Anon I thank you for bringing this blog to me: as of yet i cant confirm this person is a scammer, & their self described "middle class" thing miiight be a case of someone just THINKING they're middle class but they're more working class/poor, or it might not.

I actually somewhat recognized their url but I couldn't remember from where, but then I realized I had this person blocked already, presumably due to them frequently rbing from wiisagi-maiingan, who's a proshitter themselves & a pedophile apologist. But then I also thought they seemed familiar and had to go looking for snother url, and I literally think this fucking person made ANOTHER BLOG so that they could rb shit from me. So they know that I don't like interacting with proshitters, that I blocked them on their OTHER blog, and then proceeded to fucking following me from not one but TWO other blogs of theirs so they could interaft with my edits and content. What the fuck.

22- In A Rush Of Adrenaline

(my mind immediately went to first contact/the lost tribe- specifically them sabotaging the ship- so that's what i wrote)

She knew Ronon was right.

She knew that getting weapons and fighting the Wraith was the best chance of taking back the Daedalus. The problem was, Jennifer wasn't sure she had what it took. As bad as the Wraith were, she wasn't sure she had it in her to kill anything.

They didn't have time to argue about it. Ronon was running through the halls to the armoury and it was all Jennifer could do to follow after him.

"Ronon, wait a second!" She called after him, her heart pounding. She needed to buy them more time, buy Ronon more time. She could turn herself in to Todd, and buy him the time he needs to kill the Wraith, but first...

He stopped and turned back, the frustration evident on his face.

"Jennifer, we don't have time to argue-"

"I know, I know, just- in case this doesn't work," she said quickly, then reached up and pulled him towards her, kissing him hard and fast. She tried her hardest to pour everything she was feeling- excitement, fear, attraction, anxiety, adrenaline, anticipation- into the kiss, and after only a second his arms were wrapping around her, pulling her close, deepening the kiss.

When they pulled away, they stared at each other for a moment, smiling.

"What was that for?" Ronon asked, resting his chin against the top of Jennifer's head. She hugged him tightly.

"For good luck," she whispered, pulling away to smile up at him. He smiled back, and Jennifer shoved him back as hard as she could. He stumbled back a foot, staring at her in shock as she closed the bulkhead door between them.

Now to buy him some time.

1. Do you have a word-count goal for the upcoming year?

Not for the year, but I'm going to try to set a fairly attainable goal for updating/posting SOMETHING (fic wise) at least once a month, to keep the momentum up!

8. Is there a story idea in your mental vault that you’ve never been brave enough to try writing? Is this the year? Can you tell us about it?

So...sorta. There's 2. One is the I've talked about the Xichen in Guanyin Temple Time Loop fic that fascinates me. It just requires a lot of planning (at least vs what I normally do). A lot of times, my story lines sort of write themselves after I've futzed around in them for a chapter or two, or, sometimes the broader arc of it just sort of pops out of nowhere. With timeloops, tho, part of the narrative juiciness is the stuff that stays the same and how that changes because of context. Starting with Architect™ energy is daunting to my primarily (or at least, initially) Gardener™ brain, cause I want to do it justice! Plus I would need to figure out the ending 😂

The second is a post-canon JGY Survives Guanyin Temple AU from his POV I started back in 2020 fairly soon after I finished the show for the first time. I think it was the 3rd fic I started planning for this fandom ever? It's a lot darker than a lot of the other stuff I've written and I want to be sure I can write him in a...realistic way? I deal so much with AU's and Fix-Its before everything truly goes down the drain for him re:Qin Su marriage, JGSs murder, and A-Song's murder, 3 instances where I really think something in him just broke. I haven't dealt much with that JGY and so I want to do him justice and write him as jagged and savage as he is but still make him make sense as himself, you know?

But basically, Xichen says that the Lan will take responsibility for him and he locks him up 🙃 And then goes into seclusion. Which, y'know. Parallels. I go into how that mentally fucks with both of them, how that reconciling/healing(?ish?) process is for both of them, how they have both changed, to each other and to who they were before.

Gingko: The thing that's stuck around since the beginning is the original concept, and I remember exactly how it came to me. I was carpooling home from work with my dad when we both worked downtown, and it was a windy early autumn night with these leaves kind of dancing in the road in front of us. I started imagining people who were bonded to nature sprites in the same way other fantasy characters might have animal companions. So something like a storm cloud or a bit of leaves dancing in the breeze or little vines that would follow you around, etc. And then in Promise's case hers still has the form of an animal companion because Tavi 😂🐗

Paper Birch: I'm so happy I got this one because birches are Promise's favorite. But I wouldn't say she's a very complex, layered character. She's pretty characteristically straightforward. What you see is what you get. The character with the most layers to peel back is probably Nissa. You could get any number of faces on the surface before you get to Nissa the con artist, and then peel that back and you have Nissa the Worst Sorcerer who prefers to rely on her charms because she doesn't trust her magic, and then peel that back to Nissa the problem child, Nissa who values her freedom above all, and so on. And you probably won't ever peel back all the layers because she doesn't let people get to know her fully what would be the fun in that?

Cottonwood: Without a doubt, the event that leaves the biggest ripples is whatever the fuck happened on the first expedition to Trialar. It's led to the environmental disasters that are becoming so common now, to the reign of Wyros, the god of corruption, and it put several influential characters in their positions of power. Unfortunately, Promise and Del don't know what it is that happened and are having a hard time finding people who are willing to tell them.
