WAKE UP EVERYONE NEW NORTH WIND IMAGES DROPPED-

These were found by a Reddit user while looking for "unused comics from 2017" as documented in this post.

The part that's so fucking funny to me in the first image is that the eye used for the old NW design is literally in a painting in LN1, meaning all three of the comic's antagonists were based on paintings from LN1 until someone at Titan decided to change the design for NW specifically for god knows what reason.

Obviously there are some other changes too, like the more snout-like appearance in the two panels etc, but the amorphous blob design being an eye at one point is the most notable change to me. Just something interesting that I think should have stayed in, if only for like one frame to establish consistency with the rest of the comics.

trying out a bit of abstract art for this one. i changed up the north wind quite a bit cause you know their just a black blob in the comics and i thought it be interesting if they slightly resembled a crow.

I know it's strange, but what would everyone's reaction be if the north wind died out of nowhere? I mean, if they fell dead randomly...

the North Wind DIED

To be honest, the only two people that would notice North Wind's sudden death would be the Ferryman and the Lady

The Ferryman is the first to find out. He comes across a large pile of dead, black feathers in the middle of a wind torn field

Since North Wind liked their crows, Ferryman automatically knew this were the remains of his old foe

He's shocked, to say the least, and immediately reports it to the Lady the Ferryman: North Wind is dead the Lady: ...WHAT!?

The two discuss theories and details on North Wind's demise and what that means for the world

The Lady assumed that there would be change to the weather, while the Ferryman figured nothing would happened

They both agree to keep the news to themselves for now and watch for any changes

...but then the Thin Man found out and broadcasted it across the Nowhere the Thin Man: BREAKING NEWS! THE NORTH WIND HAS BE DESTROYED!!

After the news broke, the majority of the world merely shrugged their shoulders

But, for the people that knew of North Wind, they cheered. At last, the world would be at peace

However, it didn't take long for the parties to do something to the forgotten pile of feathers the North Wind: Oh, so you thought~

North Wind hadn't died-died. They merely collapsed and rested for a bit, and regained their strength

The Lord of the Skies came back with vengeance, and continued their usual havoc across the world
