Ender didn't go out all that much after settling down in this universe. He was done roaming the stars and the worlds of here and not there to find answers and such. It was tiring, trying to find meaning in everything. How long had it been since he flew up into space? Being an accountant wasn't something he was quite fond of, but at least it gave some semblance of meaning into his rather meager existence. He sighs at the thought as he makes his way into the bar he'd been hearing from the grapevine.

It seemed like a slow night, not many people around and it was pretty quiet minus the music. Ender goes up and takes a seat at the bar. He wasn't sure what to order as he looks at his phone to see what he could get.

Well I got to say something about @the-expatriate and Pari, who I believe has been an OC for years now? And the deidcation does really show - a grounded character who has a history that shows through, while not defining them entirely. 10/10 recommend!

"Here it is," the android murmured, sticking her key into the lock, and unceremoniously body-slamming her front door ajar, "Home sweet home, as they say."

The sun was slowly setting, and Arma's half of the rental house (the basement portion, of course) offered shelter from the grinding, over-stimulating implements of her world. Even as she beckoned for Pari to follow, a massive, hulking street sweeper slid past on the street, a monolith of flashing lights and horns.

While the android's apartment, like her car, cast the debonair and sultry woman in a slightly more austere light, Arma had done her best to make it at least somewhat inviting, without endangering her security deposit.

"Would you like something to eat?" she purred, slipping out of her giant fur coat. Arma also seemed to drop a meter in stature as she took her high heels off. "I was planning on making some soup."

It was a cold night, the sun had just set and Dio was at Pari’s doorstep. He was wearing some festive clothes for the occasion, ready to have a wonderful night out with her as the snow continued to fall.

He knocked on her door and patiently waited for her to respond. His mind was already racing, trying to plan the places he would take her and the things they would do together but the most important thing was that they would be together. They had been away from each other for far far too long.

It didn't matter the season of the year, the twilight hours between sunset and dusk, though he did like the ones between dawn and sunrise when he could be awake for it, was his favourite time of the day. As long as the weather was clear and no threat of rain, he'd hate to damage his violin that way.

He sat on the bench in a quiet corner of this park as he careful took the violin case at his side and place it delicately onto his lap. Opening it up to let his fingers carefully run over the instrument inside.

This was his treasure and most prized possession.

He put the case back onto the bench at his side and took the instrument and bow out from the case. Resting it into the position to play it, it looked like another part of him like an extension of his being.

And then he began to play to himself mostly but he didn't mind if anyone else heard within the park, it was quiet this time of night and he loved the way the small wind and breeze would carry his music now as he slowly stood from the bench as he got lost in his music.

Oooohh, let's go with shipping, because that's a popular topic in the rpc.

I think I talked about this briefly before, but I wanted to elaborate on it a little more because it's something that bothers me personally. I know everybody has their own opinion on this, and of course people can roleplay however they choose, so take this with a grain of salt, of course.

It really bugs me when your muse gets entirely "locked out" of getting to know someone else's muse, or getting to know them deeply and personally and getting to know certain important factors of their backstory, simply because they aren't considered shippable with that muse.

I know, people will say you can't speak for someone else, but to me it's really obvious when someone else does this. The moment your muse is no longer on the table for being in a romantic relationship with the other muse, suddenly it's like they can no longer be a part of any plots with them. That muse will never come to them with any problems, will never cry on their shoulder, will never open up to them with their heart, nothing. All of that gets saved for the romantic candidates and the shipping partners, while my muse sits on the sidelines for the more shallow interactions.

It's really sad to me. I know that person can do whatever they want with their muse, and there is nothing I can do about it. It's not my place to tell people how to play their muses. But it sucks to have your muse locked out of getting to know someone's muse simply because they aren't romantically involved with them. It's not even just that, it's that I personally don't get to get involved with any plots or anything further. You just get sidelined entirely.

I state in my rules that I don't make shipping a priority, and I wish others would understand that that also means that I don't appreciate when others do it to me too. If you want to make shipping your priority, that's fine, but it doesn't make us ideal roleplaying partners if it is your priority, because I want our muses to be able to bond with each other and learn these things about each other without romantic shipping being a necessary thing, which seems to be the case for so many people.

I don't know how to say that without it coming across as being judgy or rude. I guess that's why it's an unpopular opinion. So yeah, people are allowed to rp their muses however they please, and so am I. I just wish people were more up front about it, instead of saying "shipping is not my priority!" and then... it is. It is your priority. Because so many people lock other people's muses out of deeper interactions the second their muse is no longer a romantic interest. Sorry, I said it.

Obviously, our government would never do anything even remotely close to this awful shit to it's own people. Even if it meant that we would have justification to take back control of all the opium farms that were burned somewhere that's definitely not in the Middle East. Now we're killing Palestinians. If you think this was Israel's idea all along, I would ask that you direct your attention to literally America's favorite move: getting someone else to do it so they take the blame. Most of the wars America has caused were over natives not wanting to buy or produce heroin. We are the biggest, most evil company in the world, and I'm leaving one day. Once I know I'm not a citizen of this country anymore, I might breathe a little easier knowing that at least I'm not benefitting from hate and hell untold put unto the rest of the world. If you think you can defend this country's honor somehow, you are just as morally bankrupt as it is.

The Alpha Troll Rewrite Project

I have long held that the Alpha Trolls should have been kept out of Homestuck, and recently happened upon the idea of integrating them into *Hiveswap* instead. (My incoherent ramblings on the structure of such a work can be found [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/11t5lmT36tJIwdzrKN0iuADk7QALUkMcmMGzzqrVtCkA/edit?usp=drivesdk.)

However, these changes would still present the issue of, well, the Alpha Trolls. A motley crew, to be sure, never truly designed to carry a narrative, with few sympathetic characters you want to see succeed among them, even if you don't agree that they're also littered with stereotypes.

Thus, the Alpha Troll Rewrite Project. A collaborative effort where I ask on Reddit and Tumblr and recieve ideas from the community on how they would write the Alpha Trolls and the lore of Beforus, based on:

The Ancestors shown to us, and their designs (perhaps not the Handmaid's dress/coding, though).

Their appearances in Openbound, and for Meenah and Aranea, the rest of the comic.

The Beta Trolls; what unexplored aspects of their characters would you like to see reflected?

The stipulation that there be no inherent lifespan differential between Castes, a change I remain steadfast on.

The stipulation that the names of, at the very least, Rufioh, Aranea, and Horuss be changed.

And the arrangements of Vantas=Seer, Piexes=Thief, and shared name=shared Aspect from the Ancestors, with the further stipulation that, of course, there is one of each of the standard 12 Classes, and that the Knight of the Session be either Breath/Nitram, Space/Maryam, or Mind/Pyrope.

I will be posting specific threads for suggestions on each of them in the Zodiac arrangement every Sunday and Wednesday over the next six weeks (ie; Megido tomorrow, then Nitram, Captor, Vantas, Leijon... Piexes), featuring my ideas and seeking thoughts from the community.

The grid extends outward, a series of brightly colored panels, perfectly lined up with razor precision. There is no rhyme or reason to their coloration, only that they are the brightest possible shade of their given color. This world is not home, it is an unnatural plane of flat textures and warm, dry air. The very edges of this empty plane are fuzzy and poorly defined, almost as if they were simultaneously pixelated and real at the same time.

Pari is almost entirely alone, save for a single black figure in the distance, and a bizarre structure to her left, which appeared to be made out of stuff sheets of paper. As with everything, the scene is either foreboding, or peaceful, depending on the observer.
