Where do you get that slogan for Izayoi? The "rising from the ashes" I mean.
outoftheashes: You mean my slogan of Beauty from the Ashes? I made it up for her. Mostly because she dealt with some real and p. awful shit and still wound up coming out pretty much on top. That and-even though I don’t really consider Tenkou Hadou no Ken (Inuyasha movie 3) to be canon, she came from the ashes of her home in that-and she’s a beauty. :)

The climax of movie 3 was really good. I especially liked when hell just opened up. That was epic
outoftomorrow: Heh~It was a wicked cool battle scene.

Genius= the people behind Inuyasha movie 3. Absolutely brilliant! I hope they did more stuff later on. They're geniuses
outoftomorrow: It was the best of the four~ But it was a pure filler that made a lot of plot holes in the actual series itself. x.x Which the series already had a butt ton of canon plot holes....It really didn’t need filler plot holes added in on top of it.

Kagome, how did you feel about Takemaru’s resurrection by So’unga?
「巫女」:: “I didn’t see his full resurrection…But I think Sou’unga used the last person it knew had nasty feelings before it was buried and never used again. It’s sights were limited…”

The music at the beginning of movie 3 gave me chills. In a good way. It set the correct atmosphere.
outoftomorrow: There was no music in the first few scenes of movie 3…Though when the music did come up–It did make it seem like it was going to be a great epic tale. lol.

The third movie is our only guess of what the Inu no Taisho looked like. I can honestly say, I am very pleased. Especially his arms and hands. The claws accentuate them nicely. Izayoi probably found that appealing.
outoftomorrow: I’ve heard tell that Takahashi herself did approve of the Inu no Taishou’s humanoid design…and helped design it herself…So his humanoid look in “Tenkou Hadou no Ken” is likely the closest we’ll get to his canon humanoid appearance anyway. lol. But yea, I have no doubt that Iza found his arms and hands appealing and attractive. x3

Well, the third movie is definitely my favorite one. The fourth one was probably the weakest but it had gorgeous animation.
outoftomorrow: Haha. Same~ If I had to choose. Even though Tenkou Hadou no Ken is rife with plot holes, and story bits that would’ve ultimately changed the way the og story went–it’d still be my fav too. And yeah–Guren no Hourijima Did have beautiful art in it. That was the reason I watched it a second time after I bought it. xD SCREEN SHOTS BABY. lol.

Nw judging just the movies. Who do you think were the best characters and who do you think were the worst? What were your favorite moments and what were your least favorite?
outoftomorrow: Out of all the filler characters in the movies I assume, right? Not the main chars? Okai~!『 Inuyasha Movie 1: Toki o Koeru Omoi 』 I quite liked Hari and Ruri from the first movie. Pointless though they were-they were an interesting Chinese duet. Menomaru was okay too, not great–but I guess he gave us a bit of an idea that the Inu no Taishou might have visited China in his time alive. Though since this is filler-we don’t actually know. Haha. Fav moments: Kagome in miko kosode no hakama~『 Inuyasha Movie 2: Kagami no Naka no Mugenjou 』 Houjou Akitoki was–pure and simple–utterly unnecessary. And made things grossly complicated and simply pathetic when he turned up in the TV series later…I really wish they’d not put him in at all. x_x;; I rather enjoyed Kaguya, weird though she was-and completely not the Kaguya from the actual fairy tale, lol. But she was amusing nonetheless. Fav moments: Battle with Naraku at the very beginning. It was a nice touch, and put them in a situation no one had previously thought might occur. Least fav moments: The kiss…I know it was a GREAT moment for InuKag fans everywhere…But I found it–fake. Cliche. Unnatural. Forced, Trite….I just did not like it. >x『 Inuyasha Movie 3: Tenkou Hadou no Ken 』 Setsuna Takemaru…Interesting idea-twisted, but interesting. He’d given way to quite a number of HCs concerning my Iza muse…However-the way the 3rd movie’s story falls–doesn’t fit in at all. For him included. Lucky for me its only filler~! So I can disregard it all if I want. xD Saya…Is a git. lol. I’ll take Myouga over that junk filler char any day. Fav moments: The ending theme song? xD;; I love Namie Amuro. Plus the kotodama bead exploding off…That-osuwari-was actually one of the few helpful and necessary ones used in the anime as a whole. And it left Inuyasha bead free for the rest of the movie. Least moments: When Sou’unga took over Inu’s arm…The ‘snake’ things that came out and enslaved it-pretty much–seemed like areally stupid idea…Still do really. 『 Inuyasha Movie 4: Guren no Haraijima 』 The only filler char I liked in movie 4 was the Kikyou Clone…The ‘hanyou children’ had me thinking of them as pokemon, and the villains were *bad* rip-offs of previous filler youkai characters in the TV anime…Over all the fourth movie was garbage imo anyway. Just a cash cow really. Its overall plot sucked, its filler characters sucked worse…It was all literally pointless drivel…Except the scenes with Clone Kikyou. I liked those. They made me happy. lol.

In the case of the rather infamous Inuyasha fillers, including the movies, what do you think were helpful additions to the series and what were completely useless?
outoftomorrow: Haha…I find a lot of the fillers to be useless and full of things that give the fans that only watch the anime the wrong idea about the characters-and what actually goes on in the series. That last part is especially true with ALL the episodes that were altered canon. (which means, in this case, that it was the story in the manga–but they *changed* it,) I honestly fail to understand why the anime producers even went and altered the canon. It was a bad move IMO. ANYWAY-to answer the actual question And bare in mind this is ALL opinion so take it with a grain of salt: There were only like 3 or 4 of the fillers that I think actually were helpful additions to the story as a whole..
ep: 98 Just Kagome and Kikyou in a Cave: is the first one. I honestly think this should have been canon, the fact that it wasn’t depresses me-cause it would have made the girls reconcile over their differences a lot sooner.
ep: 162 Together Forever with Sesshoumaru-sama: is next-because it gave us a bit more in depth look into Rin. Which-in the canon- we never actually–get.
ep: 163 Kohaku, Sango, and Kirara and the Secret Flower Garden: This is the only other filler episode I think added anything useful-Because it wasn’t altering the story really any–but it gave us a better idea of the here and now of these two siblings and Kirara. The in the past dive within it aside–it gave you a better sense that they were close, and could be again.
Inuyasha movie 3: Tenkou Hadou no Ken: (used the Japanese title cause the Viz Translated one is wrong and sounds stupid imo,) This was an…okay addition. There are a fudge ton of holes in its plot-line, and a lot more that doesn’t add up to or with the canon (neither manga nor anime) at all, and all in all-the story itself was kind of stupid. but it did give us a hearty looksee into what the Inu no Taishou would have looked like in a humanoid form. Which I think is important.
And that’s about it for useful ones…All the rest I found useless, annoying and full of misinformation. The ones I found especially useless were
ep: 59 The beautiful sister apprentices
eps: 63-65 Anime’s version to the end of the Tsubaki arc
ep: 72 Toutousai’s Rigid Training
eps: 75-77 The *whole* Panther Diva arc
ep: 92 Revived People’s Ambition
eps: 94-95 Those Who Made The Shikon no Tama
ep: 100 Nightmare Reality: Battle in the Forest of Despair
ep: 101 Lingering Snow Seven Years Later
ep: 130 Roar: Shippou’s Ultimate Attack Kokoro no Kizu
eps: 133-134 The Woman Who Loved Sesshoumaru
eps: 137-140 The Whole Weapons of Heaven and Earth arc (Though sadly this arc had one of the BEST animated episodes in the entire series)
eps: 147-148 A Fateful Love Song Before we First Met
Inuyasha Movie 4: Fire on Mystic Island
These to me were completely and utterly useless–and a few gave wicked misinformation. I feel that these likely should never have been made. All the rest of the fillers (episodes: 68, 78, 79, 87, 89, 90, 91, 93, 96, 97, 99, 127, 128, 129, 135, 136, and Inuyasha Movies 1 & 2) were just simply useless and somewhat annoying. Sooo! Yeah. That;s my long-winded answer…::coughs:: I ask you to remember, again, that this is all just opinion. :);;

Writers of movie 3: "I have a good idea, why don't we zoom in on a crab being washed back into the ocean?"
outoftheashes: It gave atmospheric ambiance? ::shrugs::

Great things we get to see from the third film, we get to see what the father of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha was like(absolutely in love with his voice), we get to see Inuparents interact with each other and we get to see baby Inuyasha. So cute!
outoftheashes: Oh I agree~It’s a good film~! Though I re-watched it with my love this past weekend–and I’m gonna admit-I cringed through a lot of it–and we wound up riffing at it and making fun of it and pointing out all the horrible plot holes in it all the way through…xDD;;;

Well maybe a little bit of a waif but the only people we see her interact with is her son. Of course she'd be sweet and gentle to her child. It depicts her as a loving and devoted mother. And yeah in the third she was but she was also in advanced labor so she probably was in too much pain to fight. So that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
outoftheashes: Which just solidifies my point that we know nothing important about her, and that she must have been more than what they show. :3 However–as I have said somewhere before–I don’t consider the third movie canon anyway. I don’t believe she gave birth to Inu in any such danger as she was in in the movie.
