@brianadoesart Loki very much did have the Tesseract and the means to give it to Thanos at about 3 minutes into Avengers 1
“You think you can make Loki tell us where the Tesseract is?” “I do not know. Loki’s mind is far afield. It’s not just power he craves, it’s vengeance, upon me. There’s no pain would prise his need from him.” “A lot of guys think that. Until the pain starts.“ No because Thanos literally didn’t get the Tesseract out of torturing Loki but he DID get it out of hurting Thor

As far as I’m aware, Howard Stark recovered the Tesseract back in the 40’s from an energy signature whilst combing the ocean for Steve. I also don’t think the Tesseract is seen in the MCU after that until Avengers 1, when it was stolen by Loki from SHIELD, for Thanos. I assume SHIELD had custody of the Tesseract from Howard Stark directly since he helped found SHIELD with Peggy Carter. Why they chose to experiment with it 70 years later is beyond me. It is not in Thor 1 however. Perhaps you’re confusing it with the Casket of Ancient Winters, which is also a blue box from Odin’s Treasure Room. Hope this helped !!
Marvel Question
Okay Marvel fans I have a question about the universe and I am looking to you guys for help. I hope I can explain this well enough. Here it goes!
So Cap has had the tesseract since WWII with him under the ocean. They uncover him right before the first Avenger team movie, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has had the tesseract in their custody since.
Then how was the tesseract in Asgard in the first Thor movie? I could accept the “they’re gods” theory, but Thor went to New Mexico and met Jane during the movie which was closer to the time frame Cap was unfrozen and the first Avenger team movie. My question is how is this even possible? How could the tesseract be with Cap/SHIELD and in Asgard? Am I forgetting something?
