Heyy ❤︎ I read the first chapter of "The Devil's Due" that you pinned. I just would really like to know if, just in case you want to continue the story in the future, you would post the chapters here on tumblr or ao3
(I know it may sounds dumb, it's just because I've seen some authors post in here their fics, that's why I'm asking! And nothing wrong with either of those choices, btw)
Hi there! 💜
If I continue it (which I hope to be able to at some point) I will post it on AO3. I don't think Tumblr is optimal for posting fanfics. The reason why I posted the first chapter here was partly just to show the cool story my brain came up with, and partly to see if people were actually interested in it. Which it seems like a lot of people are.
I just somehow need to find the time to write it in between everything else. Maybe I just need to dedicate a couple of weeks to it and get it over with? Who knows?
But yeah. If I continue, I'll post it on AO3 :)

If Ardra had been able to keep her frankly wild Picard thirst under wraps she probably would have gotten away with her planet stealing scheme. I understand, but damn!

so my initial theory regarding how they’d handle the hell arc in tlovm was that they’d combine it with the quest for the dawnmartyr’s plate (bc they both involved a contract to kill a pit fiend and also hotis isn’t a thing in the show)
but upon the trailer i don’t think that’s the reason they go to hell

note the whitestoney design on the casket here, this is percy’s casket

NOTICE THE DISTINCT LACK OF PERCY IN ANY OF THE SHOTS SET IN HELL (especially since percy was such a lead in that arc with his deal with ipkesh and all)
I THINK THEY’RE ON A MISSION TO RESCUE PERCY’S SOUL FROM THE FLAMES OF HELL POST GLINTSHORE
(and the dawnmartyr’s plate is just a bonus here)

Made the irreversible mistake of giving him that lock of hair, and now, every time I see him, all I can think about is how much I need to push it back and tuck it away. He's KILLING me.

I just read the Devil's Due! Oh WOW!
Ga On startled when Judge Kang suddenly turned his head and calmly met Ga On's gaze. He did so with enough precision and purpose to make it obvious he was aware of the staring and had finally decided to address it. Ga On cheeks flushed with embarrassment and even if he told himself to look away, he didn't.
He couldn't.
It was as if his own body suddenly refused to obey him.
Instead, Ga On stared back at Judge Kang, helpless to stop himself, not sure how a gaze could be that intense, even from across a room. It felt almost like a physical touch.
Ga On realized his heart was racing again.
A couple of seconds passed before Judge Kang let out what looked to be a small, amused huff. Then, with a brief yet unmistakable flash of mischief in his eyes, smiled at Ga On. While Judge Kang might act unconcerned and aloof, that smile said that he knew exactly what he'd just done — and didn't regret it one bit.
WOW!! The tension in this fic is JUST LIKE the tension on the show during the court cases! You write them so good, just like in the show! WOW!
Why thank you, I try ;)
No, but, like, for real. I am a little bit obsessed with how much FUN it is to write these two, especially when I get to ramp up the tension and play around with Yo Han being, well, Yo Han. He's so, so very intriguing and I love portraying a character who's not only incredibly intelligent and calculating, but has the kind of aura that he does. And, of course, it's especially fun when I can pit it against Ga On who's clever, stubborn, and has a bit of darkness, too.
And this fic would, uh, be a lot of that. Like, A LOT.
Because this is while Yo Han is still biding his time, not outright working on executing his plans, so he's not as focused on that. He's got more time to play around with a young, bright law student who, as Yo Han very well knows, isn't quite as pure as he seems at first glance. A young, bright law student who happens to be just a little bit vicious and dangerous himself. A young, bright law student who, despite not really having acted on it before, knows he's definitely into men.
Especially older men, it turns out.
I don't think I have to explain why this fic would, most likely, be the rawest, most tension-filled one I've written to date (if I ever do write it). I'm kind of terrified of it, to be honest, since I'm not sure if know how to write dangerous sexual tension well enough to pull it off but, just maybe, I'll give it a try regardless. We'll see x'D
I'm glad you liked this first chapter, anyway! It was so, so much fun to write!

Hot take, while I do think aging Daniel up was a good choice in that it opened up new avenues of exploration (and a potential DM amnesia plot!!!) I don’t think it actually was necessary to fix DM because maturity differences weren’t the real core of DM’s relationship problems.
Their flaws are still the same—old Daniel is still blunt and somewhat insensitive, stubborn and reckless and Armand is still controlling, condescending, melodramatic and above it all. These flaws were causing some tension but they weren’t insurmountable.
Old Daniel and B!Daniel also aren’t that different—Daniel at 20-24 is constantly scared Armand will kill him and still pushes back against him verbally with sarcasm and bite and expresses any and all frustration every chance he gets (it’s part of why he remains entertaining) just like 69 yr old Daniel.
This is only compounded once book Daniel realizes he’s not at risk of dying and has Armand just as wrapped around his finger as vice versa. Show Daniel is just a little more wrapped up in cynicism and hides his softer parts compared to B!Daniel who balances it out better imo, he’s not necessarily more mature.
They love each other’s “flaws” they acknowledge each others negative traits but mostly enjoy them. The actual core to their countless fights was the age old human wants to be vampire/vampire sees it as a curse dilemma. (Yes DM ran so Twilight could tip toe softly lol).
I think B!Daniel was absolutely 100% fair in feeling like Armand was treating him like a pet dog and would move on and not mourn that long if he died (even if this absolutely wasn’t true—we know this) and Armand wasn’t helping by belittling him when he did return home and not actually communicating that he did care that well.
However, that’s already been solved in the show—the second major problem (and break up causer) is an extension of the the initial one—Armand feels too unnecessarily guilty about the turning (and thinks Daniel hates him) and leaves—Daniel feels abandoned (and thinks Armand preferred him mortal).
I think a maturity difference issue would be more reasonable and less silly than their actual relationship problem which is weirdly banal given how weird they are everywhere else but nothing’s perfect.

The expression I grew up with among the Scotch-Irish in America was "Hell's Half Acre" or "The Devil's Due".
In Scotland and parts of the British Isles, we find The Devil’s Acre as a sort of offering to the Wild Adversary, called sometimes ‘The Gudeman’s Croft’ or ‘Cloutie’s Croft’. This is where a good piece of the pasture is left wild, given as an offering to the Devil, out of respect and fear. This piece of ground was not ventured onto nor put into any sort of production, as it was left in the Devil’s service. Ulstermen from Ireland called this ‘The Devil’s Half Acre’ or ‘The Lone Acre’. A name from England for it was ‘Jack’s Land’. Even from New England, it was spoke of as ‘leaving the tithe to nature’. One seed-planting incantation from nineteenth century Suffolk went: ‘Four seeds in a hole, One for the birds, One for the mice, and One for the Master’. Another from Ashe County, North Carolina simply goes: ‘This is for me, This is for my neighbor, This is for the Devil’. This notion that the Devil must have his share of the bounty of the land is no doubt a remnant from ancient times, where offerings to local land spirits were part of planting and harvesting practices. The power of the Old One, similar to the denizens of the Faerie realm, having the supernatural ability to bestow a blessing or curse upon the land, was taken seriously in times past. Regular offerings and acknowledgement were in order.
