-PLEASE READ- HEY so if you've known me since I was 14 you know that my favourite band/people in the world are Tegan and Sara. I talk about them a lot, post about them on social media and have annoyed everyone close to me at some point with just HOW MUCH I love these guys. When I was 14 and weird and being bullied they were my shoulder to cry on, when I needed to escape from my brain, their music enveloped me whole into an intricate puzzle of their creativity. When I came to terms with my queerness they were there with open arms and constant support with practical information for me to live my best life. They have always been my beaming light of inspiration in the dark. I understand how cheesy this can sound if you're a person who has always had support and guidance for every part of your life from the people around you, but for me as an at risk teen, I had them. And I still do. Their foundation, the @teganandsarafoundation is putting forward that emotional support I relied on into practical resources. THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR THE ECONOMIC JUSTICE, HEALTH AND REPRESENTATION FOR LGBTQ+ WOMEN AND GIRLS. AND I believe that every person who cares about me, should care about this foundation just as much.
