ESP32 ItsyBitsy is in final testing zOne!
OK, after a long hiatus, the ESP32 Itsy Bitsy prototypes are built and ready for testing! We first designed this board Feb 20, 2020 - and it's been waiting oh so patiently for its turn. The ESP32 Pico module packs 8 MB of flash and 2 MB of PSRAM. Despite its small size this board can handle fairly complex programs. This board is very small but has lots of pins, with a USB-serial converter, NeoPixel, reset and user button, Stemma QT connector, and a 5V-logic output specifically for driving NeoPixels. to do my final 'all in one' test we're reading temperature and humidity from an I2C sensor, sending it to IO, then reading back the onboard NeoPixel color from the dashboard. It's an excellent way to make sure the whole thing is working the way we like. Last up, we'll do a low-power test, and then it'll be ready for fabrication!

¿Ya vieron los nuevos meseros?
En el Costanera Center y Parque Arauco asistieron unos días un par de robots meseros llamados KettyBot y BellaBot, entregando pedido y brindando ayuda.
Estos robots son exportaciones de China diseñadas para facilitar la entrega de platos de la cocina a los meseros. Y claro, también son excelentes anfitriones por su atractivo y la capacidad de programarlos para la interacción con clientes. 
Además de trasladar platos desde la cocina a las mesas, los robots son capaces contar chistes o cantar un "cumpleaños felíz". Lo que resulta un excelente forma para atraer clientes.

Mars presents a host of unique challenges, and our current space suit designs, made for the relatively milder environment of space and the Moon, need significant upgrades to ensure the safety and functionality of astronauts on the Red Planet.
The martian challenge
Mars is a world of extremes. Temperatures can plummet to -195 degrees Fahrenheit (-125 degrees Celsius) at night and rise to a comparatively balmy 70 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) during the day. The atmosphere is thin, with about 1% of Earth's atmospheric pressure, and it’s composed mainly of carbon dioxide. Dust storms can engulf the planet, reducing visibility and posing a risk to both equipment and humans.
Key features of Mars space suits
Thermal control: Mars' temperature swings require a suit with advanced thermal regulation. Unlike on Earth, where clothing adjusts to our relatively stable environment, Martian suits must keep astronauts warm in freezing conditions and cool when temperatures rise.
Pressure management: with the thin Martian atmosphere, maintaining appropriate pressure inside the suit is vital. This prevents the bodily fluids from boiling and keeps astronauts alive.
Dust protection: martian dust is incredibly fine and pervasive. It can get into electronics and damage them. Suits need to be dust-resistant and easily cleanable to avoid malfunctioning.
Mobility and dexterity: Mars missions will involve a lot of physical activity, from collecting samples to building habitats. Suits must allow for a full range of motion and precision in hand movements.
