(This probably sounds really dumb, but I’m glad that S2CA still has backfire on Hibiki. She used it in the current event and sometimes I be wondering that Symphogear be taking out the consequences of what it actually does (or things in general).

She does it multiple times in G, where the pain is obvious (and dangerous).

She does it in GX and AXZ, but I think the strain was better because they had Maria there to distribute it between everyone instead of Hibiki taking it within herself (as she said, though Hibiki suggested it before Maria said this but Tsubasa was like “your body can’t handle the strain”).

So in this AU Chris/Tsubasa event, AU Tsubasa tries using her Zesshou but Hibiki quickly sings her own to counter it and then normal Chris and Tsubasa sing as well, which allows Hibiki to use S2CA and distribute the power on their enemy instead so they won’t face the backlash. BUT because of that, it was clear that Hibiki suffered some backlash herself since she seemed to keep having issues (based on dialogue).

And, this is totally random and probably not that important I know but...considering how powerful the Gears are and can be, I’m just glad that they aren’t ALL POWERFUL and whatnot.)
