I have a truly awful idea for you Reddie shippers:

What if after eddie divorces Myra and gets with Richie everything seems just perfect until he gets into a major accident at work and Richie, with all his abandonement issues and past trauma, starts to fuss over him in the hospital. Eddie reacts very negatively to this and begins to slowly with draw from Richie, and the more distant they become the more Richie freaks out about it and tries to over compensate. This continues on until richie is basically a total clingy mess. And that's when Eddie has to ask himself if he ever actually divorced Myra/mom afterall. Perhaps a person like Eddie is just always meant to attract somebody like that, even when he thinks hes made it out and got the big gay happy ending that was supposed to change it all. And it only gets worse when Eddie realizes Richie wears the same glasses as his mother...
