him and as he slowly turned around, trying to face you. His eyes were wide, blank and unblinking. He looked as though he’d just been struck by the most terrifying news and you felt all hope for a nice day in London slither away. He was clearly unhappy about being paired with you, his frown giving away the feelings he was trying to suppress, but it wasn’t like you’d chosen him. This wasn’t exactly the ideal weekend for you either, but you both had to try and make do with what you were given. “Shall we make our way?”
Severus blinked and found himself back in his body again, swallowing hard as he nodded. He walked after you as you jogged towards the wall separating platforms 9 and 10. Running after you, he found you on the other side, waiting for him and a small part of him began to panic as he realized how real this all was. He tried to think through his vocabulary, trying to find at least one single word to speak to you that wouldn’t sound absolutely pathetic. But he searched with no avail, thickening the awkward silence between you instead.
You walked out of the station unsure of what to say or how to proceed. It was bad enough you got stuck with someone who didn’t want to spend the day with you, but you were stranded in an unknown city with nothing but a tourist map Polliwog had passed out on the train. You had so many questions, yet you felt like you couldn’t ask any of them, Severus looking as though he would rather fall 100 feet than speak with you. You’d known Severus quite a while, at least from a far, so to say you were surprised that you’d been paired with him was an understatement. It had never crossed your mind that a Halfblood would have grown up in the Muggle world. You knew there had to be a story for him to share, you just weren’t sure he’d want to share it with you.
“H-have you explored London before?” you asked cautiously as you stood outside the train station, away from the crowd. Your eyes went straight to his frown, thinking back to the little interactions you’d had with him over the last seven years and you realized you’d only ever once seen him so unhappy. It was after rumours about James Potter saving Severus from the Whomping Willow had spread, chatter amongst the Gryffindors splattered across the halls about how Severus was crying outside their common room. He looked so defeated that morning when you saw him again, huddled into a ball by the fireplace. You watched him from the stairs and tried to will yourself to walk over to him, but you knew nothing you could say would sound right, especially since you were sure he had no clue who you were.
“No.”
“Then where in the Muggle world do you live?” You tried again, hoping to relax the tension between you and get to know him a little bit, but the annoyed expression on his face made it clear he didn’t want to talk.
“Lived,” he lied, his tone giving you the impression your correct assumption had offended him. Crossing his arms, Severus mumbled a truthful answer, hoping you wouldn’t press further. “Nowhere you’d know.”
A frown of your own appeared on your lips, fed up with his tone and attitude. You’d never thought Severus would be this rude, always seeing how kind he was to his friends. But it was clear that kindness was reserved for people he actually liked, and you weren’t one of them. Still, you had to try and get on his good side, otherwise the day would be completely lost and you’d never get to see the Muggle world.
“Alright. Well, any idea where we should start?” You opened up the map in your hand and looked over the odd looking shapes and words scribbled all over, finding it a bit difficult to read. Turning it upside down, you wondered if Muggles had their own secret way of reading maps, but clearly, you just hadn’t paid enough attention in your Muggle studies course, that or Polliwog had no idea what she was talking about all these years.
Looking back over to Severus, you watched him roll his eyes, pouting as he shook his head in disapproval. You couldn’t take it anymore. Even when he wasn’t talking, he still brought down your mood, making you wish you’d never gone on this trip, embarrassed that you were actually excited for it last night.
“Look Severus, I understand that you didn’t want to be paired with me, but there’s nothing we can do to change that. So why not try to make the most of it and have a bit of fun?” You did what you could to lighten the mood, hoping he’d agree and make both your lives just a little bit more bearable, but clearly your hopes were completely misplaced and you hadn’t caught on to the fact nothing would change his mind about you.
“Fun? What could you possibly hope to find fun in a Muggle city?” he said in disgust, looking down at the Muggles breezing past them on the street. He would never use the word ‘fun’ to describe the Muggle world, not the one he’d been born into. He couldn’t believe he was being forced to spend a day here when he’d spent every summer counting the days to escape Cokeworth. He especially couldn’t believe the fact that this would be your first impression of him, that of all the horrific scenarios he dreamt up, Merlin managed to come up with something worse.
He wanted so badly to start off your interaction with him in a positive light, to do with you what he couldn’t with Lily. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. He’d waited so long to come up with the best introduction, to have his first words spoken to you be those you’d hang onto for the rest of your life. But the irony in your words told him he was far from such a position, your view of him now tainted by the idea that he didn’t like you.
“I-I don’t know I just thought-” You tried to oppose his views, knowing you had no ground to stand on when the only interaction with the Muggle world you’d had was passing it by on your way to the Hogwarts Express. You just could never imagine it being as horrible as everyone said, not willing to accept the tone Severus took when speaking of London.
“Muggles don’t live like us and even if they had our… skillset, they couldn’t possibly dream of creating a world like ours.” Severus rambled on without considering how you felt about his words or his attitude. Instead, he let his defensive tone once again ruin the chance of any sort of relationship with someone he admired. Looking over to you, he watched your frown match his own, your arms crossed and brows furrowed with anger. You’d had enough of his attitude, no matter how he felt about the Muggle world, he had no right to talk this way when this trip was supposed to let you form your own opinion about Muggles.
“Are you going to be this sour the entire day?” you snapped at him, ready to walk away and never turn back.
“I’m not sour! I’m telling the truth.” The words flew out of his mouth before he could even think, the need to hide himself from everyone around him ingrained too deep in his chest to let it go, even for you. He’d spent the better part of last semester trying to approach you, admiring your passion during class, your beauty during lunch, your kindness in the halls, and now he was throwing away any chance he had to befriend you with a sour attitude and bleak words.
You huffed in frustration, storming away without regarding Severus in the slightest. You couldn’t take being around him anymore, your weekend completely ruined after the discussion you’d just had with him. You’d rather aimlessly walk around in this unknown city, having no clue where to go or where you were than listen to another word from him. You were so disappointed in this trip, in Severus and his attitude. You’d always wondered how a conversation with him would go, how nice it would be to talk to someone about the subjects you learned in class. Severus always seemed to be the only one passionate about them, but clearly his passion extended further than his school subjects, a pleasant conversation with him now a thing of dreams.
“W-where are you going?” Severus’ voice followed you, leaving behind his awful tone. You were surprised he continued to walk behind you, despite your furious pace to get away from him and a part of you was glad for it, still hopeful this weekend would turn around.
“I don’t know, but I’m not going to stand there and listen to your rambles. The point of this trip is to explore the unknown and you're just spewing on like Muggles still live in the dark ages!” you said as he caught up with you. Severus wasn’t sure what to say, feeling horrible knowing he was the reason you were so upset.
“But here, look.” You stopped in your tracks, picking up an odd looking stick, intrigued by its bright red colour. “If Muggles are so unimaginative as you say, how can they come up with this? … Whatever it is.”
You examined the object, spotting a small dab of dried ink on the end and wondered if this was some sort of writing utensil. You couldn’t imagine how Muggles would use it, the dab of ink too small to write a single letter, let alone entire essays.
“It’s a pen.” Severus frowned, crossing his arms, unimpressed with Polliwog’s failure of illustrating something as simple as a pen. It wasn’t like the bloody things were expensive or rare, she could have easily bought a couple to show the class, but no, it was all about the textbooks and whatever words they possessed. Theory was all that mattered, Merlin forbit a professor at Hogwarts actually teach the students to apply their knowledge. At least McGonagall and Flitwick had the sense to demonstrate the spells they were teaching.
“Right, a pen,” you said, rather pleased your guess was right. Pressing the pen to his chest, you let it go and turned back to walk away, feeling like your mini triumph was ruined by his hatred towards Muggles. Severus caught the pen before it fell, looking at it in his hand and immediately tossing it to the ground, disregarding it without a second thought. He could never learn to appreciate Muggles or their trinkets like you did. He knew they were bright, that they had progressed in some ways further than the Wizarding world, but he just couldn’t get past the awful parts of their realm. He admired your open mind, he truly did, but you hadn’t lived like him, you hadn’t experienced the worst of what Muggles can do.
“Leave me alone, Severus, I’ll roam the city on my own,” you said when you realized he’d continued to follow behind. Severus felt his heart sliced up into pieces by your harsh words. But he knew he deserved it, that he’d caused your mood to shift to such an angry tone. He slowed his speed and watched you walk away as he stood there on the sidewalk like the fool he was. He’d completely ruined any chance of a friendship with you like he had with Lily and it was clear to him now that it was him who’d pushed others away all his life. When Lily stopped talking to him, he’d blamed Potter like he blamed his father when his mother left them last year. But it was him all along. He was the only common denominator between you, Lily and his mother, so it only made sense that he was the problem.
He’d lost sight of you, your figure disappeared into the crowd of Muggles passing him by, and he wasn’t sure what to do with himself. He didn’t want to explore London like everyone else, he wanted to go home. Stuffing his hands in his pocket, he began making his way back to the train station, clutching his ticket in his hand. Perhaps the train was still there and he’d be allowed to pass the time in one of the compartments. At least in the train, he’d be as close to Hogwarts as he could, and he wouldn’t have to suffer through another day amongst people who could care less about him.
He walked as fast as he could, running through the barrier between platforms 9 and 10, finally finding himself relax when he found the Hogwarts Express still sitting there, waiting for him to return. Without thinking, he ran to the door and tugged on the handle, finding it locked. Pulling out his wand, he cast a silent alohomora unsurprised to find the door still locked. He tried a few more charms, unhopeful they would work until he gave up and walked back to one of the pillars in the middle of the platform, sinking down to the ground, facing his only ride back home.
He hugged his knees and thought back to the horrendous day he’d had, starting it off horrified his friends would find out the truth about him, afraid he’d be paired with you, then finding himself living in a complete nightmare as he watched you storm off from his less than delightful attitude. He’d spent the better half of the day building up his defenses, too scared to let the world see him and who he was that he’d pushed yet another person away. A year he’d spent pining for you, trying to build up the courage to at least say hello, but his fear of repeating history had him putting it off until the universe decided enough was enough. He wasn’t ready. If only he had some time to prepare, if he’d spoken to you at Hogwarts with the conversation planned out… it would have still ended in a disaster because he was destined to live in agony and resentment.
He groaned in frustration, tears prickling his eyes as his mind dreamt up scenarios where he’d made a good impression on you, the friendship he could have built, the fun you could have had together. He could have finally talked to someone who appreciated Potions, Herbology, Defense, Charms and every other subject in school. You could have studied together, excelled together and helped each other build such promising careers. But of course, none of that would come to pass after what he’d just done. Hope told him to grab hold of the possibility you’d forgive him, that if he just found the right words, the right thing to say, you’d give him a second chance, but he knew fate would never allow for such a thing. He couldn’t break the cycle no matter how hard he tried, no matter how much he wanted it, he felt completely helpless.
He tried to clear his mind, quickly wiping away his tears to hide his disappointment, but he couldn’t help but think of you and how you were wandering around London on your own while the rest of the class all had company. He thought of you trying to ask Muggles for help, completely lost in this giant city. He thought about how you’d struggle to make your way back here, missing the deadline Polliwog set and forced to spend the night in some unknown Muggle street. It tore at him thinking of some Muggle finding you alone, taking advantage of your helplessness like he knew they would back in Cokeworth.
Jumping to his feet, he found himself running back out the train station and leaving behind the only sliver of his home he’d get until the trip ended. He needed to find you, to try and make it up to you or to at least make sure you were alright. He couldn’t let the Muggle world tarnish you like it had him and perhaps, by Merlin’s grace, you’d find it in your heart to forgive him for such a horrible first impression.
He looked down the steps outside the train station and began to retrace your movements, stopping when he spotted the pen he’d so carelessly brushed off after you’d admired it. Picking it up, he noticed how damaged it was, how beat up the casing had become after being tossed aside like trash. Pressing the tip to his finger, he dragged the pen across his skin and watched as it left behind a strong trail of red ink. It still worked after everything it had been through. Stuffing the pen in his pocket, he made his way down the street, looking everywhere for a sign, anything at all that could tell him where you were. It felt like a helpless case trying to find you in this city, but he had to try, he couldn’t give up now.
You’d really tried to brush off Severus’ words, but they stuck with you as you walked onwards, ringing in your ear with every step you took. You entered shops, hoping to find something that could help keep your mind off of him and your disappointment in this weekend, but nothing could lift your spirits after what he’d done. He’d hurt you more than you’d cared to admit, not just because of the way he spoke about the Muggle world, but his hateful tone shunned you away from any relationship you’d previously hoped to have with him. He wasn’t the boy you imagined, and it crushed you to know that.
Still, you marched forward and tried your best to do what you’d set out to do and make the most of this opportunity. You entered clothing shops and wondered how Muggles could possibly find some of these items comfortable or appealing to the eye. You passed by a toy store and was rather unimpressed at their odd boring selection. You rifled through a bookstore and bought a few items to give Muggle authors a try, starting to feel better about what had happened today. You walked the streets until you finally found a diner where you felt normal. Glaring at the menu, you smiled as you finally found something in common with the Muggles. You took your time, decided you’d spend the day here, eating and reading one of your new books and that would have to be enough for you to salvage the day.
The waitress brought you your food and you took a moment to admire the delicacy of the presentation. It looked very well made, like they were prepared by a dozen house elves. The burger wasn’t as large as those you’d seen at Hogwarts, but the fries were definitely much more crispy and the milkshake was absolutely astounding. You happily drank, wondering what Muggles would think of Butterbeer if they ever got the chance to taste it as you pulled out one of your books, flipping it over to read about the author. The picture was still, and for a moment you thought perhaps you’d seen her blink, but it was clear Muggles were unable to capture moving pictures like Wizards could. It was an interesting sight, but you weren’t sure you liked it. The constant stare of the woman creeped you out. Shaking your head, you turned the book back around and flipped it open, reading the first few words of the first Muggle book you would ever enjoy.
Severus felt hopeless walking down the streets of London, beginning to get lost himself as he tried every street, every store he passed by until his feet ached with pain. He’d lost track of time, but it had felt like he’d been walking for days, his heart slowing as he tried to catch his breath. He’d been in such a panic for so long, he wasn’t sure if he’d be able to stay standing for very much longer if he didn’t rest. But he couldn’t bring himself to stop, his guilt growing the more time ticked away. He’d wanted to try and make it up to you, but the more time he wasted looking for you, the less time he’d have to try and salvage your happiness.
He was almost about to give up, when he saw a waitress in the diner across the street setting down a plate of fries on a table where someone very familiar sat, reading a book. He stopped in his tracks, looking through the window, wondering if he was hallucinating, if his mind was playing tricks on him just to get him to stop looking for you. He crossed the street and the closer he got, the more he wondered if fate was trying to make things up to him after putting him between a rock and a hard place these last few days.
He walked into the diner and looked over to the side, admiring you as you read. You looked like you’d made up for his outburst all on your own. His shoulders dropped as he realized all he would do now if he walked up to you was remind you of how he’d ruined your day. He sighed and turned back to look at the door, knowing he should leave, but the need for repentance kept him from stepping out that door. He wanted a second chance, another go at a first impression with you. He wanted to have a real conversation with you, to make you smile and enjoy his time like you were doing right now.
“Severus?” He stopped his motions when he heard his name, turning his head back to you as he let the door swing shut. You’d seen him and if he ran out now, he’d have no chance of redeeming himself in the future. Walking over to you, he stood beside your table, unsure of what to say. “What are you doing here?”
He stood there hoping Merlin would help him find the right thing to say to you so what happened this morning wouldn’t happen again. Stuffing his hands in his pocket, he froze and suddenly found himself feeling calm, his mind clear. Slowly, he pulled out his right hand and gently placed on the table before you the red pen you’d picked up off the street.
“I-I’m sorry.” The words left his lips without a thought, knowing it’s what you needed to hear. “I shouldn’t have said those things, acted like that and I’m really sorry.”
You looked at him in astonishment, your eyes unable to leave the beat-up pen on the table. You were completely floored at the idea he’d found you just to apologize, that he’d kept the pen you were so infatuated with and you were touched. You smiled at his gesture, feeling your faith in him restore as he stood there in desperation, his eyes begging for your forgiveness. Picking up the pen, you held it between your fingertips for a moment, examining it like it was the most fascinating thing you’d seen all day.
“Do you want to sit?” you offered. Severus couldn’t believe your willingness to hear him out, but he didn’t hesitate to take the second chance you gave him, learning from Lily to never again take forgiveness for granted. He sat across from you and watched your every movement, worried that if he took his eyes off you now, he’d realize it wasn’t real.
“Do you want some fries?” You pushed the plate to him, noticing how shriveled he looked and realized he probably hadn’t eaten all day if he’d spent it looking for you. Severus peered down at the fries, trying to resist, feeling like he hadn’t earned the right to eat the food you’d paid for, but your smile was so inviting, and he’d used up his energy trying to find you. Picking out a fry, he slowly chewed on it and watched as you slid over your half-drunk milkshake with a smile. You were so kind, so generous; a Slytherin with a heart as many would joke at Hogwarts.
“Why do you hate the Muggle world so much?” you asked softly, hoping this discussion wouldn’t lead to another explosion of hatred, but you just couldn’t let it go and if there was any hope for you to build any sort of friendship with him, you had to get to know him more. You needed an explanation for what he’d done before you could move past it.
Severus shrugged in response, his wall building itself back up again as he tried to fight the urge to hide himself again. After he’d opened up to Lily about his life on Spinner’s End, he promised himself he would never do it again, not after she picked Potter’s side over his. He didn’t want to talk about the past, he just wanted to move forward and build himself a new future, one that wasn’t controlled by his parents or Potter or anyone else. “I suppose that I was quick to judge.”
“Well, they don’t seem so bad to me,” you retorted, finding yourself having enjoyed the day despite everything that had happened, though you were sure the mends Severus was making now was the only reason you felt as happy as you did. You were moved by his sentiment, never once feeling as special as he made you feel before today. “Have-have you been searching for me all day?”
Severus leaned back in his seat, cherishing the smile on your face, your curiosity and worry over him. He felt the heat rise to his face as he realized how embarrassing what he’d done was. It was bad enough he’d admired you from afar this past year, but to admit he’d ran down the streets of London searching for you was something he could never live down.
“No,” he shook his head and stared down at the nearly empty plate of fries, surprised he’d eaten so much when he’d given you his full attention. Your smile grew wider as you kept your eyes on him, knowing he was lying through his teeth. “I just-I didn’t want to leave you roaming around London alone.”
Your smile grew wider and he couldn’t help but return it. You leaned forward, setting your arms on the table as you narrowed your eyes. You wanted so badly to trust him, to have with him what you thought you’d never find with anyone else, but you were scared. You didn’t know him, not really. You’d seen him in class, seen his achievements, watched him pick his friends and fight with the Gryffindors, but you didn’t know the real him. The only thing you’d learned from today was his resentment towards Muggles and that wasn’t exactly something that gave you confidence in him.
“Well, we have a few more hours before we have to go back. Got anywhere in mind?” you asked, wanting to give this friendship a chance, wanting so badly to see him for who he truly was. You’d felt like you’d seen so many versions of him, you weren’t sure which one was real anymore.
“Have you seen the cinema yet?” He leaned in, eager for how well things were turning out, how forgiving you seemed to be.
“What’s a cinema?”
Severus chuckled, almost forgetting your lack of knowledge on the Muggle world. More than ever, he wanted to build at least a friendship with you, to be around you more and see through your eyes. Perhaps if he was given that chance, his outlook on the Muggle world wouldn’t cause him to explode like he did this morning. “They play movies there, like moving pictures that tell a story.”
Your eyes lit up, your back straightened as you smiled with fascination. You felt all your anger towards him completely melt away as you took him up on his offer to at least end the day on a happy note. “That sounds amazing! But I thought Muggles weren’t allowed to handle magical objects.”
“It’s not magic. It’s technology.” He grinned at your obliviousness of the Muggle world, looking forward to seeing it in a new light through your eyes. Finishing off the fries, you put away your book and red pen, then grabbed your milkshake to follow Severus down the street. The sun was already setting and for a moment, you felt a bit resentful towards him, realizing how lovely of an evening you could have had with him if he’d only acted proper this morning. But as much as you wished you could rewrite time, as much as you wanted to redo the day, you couldn’t and that was okay. He’d come back for you, he’d wanted to try again and perhaps it was because he felt guilty, but oh how you hoped it was because he saw the potential for such a strong relationship between you both.
There was so much you wanted to explore with him, but you knew nothing would come of this small spark of a friendship if Severus didn’t want it, if he didn’t tear down those walls. He’d always been such a mystery to you, but you realized now just how complex he was, how he was more than that lanky boy at the end of the library, studying until the lights went out. He was more than the Slytherin that had fought with Gryffindor’s Quidditch star, more than what everyone made him out to be and you could only hope he’d open himself up enough to let you see him for who he truly was.
The more you walked alongside him, talking to him about the Muggle world, already learning so much from him, the more you felt like you were getting to see a side of him he rarely showed anyone. You wondered if he was comfortable around you, if he was open to building at least a friendship with you, but you were too afraid to read into it or ask him how he felt. You’d started off the day so rocky, you didn’t want to risk ruining what you had now. You wanted to enjoy the moment and at least you would have this evening to look back on when you went back to Hogwarts.
The cinema wasn’t far from where you were, and you almost wished it was, enjoying the walk there with him more than the idea of seeing this ‘movie’ Severus spoke of. But, as you approached the doors, your curiosity for the Muggle world overtook you, your eyes trying to take in as much of the humongous building as they could. After your walk today, you’d assumed all Muggle buildings were small, nothing even coming close to the size of some of the shops you’ve been to in the Wizarding world, let alone Hogwarts. But this building looked endless, Severus claiming every room was twice as large as a classroom.
“What do you want to watch?” he asked as you both looked up at the billboard displaying the movies and their showtimes. You shrugged at his question, completely lost as to what you were looking at. You weren’t sure it would even matter what you ended up watching, just the experience alone was enough to keep you satisfied and the fact that it was Severus who was introducing you to this new world made it all the more special.
“Well, what was that book you were reading about?” he asked instead, hoping to pick a movie to your liking and get to know you a bit better. He wanted so badly to progress whatever it was between you both, to fast forward to the part where he knew everything about you and he’d trusted you to know everything about him. But he knew great relationships weren’t created with one measly conversation and trust had to be earned, so he settled for the opportunity to get to know you one bit at a time instead.
“It’s about this girl and her friends who plan on exploring rumours about buried treasure. It’s called ‘The Secret of the Forgotten City’’,” you said, unsure on how you felt about the book just yet since you’d only read a couple of chapters. But the bookshop owner had said it was a popular story amongst the Muggles, and it had yet to disappoint you so far.
“A mystery. Then perhaps we can watch that one?” Severus points at the title ‘Return from Witch Mountain’ with a smirk and you couldn’t help but burst into laughter, finding the name ironic considering your destination to Hogwarts tomorrow. Nodding, you agreed to watch whatever these moving pictures entailed.
Severus walked up to a booth where a man sat entrapped in some glass, which you thought was rather odd. But when Severus asked the man for two tickets to see the next showing of ‘Return from Witch Mountain’, you realized he was no prisoner, but a worker who’d chosen to remain incased, selling people tickets to see the moving pictures. The man gave you the price to be paid for the tickets and you both began to rummage through your pockets, Severus picking out as many coins as he could before he realized he was short. He patted himself down in a panic, feeling completely saddened at the fact that money had once again become a barrier between him and the thing he wanted most; a friendship with you. He could hardly believe his luck, utterly crushed at the thought of disappointing you a second time. He couldn’t face the idea of ruining your plans again, a look of anger on his face as he triple checked every pocket. He’d ruined his second chance, knowing there was no chance for a third.
Setting your money on the counter, you looked over to Severus, watching him struggle to come up with the full amount and immediately grabbed a few more coins of your own to make up the difference. Severus looked up when he heard your coins hit the countertop and watched as they were exchanged for two tickets. He was in shock at what you’d done. The tickets weren’t exactly cheap and it was him who’d suggested watching a movie in the first place. You had no idea what you’d paid for, yet you were happy to fork over your coins to have him by your side while you watched the movie.
“W-why did you do that?” he asked as you made your way inside the theater to find your seats. He wanted to be mad, his own ego objecting to the humiliation of a stranger paying for what he couldn’t. But he felt grateful, not for the money, but for your kindness and willingness to give up something so valuable just for a few hours of fun with him.
“Because I want to watch the movie with you Severus.” He smiled, feeling overjoyed at your words, your confirmation of interest in him, but how could you not after you’d admired him for so long? You’d wanted nothing more than to spend time with him and money wasn’t going to stand in the way of that.
“I’ll pay you back,” he promised, not wanting any reason for resentment between either of you, especially now during such a fragile state in your relationship.
“You don’t have to. Consider it a thank you for bringing me here.” You playfully nudged his arm with a smile. Severus felt the heat rise to his cheeks as he tried to suppress his ever-growing smirk. He was beyond relieved that he’d managed to redeem himself, that you’d accepted his apology and attempted to make things up to you after this morning.
You saw all the Muggles heading into the theater carrying snacks and noticed the absurd prices at the counter where they were selling popcorn, drinks and candy. You didn’t think twice about passing up on those knowing full well Severus would only feel worse if you spent more money on him and besides, you’d had quite the meal not thirty minutes ago, your stomach full and your heart happy with the company you kept. Severus led the way to the middle of the second to back row claiming they were always the best seats and you didn’t argue. You had no idea what to expect, but you were excited nonetheless.
“So, what now?” you asked eagerly as you sat in the dark room waiting for something to happen.
“Now we wait,” Severus told you, leaning on the arm rest between you. “The movie is set to start in fifteen minutes so they should start playing commercials soon.”
“Not even Muggles can escape the power of advertisement,” you chuckled knowing everyone around you would likely be completely bored by them, but you were looking forward to it. You wanted to know as much of the Muggle world as possible and what better way to do that then sit through some advertisements about Muggle objects or odd looking inventions.
As Severus had promised, a flash of light appeared before your eyes, colours spilling all over the screen as the first commercial began to play. Sound filled the theater and you could barely hear yourself think, wondering how anyone was able to speak over all this noise. The pictures moved before you, an image of a bed displayed with a woman slipping under it’s covers, some unknown voice speaking of the amazing mattress she was sleeping on. The commercial was dull and uninspired, but you loved every moment of it. The next commercial began playing and you found yourself completely lost at the object being sold.
“WHAT’S A TV?” You turned to Severus and asked him. Immediately everyone in front of you turned and looked at you funny, some shushing you, others looking like you’d gone mad. You looked back at them wide eyed, unsure of what you did wrong. You turned to Severus to see him trying to suppress a smile, chuckling under his breath as he looked at you.
“You aren’t supposed to speak in the theaters,” he whispered in your ear. He leaned back in his chair and saw a look of disappointment and embarrassment wash over your face. He suddenly felt very guilty for not informing you sooner of the general rules of the theater and leaned back to whisper the answer to your question, hoping if he tried to have a light conversation, you would cheer up. “A TV is like a portable theater. You can use it to watch movies at home.”
You smiled when Severus answered your question, feeling better about shouting in a place where talking was forbidden. But for the second time today, Severus was there to make it up to you, to make you smile when you felt so down. Placing your hand on his, you silently thanked him, not daring to try and whisper your gratitude to him. Severus felt his heart skip a beat when he felt the gentle graze of your fingers slipping over his hand. He looked down at the armrest between you and saw your hand over his and slowly, he turned his over to hold yours, returning your smile as the commercials continued to blaze the room.
Neither of you wanted to move away when the movie finally started, half your focus on his thumb mindlessly caressing your knuckles, stopping when you squeezed his hand in approval. Severus wasn’t sure what to make of your small gesture having convinced himself you’d hate him after what happened this morning, that you’d never want to speak with him again after tonight. Your hand in his kept him hopeful that you’d want to explore whatever it was between you, that you’d at least be willing to keep him as a friend during your last year at Hogwarts.
He cautiously turned his head towards you, trying to catch a glance of your face as you watched the movie. Your eyes were so full of wonder and he could only imagine how happy you both could have been if you’d spent the entire day exploring the city like you were meant to do. He would never forgive himself for passing up such an opportunity, promising himself he’d spend as long as he could trying to make up for that time you lost. But for now, he was happy to watch your eyes sparkle and your soft smile.
You easily lost track of time, your thoughts wandering from the movie to the boy sitting next to you. Any other day you would be infatuated with questions about how Muggles had managed to make moving pictures, how they could capture and tell a story in such an amazing way. But all you could think about was Severus and everything he’d done to mend your first impression of him, of how hard he tried to lift your mood and how amazing it would be to have such a person by your side during your last year at Hogwarts. You fantasized study sessions with him late in the Slytherin common room, cuddling up to him as you both crammed for your N.E.W.T exams. You dreamt of a future where you kept in touch with Severus after graduation and saw all the mesmerizing achievements you knew he would accomplish.
Peeling your eyes away from the screen, you glanced over at Severus to catch a glimpse of his eyes before he quickly turned away from you, his hair falling before his face and his hand retreating to his lap. He looked like you’d just caught him stealing from the Potion’s cupboard, ashamed of what he’d done and you felt your heart sink at the empty feeling in your hand. Abandoning all care for the movie, you kept your eyes on Severus, your hand slowly moving to find his again. You gently placed your hand in his, hoping he wouldn’t pull away, hoping if you tried to be forward with your emotions, he might return them.
Severus held your hand and looked up to find you looking so softly at him, a gentle smile tugging at the corner of your parted lips. He locked his eyes with yours and lost himself in your admiration for him. You opened your mouth like you had something important to tell him until you remembered what happened the last time you spoke in this theater. Your eyes fell from his a moment as you rethought your approach, needing to tell him how you felt. Severus tried to read your expression, wanting to know what was going through your mind. He hoped you weren’t having second thoughts, that you didn’t regret taking him up on his offer.
He waited anxiously to see you pull back and walk away from him. But instead, you slowly leaned forward, your eyes flickering between his eyes and his lips. His heart raced at the idea of a kiss from you, his body leaping at the chance as he leaned forward. You smiled when he mirrored your movements, giving you enough courage to close the distance between you and press your lips against his. Severus eagerly kissed you back, bewildered by the emotions you conveyed. You were pouring out your heart to him, showing him how you felt, how infatuated you were with him, how much you admired him, needing him in your life. You wanted to be close with him, to earn his trust and him yours. It felt so right, and you were overjoyed to see Severus return your feelings.
You finally parted and suddenly became very thankful Severus had picked the second last row with no one sitting behind you. If you were judged for speaking in the theater, you could only imagine how people would react if they caught you both so passionately declaring your love for each other through that kiss. Your grin stretched from one ear to the other as you opened your eyes, never wanting to lean too far back from him. You looked at him with such glee, his own smile growing larger than you’d ever seen. His happiness seemed so pure, so real, and you felt your heart flutter at the thought that one kiss from you had him floating on clouds. You watched his eyes flicker down to your lips again and you could hardly contain your giggle as his free hand reached to cup your jaw, his thumb caressing your cheek as he leaned in for a few more soft playful kisses.
His lips were thin, but his adoration for you was ever present as they met yours over and over again. He lightly tugged on your bottom lip with his teeth and just when you thought you’d find yourself kicked out of the theater for all the affection flowing between you, Severus stopped and leaned back, admiring your eyes as his hand slipped down from your face to his lap. You happily interlocked your fingers with his and looked back to the movie, leaning as far towards Severus as the seat would allow. You felt his arm press against yours as he mimicked your movements, hardly able to take his eyes off you.
He did his best to pay attention, or at least to appear as though he was watching the film, but his thoughts were all fixed on you. He wanted so badly to hear you explain what had just happened, to ask why you’d done such a thing when you barely knew him, when you knew he wasn’t perfect. But that was the precise reason why you admired him so much. His imperfections had never been something he’d tried to hide, whether it be his large hooked nose, his greasy hair, his lanky body, his need to lean on others or gullibility. He never tried to keep the world from seeing his flaws like many others would. He instead displayed strength trying to improve himself, showing you the same ambition he carried during class when he came to find you at that diner tonight. He was perfectly imperfect and you couldn’t wait to get to know him better. You couldn’t wait to build a relationship in this new world you’d created with him.

Well it seems once again that people are debating if BNHA as a franchise is entering it’s final strech. Now I understand why people would debate this; because in a lot of ways it really feels like the series is ending soon, but in a lot of other ways it really feels like it isn’t. That’s all been true for a while actually. So I wanna reiterate my stance on things: which is that while I acknowledge points from both arguments, I am firmly in the camp believing the series isn’t ending-ending, and we’re just entering into a new chapter of the series; possibly with a name change now that Deku’s left his Academia.
(Not gonna lie though, that’s mostly because it’s the side I want to take. There really is compelling evidence on both sides.)
Tumblr media
I’ve gone over this before from a more neutral perspective (found here); I think I still ended up showing my bias in my work, but I tried my best to show all the points from both sides. But this time I’m deliberately picking a side and going over 2 points for why I don’t think the series is ending soon; 1 relating to All Might, and 1 relating to All for One.
Plotlines. So many plotlines.
One big reason I think the series is gonna be a while still, which I have mentioned before in that post I linked, is that BNHA has a lot of plot lines that it’ll freely let sit for 100+ chapters without addressing. Really gives the impression that big H is writing like he has all the time in the world.
Like, people like to say Uraraka hasn’t been developed in a long time and attribute that to Horikoshi not being able to write women, but the honest truth is that she is not alone in that. Shinsou’s plotline got put on hold for roughly a dozen arcs until Joint Training, it took a while to touch on Kurogiri after he got captured, Tokoyami tends to come and go from importance, and how long did it take us to learn Dabi’s name after he said he was using an alias? And frankly, I could keep going and touch on literally every character who hasn’t had an origin chapter (except of course for the characters who haven’t had any plotlines at all yet). Oh, also Deku’s arms; that was a plotline too.
Ah, but the biggest offender has to be All Might; BNHA’s most main adult character, and that’s including Endeavor. We learned over half the series’ lifespan ago that he was predicted to die at the hands of a villain (probably Shigaraki or AFO); and that incident set up this tension about whether he’ll die as predicted or if he’ll defy his fate. And ever since, his personal plot line has been on pause; as his life has not been in danger once since. Everyone who once had reason to target him is now targeting either Endeavor, the system itself, or both.
It’s true that All Might has had a presence in a supportive role in various other character’s plotlines, and I’m not saying that’s not fitting for his character, but his own plot has been sidelined; and will likely continue to be sidelined until he has reason to reenter the societal stoplight for whatever reason. And considering It seems like the most likely thing to do that is either Endeavor dying (if just metaphorically, don’t panic too much) or society getting even worse than it already is (which would be a feat), that feels a bit far off.
And then there’s actually concluding that plotline, which I imagine will involve at least one fake out. And all the other plotlines, for which there are many. And that’s assuming we don’t get any more plots started up; which feels unlikely when Horikoshi keeps introducing new characters & reintroducing old ones. Mostly villains, the type of characters that drive plots (but there are those international heroes to consider too). And are you starting to see what I mean when I say Horikoshi writes like he has all the time in the world?
Who’s the big bad again?
One big reason I think people believe the end is just beyond the horizon is that AFO is taking center stage as the big bad again. And AFO is a pretty simple villain to deal with, actually; he’s just one guy and, unlike the League, all you have to do to deal with him fully is beat on him until he stops moving. He’s strong, yes, but he’s not even as strong as Shigaraki was in Jaku (even possessed Shigaraki lacks that Shimura spirit that landed AFO in Tartarus in the first place); reserve a handful of chapters for the fight and it’s over.
But the problem is...what would beating him actually accomplish? In the long term I mean; he is a very dangerous man with the moral compass renunciant of an aristocrats joke and a habit of making himself everyone’s problem & encouraging Tomura’s bad habits. But y’know, as far as we know he doesn’t exactly have anything to do with the quirk prejudice motivating Spinner & Toga, or the corrupt hero system motivating Dabi & Shigaraki’s long term goals.
Besides encouraging Tomura’s bad coping mechanisms, All For One just doesn’t have much to do with the villains’ main motivations so he doesn’t actually mean much to them. And to the heroes, he is just another villain; albeit a dangerous one. To both sides, he’s just a hurdle to overcome with an especially punchable shit eating grin, & beating him doesn’t accomplish anything besides getting him off everyone’s back. He has little, if anything, to do with the major themes of the series or conflicts between the main characters; and resolving those conflicts is a much more daunting task.
And that makes sense, because he’s not the real main villain of the series. He’s an important figure of evil, just like All Might is an important figure of good; but the main villain of this series has always been Shigaraki Tomura, and the true source of everyone’s problems has always been the ingrained faults of society that need to be addressed. Any resolution to this series would replate to those elements far more than it would old potato head.
In short, the easy resolution people seem to be looking to doesn’t seem like it would really resolve as much as they really need it too. (Maybe some stuff, depending on how that fight goes down, but not enough.) In fact, I could almost say him being around causing problems of purpose could actually lengthen the series; were it not for the fact that I think we knew all along that he was eventually gonna come back into the picture to cause problems on purpose.
So to summarize:
BNHA has just a stupid amount of stuff going on and a lot is has to do, with more still seeming to be added on to that to-do list. Most notably major characters whose personal storylines don’t really tie into the core conflicts of the series, but nonetheless demand the attention and time of all the other characters and the narrative itself. And all of that just really makes me think there’s a pretty considerable amount of this series left.

1990s Hip Hop Playlist
Welp, the 50th anniversary of hip hop completely passed me by over the summer, and I didn't end up saying a single thing about it here, even though hip hop really was my first true music love. So, to make up for it, I've got a bunch of hip hop playlists on the way, starting with this massive update to my 90s one, which adds twenty new songs. The original iterations of this thing were backloaded with late 90s stuff, but now, with this update, I've managed to frontload it with a bunch of early and mid-90s stuff too. So, let's dig in!
Every single song in this update can be found on a quadruple-disc compilation called The Best Rap Album of All Time, which was put out in 1999 by budget UK label Dressed to Kill. It's a superb collection that spans from the late 70s through mid-90s, and comes with some unmistakable classics, but its 90s fare consists of a bunch of underheard and forgotten gems. And those gems seem to be derived from a couple different sources: one, a super overlooked scene that Americans don't know anything about called Britcore that emerged during the late 80s in the UK underground, and saw people (mostly guys) spitting raw, hardcore raps over seriously banging breakbeats; and two, the catalogue of the great, New York-based Profile Records, who put out some fantastic rap tunes during their tenure.
So, first the Britcore. I added a bunch, but Da Hoodzmen's back-to-back tracks, "The Rhyme Ripper" and "Runnin' Rampant," are probably my favorites here. This totally obscure group is actually originally from Orlando, Florida, but their lone release was a 1993 12-inch that was only put out in the UK, on one of the country's top hip hop labels, Music of Life, and it really suited that whole boom-bappin', old school Britcore sound to a T. "Rhyme Ripper" has almost 12,000 Spotify plays and "Runnin' Rampant" has about 3,200. And obviously, they deserve a whole lot more, because even though they're not actual posse cuts like A Tribe Called Quest's "Scenario," they still definitely have that same level of gravitas and energy 😤.
And now, Profile. This label put out a lot of cool and gritty street rap from New York and New Jersey over the years, but they also had deals with people on the west coast, down south, and in the UK too.
So, the most popular add among all of these is "Word Iz Life," a mid-90s rap classic by New Jersey trio Poor Righteous Teachers that feels like it was made to be blasted out of a car's stereo on a hot summer's day. This one currently has about 8.7 million plays on Spotify and is fronted by a serially underrated emcee named Wise Intelligent, who is one of those five-percenter conspiracy rappers with pretty wacky views, but the guy can definitely rap circles around just about anyone, as he clearly shows on this very track here.
Then there's two vets from New York who both happen to possess really deep and distinctly gravelly voices: Nine, from The Bronx, and Smoothe Da Hustler, from Brownsville, Brooklyn. Nine's biggest hit was "Whutcha Want," which hit #3 on the Billboard rap chart and #50 on the Hot 100, but his follow-up single, "Any Emcee," was terrific too, which only peaked at #35 on the rap chart. That song, which pairs his rough vocal with a smooth sample of The Spinners' "I'll Be Around," has about 166,000 plays. And then Smoothe Da Hustler's fantastic piece of 1996 gangsta rap, "Hustler's Theme," which was deeply inspired by Curtis Mayfield's own "Freddie's Dead," only has about 25,000 plays, which is, just, way too low.
And another pretty popular track in this update comes courtesy of LA's legendary DJ Quik, whose slice of g-funk in "Summer Breeze" has about 2.2 million plays on Spotify, and should be everyone's golden age rap summer go-to instead of DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince's "Summertime." Both aim for that same exact feelgood, laid-back, nostalgic party vibe, but "Summer Breeze" is just a better song in every way.
Speaking of g-funk, you can't sleep on Dallas' Ganksta C either, who delivers one of the coolest pieces of hazy, whining synth gangsta rap you'll ever hear in your life, with "Just Another Day," which has about 44,000 plays.
And keeping it south, comes one of Profile's most slept-on signings of all time: M.T., who hails from New Orleans. This guy sounds a bit like Method Man, but he's also able to do that silly thing where you slightly open your mouth, vigorously shake your head, and then produce a noise. And he does it while he raps, which is wild! Comparable in quirkiness to someone like Ol' Dirty Bastard or early Busta Rhymes, M.T.'s excellent "Set It Off" has under 1,000 plays!
And then across the pond in the UK, Profile had Daddy Freddy, who originally hails from Jamaica. He's someone who's unmatched when it comes to that furious ragga style, and he shows why on "Go Freddy Go" and "Haul & Pull," which have about 16,000 and 33,000 plays, respectively.
Standing Ovation - "Onslaught" Daddy Freddy - "Go Freddy Go" Monte Luv & DJ Rob - "Silk Smooth" Militant Posture - "Down of Terror" Brothers on Organised Missions - "B.O.O.M." Brothers on Organised Missions - "Delivering the Answer" 2nd II None - "Ain't Nothin' Wrong" Kobalt 60 - "Kaos From Order" Daddy Freddy - "Haul & Pull" Killa Instinct - "Un-United Kingdom" Da Hoodzmen - "The Rhyme Ripper" Da Hoodzmen - "Runnin' Rampant" Potna Deuce - "Can U Dig It" Ganksta C - "Just Another Day" DJ Quik - "Summer Breeze" Nine - "Any Emcee" M.T. - "Set It Off" Smoothe Da Hustler - "Hustler's Theme" Poor Righteous Teachers - "Word Iz Life" Big Al Zoota - "Zoota Bang"
I also added a couple songs that can't be found on Spotify to the YouTube version of this playlist too. And both tunes happen to be by guys who sport British accents, but only one of them is actually from England itself, while the other, Dana Dane, hails from Brooklyn. Dana faked his British accent in order to stand out from his peers, and it proved to be a successful move, because a bunch of his singles actually managed to chart, including his late 80s classic, "Cinderfella Dana Dane" 😂. But his 1990 song, "Something Special," which currently has about 70 plays, is pretty great too. And then the actual British act, a London duo called 499, supply "Don't Categorise Me," a sweet piece of chill jazz-rap that sounds like it could've been produced by someone like Pete Rock, and currently has about 11,500 plays across its handful of YouTube uploads.
Dana Dane - "Something Special" 499 - "Don't Categorise Me"
And this playlist is also on YouTube Music.
So, with this large update, the Spotify version of this playlist now has 31 songs that end up totaling 2 hours and 9 minutes, and the YouTube version has 52 songs that total 3 hours and 35 minutes. So, if you want a lot more 90s hip hop gems, be sure to check out the YouTube one.
Enjoy!
More to come, eventually. Stay tuned!

hello everyone, for no reason other than that i want to and that its midnight, here’s a list of things from Earth Granner that sent me to the floor laughing upon seeing them
Mach Go using his own name as a catchphrase (”that’s mach-cool!”)
“do you ever chill” - Kuga, 2020
the fact all the vehicles with cat spirits are scared of water. like. sir i understand you were a lion and “cats dont like water” but sir you are a CAR
the twins + Mach meeting Dark Spinner (the main villains) in an amusement park, not recognizing them, and spending the whole day hanging out
Raiga mimicking what he thought an American would be like (saying “c’mon baby” and all that) and then Joe showed up and he was Genuinely Like That
the fact Joe is just a cowboy. they never explain why he’s like this
Rin just outright yeeting Joe because he had his feet on her desk
Joe just instantly giving everyone a bone-crushing hug upon meeting them
The Lasso Hug.
Joe creating a plan to capture Dark Spinner and then immediately forgetting said plan
honestly Joe in general was a delight
Kakeru never reading instructions
the whole thing with Buffalo freaking out whenever Joe ate anything with beef in it and Joe being 100% done with it
everyone else having reasonable animal spirits in their mecha cars and Mach is over here with a honest to god T-Rex
Joe straight up saying “god dammit” in english
Mach creating a whole ass secret identity literally only because he wants to have a cool and dramatic reveal
the comedian pterodactyl spirits
Professor Kokudo and Autobahn being absolutely unhinged
Mach practicing poses and catchphrases in the middle of fucking nowhere
Joe trying to convince buffalo that the monster they’re fighting isn’t a cow while the monster continues to do cow-like things
Joe seeing Kakeru in a samurai outfit and immediately deciding to do a cowboy-samurai photoshoot
“mach is a dialect, Mach Go must be from the same town I’m from!” - Mach Go, disguised as Granner G
THE FUCKING LAVA RODEO THING
Joe pulling a whole entire bbq set out of nowhere and Kakeru going “where....did he get that....”
Mach saying that nobody suspected who he was because he’s a “great actor”
the game show episode, when Joe genuinely got offended that Raiga didn’t know the answer to a question about his mech
...also in the game show episode when a bag of chips landed on Kakeru’s head and he just did Nothing
when the others where trying to convince Mach to let Dark Spinner stay and they tried to butter him up by calling him Respectful Names and Joe straight up just said “President Go”
when Joe pulled a sacrificial move (he was fine, just couldnt go any further) and did like. some speech about milk
when they were all training and everyone else had broken off into pairs and Joe complained about having no one to train with and IMMEDIATELY everyone turned to attack him
when Joe, Kakeru, Mach, Kokudo, and Autobahn spent like 5 hours trying to crack a safe when the safe’s password was literally still the default “0000″
when the ancient alien spirit’s magic that was making Mach, Joe, and Kakeru float cut out and they just dropped to the floor
Raiga and Kuga sneaking Dark Spinner into their house like two kids sneaking home an injured animal (which was what their mom thought they were doing at first)
everyone doing the reversal mambo (it was for plot and emotional but oh my god is it funny in retrospect)
the english dub giving Joe the WORST attempt at a texan/southern accent me and my friend have ever heard
