I really didn't expect this roleplaying blog to revive into a game, but I'm glad that it did! For those who don't know, YanChat used to be a roleplay blog with various yanderes that you could interact with, as if you were talking to them through a chat. Now repurposed, there are three characters that you can date, with two being out currently. If you are interested in this game, you can check out more at @yanchatremake for more updates.

The story starts out with the player (You) going home after a long day, thinking about how it's time to move on from your ex. Upon walking back, they find a flier about a chatroom called Yanchat and take interest in it. Once home, they log into the chatroom, and complain about how they can't get over their ex, when they get three comments on their post: one from Infern0 who suggests getting revenge on the ex, one from echo_echo, who suggests making them jealous and one from throwaway_acc who suggests just ignoring them. From this point, the player can now choose who to respond to.

Responding to Infern0 will allow the player to hang out with them to get revenge on the player's ex. They end up going to the suburbs where their ex's car is parked and vandalizes it in revenge. After talking with Infern0 and some of his hobbies, Infern0 stays back as he's forgotten his lighter while the player goes home. The next day, the player sees that the neighborhood where their ex is has been burnt down, and gets a text from Infern0. Depending on the relationship with him, different endings will occur.

With low affection, Infern0 confesses over text that he was the one who burnt down the ex's house. The player is panicking and angry, but Infern0 states that the player was the one who wanted this, that he did this for them. The game glitches out with the admin removing him from the app, thus causing the game to move outside when they first met. Infern0 confesses to the player in a glitchy way, gaslighting (?) the player into believing that he didn't burn their ex's house down.

With high affection, Infern0 will instead appear behind the player when they threaten to call the police on him. Infern0 tells them that it's useless, as they had left the oil canister and spray can, thus leading the police to suspect the player instead. Infern0 ends up choking the player, causing them to pass out and leading him to kidnapping him.

Responding to echo_echo instead will lead to the two meeting up and talking about their plan to get the player's ex jealous. He suggests the two meet up to study and talks about how his fanclub is annoying him by following him around. The two have a drink at a cafe together and talk to him about various things. The player also notices that he seems to be a little inconsistent with some of the information that he's told the player about. We also find out that the player themselves might also be a yandere, and that them and the ex might not have been in a relationship in the first place. We end up going to his house afterwards, but after he takes a very long time, we try to open the door to where he has been hiding.

Echo's route glitches out during this part, skipping through the events of the game, only to lead to echo responding directly to the player. He talks about how he tried really hard to make a good route for him, describing what might happened in his route had he had more time.

There are also some smaller moments that you can play around with the file, from deleting either of the character's .char files or if you login as the admin name. It seems to imply that the Admin is trying their hardest to get the best and perfect route for you the player, and that the admin themselves might be interested in you.

This game takes a lot of inspiration from DDLC and it's pretty interesting how it does it. Basing off of the original Yanchat idea, the player does go to talk to these characters on the Yanchat blog, even being able to put in a username and posting. I've always been a big an of achromatic color schemes in games and the addition of red really brings out focal points of the characters and app. I just generally like the artstyle and pixelish based tone, so those are just big pluses for me all around.

Infern0 as a yandere is pretty up front about his actions. He is able to convince the player to vandalize their ex's car before burning down their house soon afterwards, and in either ending, he admits to burning down the ex's place for the player's sake, seemingly frustrated and gaslighting the player into believing it was their fault or even getting them to shut their mouth as the evidence they have is still at the scene of the crime. I wonder what will happen after he kidnaps the player character at the end, will he burn them to get him to do what he wants? Or perhaps focus more on manipulation? It's hard to say. I will say that if the player in this route is similar to the player in Echo's route, that they might have just burnt down an innocent person's house- since it's implied, at least in Echo's route that the player seemed to have been stalking/yandere for their ex, considering that the ex didn't even seem to know who they were. We'll talk about them in a different section, however. In the ending where he kind of... tries to convince the player that none of that happened, it felt more like the Admin attempting to fix the errors that they made so that they could give the player a perfect experience. Very cool, and I think this route so far is the most solid (?) of the two.

Echo_echo as a yandere in contrast to Infern0 is a lot more subtle. In general, as much as the idea of pretending to be someone's boyfriend is pretty, uh sus, he does also make excuses to learn and hang out more with the player so that they can "convincingly be dating". Pretending to be in the same college together and trying to get to know the player, finding their social media account and at the end trapping us in the apartment (or glitchy space). Echo goes more into breaking the fourth wall than Infern0 did, with him deleting every ending that is bad just to skip to the good ending with the player. It is pretty funny that if you don't drink coffee he actually just leaves you to the bad ending. We also learn in this route that again the MC might actually have been a yandere for the ex, or otherwise stalking them, without them ever seemingly been in a relationship. Personally I think that Echo's route feels a lot shorter and feels a bit like a cop out, since while it is cool that he does more breaking the fourth wall things, we don't actually get to see the entirety of his route. We also don't really get to see what the "Good Ending" is for him that he wants for the player, whether it be that he confesses at the end or that he's gotten rid of the Ex once and for all. It doesn't really... feel complete I guess in the way that Infern0's route did. Still, I can't deny that it is a good concept, even if I feel like his route's story gets essentially decapitated at the end.

The admin themself is an interesting entity since we don't actually get to interact with them, other than outside them connecting us to the other two guys and trying to get the game under control when the two guys step out of line. We get the most information out of them when we login as admin. It is interesting that the Admin does have interest in the player as well, trying their hardest to make the player happy with the person that they're dating. Whether this is another character that will eventually be added into Yanchat or just the creator themselves talking to us is unknown, but I think it is a pretty cool feature that you wouldn't know about unless you look through the game files itself and/or play through the entire thing.

Overall, a cool concept game that takes inspiration from DDLC and other fourth wall breaking yandere games. It's always interesting to see how people use them in their own games, and I like the character designs for each yandere boy so far! I hope to see more from the future, since from the description alone I think throwaway_acc will probably be my favorite character.

Hi, I've been contemplating a trip to Japan with the main purpose of going to lives. Could you explain what the general process of applying for and buying tickets from overseas is? What do I need? How do the mobile site raffles (for DEG/sukekiyo/kyo online and so on) work? I'd really appreciate any insight on this as I've never had to go through the process myself and I've seen people saying that getting tickets is hard.

Hello! With a new tour announcement looming on the horizon hopefully next Wednesday, this is perfect timing.

Basically, disclaimer that I don't know in advance if Dir en grey will stick with TicketTown again, but assuming they do:

When they announce the new tour dates, they will usually also reveal when you can apply for tickets. And that, of course, will be for the first round of a knot lottery. If you are not a member of a knot, you probably have to wait 3-4 weeks for the general admission tickets on e-plus. See below for details, but it does not have a good prospect.

For the 25th anniversary tour22 From Depression To_____, they were not very fair and they announced that tickets were going live without any advance notice... Which sucks because there is sometimes a correlation between how fast you were to apply and how good your ticket number ends up being.

IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF A KNOT

AKA if you do not have any Japanese address to use to be a member of the official fan club, whether a friend's address or a Tenso address.

I believe that Dir en grey uses e-plus for general admission, but that site also follows the global trend of multi-factor authentification and they require a Japanese mobile phone number to send a text-message for validation.

So honestly, your best bet to avoid the mobile number obstacle is to get a Japanese shipping address with Tenso, sign up to a knot for something like $30 a year, and that way you can use TicketTown freely.

Last alternative: try and get a ticket on the resale market. Some people might announce that they have extra tickets on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc. A popular resale ticket website is TicketJam, but that also requires a Japanese address in case the tickets ever become paper and get mailed again.

I can't remember exactly what I input when I created my account, but when I tried to create a new accont, it does seem that it would work with a foreign address. Everything is in Japanese, so just good luck finding your country in Katakana.

Apply for a ticket

Go on the category that interests you; in this case, let's go to Dir en grey.

Select the tour and round of lottery that you are looking for or that applies. Check the dates, but basically if the period for application is over, you shouldn't see a button to apply anymore anyway.

If I click on the latest round for the additional show at Shinjuku Blaze, you can see that the page asks you for your a knot login credentials before moving forward, but you also need to click on the section at the very bottom of the page to develop that box and there should be a button to apply for a ticket in the type that you want: either VIP, Exclusive or Regular a knot.

[Types of tickets:

The difference is that VIP costs way more but guarantees you a spot closer to the stage, so a much better ticket number. That being said, the official description mentioned that you could be really close to it but that's false: at Club Citta', VIP ranged from 1 to easily 150, and I don't know if you realize how many people 149 is in front of you if you aren't the tallest hah.

Exclusive usually puts you in a spot that honestly sucks: either on the second floor at the very back of the venue, or near the console for sound and lighting also near the bak... But it depends on each venue, so it might be worthwhile in some cases.

Both VIP and Exclusive come with the bag of exclusive goods: the portrait set, a coloured ticket, merchandise of varying levels of usefulness.

Regular a knot is probably just like regular general admission, but you *should* have a better ticket number than someone in gneral admission. That has not always been true for me, at all, but I had indeed applied very late into the second round of a knot lottery... Usually, a regular a knot ticket would still be a coloured design ticket rather than the general admission. ]

Lottery results & payment

I think that you receive an email when the results come out, which are still preliminary, as the actual ticket number will be revealed closer to the show date. But of course they want you to pay up-front, so you follow the link in the email or go back to your TicketTown account, then you confirm which ones you keep and enter your payment information for them. That would be credit card only, for overseas users, from what I remember.

On the night of the show, click to see your ticket but make sure not to click on the "use ticket" button or something like that.

By the way, at the shows, besides this upcoming Shinjuku Blaze special event, they usually never ask for ID or even for a proof that you are part of a knot.

If you have any questions once the next tour's tickets are up for sale and that I can actually provide concrete examples of what you should click on and what the exacy wording is, then feel free to ask!

1. Describe their phone case.

The case itself is clear, but filled with little knickknacks - colorful confetti, ticket stubs from concerts they've been to, etc.

2. What’s on their lock screen?

A selfie of them and Kyle together. It was taken after a derby match, so Jasper's kind of sweaty and covered in smeared orange-and-red face paint. Kyle is wearing a novelty T-shirt he made specifically to cheer Jasper on during the bout (they think it's so cheesy but inwardly loves it), with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath to hide some of his scars. He's leaning over to kiss their cheek, and Jasper is flushed and laughing.

5. What’s their texting style? (EX: abbreviations or perfect grammar? One-word texts or paragraphs?)

A fair amount of abbreviations and acronyms, and peppered with emojis (especially when they're texting Kyle or one of their friends). They're usually somewhere between the one-word texts and paragraphs - brief responses, but not flippant. Sometimes if they need to send a longer explanation and don't want to type it out, they'll send it as a voice note instead.

Today was supposed to be a good day, but apparently it was not. Good day turned into bad day because Navia had just been dumped by her (ex)boyfriend, Panjul. When Panjul texted Navia this morning to ask her to have a dinner at Mbok Berek Restaurant, Navia thought Panjul would propose her with marriage. But alas, Panjul ended their one year relationship because he fell in love with his coworker, Ying'er. Navia was angry.

Navia sighed, maybe it's time for her to move on and find a real gentleman. When she mindlessly scrolled her twitter page, something caught her attention.

"babufess: hi anyone willing to be my friend and maybe co-op partner. I go by he/him, already in my legal age (27 years old), Alhaitham main and AR 60. Mother first, you second. Love racing through the night with my supra."

Navia was interested with the anonymous message sent on Babufess, especially the supra part because she also owned a supra that she called "sweety". She immediately typed "HIT ME UP" on the reply and patiently waited for the response. Not until one minute, her phone showed a notification.

"Wrioteles followed you."

Without further a do, Navia hit "follow back" button. She was so excited and curious about this wrioteles account, and looked forward to interacting with him.

One day she stumbled upon wrioteles' tweet.

"Hi, does anyone want their spiral abyss piloted by me? free of charge of course ;)"

Navia replied to his post:

"Me!!!"

One hour later, a notification popped out from her phone.

'wrioteles sent you a message'

"Hi Navia. Can you send me your details?"

"Sure!! Here's my ID!"

Navia sent her email and password of Genshin Impact to wrioteles. Wrioteles then asked her to wait while he did her spiral abyss. Navia was happy. Maybe this wrioteles dude was the right guy for her. Who knows?

Two hours later, Navia was still waiting, but there's no follow up response from him.

Three hours, she decided to ask him. "Hi, are you done with my spiral abyss?"

No response. Navia thought that this dude was tired and he got to sleep early, so she just brushed it off. She would text him next morning.

Next morning, Navia woke up early to do his daily commissions in Genshin. But when she tapped in login screen, it said that username and password error. Navia panicked. She couldn't login to her account. She then text this wrio dude.

"The fuck you're doing to my accout?? I need explanation!!"

But she was blocked instead. Navia screamed. It never crossed her mind that she got scammed by a stranger in genshintwt.

I put it off for years and now I’m really paying the price for it with an upcoming surgery, which will need additionally surgeries after for skin grafts due to the size of it, the spot it’s at, and depending how deep they’re gonna have to go to get all of it...
