The young child looked up and gave a questioning look. She brings her hand up to her arm and flinches when she touches it. She had forgotten about the bruise there. “I-i… um was in the kitchen and I saw my daddy crying on the floor so I went to go see if he was ok and my mom was in there and she said…”. The child puts on an angry expression as she puts on a gruff voice to go along with it, ““ABI! THIS IS NOT YOUR BUSINESS! GET UPSTAIRS RIGHT NOW!” and she took the spoon she was holding and I think she was tryin’ to spank me or something but she missed and ended up hitting my arm.”

The halfling stares at the younger version of the other perseverance soul, shaking. Why…. Why any mother would do that to her child is beyond her… But it made her blood boil. She’s gonna. ignore how the other mentioned her real name. She would always be Squirrel to her.

 “…. That’s……” She growls. “Where the hell is she, then?”
