Since Vin Diesel wants to bring in Robert Downey, Jr. for the final “Fast and Furious” movie, I have an idea.
In the big, dramatic trailer for Fast 11 (or 12 depending if Diesel makes another movie since Universal requested it), we see RDJ playing this Elon Musk-type supervillain. He starts saying these vague villain lines, like, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for years. It’s time I finish what you and your people started. This time, Toretto, you won’t be so lucky.”
Tyrese says something like, “Damn man, this guy’s got drone cars and satellites that shoot laser beams! How the hell we supposed to fight him!”
Ludacris follows up with, “He said that he wants to finish what we started. Dom…who is this guy?”
We then get a flashback…to the FIRST movie. It’s then revealed, through the magic of CGI, that RDJ is playing the KJ truck driver who Dom and Letty tried to rob. It’s the guy who tried killing Vince with a shotgun after he jumped onto his truck.
In the years since the first movie, the truck driver eventually took over the company he was transporting goods for, which was all part of his master plan to finally kill Dom and his family once and for all.

Posted a fic for the first time in nearly an entire year! I've secretly been obsessed with Dom and Brian for the past, like, year and a half (I fully and totally blame astolat, who sucked me into the fandom with a single fic, her incredible Life Sentence).
Fandom: The Fast and the Furious Pairing: Dom Toretto/Brian O'Conner Words: Rating: Mature Content Notes: Drunk sex (implied) Summary: Sometime shortly before Race Wars, the Torettos throw a party and Vince makes sure his best friend doesn't fumble his play to seduce the pretty alpha who's been leading him around by the nose lately. Vince POV. Up to y'all if Brian's still a cop or if this is a more significant AU.
"Brian, there you are!" Dom crowed from his seat at the head of the table. "Get over here!" He was already several beers in, and it showed in his total lack of volume control and wide grin.
Brian grinned back the way he always did for Dom. Vince rolled his eyes. The two of them were ridiculous.
Brian made his way through the crowd to Dom. "Hey man, how's it going?" He held his hand out to Dom, but instead of shaking it Dom used the grip to pull Brian down into his lap instead. Brian's eyes went wide and startled as he tried to right himself, but Dom wrapped one thick arm around Brian's slim hips and he was trapped unless he wanted to start an actual brawl.
"Better, now that I've got you where I want you," Dom answered Brian's greeting, blithely ignoring Brian's shocked face and tense posture.
Brian blushed brilliantly, red spreading across his cheekbones to his ears and down his neck. Even that was a good look on Brian, and Dom was eyeing the collar of Brian's shirt like he wanted to get it off and see how far down Brian's chest that blush went. "Dom," Brian squirmed in Dom's grip and darted a quick look around at the rest of the crowd, "isn't this, I mean, won't people get… upset?" he finished weakly.
"Upset?" Dom scrunched his brow and looked back into Brian's face. "Why would anyone care?"
Brian looked surprised again and Dom started to frown.
"Brian," Vince cut in before Dom could go and get his feelings hurt, "this is not the first time Dom has spent the evening with a pretty alpha in his lap. If anyone was going to be upset by it, they would have stopped coming around here ages ago."
Keep Reading on AO3

I have the next chapter of The Faith and the Fighter almost done but all my betas have gone MIA and I”m just like herpderping around asking for betas. But apparently literally no one I know has kept up with TFATF 🫠
This fic is SO CLOSE to being done and then I can start working on Favorite Tune again and start my next planned fic. But I just feel incredibly stuck.

New The Fast and the Furious Fanfic
You always liked the first few Fast & Furious movies, but secretly thought they could use more werewolves? Then this is the fic for you.
You love found family and werewolves adopting everyone who stands still long enough, even though some of those people may have been hired to kill them? Then this is gonna be your jam.
You want some plot sprinkled in there that’s about on par with the franchise but with more family drama and urban fantasy vibes? Say no more.
You are itching for some hot porn and deeply intimate sex scenes? ...er. Well. Maybe not so much. But there’s an ace protagonist! And a cute coyote shifter couple! And plenty of UST, admittedly heavy on the U!
If that sounds good to you, you might wanna check out my new Fast & Furious fanfic on AO3:
See You on the Flipside
Please Note: You gotta be logged in to read this. In order to avoid AI scraping, all my works have been set to be available to registered users only. I'm sorry about the inconvenience, but I've about had it with those stealing assholes.

If there is an avid fast and furious fandom I will never know bc what would be the main tag anyway. What would it be.
#the fast and the furious#is too much next no way ppl are typing that every time they wanna say michelle Rodriquez is i cant even think of a word to describe her but#i bet theres out there.#fast and furious#cant be that that is specifically the name of the fourth movie#tfatf#has fat in the middle dont think the crew with exactly 0% body fat between them would appreciate tbh#theres no good tag#but if i were to make a suggestion it would be torretto car party family

Guess who's back on her Fast & Furious bullshit.
Is the new movie good?
I mean, how do you define good? Did I have to suspend disbelief about a lot of things (gravity, friction, inertia, technology, projectiles, the towing capacity of a Dodge Charger, etc.)? Yes. Absolutely. 100% from about 20 minutes into the film.
Was it fun? Fuuuuuck yes.
Did it pass the found family vibe check? For sure. It referenced people I'd almost forgotten about. They pulled the original actors to play all of them. The movie even has a discussion with itself about how quickly and completely people still get pulled into Dom's orbit, which is a great bit.
There's some eyeroll inducing lines - there always are - but this iteration seems more aware of itself than past films, and the writing is better than 8 and 9. Even when someone says something worthy of a comic book font, it matches the tone of the scene. The action sequences are outrageous and the movie knows it. It's fine with it. We live in a world where the heroes discover a massive explosive in the back of their vehicle and nobody even says "WHAT?" This are roads we know.
It's fun. It's a greatest hits review of the good stuff from F&F. Charlize Theron is somehow better in this than she was when she first showed up in the franchise to chew the scenery. John Cena is, frankly, adorable in his role. And Jason Momoa's sheer chaos energy - this man has range. Over the years I've watched him go from Ronon Dex to Conan the Barbarian to Aquaman to Duncan Idaho, but I never expected Dante Reyes. There's so much personality in this character that it escapes into everything he's wearing and driving. Momoa's humor and comedic timing shines. Dante makes a Joker for Dom's Batman and his Justice League of associates, literally assembled out of DC and Marvel actors.
The plot is whatever. It mostly connects, even if it pushes past belief before the first half hour. Did you come here for the plot? This franchise? The one with the car chase against a submarine, against a tank, against a plane? The franchise where a shadowy agency airdrops muscle cars into a combat zone? Where our heroes drive a car out of one high rise and into an adjacent high rise? Where they launched a Fiero into space to ram a satellite and hitchhiked onto the ISS?
I stopped being here for the plot after Fast Five. Honestly I should have given up sooner but what can I say? I'm stubborn. I mean, for a movie where people chase cartoonish bombs through Roman fountains and back cars out of low-flying planes, it's ironic how ultimately safe and predictable the storyline is. But like... it's a pretty satisfying story. It's a bedtime story for a baby Toretto, where the good guys face impossible odds, get framed for something they didn't do, and have to fight their way out of corner after corner with ever-escalating stakes; but where love and community always saves the day, and nobody ever really dies.
So was it good? I feel like that's the wrong question. Was it what I wanted? Yeah. Things suck right now and this was a silly, feel-good treat for myself. It was fun to get dressed up in my Fast & Furious shirt and go to the theater. It reminded me of all the things I love about the franchise and better still, it owns the franchise from start to finish. It doesn't try to be anything else. The Fast & the Furious, Fast & Furious, and Fast Five are always going to be where my heart is. This touched on those vibes without dwelling too long on them. When it hurt, it was a good hurt, and then we got on with things.

DISRUPTION: TACTICS
The faggots never tire of fucking with the men's minds. Once all the faggots let their hair grow long, wore necklaces made of silver and shells and clothes of colorful, elaborate fabrics. They looked so stunning that the men over-looked their principles and began to look stunning also. When the men all looked like faggots, the faggots cut their hair, put on black leather and looked like the men used to look. The men were annoyed and pretended not to notice. Growing bored with basic black leather, the faggots began to elaborate. They wore black fish-net stockings and high heels with their black leather jackets. They carefully sewed imitation rhinestones all over their black leather pants. They wore feather boas as they rode their motorcycles through the devastated city. They wore flowing gold lame gowns and workboots with their short hair and dirty fingernails. They drank beer and swore, in velvet robes and furs. They sipped champagne and talked refined in paint-splattered blue denim. The men did not want to look at any of this. And when they had to, they became confused and petulant and unpleasant, which pleased the faggots.
-- The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions (1977), by Larry Mitchell, illustrated by Ned Asta.
Bolded body text is my emphasis, but I didn't want to cut any of those gorgeous descriptors out :)
the funniest thing about being gay is the way that displays of heterosexuality inevitably age into homosexuality. the women's parlour tea societies and pier-side strongmen of the 1900s. the patriotic rosie riveters and coiffed soldier boys of wartime. the A-line skirts and cat eye glasses and mutton chops and flares of the 70s. the camo minidresses and divine sisterhoods and lad on lad on lad culture of the 90s. it's ours now. the bikers and the sailors and the flappers and the beat poets and the hippies and the ladies maids. you parody yourselves to escape from us and we eat it for breakfast forever and ever amen.

the bad batch in the fear and the fire are everything to me. they know nothing but war they’ve never seen a battlefield in their lives they’re treated as objects and their existence is solely as commodities but also they are twelve. they don’t understand enough about the world to know why this is happening to them. they don’t know why their lives have to be so miserable. they don’t understand why everyone talks about them like they’re already dead.
#GAGHH#this is not abt the show#i took the characters and ran#bc the bad batch are a great concept if executed…not like that#lee chatters#tfatf

Finally posted a new chapter of The Faith and the Fighter after people asking and received so little feedback that I'm like tempted to abandon the whole story.
(I won't, but I have no motivation to write)
And don't tell me write for myself. I don't write for myself. I write because I like making other people happy. If I was doing something just to make me happy, I would do something for less time consuming.
