Take Me Back to Wentira

“Come back please, Listya!” The societies called Listya repeatedly.

The ritual of Pompaura is started. The societies prepared sesajen such as noragi ose, tea, sugar, coffee, cassava, banana, and lamb. Sesajen is collected and tied in a yellow leaf on the bamboo trees. An old man sings the mantra which the title is Baliore. The societies are dancing a traditional dance and follow the music instrumental by gendang. An old man throws them noragi ose and flower mix water.

. “Although I’m envy with you, but it does not mean I hate you. I miss the moments I have spent with you. Come back please, my chatty cousin!” Ola cried out.

Almost three days Listya does not come back to Ola’s house. Ola is really worried about her. Ola and her neighbors arrived at custom home which located around coffee trees to celebrate the ritual for bring Listya back. The ritual of Pompaura celebrates to saving people from supernatural human in Wentira that people called as the invisible city. Ola and her neighbors lined up in the circle to watching this ritual. The societies are gathered to doing that ritual.

In another dimension, Listya recognizes their voice, the voice that called her, someone who missed her. Her body flies away in empty space. Her eyes closed. Her hearts still enough for a guy she ever loved.

FLASHBACK

Listya went to Wentira by her own self after she was runaway from Ola’s house in Donggala City. Listya enters this place and she found wonderful things that she had never seen before. That place is full of gold material: such as skyscrapers, house, bridge, and a castle. Listya feels there is someone who pats her shoulder. Two man wear guard uniform are angry with her. Listya is shocked when she looked at their faces. A guard man who wears the brown clothes has a horse face while the purple one has an eagle face.

           “I never guess there is someone who can enter this place except an ustadz.” A horse man throws his death glare to Listya.

           “Go out! Or we will kill you!” An eagle man pushes Listya by his wings.

           “I have invited her to enter this place.” A guy with crown on his head comes and catches Listya.

           A horse man and an eagle man are bowing to him as a sign of respect. They apologize for what they have done to Listya. Then, a horse man runs fast while an eagle man flies in the sky.

           “I’m sorry for my bodyguards. My name is Sander. Glad to see you.” He smiles at Listya.

           Listya is speechless. She is staring at Sander’s face. His blonde hair, his emerald eyes, his pointed nose, and his red lip makes Listya awestruck. Sander holds Listya’s hands to explore Wentira. Then, they stop in front of a luxurious castle.

           “I thought you are a prince since I saw you wear this crown on your head.” Listya guessed. Sander smiled at her. She is starring at Sander’s face and she realizes that Sander does not have the vertical groove between the base of nose and the border of the upper lip, called philtrum.

           Prince Sander guides Listya to enter his castle. The wall of the castle is made by gold. Listya is amazed even she thought that she is in a real paradise. A girl comes to Prince Sander and brings a dress for Listya. Listya is shocked. The girl’s face is really similar with Ola.

           “She is my maid, not Ola or someone whom you know.” Prince Sander confirmed.

           Then, a guy wear white shirt comes to Prince Sander. He brings a key for a guest’s room. Listya is familiar with his face. That guy’s face is similar with Ola’s husband. But Prince Sander explained that he is his bellboy. Prince Sander shows the room where Listya will stay.

           “This is your bedroom. Don’t forget to have dinner with my family tonight. I will pick you up here.” Prince Sander gives that dress and leaves Listya in that room.

           Listya is still amazed with her room. Listya lay down on the king size bed with red bedcover. A gold buffet with a mirror brings Listya’s attention. There is a perfume and make up on the buffet. Listya wears a soft pink dress that Prince Sander gave to her. Then, she is starring at the mirror, see her reflection in it and act like a princess.

           “I think I’m in love.” She is blushed. She hopes that night will come immediately.

           Night comes. Prince Sander brings high heels to Listya and waits for her in front of her room. Listya opens the door. She is starring at Prince Sander who wears a blue suit. Then, she wears the high heels. She is not accustomed to wear high heels, so Prince Sander holds her hands to the dinner room.

           “Welcome to the castle!” The king and the queen are welcoming Listya.

           Listya is shocked. The king’s face is really similar with his father and the queen’s face is really similar with her mother. But, Listya remembers that the people whom she saw at that place are almost similar with people she knew. So, Listya need to get used to it.

Beef steak and soft drink are already prepared on the table. Dinner goes in a good manner. Because of the similarity between Prince Sander’s parents with Listya’s parents, so Listya tells them her problem, such as how her friends exploit her because of her honesty.

“You are too naïve. Not all of people believe in truth. Sometimes, they need to tell a lie to the others to fulfill what they have expected before. You should realize that the kindness is not always right.” Prince Sander responds Listya’s story while he accompanies her to back to room.

“I want to know a girl who has a similar face like me in this place.” Listya ignored him.

“I have never seen a girl like you in this place. So, I invite you.” Prince Sander replied.

Listya is speechless. “Thanks for tonight, Prince.” She smiles at Prince Sander and hold Prince Sander’s hands tightly.

In the morning on sunny day, Listya looks at the window and find that Prince Sander advises the people in the yard. She overhears their conversation and looking the eye-contact between them till she concludes that Prince Sander is humble. Because of her curiosity, she goes out toward the yard.

“You are so humble just like on fairy tale. Am I in a dreamland?” Listya pinch her cheek.

“Oh, I didn’t realize if you were here just now.” Prince Sander is startled.

“Since I come here, I have not met the princess. Where is she?” Listya is curious.              

“There is no princess here.” Prince Sander answered.

Listya is grinned. It means that she has a chance to become Prince Sander’s wife while she is the one and only girl who can enter the castle except his maids. She pats his shoulder.

“I will be a princess here.” Listya is starring at Prince Sander tightly.

“What do you mean?” Prince Sander stunned.

“Yeah, I will move to this place and you can marry me. Then we will have little baby and we live happily ever after.” Listya persuades Prince Sander and expect too much.

“We are different, Listya. It’s not as easy as you think.” Prince Sander turned away.

“You choose me to enter your world. But why don’t you choose me to enter your life? No matter if you are human or not. I just want to be with you.” Listya hold Prince Sander’s hands tightly.

“It’s impossible, Listya. I’m Sorry.” Prince Sander emphasized his statement.

Prince Sander is starring at Listya while she cried on his shoulder. He wipes her tears and rubes her back tenderly. He regrets for what he said before. However, he lied to himself.

Listya realizes that she hugs Prince Sander tightly. Then, Prince Sander cleaves apart of her hair behind her ears.

“You will find another me. Good bye, Listya.” Prince Sander whispered.

END OF FLASHBACK

BRUK! The girl falls under the banana trees make the societies shocked. Then, they come to see her.

“Finally you are back, Listya!” Ola is touched. She hugs that girl tightly.

Listya is confused. She feels awkward when the people pay more attention to her. Then, she is starring at the one of them. The guy who wears blue shirt and white trousers reminds her to someone. Not because his handsome face, but his emerald eyes, his pointed nose, and his red lip are similar with someone. Unfortunately, she forgets the name. But, she feels familiar with him.

“He is Gatta, my neighbor in Donggala.” Ola realized that Listya looked at that guy.

Listya stunned. Her guess is wrong. But she believes that she had ever met someone whose face is similar with him before in another dimension.

“Uh, what happened with me?” Listya feels dizzy.

“You were lost in Wentira.” Ola replied. She holds Listya’s hands from his cheek.

“Wentira?” She is familiar with this word. Then, she remembers something.

“Hey, can you take me back to Wentira?” She continued.
