Anon, you have the. Best. Timing. Ever. I literally just finished an Arcane artstyle study with Katara of the Undercity as a subject!

My favorite Arcane character is and forever shall be Ekko (best boy). Other faves are Viktor (chronic illness baby) and Jinx (trauma gremlin).

As for the S1 scene... Besides the finale and that breathtaking Guns for Hire sequence? The Ekko/Jinx fight from ep 7. It broke me. (And turned me into a Timebomb shipper. Which was arguably worse.)

vs thancred, who is seemingly super experienced on the outside but is actually terrible at genuinely expressing his feelings bc he's gotten so used to putting them aside for his work. trying to convince himself that katsu doesn't feel the same way and that he shouldn't get attached even though absolutely everything points to the opposite.

they're both SO stupid and need to actually TALK! about wtf is going on. and they do in late STB but honestly i don't know if early SHB would be better or worse for thancred if he was still in a weird limbo abt this guy that he's come to feel so strongly abt.

My t swift posts rarely make a splash but if I may get on my soap box to compare two lyrics from “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me” rq

Regardless of my thoughts on the rest of the song, “I was tame, I was gentle ‘till the circus life made me mean/don’t you worry folks we took out all her teeth” is an AMAZING pair of lyrics. It’s effective, heart wrenching, and incredibly visual. The kinda line that makes you run your tongue over your own teeth to make sure they’re all still there. It’s almost a tear jerker and it’s one of Taylor’s specialties: a highly specific line that becomes universal in the way that so many people, specifically women, feel silenced and traumatized by what life has done to them.

Compare this to “You wouldn’t last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.” Which should be just as effective, but I don’t think it is. Partly because it’s more accusatory in tone but mainly because it almost IMMEDIATELY became a meme. Taylor nation was posting the pic of the five holes in the fence with this lyric. And yeah, if you find one you relate to, it can be a funny meme. But it adds a little bit of corniness or millennial style humor to a song that insists on taking itself completely seriously. Like women were stabbed in the brain and killed in asylums, you just didn’t get tickets for a concert.

Now obviously Taylor wasnt raised in an asylum but she’s never been in a circus either but she really only received backlash for the asylum line. Circuses and asylums can both be places of incredible abuse but, personally, I think the circus is a much more apt metaphor for the entertainment industry. It embodies the often cannibalistic nature of celebrity along with the call of the spotlight.

Throughout this whole album Taylor keeps trying to evoke the “crazy poet locked in an asylum” imagery and I just don’t think it works for her. It’s an image that removes her agency in a life that she 100% chose and built for herself. She is much more the circus performer who feels they can never quit than she is a clinically insane patient in a hospital. WAOLOM loses its effectiveness when it stops being a lament on the trials of the entertainment industry and instead becomes an insistent whine that Taylor swift the individual will always be the victim.

Ok sorry I’m long overdue for a follow up of these tags I left on your post lol. Here goes: In my brain, the role of a cop is a very masculine one. Like obviously there are female cops but whenever they appear in media ( at the ones I’ve seen) they always are very masculine. So with Hayward whole thing about performing the role of a standard cop I think he was also performing masculinity in a very standard way. His whole arc in season 2 has also been about learning who he is outside of that performance so he I think he can also start to experiment with gender and get silly with it. I think that’d be good for him. maybe this only makes sense to me but thank you for the space to expand upon me ideas.

I love hugging my friends and family!! I adore showing physical affection! I've hugged coworkers and held hands with members at work to comfort them when theyre upset (if they initiated. Im not that dense to be touching strangers without consent lol. Ill ask people if i dont know them well enough to know what theyre ok with).

All of this to say: I don't feel good and I want hugs, so thats my answer lol. (Though believable lore/timeline connecting the games would be fantastic haha))

I dunno how long ago it was I was talking about it or if I ever did, but I was just thinking about the way some of the animatronics have unique ways of recharging separate to a recharge station.

Like I've had DJ and Roxy using special lamps for recharging for a while with recharge stations being a big risk to the systems, and this has developed a bit since then. Mostly just the reasoning behind why Roxy has it, and it's being given to a few other animatronics in Plex History stuff too. Then there's Chica with a biofuel stomach that converts all food consumed into a power source, and can be used with a recharge station (thanks @/phroggslayer!!) which is neat, even if I keep forgetting about it. Those were the only unique ones I had (I had something for the Minis but I don't remember it) but I've just had a thought.

Now, I don't have the game so I can't just wander around and have a look, but there's water in Gator Golf, right? What if the water has a current and Monty can charge via a fucking water wheel in his chest? Like a stomach hatch where it pops open while he's floating on his stomach like the gator he is and this wheel drops down so the current can turn it and generate power? Seems really inefficient ngl so maybe multiple wheels or something? I dunno I think that would be kinda cool but also kinda goofy???

An alternative could be that the water is electrified and whenever he goes in it, his body absorbs the power through the water. I feel like that would give him the side effect of slowly power draining some animatronics if he hugs them or something though which honestly could still be pretty fun?

Like, he can lie under the restoring lights with Roxy and DJ and cuddle with them (I'm thinking platonically but it doesn't really matter) to charge himself through them. They get to take an extra long nap because he's draining their power while they're getting it from the lights and they like their naps so they like this arrangement actually.

And then you could have Monty hugging Chica to drain from her while she eats, biofuel speed at maximum and they're testing whether or not Chica can eat faster than he can charge. That could be pretty funny. Some fun emotional stuff to look at too with him being unable to touch his friends without draining their energy, but if it's slow enough then it's probably not too big a deal. Even less of a big deal if he can turn it on and off at will.

The waterwheel thing is just so funny to me though??? It's like those cartoons where the robot opens their chest and there's a little hamster running on a wheel in there to power them lmao

But if he can drain power from electronics then he can grab your phone and drain it dry within a few seconds out of spite and I think he deserves that actually. Of course I'd let him be able to use the recharge station as well, but why would he choose to use that over floating around the Gator Golf water features?
