Alice in Wonderland ~ Who tends to fall asleep first?: I do, definitely. Gams is very keen on staying awake so that he can keep an eye out for any sorta dangers that could happen! That and… well… he doesn’t need to sleep, but I still try to encourage him to get at least some form of rest.

Lady and the Tramp ~ How have we changed over the course of our relationship?: Let’s see… I think Gamma’s started valuing his life a bit more. Not that he didn’t see himself as worthwhile, ‘cause he knows he’s important & will happily share that fact! But he used to be so content at the idea of throwing his life away for others; nowadays I think he’s more keen on living for others. He’s come to the understanding that he can’t keep protecting people if he’s dead, and I am eternally grateful for that 🙏.

As for me… it’s kinda hard for me to describe how I’ve changed. See, in most relationships, I’ve felt the need to be a giver rather than a receiver; it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing of course, but lately with him I’ve been getting more adjusted to the fact that I can be a receiver too. This man spoils me, a lot, and I always feel bad ‘cause I wanna repay him. But he denies that I have to; he wants to spoil me and he enjoys doing it, so I can just relax. It’s definitely not as drastic as a change as his, but it’s a change I suppose, lolol.

…I mean, I absolutely still get him back, but I feel less bad when I can’t, ya know?

1 | How do they fall asleep? Wake up? Any daily rituals?

It's mandatory that they sleep so close that they share their body warmth—or in Charon's case, body chilliness. Usually, Gail will have their head on his shoulder or chest, nuzzled close enough to hear his heartbeat, and Charon will hold them tight in one arm while the other hand is tangled in their frizzy hair. And they often wake up exactly like that; neither are big movers in their sleep.

Both are big on routine, so they have bedtime and morning ones that they abide by like clockwork. Mostly, it's tiny displays of affection like soft kisses and mumbled pillow talk. Granted they don't conk out, Gail will read to Charon until he dozes off, especially on his rougher nights.

2 | How’s their team work? Do they share well?

Surprisingly, they compliment each other very well in the thick of combat; Gail picks from afar while Charon pressures from medium to close range. They have an intricate nonverbal system of communication they use both on and off the field and a dynamic that startles people with how in-tune it is—unexpected from a meek vault dweller and a large ghoul bodyguard.

5 | Nicknames? Pet names? Any in-jokes?

Gail doesn't have many for him, as most make Charon uncomfortable. The one he doesn't mind from their lips is "bear", especially when it's uttered in that mousy tone in the privacy of their own home.

Charon also is sparse with his pet names for Gail largely due to just... not having circumstance to give any. They break that mold, though, and he (unconsciously) turns to his native tongue to provide. His trademarks are "pchelka" [little bee] and "mysha" [mouse].

7 | What annoys them the most about their partner? Would they change it if they could?

For Gail, it's Charon's stubbornness, which he inadvertently disguises as simply "doing his duty." He's often insistent that he take the brunt of things, that he stays awake for watch all through the night even in their home. And it still grinds their gears; they would do anything to make him cozy enough to actually rest more often.

Charon's gripe is similar in nature; he hates how much Gail works. Often, they will be up until the wee hours of the morning studying, researching, writing, working... and Charon has to drag them to bed.

For both, though, they wouldn't change anything about it. It's a part of what brings them closer, strengthens their relationship, makes them who they are.

12 | Is there a wedding? What was the proposal like? Any kind of honeymoon?

Not an official one, no. They play everything by ear and what feels right because neither have any right idea how it even works, frankly; Gail only knows of the idea of it from the few they witnessed in the vault.

Charon does propose... in his own... weird way. It's blunt and efficient—as Charon always is. A heartfelt statement that he "wishes not to serve anyone else" and a ring he'd crafted with his own hands, all sealed with a kiss that's oddly passionate from a man as walled off as he is. Though there wasn't any bowing to a knee or Gail excitedly screaming "yes", it was a proposal all the same, and Gail readily accepted it with a beaming smile and waterlogged eyes.

They didn't purposely go on a honeymoon—again, them not knowing of that practice at all—but they do go on one without meaning to. It started as a trip to check in on the ghouls at Tenpenny Tower, and Roy insisted the two stay a bit in the penthouse suite, especially after seeing the ring sat around Gail's neck—"Enjoy a weekend to yourselves for once, you love birds." It was an odd time of nothing happening for the two that they didn't know they needed.

I honestly write for myself cause I started writing for therapy reasons, not in a show my therapist later way- just in a not letting me many thoughts consume me kind of way, I struggle posting things because I probably wrote it out a bad experience that I needed to process (or a good one sometimes!) and it's so vulnerable but I want to have Someone to show it to too. how do people do it we are in like opposite extremes but at the end of the day all kinds of writers both fear and want to be perceived so bad... mortifying ordeal indeed

EXACTLY THO YOU GET IT ANON 😭😭😭 I also did do a lot of writing to vent in the past, and even now with like fanfics and stuff it’s a good way to process things. It’s just finding the courage to share your stuff when you’re surrounded by so many other people who are better, it does feel vulnerable, especially when you know you’ve poured your heart into something and to have no one see that or notice it sucks honestly. At that point, I always wondered “why even bother lol” because it was hard for me personally to process even doing something for myself in general (and it still is rip)

-that being said, this man would NEVER admit to it but he’s bought like 5 parenting books that he all but knows by heart. He’ll read them when you fall asleep, his old man glasses low on his nose as he does.

-he’s also been writing letters to your future child as the pregnancy goes on, one per month. “I don’t know what your name is yet, kid, but your mom and I can’t wait to meet you.” And it’s in his precious old man cursive and I can guarantee you that when you see it you’ll be crying for seven hours

-he loves brainstorming names with you. I personally see him as a girl dad and wanting a girl, but he’s still thinking of any and all possibilities. And he’s still gonna love it to death if it’s a boy, don’t you worry about him

-but because he’s so old so many of the names he picks are somewhat dated, and it’s ADORABLE. Ulysses, Ethel, Martha, etc.

-he’s been insistent on doing basically everything- the cooking, the cleaning, the building of the baby furniture. Except he usually needs your help, or for you to throw some seasoning on the food behind his back. But he doesn’t want his pretty baby with his baby to have to lift a single finger

-ESPECIALLY in the bedroom. This mf… he believes every single myth he sees on the internet, so he’s SUPER gentle and will always wear a condom, both of which are unheard of prior to your pregnancy.

-which is SUCH a switch from how he was while you guys were trying for a baby…

-see, Logan’s always had this raging breeding kink.

-so after many serious conversations leading into the decision that the both of you wanted to try for a kid…

-let’s just say Logan was more than ready

-the amount of money that had to go into sheets during this period was actually crazy

-look, Logan always fucks

-but when he was able to let his breeding kink take control, he was absolutely feral

-the moment you would get home from work he would pounce on you, ripping off your clothes before you even had a second to say hello

-he’s gets so cuddly and it’s absolutely adorable. He’s always been one to lay his head on your lap of snuggle into you but now?? He’s always pulling you into his lap, his hand is always on your belly

-he loves how soft and squishy you’re becoming, especially your thighs and your breasts

-when you’re achey he’s quick to massage you, when you’re feeling sick he’s right there to hold your hair

-did I mention the cooking? Listen this man is really bad at cooking but he’s trying so hard with Martha Stewart and Gordon Ramsey videos. You can hear him calling himself an idiot sandwich when he fucks up, and it’s hilarious. Meanwhile you’ll be on the couch with one of your pregnancy cravings foods, pad thai with curry from two restaurants from two separate parts of town. Yes, Logan went and got it for you. 🥹

-he literally gets anything you want too, he’s wrapped around your finger. A miniverse, marshmallows and pickles? He’s got you. That very specific lip gloss that tastes really good? Done. Literally anything you want he’s getting it without question.

-he even watches whatever you want with minimal complaint

-he’s also already spoiling the child and it hasn’t even been born yet, the nursery has everything you can imagine. Toys, books, stuffed animals, games, legos, wall decor, literally everything

-and you guys don’t even know the gender so you both just threw a dart at a color wheel and themed the room after whatever color it ended on

-he wants to give this kid the life he never had, and there’s no doubt he will

-Logan Howlett is going to be a wonderful father, and he’s so excited to love on your child just as much as he loves on you
