#The Anxious Ninja [ Senri ]

It was common knowledge back in his own timeline that he was always anxious, especially when Senri was around people that he was unfamiliar with. Doing anything with anyone other than his team or his family filled him with a sense of dread, so when he asked Haruhi to meet up with him to try and get to know one another better, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't a bit scared.

❝Over here!❞ He called out to Haruhi when he'd noticed them walk in, though his voice didn't carry as much as it could have thanks to him being shy which led him to wave a hand as an indicator as well to show where he was seated. Hopefully, he didn't end up weirding her out, otherwise, they may not be so willing to help him better adjust here.

❝Well, I'm glad that you'll be able to experience it now!❞ Senri gently laughed after hearing what the other had said, knowing that trying something new was always nice, even if it did end up giving you a little anxiety. ❝I used to eat here a lot with my family, especially my mom, so hopefully you can find something that you like!❞

He really hoped he wasn't coming off as some kind of weirdo, especially since the two really didn't know each other really well. The other thing that was starting to get to Senri was trying to find a way to bring up just what time he was in without sounding like some kind of lunatic. This certainly wasn't his timeline, and he wasn't sure exactly how he knew that, but there was this gut feeling in him when looking around his home village that made him think that it wasn't the home he knew.

❝S-So... uh... You said that your dad used to eat here? What's he like?❞ It was a bit of a personal question, one that Senri was well aware could be a bit too intrusive, but maybe their response would help him get a better idea? Maybe he would know who Haruhi's dad was and he could go from there? Though, what if he doesn't learn anything of value and he's right back at square one? ❝Y-You don't have to answer, of course! I'm just... I'm trying to get a little better at small talk, y'know?❞

Haruhi turned and saw Senri and gave a small wave. "Hey there!" She greeted as she went over to him. "Interesting choice of restaurants." She told him as she sat down. "Apparently my dad used to come here all the time when he was a kid. I've never eaten here yet so it'll be a neat new experience."

Usagi jumped out from behind a tree, smiled at Senri, and showed him a living rabbit, "Look, this is Spot! My rabbit!"

     Senri nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight of the small girl suddenly jumping out at him, though he was able to calm his rapidly beating heart once he saw that it was Usagi. He didn’t her to worry about him and his shriek he almost let out, so he immediately gave the young girl a bright smile as he looked over the cute little rabbit.

                                  ❝It’s adorable, Usagi-chan! Have you been taking care of it for a long time or have you found it recently?❞ Senri offers the little rabbit a gentle scratch on the head, smiling softly at how cute it was. 

     He may or may not be a sucker for little animals.

     Senri is a little flustered by the gesture as his cheeks are quickly dusted with a rosy pink color as he giggles almost nervously, his hand moving up to the spot on his forehead rather quickly.

     A blush spread across Senri’s cheeks almost immediately from the force of the hug, a soft smile managing to make its way through; he wasn’t exactly sure what he should do in response, though he was definitely comforted by the nice feeling. As such, as if by instinct, Senri seemed to huddle in a little closer as he relished in the warmth.

                                  ❝Sh-Shisui-san? Why are you hugging me all of a sudden…?❞ He wasn’t really against being hugged—if anything he was all for it—though he certainly was confused by how sudden it all seemed. ❝I um… Don’t we have a mission to complete?❞

☕ Our muses to meet at a cafe (From Haruhi to Senri Etsuko)

FIRST MEETING STARTERS

     Senri’s hands sweat nervously as he sat at the small table with a steaming mug of coffee in front of him; he was told by a friend of his that they were going to meet up together in their favorite cafe with a friend that they wanted him to meet, though it seems as if they both had decided to bail without informing him.

     Neat.

     He sighed, his head hung as he watched the steam rise from the warm mug and occasionally blew on it to watch the wisps fade away for a moment before going back to business. It was a yucky feeling to think that someone had stood you up, but alas, here he was sitting all alone in a cafe with nothing but a mug of coffee and his thoughts.

     Senri moved to stand hoping to go to the bathroom for a quick cry or something of the sort, an arm raising for him to wipe his sleeve over his eyes with a small sniffle. He wasn’t paying attention as he was doing so, bumping into someone on the way over to the bathroom. He immediately panicked and looked them in the eyes, fear evident in his gaze.

                                  ❝I-I’m so sorry; I wasn’t paying attention…❞

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Fukuri rubbed her brow hurt. She ran around the corner and didn't expect to hit into someone. It was a boy. "Are you all right?" // Fukuri @ Senri Etsuko

     Senri rubbed his forehead tenderly in a soothing motion, taking a minute or two to process what had happened; he remembers that he was going out for a nice stroll and that he was mere seconds away from going around the corner, though that’s where he gets a little iffy. It doesn’t take him long for him to put the pieces together and upon realizing that he ran into someone he nearly freaks.

                                  ❝I-I’m so sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going!❞ 

     Senri’s hands seem to be hovering at this point as they try and move to a place that they may be needed, though his body is in panic mode and he isn’t able to make sense of anything. Does he massage them where he bumped into them? Does he massage his forehead? Does he shake hands? Curse him and his damn anxiety.

                                  ❝I didn’t mean it! H-Honest! Are you hurt?!❞

The sunset painted Atsuki gold, highlighting the bruises and cuts blooming across his face. He was always aggressive and brash, causing this new fight.

A hand extended to him, the hand of a concerned boy named Senri. “Are you okay?” He asked, not expecting the reply.

“I didn’t need your help!” Atsuki hissed, pushing himself up with a wince.

     Senri flinched at the harsh tone in the other’s voice, yanking his hand back in fear as his eyes widened at the sudden outburst. Sure, he should have expected at least some kind of response when reaching out to help the other from the ground as he clutched his injuries, though he hadn’t prepared for the anger that was now practically radiating from this boy.

                                  ❝I-I’m sorry...! I didn’t mean to intrude!❞ Senri squeaked, taking a step or two back to get out of the other’s way. ❝I... I just saw that you were a little... um... I saw you were hurt and I didn’t just... y’know, want to leave you out here...❞

     His rapidly beating heart was making him stutter like crazy as he feared what the other may decide to do while it was only the two of them; he could attack him, he could, I dunno, attack him, maybe even attack him! He didn’t want that! How would he defend himself against someone who is clearly injured and weaker in this state? That makes no sense!

                                  ❝I-If you want, I’ll leave! I won’t bother you again, I swear!❞
