I think the scene with Itachi and Kisame escaping Jiraiya has so much untapped humor to it.
Like. I know I know it super wasn't a thing but I find it so funny to imagine Itachi and Jiraiya knowing each other via work. Considering one of them low key specializes in stealth/spy work and one of them runs a spy network.
The image of Itachi trying to do his job and his boss just waltzing in to go What Do You Think You're Doing, That's Not Very Protocol Of You is so funny to me. Itachi just immediately dropping Naruto and going on his way like My Bad, Actually, Disregard That
Itachi getting jumpscared by his boss while out on contract 4K /hj

Happy New Year Tay! You are one of my favorite writers in this fandom. I wanted to ask you a few questions about your writing process:
What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)
What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?
How do you find new fic to read?
Who do you read?
How do you decide what to write?
Are there any tropes you dislike?
What's your favorite AU that you've written?
What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it?
If you wrote a sequel to [insert fic], what would it involve?
If you wrote a spin-off of [insert fic], what would it involve?
If you wrote a prequel to [insert fic], what would it involve?
f you wrote a “missing scene” in [insert fic], what would it be?
What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write?
Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue?
How long did it take to write [insert fic]? Describe the process.
Does anyone read your fics before you post them? If so, who?
Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter?
What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life?
Do you visualize what you read/write?
Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?
Did any of your fics get surprisingly popular (whatever that means to you)? Which ones? Why do you think they were so successful?
Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person?
Link a fic that made you think, "Wow, I want to write like that."
Have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for whatever reason?
What's something you've improved on since you started writing fic?
Do you prefer writing on your phone or on a computer (or something else)? Do you think where you write affects the way you write?
What's the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it!
Aww, nonnie. 🥲 Thank you so much! And Happy New Year to you too!! 🥂 I hope I answered these okay. LOL.
What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?) Oh man, that's hard. I'd say Secret Sessions for canon-related, and IDBTWY or Accidental Chemistry for modern.
What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics? Probably slow burn. And pregnancy AU. I know it's not everyone's favorite, but I always end up writing Elriel pregnant. LMAO.
How do you find new fic to read? Frankly, since I've stopped writing, I've been devouring fanfic. I hit up AO3 nearly every day to see if there's anything new. And I have this logic that if I subscribe to a crap ton of fics, I'll hopefully get an update to at least one of them weekly. It's not a flawless system but I get the most out of it.
Who do you read? I honestly read everybody as long as I am confident that Elriel is endgame. I will side-eye anything that as El*cien or Gw*nriel as a potential pairing and will skim first to ensure I'll be able to make it through the story. But I have my go-to's like @nikethestatue and @dottielovegood (amongst many others), and I've found some newbies (or new to me) on AO3 and have been devouring their fics. A few that come to mind are @jasmineandcedar and @merakimoonglade but there are many more.
How do you decide what to write? Through utter chaos that is my brain. Sometimes I'll see little things on Insta or Pinterest that'll spark ideas while others will just kind of hit me out of nowhere. Kind of like this feral Az/Elriel miscarriage that's been floating around in my brain for weeks.
Are there any tropes you dislike? I am over the girlboss warrior trope. There's so much of that written that it's just boring to me. I also hate the cheating trope. I just can't read those.
What's your favorite AU that you've written? Honestly, that's hard. IDBTWY has a very special place in my heart, but Secret Sessions might be the best writing I've ever done. I'm also a sucker for Accidental Chemistry too.
What highly specific AU do you want to read or write even though you might be the only person to appreciate it? Probably that feral Az/Elriel miscarriage I mentioned above. It'd be very angsty and heartbreaking but so delicious. Oh! I also have this Archeron-witch AU that's been wracking my brain forever that's based on The Originals. I have a few scenes of it written but just couldn't get into the right headspace to bust it out completely.
If you wrote a sequel to [insert fic], what would it involve? Hmm. Secret Sessions deserves an epilogue and I did start to write one a long time ago. But the idea sputtered out and I never got more than a page written. Also, my fic Queen of Monsters would definitely benefit from a sequel but I'm just going to leave that one alone.
If you wrote a spin-off of [insert fic], what would it involve? I could see writing a spin-off for IDBTWY for each of the other siblings tbh. I have no idea what those stories would include, but I think it's the best setup for any sort of spin-off. Or maybe a next-gen for IDBTWY. I have thought of things for the kids if that ever came to pass.
If you wrote a prequel to [insert fic], what would it involve? Frenemies would probably benefit from a prequel. You very much jump right into the mess but elaborating on how Elain and Az worked together before they fucked would've been interesting.
If you wrote a “missing scene” in [insert fic], what would it be? Lucien realizing the bond is broken in Secret Sessions. I had so many people ask about what he felt and if the bond was gone and I just left it up to interpretation.
What other websites or resources do you use most often when you write? I honestly don't use a lot of resources when I write. I Google things when I need to do some research and I have Grammarly to assist with the grammar side of things (which is far from perfect), but other than that, I really don't have much else. Big fics get inspo boards on Pinterest though.
Would you rather write a fic that had no dialogue or one that was only dialogue? No dialogue. There are some really amazing writers in this fandom that can invoke such an intense emotional response from readers simply by describing the scene without having the characters speak at all. I feel like both @dottielovegood and @violetasteracademic are exceptional at this. I would love to be able to do this as well as them.
How long did it take to write [insert fic]? Describe the process. IDBTWY took four years and it was chaos. I didn't really have an outline that went further than chapter 7 until I was well into the 20s and finally outlined the remaining 15 chapters. Do not recommend at all. I'm honestly surprised how much I was able to loop back in later on in the fic despite my unorganization of it. @nikethestatue can tell you I often went to her and asked if something occurred in my fic because I couldn't even remember. LOL.
Does anyone read your fics before you post them? If so, who? No, I don't have a beta reader and I probably should. I do give out snippets to friends though, but mostly to be a tease.
Have you ever written something that was out of your comfort zone? If so, what was it, and how did it affect your approach to writing fic thereafter? LMAO. Unholy (my Azriel priest fic) was so far outside my comfort zone. Not just because I'm not religious and likely wrote phrases and scenes that didn't make sense to the setting, but just the idea of having Azriel as a priest fuck Elain on the goddamn altar of the church. Good lord, I blushed writing it and I blushed reading it even to this day. I honestly haven't written anything since this, but I think it helped me to push through my mental barriers of writing something so outrageous.
What aspects of your writing are inspired by/taken from your real life? I know I've said this a few times, but Accidental Chemistry is loosely based on my best friend. Some of the things Elain experienced happened with her and the fic honestly hit home because of the close, personal ties. Also, Elain's obsession with creamer in every fic is my self-insert and you can't take that away from me. LOL.
Do you visualize what you read/write? Always. I often think of scenes when I'm laying in bed trying to sleep at night. I don't know if it helps put me to sleep or keeps me up because I'm constantly turning things over in my mind.
Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it? Who's Afraid of Little Old Me, my Tangled Retelling fic. I absolutely loved writing this one and doing the role reversal swap on Elain and Az was such an interesting story to write. It barely got any traction in comparison to others and I was honestly surprised by it.
Did any of your fics get surprisingly popular (whatever that means to you)? Which ones? Why do you think they were so successful? IDBTWY became fairly popular tbh, likely because the fandom was wildly engaged at the time when I first started writing it. But A Surprise Bun got more popularity than I thought it would. Enough so that I wrote two extra parts for it (technically three since it was originally intended to be a one-shot). I loved writing the dynamic between Elriel and Cassian.
Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person? I'm a heavy rereader. I will go back and reread specific scenes, entire series, etc. Don't threaten me with a good time.
Link a fic that made you think, "Wow, I want to write like that." There are so many creative writers out there and I know that I'm missing a lot, but @impossiblescissorspeachpaper, @merakimoonglade, and @violetasteracademic have incredible prose and dialect in their writing. I am envious of their talent. Truly.
Have you ever received a comment that particularly stood out to you for whatever reason? I've received such amazing comments from readers and I treasure every single one. But there's been a handful of times where somebody has said that my fic was the first they read in the acotar fandom, or that it's their favorite ever, or that they were so invested in it even though they don't ship Elain and Azriel...and just reading those comments makes me feel so valued. To say that about my writing is such an honor.
What's something you've improved on since you started writing fic? I think my style of writing has definitely improved since I started. If you compare the first part of Across the Hallway (my very first fic) to my most recent ones, especially ones like Wildest Dreams or even my A Hundred Lifetimes, A Hundred Worlds, I'd Choose You series, you can definitely see the difference in my writing.
Do you prefer writing on your phone or on a computer (or something else)? Do you think where you write affects the way you write? I'm a laptop writer. If I write on my phone, I'll note it because it will likely have more errors. I've only written two fics on my phone tbh. My "fast phone fics."
What's the last fic you read? Do you recommend it? I read Wonderstruck by @mirrorballpages and it is phenomenal. Highly, highly recommend it.
What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if you’re up for it! Oh man. I've got wips for Accidental Chemistry, this Italy-based heartbreaker that will likely never be published. I've got pieces of a post-acosf fic that will never see the light of day. Random scenes for that witch AU. I haven't been writing fic since Elriel Month, tbh. I've been more focused on my IDBTWY rewrite for publishing. But... I suppose if I do end up writing fic again, it'll be Accidental Chemistry. So here's an unedited snippet of it.
It was something he noticed the other night when he cradled the boy to his chest, promptly getting him to finally settle enough to fall asleep. He wasn’t sure if it was the sound of his heartbeat or the warmth of his skin or the deep sound of his voice as he softly sang a lullaby his mother used to hum to him or a combination thereof, but Oliver always seemed content in his arms.

Modern Day AU
I spent a moment to think what everyone would be up to in a modern day AU.
Astarion: He was pre-law when he got caught up with Cazador. It's less a vampire spawn situation and a more straightforward abuse situation. I think in the AU he was also much younger when Cazador found him. Once he breaks free of Cazador, he might go back into law. He'd end up in therapy and he'd probably have to take a step back to re-evaluate what he wants in life.
Gale: Of course he's a professor. With magic off the table in this particular AU, he'd probably teach as many subjects as they'd let him. Students would constantly have deja vu seeing him in so many classes. He'd be teaching somewhere like Cambridge or Oxford. The subjects that came to mind were English, History of Art, Linguistics, Philosophy, and for reasons I can't explain, German.
Shadowheart: Her ass would be in a cult. She was kidnapped into some kind of Gloriavale situation as a kid. She'd eventually get a taste of freedom and leave the cult for good, especially if a Tav comes her way. Then she'd write a tell-all book and do a lot of Ted Talks about it. As she got older, she'd become more reclusive. She'd write books from her little countryside house full of animals.
Halsin: Halsin would still be a tree-hugging hippy. He'd have an environmentalism related job, like wind turbine technician, environmental technician, or solar installer. (I imagine he'd want something very hands on.) He'd 100% be part of a nudist colony. He'd still be poly, and he'd be very choosey about who he lets into the polycule.
Lae'zel: She'd go to university where she'd be expanding her world. It would force her to unpack her unhealthy home life is. She was probably raised in a jingoistic family. After discovering the power of friendship and self-discovery, she'd make better choices for herself. She'd still be INCREDIBLY disciplined so I imagine she'd be an athlete. Either she'd do professional rugby or MMA. She might do pro wrestling. She wouldn't join the theatrics on purpose. They'd just tap into her natural persona for her character.
Karlach: She worked for Gortash before he made a name for himself in politics. I'm still trying to work out exactly what would happen to her. I imagine he framed her in this universe and she spent 10 years in prison instead of Avernus. Now she's out and wants revenge... but also would love to get her life back. Possibly she has a chronic illness that, if untreated, could kill her. It's not a 1-to-1 for her heart situation, but close.
Jaheira: She refuses to ever retire from her work. She's been a part of almost every humanitarian world org that'll have her, like The Peace Corps. She now runs her own organization that travels the world for humanitarian efforts. She's a widow and she's still the mother to several adopted children.
Wyll: He was on track to make his father proud. He was going to Oxford to study politics until he realized how much he hated it. His father is the mayor of a major city. I'm hesitant to say London because it feels too obvious. Instead, Wyll drops out to pursue humanitarian work. This is where his path crosses with Jaheira as he joins her organization. His father just doesn't get it and they're at odds over it.
Minthara: Military brat who grew up to join the British Military. In her off time, she's in the BDSM scene.
Orin: She is either running a true crime podcast or being talked about on one. Either that or she's a CEO of a drug company a la The Fall of the House of Usher (2023).
Gortash: This dude is running as a Tory and you know it. He left a huge trail of problematic behavior on his Twitter. He made an anonymous Reddit account to post relationship problems on, but everyone figured out it was him almost immediately.
Barcus: This poor man is so tired. He never found his "dream" and he's been going from job to job for decades. After he starts to stand up for himself, he opens an online store based on all his interests and thrives.
I might do more later, but this is all I could think of for now.

20 questions for fic writers!
Thanks to @mycupofrum for tagging me!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
915, but only 426 of those are for HP >.<
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
2,340,018
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Harry Potter is the big one! Marvel is second (but idk how much longer that'll be true for since I don't like any of the recent stuff), and there's a bunch of little ones that I have WIP's for but don't finish much of
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
My top 5 aren't HP, so here are the top 5 that are for Harry Potter :D
It's Always Been You- James/Sirius, 2k Teen
Mister Potter, I Presume?- James/Sirius, 900 Gen (this is the first fic I wrote for the imagines blog!)
Moving Seats- James/Sirius, 2.4k Teen
In Hospital- James Potter/Harry Potter, 3k Explicit (this used to be my highest kudos fic for years lol)
Five People, Two Relationships- James/Sirius, 3.6k Teen
5. Do you respond to comments?
Yes! ...most of the time. Every so often, I'll leave a note on a fic specifying that I'm not going to write anything else for it but someone will leave a comment asking for more-- I don't always feel like responding to those :/
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
They're both James/Sirius: either I Know You which is canon-compliant, or Should Have Been Me where Sirius was the secret-keeper, got killed, and James is the one to find his body :(
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Oh geez I write so much fluff I'm not sure I can narrow that down. Throw a dart and you can hit a fic with a happy ending
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I do sometimes, but I delete those comments when I get them, so I tend to forget about them until it's brought up in conversation lol
9. Do you write smut?
Yes
10. Do you write crossovers?
Yes-- though I didn't used to
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
No, and I hope it stays that way
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, and it makes me grin every time
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes, and I'm not sure it's for me-- so stressful to try and keep up so the other author isn't waiting on me
14. What's your all-time favourite ship?
James/Sirius!!! I love them! They made me into a fanfic writer!
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
Can't Help Falling In Love-- it's an unpublished, modern soulmate AU for James and Sirius. It's not an instant happy relationship once they figure out they're soulmates, which is why it's so hard for me
16. What are your writing strengths?
Fluff!
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Angst T.T i do my best but it's haaaard
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I only know one language, so it's a stylistic choice that I am not a fan of :/
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter! Like I said earlier, wanting more James/Sirius made me a fanfic writer :D
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
Oh geez. Probably The Old Best Mate because who doesn't love a fic where someone comes back to life?
This was so much fun! All the names that immediately come to mind for who to tag have already been tagged, so this is just an open tag for anyone who wants to do it. Have fun! :D

Tag game from @amoxilwrites
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
10 all for DSMP
2. What's your total AO3 word count?
162,320 (oml that's a lot)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Just DSMP rn
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1) in the doorway with you a zombie!george dnf fic based on mushie's apocalypse AU
2) perpetuam memoriam king!george/assassin!dream au
3) The Divine Right DSMP canon-divergent platonic dnf fic where c!George rescues c!Dream with the help of DreamXD (this action has consequences)
4) the crown, the shadow the prequel to "perpetuam memorial"
5) Communion a sequel to "in the doorway with you"
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes! I love answering comments especially if a reader has a question. I'm happy to talk about my fics or characterizations with others. I've made some good friends this way :)
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Hmm well I'd say some of the ones I'm writing now have angstier endings, but of those I have published it's probably "The Divine Right" simply because of how long the fic is. (SPOILERS) It's about losing what you thought you had regained and coming to grips with the truth that the person you knew is no longer what they once were.
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
The End post DSMP finale fic where DreamXD saves c!George from the nuke
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Nope. I have yet to get any real hate comments lol.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
So far, no. I've written short snippets of hypothetical scenarios which @amoxilwrites has enjoyed lol. But if I ever publish any, it'll be very character/plot driven. I want the smut to have meaning and give a look inside who the characters are or progress the story somehow—I just find it more engaging that way.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
Nope.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
Yes, back on an old account for the Hannigram fandom.
14. What's your all-time favourite ship
Oof of all time? As much as I love DNF, nothing will compare to Destiel (sorry gamers lol)
15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
Hmm now that depends on what you consider a wip XD I have many planned/brainstormed but of the ones I've actually started writing I think I can finish them all, it'll just take a long while.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Atmosphere/description (I love setting the tone), metaphors, and dialogue
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I can't write pure fluff/happiness for the life of me. I can only write happiness in the contrast of sadness. I also struggle with modern settings as my dialogue tends to lean towards poeticness more than realism. Too many metaphors. Whenever I edit, I always try to cut down my metaphors to one at a time instead of a bunch of wordiness that'll tire out a reader.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I've done it with Enokian from Supernatural which was very painful given that it's not a complete language and the translators that exist aren't always accurate. So it was a lot of coming up with multiple ways to say a sentence until one was translatable. I also translate Latin pretty often (even now for "perpetuam memoriam") I'll never claim that it's accurate but I do often double check what I want to say through multiple translators before the final draft.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Technically Harry Potter, but I first posted fics for Supernatural
20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
I'm really happy with how "perpetuam memoriam" is going so far but of those that are complete I'd say "Communion". I really enjoy capturing a morally grey character whose logic is different from the norm in order to rationalize their life; how they can be vicious and kind.
oh gosh i feel like a dsmpblr noobie what other writers do i know well enough to tag *sweats* I think I'll just leave this open to whoever wants to join :D that way I can get to know yall better and can tag you next time lol

Hey there!
Some random questions for you to get to know you better! 😄
Do you like AUs (modern, pirates, vampires, etc)?
Show me (reblog) your fav Hylink and Zelink art (for all incarnations if you're feeling extra lol)!
A story that has stayed with you and why?
Do you binge longer fics or tag allowing while they're posted?
Feel free to ignore questions that are not your thing 😅
💕💕💕
Zelmo
hi zelmo! tysm for the ask & also happy zelink week! 1 - i LOVE aus so much! i don't read as much modern as i used to, but i'm a sucker for a good fantasy au, especially when there's lots of fun worldbuilding tidbits included. aus are my favorite to write too! i like trying to turn a world that already exists into another--it really sparks my creativity. 2 - i have so many favorite pieces of art that this might be difficult to do LOL but i'll try to queue some up with the tag #fav. maybe that'll cut through the amount of zelink week i'm about to reblog LOL 3 - i'm a lover of stories so there are SO many that i hold in my heart. i'm definitely one of those people where, when a story has touched me, it stays with me for a long time. it's hard to pinpoint just one, but i'll say the chronicles of narnia because that's the first to come to mind and probably the first story to ever really HIT. i read them all in the span of a week when i was younger and i think that was the first book series where i bawled my eyes out at the end. even that young, the themes of growing up and life and forgiveness and faith and having courage just really hit me, and i felt so connected to all of the characters. i know i didn't understand it all then as i'm able to now, but it still does something to me when i think about it. i don't know if that answers this question but yeah LOL 4 - it depends on the fic and what kind of mood i'm in! if i'm in the mood for something long, i tend to look for completed works or longshots that i can devour in one sitting. i'm a very impatient person when it comes to stories (i can't stand being left on a cliffhanger, i always need to know what happens next!), however, if a story sounds interesting enough, i'll follow along as it updates!

ooo, thanks for the tag @moodymelanist! 💕💕💕
I'm sorry y'all, I'm way too verbose...
1. How many do you have on Ao3? 27 (though one is literally 100 words 😂 )
2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 172,527 (😱 I had no idea! And all since March! May need to keep it tracked and do a 200k celebration.)
3. How many fandoms have you written for and what are they? Technically four: ACOTAR, Throne of Glass, Crescent City, and Harry Potter - but for Harry Potter it's one, and it's 100 words. 👀
4. What are your top 5 five by kudos?
It Would've Been So Right - 230
Dinner Dances - 100
You're Mine to Mark - 99
Don't Forget Your Orgasm - 98
Did You Know You Have a Freckle? - 70
5. Do you respond to comments, why or why not? I try to! I've definitely not been responding as quickly lately, and then they start to build up, but I do get to them when I can. It's just so heartwarming to me when someone leaves a comment, I want them to know I see it and appreciate it!
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Can't say any have truly angsty endings...I guess maybe Costume Changes and Dinner Dances are kinda angsty endings, and would count cause they're short story fics in a chronicle of short stories that all tell a larger one. My angstiest fic point blank is How Could They Not? - and where it was left off is soooo angsty. But it's not the end of that fic. And I don't see me ever fully ending anything angsty...maybe one day, never know, we writers are evil creatures.
7. Do you write crossovers? Not yet. 👀 I may have some plans that may or may not bring characters from the different SJM worlds together. Hopefully seamlessly enough that people will enjoy, but all modern au. I don't see me writing characters in another book's world.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic? I haven't, thankfully!
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind? Yes. As for kind, I don't really know. Typically it's people who care for each other strongly in some way, though it's not always stated...sometimes blatantly ignored (Nesta! 🙄)...pretty sure hate/during an argument sex will happen. lol
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of! Fingers crossed it doesn't happen. Not gonna pretend Morgan's story doesn't scare me a bit, esp. considering I know my Christmas fic is fucking precious. (She said so, thus it's fact. 👀 ) But, you know, I'll just cross my toes while I'm typing...😬
11. Have you ever had a fic translated? No.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but definitely open and interested in trying if it makes sense, or is something that I was brainstorming with someone else.
13. What is your all time favorite ship? Admittedly, if I had to pick one OTP and only one, it would probably be Fitz-Simmons from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In terms of writing, def Nessian, and then actually Rowaelin. I love Lysaedion a bit more (cause I knew Rowaelin would happen from the start), but I think I prefer writing Rowaelin cause they're easier. 😂 I'll never write Fitz-Simmons, I don't see how I could ever do them justice.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? So many. I'm really hopeful that I'll do my next gen ACTOAR ones. Daughter of Illyria I'm more worried I'll never get planned enough to fully write, but Daughter of Autumn is the one I think I'm more likely to never finish. That, or my Eris/OC fic. But I have so many half-planned WIPs, I'm sure too many won't ever make it to AO3.
15. What are your writing strengths? I think characterization? Character's voices and showing who the character is. I'm also very good world building. Creating new/reimagined beings, the land they live in, new powers, etc - but that's something y'all haven't seen cause I've saved it for my next gen ACOTARs and my original novel idea. And I can do lovely descriptions, when I remember to include them. Also, one liners - not always the best at full banter, but I can give a character a one liner that'll knock you out.
16. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot, character arcs, the general journey. You know, nothing crucial to a story. 👀 But I'm working on it! It just doesn't come natural to me. 😭 Like, I can come up with a general story, but the plot intricacies and having a climax that's a true climax is what's hard. It's why my original novel is 7 years in the making and the writing hasn't even started.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I only speak English, and I refuse to use google translate for this. If I know someone who can do a proper translation for me, I'll go with that. Like how @angelic-voice-1997 gave me the "What the fuck?" translation for Brazilian Portuguese (Caralho!). Other than that, I'll say it in English and explain what language it's said in. Plus, unless it is a statement that can be figured out with context clues, I don't want to put it in another language other than the language the fic is being written in, because I shouldn't expect my readers to know another language other than the one they're willing reading something in.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Probably Harry Potter, but never posted. I wrote a lot in high school, and I think I started with that? Or House of Night? IDK, but I def wrote in those two, Twilight, and The Mighty Ducks back then... none posted. As for first fandom I posted - that would be Crescent City, which I started back in March.
19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written? Ughhhh...in terms of what I've posted, for now, I'd generally say Did You Know You Have a Freckle? Cause it was written in a slightly different style, but I kinda think I nailed what I was going for. And It Would've Been So Right, being my first, has a special place in my heart, because it gave me the courage to do more and come to tumblr and immerse myself in this community. But, honestly, nothing fully stands out. I'm hoping some of my future stuff will stand out to me more, now that I'm getting more used to writing fics and everything.
