The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalms 24:1

Ownership is highly prized among us humans. Children and adults alike will fight, argue, and break off relationships over possessions and who they  belong to. Nations have gone to war over ownership disputes of land and natural resources.

Today's verse reminds us that God is the owner of this planet we live on, and as such, all that  is here. We are just stewards who, when our time of stewardship is ended, will pass it on to others. As the owner of all, God can distribute to us all that we need and more.

We need not engage in harmful, hurtful disputes over possessions. We can rely on God to provide for both our needs and wants!

Anytime you finish lotr or the hobbit it’s the loneliest most gut wrenching desolate feeling in the world lmao. 100% meant this to sound that dramatic because it’s true. Frodo sailing off or Bilbo letting Gandalf in the door and it showing the lonely mountain map. My heart sinks every time.

I honestly feel like nobody in lotr mentions how fucking weird Legolas is. He stays up pacing the floor and singing to himself in the dead of night. He deadass stares straight into the tree line in the absolute pitch black when no one else can see anything. He yells goodbye to a river he has heard about in songs. He's so strange and not one character mentions it AT ALL. I absolutely love him.

nothing, just tolkien originally writing down the hobbit because his son christopher kept complaining that he'd change the details from night to night and then christopher later being so crucial in taking tolkien's notes and turning them into fully written novels of worldbuilding. loving someone to the point of creation and then having them help you finish the job.
