Carla Lassen (The Simpsons Oc)
Carla Judith Lassen is the daughter of Jack Lassen and Jennifer Terwilliger, granddaughter of Judith Underdunk and Dr. Robert Terwilliger, Senior. She’s also the niece of Sideshow Bob and Cecil Terwilliger, and cousin of Gino Terwilliger.
Before she was born, her father Jack Lassen and Jennifer Terwilliger met when they were teenagers at high school and they hit off right away before they left university on their graduation to discover that Jennifer was pregnant and they raised their daughter until her mother left the family when Carla was only 3.
Carla didn’t know her mom’s family until she was 9 when she and her dad goes to Springfield Elementary School due to her dad’s redemption when, really, it just to revenge Bart Simpson for humiliated at Blazing Guy Festival. She was a new student at the school assembly with her hair tied up in a bun before Bart threw a pie at her that was meant to be for Principal Skinner. At first she was humiliated, but then she smiled as everyone laughed which made her feel comfortable until Krusty the Clown asked her who she was and she revealed it all when Krusty noticed that her eyes were similar blue colour like her mom. Everyone discovered that she was the niece of Sideshow Bob but he and the family claimed that they didn’t know Carla’s existence until Jack Lassen explained to them about his relationship with Jennifer before she disappeared.

I'm guessing when Marge was Sideshow during the unseen adventures in the episode Manjula gave birth to the octuplets she had to wear a coconut bra since this was pretty much the uniform. We know she wore the bone in her hair but details are back-and-forth on that.Sometimes it's viewed as something Krusty demands, but also has been a trademark of Mel's family similar to Van Houtens and Smithers' genetics(Technically the entire history of Springfield ancestry more-or-less).
I think I also once had to work with direct mail being sent to the part of Oregon Matt Groening apparently grew up in.I say that because one of the addresses was on Terwilliger and at one point in an interview or some other special he did mention some of the character last names were just taken from the street signs he often drove by.

The Simpsons Ultimate Showdown!
Round 2: SIDESHOW BOB VS NED FLANDERS
Sideshow Bob TidBit: In Season 17's "The Italian Bob," Bob moves to Italy and gets a family of a wife and child, named Francesca and Gino. After this episode, the two only appear once more in Season 19's "Funeral for a Fiend."
Ned Flanders TidBit: There has been a metal band themed around Flanders himself called Okilly Dokilly, which was named after Flanders' greeting. All of the band's members performed dressed as Flanders, and the majority of the lyrics to their songs are quotes of his.

Find the Word
I was tagged by @tales-from-nocturnaliss and you can find her post here!
Rules: scour your writings and Find the Word!
Words I was given: Beloved, Silence, Mourning, Star 🖤🖤🖤 <<Beloved>> (Robert Terwilliger x OC) For the past two weeks, Robert had walked with her down the slope and parted ways at the parking lot. To have that gone made the wind blow colder at her side.
Past her beloved garden, the night seemed heavier, oppressively blotting out the streetlights. Still, she tried to shake off the ominous feeling as she reached into her bag for her newest read. She past the corner of the library, then stopped when someone caught her eye. Though his face was covered in darkness, his eyes glinted oddly like two glowing pinpricks.
"Lilith," he said, voice haggard and thick. "Mason?" she asked. "What are you doing here?" "I needed to see you."
He stepped closer, and she shuddered at his appearance. His sallow skin brought out his bloodshot and bagged eyes. His once kempt face was dotted with rough and sandpapery stubble.
"What do you mean?" she asked, her voice quivering, legs frozen to the spot. "I really like you, Lilith. But you keep rejecting me over and over, and I don't know why. But that guy—that felon? You and him together—" Mason grabbed the sides of his head like the very idea of it caused him pain. "It's so frustrating!"
<<Silence>> (Ominis Gaunt x OC) "Don't sympathize with me!" He snapped. "I don't deserve it! I purposefully hurt those people; I wanted them to suffer so I didn't have to! And my family and I tortured them ruthlessly—we destroyed them! They were tortured and killed all because I wouldn't stop my family. Their blood is on my hands!" He hugged himself, shuddering and trembling. His breathing hiccuped as his sobs broke through. "I'm such a coward…"
Credence didn't register that she'd gotten up until after she embraced Ominis. He turned to face her, his arms around her waist and back. She comforted him in silence. In his state, she didn't think any words could help, so she let him cry, sure from the intensity that he'd been holding onto his guilt for many years. She understood the lament in his tears, the horrible bleeding wounds being strong brought. The sound of it made her own wounds open as she cried quietly alongside him.
<<Mourning>> (Legend of Zelda) Ozavo leapt at Link, fist clenched as his other hand snatched Link's shirt. "What the hell is wrong with you!? You killed him!" Link held his eyes shut tight, trying to block out the horrible vision of Alfonse's blood on his hands. "Ozavo, stop!"
But the Rito didn't listen to Neeko. His fist bashed Link's face, once, twice, three times. Agony shocked his senses, but the pain by Ozavo's hands was nothing in comparison.
Ozavo wasn't finished. "I'll kick your ass! I'll–I'll–!!"
Link hit the ground with Ozavo on top of him. Punch after punch battered his face and jaw. He had no will to stop Ozavo. Why should he? Why should he, when he deserved it.
The beating stopped. Link opened his eyes to see Neeko holding onto Ozavo's arm, tears rolling down both of their faces.
"Stop it," Neeko pleaded. "This isn't what Alfonse wanted. He was being controlled by Ganondorf. Link didn't want to—" "Shut up," Ozavo spat, voice cracking. "You think I don't know that!? You think I can just let it go!?"
Hot tears burned across Link's wounds. The face of his friend as his life drained away had dug itself deep into his memory. He felt Ozavo and Neeko's pain. And he sobbed just as much as they did. Ozavo collapsed with his face in Link's shoulder, mourning the loss of their friend.
<<Star>> (Butch DeLoria x OC) "Sorry," she said preemptively as she typed up her password, "it's a little messy."
The door slid open revealing the piles of books she left on the kitchen table. Even on the couch, a place where she was supposed to relax, gave away signs of her obsession with space: rolled up charts, textbooks, and a clay model of the moon half-finished with a few craters and lack of paint. She headed straight for the kitchen to get some food ready for them.
"Man, you really are into space," he said, gazing now at her ceiling whereupon she hung her previously made sun and several clay asteroids. "It's so cool," she said, crushing the packet of mac n cheese in her grip to avoid spewing too many space facts. Butch shrugged. "Yeah, I guess so. Black holes are pretty cool." "I love black holes," she said, grinning wide as she poured water into her pan. "The way that a star can get so dense after its inevitable supernova— um, well, yeah. It's neat."
She held her breath. Please stop talking… When Butch didn't respond, she resumed breathing. 🖤🖤🖤 Yet again, I have no one to tag that Nocturnaliss didn't already tag, but wanted to join in the game anyway. If you see this and want to join, your words are:

Here’s a really old drawing my fan family I made for Bob. Here’s some info.
Helen Chen: She’s a Chinese-American. She and Bob used to be childhood friends, back in elementary school. They became High-School “sweethearts, later on. They went their separate ways, when they went to different colleges. But, they met again, when Bob got out of jail and vowed to be an “upstanding” citizen. They married, a year, later. She can be a little “snarky” sometimes.
Aimee: She’s Helen’s 7 year old daughter. She doesn’t know much about her real dad, but sees Bob as a Father figure to her. She’s not a fan of clowns, but is a huge Krusty the Clown fan. She probably has more merchandise than Bart. She loves when Bob gives her “piggyback” rides.
Roger: Bob and Helen’s one year old son. He has red hair like his dad. Just not in the same hair-style. He’s very intelligent for his age. He’s best friends with Maggie Simpson.
Cho-Cho: A “Pedigree” Chow-Chow. He’s the Terwilliger family pet. His favorite pastimes are staring at Bob, rolling around on the couch, and chewing on Bob’s shoes.
If anyone wants to draw Bob with them, feel free.

What Is The Chateau?
The Chateau, or the ChateauVerse, is an urban fantasy, or rather suburban fantasy, world created by me. I made this blog so I would have an easier time sticking to this world, as my ADHD brain tends to fly off randomly.
Anyway, let's start with the history of the universe's namesake, the Chateau itself.
You see, there used to be an old magical family called the Terwilligers. They were very proud of their mastery of magic and did not want to mingle with the magically-ignorant populace. As such, they took great measures to keep themselves hidden, mostly by using enchantments to hide their grand estates.
This desire to avoid dealing with The Plebians lead them to settle in the fictional town of Maple Creek, Massachusetts. Maple Creek, as the name implies, was known for its magnificent maple trees– trees tall enough to hide their Chateau with only a little help from plant magic.
In addition to mundane protections, such as its location and the giant stone wall surrounding the mansion, many enchantments were cast to hide the Chateau. One warped space around the property so it could only be entered from one direction. Another messed with perception so that the road to the Chateau looked as uninteresting as possible. A third altered memory, making it hard to remember the Chateau existed. The only way around these enchantments was to have Terwilliger blood or possess a certain rune.
However, the Terwilligers met their end just after the American Civil War when Bartholomew Terwilliger, a traveler, returned home carrying the Weeping Plague. It's a horrible magical illness that causes the infected to cry their own blood out. They slowly died one by one, for even with their pride and elitism, they did not want to risk exposing anyone else to the plague. The last Terwilliger, Cornelius, instructed Fortescue, the family golem, to cast a spell that would disintegrate the dead bodies after he died, in order to be absolutely sure the plague would spread no further.
Fortescue, not knowing what else to do, remained in the Chateau for many decades, hoping that someone would find him and give him a purpose again.
And eventually, that day came. A little girl named Mary Anne Eason had a Gift that made her ignore all forms of magical mind manipulation. Thus, along with her friend Jenny Garrand, she was able to discover the Chateau, Fortescue, and the supernatural world as a whole.
After reading the books in the Chateau's library and learning both the wonder and the danger of the world of magic, Mary Anne and Jenny decided to form a secret society dedicated to keeping an eye on anything magical. The girls had many friends from many walks of life due to their various little "adventures" so it wasn't hard to find people with the right skillsets for the job.
Thus, the Society of the Supernatural was born.
I think I'll leave it here for now, since this post is getting kind of long. Feel free to ask me any questions you have about this world!

um……umm…….cecil terwilliger first meeting lore dump:
sideshow bob’s immediate family is released from prison early as a reward of good behavior, and. cecil is able to get by almost like he used to due to not being infamous like his big bro. and also his promising credentials.
long after the release, madi moves into the area. and she meets cecil on one of her weekly outings when she bumps into him on accident and. finds a compliment unintentionally slip out of her mouth when she realizes he looks cute ^^;
so. they end up hanging out a bit and madi shyly gives cecil her phone number. which he calls later that week upon thinking back to the interaction some more, and he asks her out on an actual date. much to her. flustered excitement.
madi meets sideshow bob later on, and they quickly become friends—and despite any worries cecil had at first about her changing her mind madi proves through her words and actions that even though her potential brother-in-law is. a delightfully eccentric friend. cecil’s still the only one she loves romantically… besides, bob has issues that she finds concerning at times compared to cecil.

Good Worldbuilding Shoutout #1
This is my first post on trying to highlight good examples of worldbuilding! Whether it be because of unique ideas, excellent and easy-to-read formatting, entrancing prose, or imaginative art—I want to share the good worldbuilding that this community has to offer!
The Chateau – The Chateau is an urban fantasy world that revolves around the history of the Terwilliger family, a magical clan that settled in Maple Creek, Massachusetts. They used enchantments and magical protections to hide their grand estate, the Chateau, from the general population. However, the family met their demise when Bartholomew Terwilliger returned home carrying a deadly magical illness called the Weeping Plague. The last surviving Terwilliger, Cornelius, instructed the family golem, Fortescue, to dispose of the bodies and remained in the Chateau for many years. Eventually, two girls named Mary Anne Eason and Jenny Garrand discovered the Chateau and formed the Society of the Supernatural, a secret society dedicated to monitoring magical activity. A post I really like of their take on Vampirism in The Chateau! Their character profiles are really nice too, so @worldofthechateau is definitely worth keeping an eye on if you enjoy some "suburban fantasy"!
Tales of the Everlands – A blog dedicated to the worldbuilding and story of their custom D&D world, Everlands is something I'm really looking forward to seeing more of. Though there are only a handful of posts right now, I really enjoyed them enough to say it's good worldbuilding! I liked The Everlands - Gods and Magic. I really cool read about the history and origins of the gods in The Everlands. @tales-of-the-everlands is something to keep an eye on!
Nerath – Based on D&D 4e, Nerath is a really interesting homebrew world! One of my favorite posts is Geography: Sarkhaen Tair, Part 2. I just really like the formatting. It's a lot of text, but the images break it up nicely! I especially like the simplicity of the population and economic stats, I think it helps to give a really well-rounded idea of the city. @nerath-mp is worth checking out if you enjoy D&D-based campaign setting with some substantial and interesting changes!
Please check these blogs out, they deserve it!

What to watch for in the housing market in 2023
As U.S housing markets grapple with high mortgage rates, inflation anxieties and recession apprehensions, real estate prices are anticipated to drop in the upcoming year; however, it is unlikely that this price decrease will trigger an increase in potential buyers. Predictions point to a deceleration of housing sales throughout 2023, while affordability issues contribute to the decreasing cost of homes. A major challenge for potential homeowners will be the elevated mortgage rates that come with it. This year, economists found that thirty-year fixed mortgage rates surged from approximately 3 percent up to around 7 percent as the Federal Reserve raised interest rates in an attempt to impede inflation. Home prices have plummeted due to this situation, making it increasingly difficult for people--particularly families with the extra burden of escalating costs in food, gas and other necessities--to buy a home. “That’s a lot more money you have to pay out every month, between a 3 percent interest rate and a 7 percent interest rate. It’s a significant chunk of change you have to pay out, even when the housing prices go down,” said Dennis Shea, the executive director of the J. Ronald Terwilliger Center for Housing Policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. As mortgage rates have been gradually increasing over the past twelve months, they've started to decrease in recent weeks. The Mortgage Bankers Association anticipates that by 2023, 30-year mortgages could be as low as 5.2%. Redfin and Realtor.com also agree with this prediction and suggest a slight decline may occur soon too! Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell has also affirmed that the central bank will reduce its interest rate hikes, which could potentially bring stability to the market. Yet, for many aspiring homeowners, the mortgage payment can be a daunting prospect. “Right now, you see home prices declining … so you’ll probably continue to see that going forward. But affordability is still a major, major problem,” said Shea. “Wages have not kept pace with the housing market. Over the past year, you see mortgage rates have gone up dramatically, and that has priced many buyers out of the market.” Not only is it becoming more difficult for new buyers to enter the housing market due to our tumultuous economy, but even homeowners who already own properties are struggling to purchase additional homes. Take, for instance, a couple who purchased their home five years ago with an alluring fixed mortgage rate. They now feel the longing to move into a larger house equipped with adequate space for children; however, the new mortgage rate would dramatically increase and cause difficulty in making this transition. Mortgage brokers refer to it as the "mortgage lock-in" impact: Homeowners with established fixed-rate mortgages remain in their same house, so they don't have to worry about higher payments. According to Realtor.com, it is expected that home prices will gradually decrease over the coming years before stabilizing again; Redfin additionally suggests that in 2023 median sale prices could diminish by 4%, and housing sales may drop to 2011-levels (16%) next year.

*summons two more Simpsons ocs* they're m u l t I p l y I n g
This is the Calloway's, Minnie(current age 32) and her son Neil(current age 13)
The mother and son moved to Springfield recently from Australia, why Springfield? Idk Minnie never tells and Neil is just confused about the whole thing.
Minnie is a big fan of old black and white cartoons and is actually a pretty talented at dancing, often seen dancing along to some classical music and trying to get her son to join in which he often does, Minnie also is pretty protective of her only child, she's pretty worried about letting Neil interact with the Simpsons family(especially Bart or Lisa) or watching krusty the clown, never really told Neil why but he doesn't really question it that much, other than that she's very chill and relaxed with most of the crazy antics of the citizens of Springfield, but like most people she has a limit and can really blow up in a person's face, oh and the fact she's good at using normal items as weapons, such as a shovel, doesn't really help when she's angry.
Anyways on to the yellow ball of anger Minnie calls her son, Neil was born a only child with a dad who wasn't really there, who he is and why he left Neil will probably never know, Neil likes listening to music which mostly contains classical music and jazz thanks to his mom's influence, Neil likes to keep his hair in a ponytail like his mom one because it looks good and also he personally thinks his hair is a mess and hard to manage when untied, Neil has slight problems interacting with people, mostly because of his behavioral issues, due to being on the autism spectrum (at least that's what he thinks Minnie tells him), Neil has some habits like sometimes making squeaking noises when in panic or excited, sometimes both, shaking his foot around when happy(Neil first started doing it thinking he's a dog and it stuck with him for a long time), sometimes blanks out and doesn't really listen to what people are saying(kinda scared Minnie thinking he can't hear her), blurts out loudly to say something, and is easily annoyed by little noises(such as chewing and other small things), other than that he just doesn't really talk much or make a friend due to trust issues, most of his life people would look at him weirdly and compare his appearance to some criminal (mostly due to his slightly big feet and spiky hair), so he has trouble interacting/befriending people because he's worried of getting compared to someone again, speaking of trust issues!, Whenever Minnie gets a date or meets someone Neil is suspicious and Very worried about the new person, wether it be a man, woman, gender neutral, or nonbinary, Neil is gonna get worried, always thinking of the worst case scenarios of why these people are trying to get in a relationship with his mom like, "what if they're gonna cheat on her? What if they're gonna end up being a thief and Steal all our stuff?, What if they're a serial killer planning on blowing her up, WHAT IF THEY'RE GONNA END UP A MAFIA DUDE AND SELL HER TO SOME RICH GUY?!-", so yeah if anyone's gonna try to get with Minnie they'll have to get Neil's trust of approval which is very very hard to get, anyways Neil also is pretty good at video games and happens to have the highest score on Skip's(another oc) game, has encountered the Simpsons family a couple times, may have given Bart a mini heart attack on first meeting for some reason, kinda chill with Lisa though doesn't really talk to her much(really he doesn't talk with anyone), other than that Neil's fine until you get him to snap and whack you with a rack out of anger.
✨Steal my art and I'll eat your Toes✨
#the simpsons#simpsons oc#simpsona#the Calloway's#I slightly wanted to add that a member of the Terwilliger family is Neil's dad(cough sideshow bob) but I didn't really know if that'd work#I couldn't really figure out a story on how the heck minnie and bob ended up together (since I suck at backstories) so ye#also Minnie's name was based on the song Minnie the moocher

Fortescue
Physical Appearance
Fortescue is a three-foot-tall golem made out of clay. His golden brown body is smooth and round, with two small holes in his face for eyes and four fingers on each hand. (Literally, just look up the Doodle God symbol for “golem” and you have Fortescue.)
Being a golem with no anatomy, Fortescue rarely wears clothes. However, occasionally he will wear a scarf or a hat if he feels like it. He especially likes straw hats.
Personality
Fortescue was created by the Terwilliger family to act as a butler. He’s a very old golem, older than the United States itself, with a long history of serving the Terwilligers. So with them gone, he’s lost and bereft of purpose. When Mary Anne, Jenny, and the Society of the Supernatural come into his life, he treats them as his new masters. However, they encourage him to think for himself, seeing him as a friend rather than a servant. (And yes, this character arc was inspired by Pearl of Steven Universe.)
During his long decades alone, Fortescue passed the time by taking care of the Chateau and reading the library’s books. Multiple times each. As such, he has the entire contents of the library memorized and can easily find the book the Society needs.
Sydney introduced him to anime, which he enjoys. (He likes subs and dubs equally.) His favorite anime is a pirate show called The Lost Treasure.
Abilities
Being an artificially-made golem, Fortescue is limited in the spells he can cast. He uses utility spells, such as telekinesis and spells to find small objects. While not very good for combat, which Fortescue rarely sees anyway, these spells are incredibly useful.
Fortescue was not built with the ability to speak, so the Society taught him how to speak in sign language. Having only four fingers sometimes makes it difficult, but he’s pretty good at it. However, the Society is still working on a way to give him a voice.
Despite his small size, Fortescue is surprisingly quick.
He also has a great memory and has memorized the contents of the Chateau’s library.
