I remember this game! It was Cluefinders 3rd Grade Adventures: The Mystery of Mathra!

what was that educational computer game where the plot was that an evil fur-poacher was hiding his illegal activities by making a giant flying machine shaped like an ancient legendary monster, and he Would Have Gotten Away With It If Not For These Meddling Kids (and their Impressive Age-Appropriate Puzzle-Solving Skills)

Had a sudden urge to look up my old educational video game series, ClueFinders, and I was somehow not aware that the ones named after the grades they were supposed to teach had actual sub-titles

Specifically, 3rd grade adventures was called The Mystery of Mathra

The other titles sound at least somewhat familiar but I have no recollection of Mathra

ClueFinders 3rd Grade Adventures Mystery of the Monkey Kingdom (previously released as The Mystery of Mathra) something about the end credits music scared both me and my best friend so badly we started crying and his mother had to come pick him up from my house while my mom tried to explain she hadn’t actually let us play something scary, it was an educational math game…..

Honorable mention to Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand, the game that caused me to look up “bloodletting” in the encyclopedia, become very alarmed, and lose two whole nights of sleep over it while staying at my grandmothers house with nothing to distract me but her collection of audiobooks of the Bible. Trauma for life.

1st grabs is for wind waker but as a gamecube zelda game I’m sure I’m extremely not alone so pandemic 2 (the virus game) & cluefinders 3rd grade adventures the mystery of mathra and my little pony friendship gardens (back when the horses eyes were still tiny). I would go to the market a lot during weekends and buy cds of bargain bin games to play on the family pc when i was a little booger

No most of the time I like walking around is in the dark anyway. it feels a lot more aimless and kinda like when ppl would trip balls and get lost in the woods near school i really love getting lost… disproportionate nostalgia for such an arbitrary feeling

U can’t do this to me i was sleeping in my friends backyard TWO days ago and i felt something on my forearm and beat the shit out of my own arm cuz I thought it was mosquito season and it was just some ladybug. I mean I’ve had my lapses in empathy before but that was unreal. So ladybugs, but in spirit fireflies because they are really easy to catch barehanded, kinda makes you feel like a bear grylls-esque insect wrangler

Either/or. Sometimes i get too bent up the wall to talk to people and I love singing at dogs you can do weird shit around pets and they don’t even care there’s nothing restricting them. Maybe i don’t act that different around people and pets? Oh no

When I was pretty young, me and my dad went to this bar and grill place where the music system was this one guy with a tv and a SHITTON of mtv music videos recorded on thousands of dvds and you could flip through his dvd album book and pay a quarter to play whatever song he had recorded to the whole restaurant. So one guy put on paranoid android, and while it was playing on the tv I just stared at the music video the entire time just totally hypnotized. I’ve never really seen anything of that caliber before & i probably learned several new emotions that day

the only reason I’ve been listening to exclusively this song the past week is cuz I found the old road trip mixtape for when my family still owned a car and this is the first song on it. I listened to almost entirely psychedelic music when I was ~6 like not even just tomorrow never knows stuff cuz it made me feel floaty like that sitar shit sampled with noises from borneo jungle slapped on a Pure Moods cd. Lots of trippy crap is nostalgic to me bc it was one of if not the first genre of music i got into. A sublime song belongs somewhere on this tier too

vacuum noises I s2g theres something about the sound of vacuuming that makes me grind my teeth into a fine calcium powder it makes forks on a plate sound like enya if you ask me. I’m already fairly scatterbrained but mostly when i want to talk about more than 1 thing. One time a really long while ago I had to do this class presentation and I didn’t bring any notes or flashcards cuz I thought I would be prepared and I accidentally said a whole sentence backwards without realizing it because I was thinking about what tf I actually wrote on my poster >X|

Upon falling into the trap, Limburger falls down the pit with his plane. After they do so, the Mathra trap becomes invisible, and the Cluefinders lure the returning Limburger to fly his plane into it. Pythagoras and the animals in the process. They rebuild the Mathra trap by collecting snakes made from ancient Numerian magnets (known as 'snagnets'), which the Numerians used to trap Mathra, and rescue Dr. Pythagoras is trapped on the other side of the Bottomless Pits of Doom with all the animals that Limburger has been collecting. After admitting that he was behind the mystery, Limburger locks Joni, Santiago, and Laptrap in the city and flies away in his Mathra plane to collect more animals.Įventually, thanks to the ancient talking guardians of the Lost City, the ClueFinders discover that Dr. Pythagoras was too close to exposing the smuggling operations, and is now being held with the animals that he had captured. It turns out that «Fletcher» is Limburger's first name. Limburger built a disguise for his airplane, so it would appear to be Mathra, having used the legend of Mathra to provide a cover of his smuggling of animal hides for his fur company. Inside, they find what appears to be Mathra sleeping, but then it occurs to them who is really behind the animals' disappearance - Mr. When they take out both keys, they fuse together to form one key, which they then use to unlock the gate. The ClueFinders eventually make their way on their own to the Lost City's gates.
