Announcement for a special Remembrance
Some of you know Tenshi aka slimysuckers aka Alexis from the last year(s) of the 007 fest.
A member of the team civilian and shipper of 00Q, she was a very much liked and gentle person. Many of you - and others - got to know her as a chat partner for James Bond related subjects, as for private, friendly conversation.
She left earth at the 7th of March and is clearly missed in this Fandom.
So I talked to others at this time (please look here) and I proposed a Tenshi Day for the next 007 fest.
It will be at the 15th of July for us, lots of time to prepare.
We want to cherish her, speak her name, tell anecdotes, make gifs, etc for her. What we are comfortable with.
No one will be forced to anticipate, and no one will be forced to use the 15th. If you want to post something earlier, later, more often, just tag 'tenshiday' and it will get reblogged on the civilian Blog. Of course we can reblog it also on private Blogs. Speak a person's name and they will not die.
I hope I did not overstep with this announcement and wish you all a wonderful 007 fest 2023!
Much love,
Penny

On July 15th, 2023, hereby known as Tenshi Day during 007 Fest
Our fellow fan in Bond fandom, @tentacletenshi, passed away a few months ago. Thank you to @teamcivilian for making sure her legacy lives on. She made wonderful contributions to the fandom.
And while I would like to highlight that in this post, I’m here to first emphasize to you all what a considerate, kind person Tenshi was. THAT is what I remember. That’s how we should all wish to be remembered.
If you’ll permit me, here are a few screen grabs from some of our conversations, particularly in 2022 when I captained Team Civilian and had the honor of getting to know Tenshi well. We had long heart to hearts in private messages on Discord.
The redacted portions are out of respect.
This is the kind of sudden thing she’ll send me, and it’s like she just somehow knew I needed it, that I was struggling and I really needed it:
After that, whenever she sensed from afar that I was sad, she checked in. She always had something supportive and helpful to say.
Shortly thereafter, Tenshi opened up about being bullied on AO3. A troll was leaving nasty comments on her fics, and using different accounts. Reporting and blocking wasn’t being effective.
Tenshi was BOLD and CREATIVE and experimented with fanfic, which is exactly what it’s for. She wrote a brutal Bond and an evil Madeleine Swann and yeah, it’s a risk in this fandom but if we try to shut down this kind of expression we’ve shut down the essence of fandom itself.
These are the fics:
Trust is a Form of Love
and
How to Kill a Swann
So what did we do? Team Civilian and fellow Bond fans refused to let this go on, and we flooded her comment section with appreciation and love. Don’t ever fuckin’ mess with our friends.
Tenshi was so happy it brought a tear to my eye.
I wish I told her more what she meant to me.
I’ve now got tears streaming down my face.
God rest your soul my friend. I love you very much.

Tenshi was...
I was speechless, not because I forgot the words but because I realized that I didn't know anything about her. And is true, I didn't know Tenshi. Not her name, where she lived, or if she had a family. But, I know her fandom work and her creations.
It's easy to know her creations. If you are in the Goldeneye fandom you knew her.
And his creations speak grandly of her. About his generosity and dedication.
I'm a lurker and I never interacted with her (just kudos and likes), but I did see how friendly and open she was with the others. Always gentle and kind. Eager to help.
I know her creations (her fandom legacy) but every time I think of her, she is like that warm friend hug you receive when you are in need most.
Tenshi was a fellow fan.
Tenshi was a creator.
Tenshi was a beautiful person and she was going to be missed so much.
TENSHI, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL!

Remembering the kind, creative, joyful spirit of @tentacletenshi. I wish I said more. I wish I told you explicitly how happy you made me and so many others here. We laughed a lot. God rest your soul. You made an impact on Bond fandom forever and your friends will not forget you.
July 15th is Tenshi Day!
It’s the day for remembering Alexis_tenshi aka slimysuckers, our former Team civilian member, who was a dear friend for so many.
