Here's some hominid soft facial anatomy : )
The model on the right of frame, representing Australopithecus sediba, has been in sporadic progress for over a year now across a few programs, and I was able to create the model on the left of frame by conforming all the A. sediba elements to the Kabwe cranium (belonging to Homo heidelbergensis *or* H. bodoensis by some classifications). That latter process took place entirely in Blender over only a couple days, so I'm pretty happy with this method. While the skulls themselves aren't visible in these screenshots, they are part of the Blender file and were downloaded directly from MorphoSource, which was pretty helpful. Digital sculpture (SculptFab, SculptGL, 3D Builder, Blender), 2023-24

My Feet Hate Me
After spending two weeks flattened by a cold that triggered my asthma, I'm finding the tendons in my feet are so tight and angry. I'm trying to calm them down so I don't do real damage at dance tomorrow.
Heat
Gentle stretches
Roll feet over tennis balls (ouch)
More stretches
More heat
Massage with Tiger Balm
Repeat
I'm at the Tiger Balm stage of treatment and my feet are so pleasantly warm. Eventually there will be ice (I have these new ice pack socks to try out) because I think there's some inflammation. Ugh.

Does trigger finger get worse over time? https://dearkish.blogspot.com/2025/04/does-trigger-finger-get-worse-over-time.html Rest, splinting, and exercises can help mild symptoms, while severe cases may require steroid injections or surgery.

My teacher said the 3 ideas listed in our thesis statements are our points.
No.
No ma'am.
Those may be the points I possess, yes, but they are not MY points
Millions before have come up with them and millions more will come up with them later.
No. My points are my own. My points are my jagged teeth, glistening canines, my salivating maw that tears meat and tendons from bones.
My points are the sharp caps atop my wings and the shards of porcelain that comes from my shattered doll body.
My points are not your silly, trivial essay fodder, my points are sharp and dangerous, and you should not tread towards them too closely.
P.s. devouring raw flesh and slurping the fat strands up like noodles is God's given right to all his children and I fully intend on making good on this part of the world he's created for us

Rest Day, I've overworked my shoulders too much this weekend and week for that matter.
Need to just take my muscle relaxers and use my back massager, I'm hoping it'll take some of the pain and tightness away.
I really hope that with the help of my docs and PT that I'm able to make this manageable soon.
I can feel the inflammation and swelling getting worse from the over exertion. Especially after seeing the MRI results and knowing which areas are usually inflamed, I know the specific part under my arm is bad right now, i can feel it, hoping it goes down in the next Day instead of getting worse cause that's the part that can temerarily immobilize that side of my body if it gets worse.
🤞

Palmar tendonitis: relieve your pain and regain a nimble hand
Palmar tendonitis is an inflammation of the tendons located in the palm of the hand. These tendons play an essential role in flexing the fingers. When these tendons are subjected to repeated strain or sudden movements, they can become inflamed, leading to pain, stiffness and reduced grip strength.

What causes palmar tendonitis?
The most common causes of palmar tendonitis are linked to :
- Repetitive movements: manual work, racket sports, activities requiring a prolonged grip.
- Trauma: falls, fractures, sprains.
- Inflammatory diseases: rheumatoid arthritis, gout.
What are the symptoms?
The symptoms of palmar tendonitis can vary from person to person but generally include :
- Pain in the palm of the hand, which worsens with movement.
- Stiffness in the morning or after a period of inactivity.
- Localised swelling.
- Reduced grip strength.
How is palmar tendonitis treated?
Treatment for palmar tendonitis depends on the severity of the inflammation. It may include :
- Rest: It is essential to rest the hand to allow the tendons to repair.
- Ice: Applying ice several times a day can help reduce inflammation.
- Anti-inflammatories: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
- Physiotherapy: A physiotherapist can teach you specific exercises to strengthen the hand muscles and improve mobility.
- Corticosteroid injections: In the event of persistent pain, corticosteroids may be injected.
- Surgery: In the most serious cases, surgery may be considered.
How can palmar tendonitis be prevented?
To prevent palmar tendonitis, it is important to :
- Take regular breaks during repetitive activities.
- Wear splints to relieve the tendons.
- Strengthen hand muscles with specific exercises.
- Adapt your workstation to avoid awkward postures.

Tendons
The tendon would slip, Out of his grasp, It did not matter, He had another. He twisted his arm, To reveal the flesh, Dug in the knife, And pulled one out fresh.
