why do you hate Leave the City?

im like 98% sure i know what the answer is because of how I feel about it but im curious what your exact take is on it and exactly why

I don't hate it! I don't I don't

I just can't listen to it. It puts me in a bad headspace. Feels too familiar. I think some headspaces are good to linger on so you can get through them, hit the bottom of them, and give them to the Lord. But I think other headspace's don't need lingering in, because the answer to them is simple, and the longer I linger, the more of a taste for that headspace-in-spite-of-the-answer, the more of a taste for ignoring the answer in favor of wallowing in my incorrect feelings, I cultivate in myself.

"I'm tired of tending to this fire," is the big thing. The idea is that I can stop tending to it because there's nothing left to feed it, and then it'll go out. As if it's all up to me to keep it burning, and when I fail, I fail forever.

And that is how it feels. Sometimes.

But it's not true, because I have Christ. So that headspace doesn't get air. It's too dangerous, for me, to give it air. Maybe someday I can give it air the way I give Addict With a Pen's headspace air.

But then again, Addict With a Pen ends in a Romans 7/8 cry for help to God, which is the only useful thing about where that headspace leads you. Leave the City ends with looking out at other humans who share your headspace for help. And there's no help for me in "misery loves company."

Batman is about to really wail into some guy when all of a sudden his legs leave the ground and he hears a “tsk tsk tsk” from behind him. “Come on man arent you like the worlds greatest detective? This guy is just trying ti save his kid” ok well he is The Batman so all of a sudden it clicks and hes lowkey grateful for whoever stopping him but also whost the funk. Danny dips the moment he realises The Big Bad Bat is on the same page.

The Flash is just trying to get his coffee or something and all of a sudden hes stopped, mid running, and lifted up. “Hey listen dude you can’t keep doing this. Do you know how much trouble you cause using your speed like this?”

He doesn’t scruff Wonder Woman but some dude trying to hit on her. Not like she couldn’t haven’t it herself but Danny is a big fan probably and wanted to look good in her eyes (?simp? Sam thinks so)

Cyborg is probably amazing by Danny and starts asking questions and is actually pretty hyped. (Idk the fandom forgets my cool cybro guy so im running on my childhood memory)

Superman’s got the power of flight but when Danny scruffs him all of a sudden hes bunching up like a little kitten.

LRB but I'm replaying BG3 and Gale being on the knife's edge of Wholesome/"Dirty" is what makes him soo interesting to me. Like this is a man who, in two different versions of the same scene, can either sweetly and gently make love to your tav in a typical setting which transitions to a tasteful fade-to-black, or brings your tav's spirit along for a transcendent experience where he literally duplicates part of himself so he can have more parts to touch their parts in some crazy astral-soup sky world. And both are treated like valid expressions of his love!! Like the range they allowed him to express, he's not one or the other, he's both

I think applying tropes commonly found in Sonadow fics to other sonic ships is very funny

Like today I saw the cute posts by Blu-ish about how hedgehogs circle and headbutt eachother when courting and how Sonic and Shadow would do that and I agree.

However I think the implication that mobian hedgehogs do this is HILARIOUS when applied to ships that only involve one hedgehog.

Like Silver starts circling around Espio one day and lightly shoving him with his hip or his shoulder and Espio is like: ???? What are you doing??

Or even Blazamy like- Amy keeps circling Blaze and the less Blaze reciprocates Amy does it more to try to get Blaze to react. Blaze eventually just tries to politely tell Amy to stop cause it’s hard to hold conversation while she’s moving all around.

But later Blaze talks to Silver and is like: “I have no idea what she is trying to do…perhaps she is finding a weakness in my stance? Should I fear her hunting me for sport???”

And Silver is like: uh. Well. I think she’s hitting on you? It’s a hedgehog thing.

And Blaze just freaks out because WHAT DO YOU MEAN AMY WAS FLIRTING WITH HER

Hey everyone! this is where the zebra is currently with the design.

It has knee braces!! I will most probably be drawing the zebra usually with them on, but it’s no requirement, for example if anyone else wants to draw the zebra :-]. I always like to make sure an animal design has official colors underneath any clothing and accessory anyway. I think this will be final! thank you everyone for your feedback!

As a reminder, aside from why the zebra was requested for this flag, this is also just a zebra with the disability pride flag on it. It’s just a deisgn to fit the flag, with input from other disabled people in our community. It doesn’t mean other animals can’t have designs with these colors, too! I don’t mean this design to be the only mascot for all disabled people. It’s just a silly series i do of pride animals, and at the time, during disability pride month, I wanted to see what everyone wanted me to start off with for this flag!

the goal with my pride animals is to take requests and make people feel happy and seen.. that’s all <:-)
