Y'know, if I had a nickle for everytime a blond guy with green eyes voiced by Bryce Papenbrook was best friends with a green guy with a turtle theme voiced by Ben Diskin, I'd have two nickles, which isn't alot but it's weird it's happened twice, right?

as 2023 ends in hours, i like to take a moment to share nostalgic stuff i have held onto over the years, where i say "goodbye" to the cartoons, games, and anime series we've lost over the years.

the closest I've ever gotten to one of my ships ever being Canon was the english dub of tenkai knights going really hard on granox and slyger's relationship. like straight up changing one scene in the japanese version from "heh... i think it's time to use our ultimate combo attack...." to, actual quote "hey slyger if we don't get out of this, i just want to say-" "no need granox i know you've always ADMIRED me more than you can say" "that's not even remotely- oh forget i even brought it up"

and other such Definitely Not In The Japanese Version isms such as

"you two hate each other even more than granox and I do! well. used to. now we're totally in sync!" (with granox also saying totally in sync but a beat behind so it's not actually in sync)

"THAT wasn't funny" "you're right, even WE'RE funnier than that, and come to think of it, OUR titan mode is better too"

"we did it, we DEFEATED the tenkai knights!" "yep! and you know, I couldn't have done it without you slyger" "NOR I without you granox" "let's just say we did it... TOGETHER" "TOGETHER!" (in unison, holding hands) "TOGETHER WE MAKE A GREAT TEAM"
