im without internet for a month, but while i have a brief bit of data, heres some second citadel doodles - it was truly the only podcast i had downloaded and i listened to 3 seasons in like 5 days 🧍

welcome to night vale is dating the magnus archives. they opened their relationship a while ago and so the magnus archives started dating the penumbra podcast, a young podcast but experienced in polyamory. the magnus archives has an extensive polycule of queer fiction podcasts, and welcome to night vale is a little old but still gets on with everyone—the dilf of the polycule, if you will. the penumbra podcast is very involved but not necessarily official with most other podcasts. when you talk to the magnus archives or the penumbra podcast, they go on about their polycule and offer you and your queer fiction podcast friend to join in. does this make sense?

So yeah. That episode destroyed me. The end of an era. The end of the second citadel. I cried a lot. But I also smiled. At Marc and Tal making up, at Angelo and Ale getting together, at hyacinth, it was all a lot of emotions. Its so hard to describe how much this podcast means to me. If you all couldn't tell I love the second citadel(With how many quotes I make about it) and the ending felt so beautiful to me. A work of art. And its something where it lefts the characters move on and live their lives. This story is done but they all have new chapters to explore and discover

The thing that felt so perfect to me was the ending of Marc and Tal. The two who started the story off in the same physical place that they started it. Two brothers in the woods exploring the world. But this time changed from where they were in the beginning in an insurmountable way. Full circe but this time the story is different, the characters are the same mostly only in name. We move on to our next adventure with them.

i wonder about The Keep sometimes, this incredibly ancient being that is fundamental to the natural order, feeling grateful for Lord Arum finding love in Amaryllis and Sir Damien. her progeny, her child, who saw himself as little else than her protector realising there is purpose in wanting, and seeing the warmth of connection, however fleeting it may be. even if Lord Arum is still here long after they are gone, what great memories would they now be able to always recount at having had a chance to explore the meaning of love.

oh this podcast is EVERYTHING you know when you're consuming queer fiction and you're happy that it's queer but at the same time it's treated so other? like oh there's the non-binary side character, cracking they/them jokes so no does it first. but the penumbra podcast?? it's so normal, no one even blinks an eye and it's wonderful!! sapphic knights and non binary private investigators??? it's a story where they didn't think oh i want to add a gay character and added it, it's where the character is saving the world and just happens to be gay alongside it. and it's fucking awesome.

I’ve pavlov dogged myself into thinking about the penumbra podcast every time i smell fabuloso, specifically the purple one, bc every time i clean my grammy’s house i listen to tpp and i use fabuloso on her floors and i’ve done this for about 4 years.
