The Runaway Scientist
DP x DC Prompt
There is a young man running around the world. Normally, this wouldn't be a cause for concern for the Justice League, but this young man isn't an ordinary person. This young man is someone who rivals the greatest minds the League has to offer, who has tech with him that's very advanced, despite being made of everyday appliances, with a clean source of energy that no one knows of, no one but the young man they are chasing.
Batman was the first to encounter him in Gotham. The young man was doing something in an abandoned warehouse, and the Bats caught wind of it. Batman tried to interrogate the young man on what he was doing, but instead, he found himself flipped over and pinned down himself. The young man had realized who he pinned down and quickly fled with most of what he had. The only thing left behind was a high-tech belt. When they analyzed the belt, it was revealed to be a personal shield that could withstand a full force kryptonion punch with minor cracks on it.
Then, he began to be encountered by other League members across the US for a few months before he was sighted in other countries.
Now, it's become a race against time, as the League needs to get to the young man who may be an upcoming genius scientist, as their enemies caught wind of him.
Danny is on the run. The GIW had killed his family and friends to get to him when they learned that he was Phantom. His parents had just accepted him as Phantom as well. He took all of his parents' research and tools and destroyed the portal. He's using the Fenton Crammer to store the bigger things in a Thermos, like the Ops Center, the finished model of the Ecto Skeleton, the Fenton ATV, the GAV, the Fenton Submarine, the Specter Speeder, and the Prototype of the Fenton Rocket. He thought he could hide out in Gotham for a bit, but then he had to attack Batman, the adrenaline from escaping Amity and his training from when Pandora and his other mentors for him, Clockwork said that he needs training in martial arts because he is the Ghost King, and a King needs to defend himself. So he ran again, not knowing he left a modified Specter Deflector behind.
And now that he's on the run from the Justice League because he attacked a founding member, not knowing that the Justice League just wants to talk and maybe make him a scientist (plus the Batfam trying to convince Batman that this isn't someone to adopt). He now has to deal with the bad guys of the Justice League wanting him, as well as the GIW and the Justice League, his most recent encounter? A very old Fruitloop with ectoplasm in him that's the equivalent of Fast Food for Ghosts who wants him as his Heir, all because he easily bested the Fruitloop in a fight.

Sex Pollen w/ Gojo
Tumblr media
Satoru Gojo x fem!reader
warnings! porn with plot, dub-con but reader enjoys it, age gap, sex pollen, voyeurism(?), i was gonna make it a lot worse i dunno what happened lol (please let me know if i missed any!)
synopsis! gojo brings you on a mission where you encounter a cursed spirit with an odd technique...
wc: 2.5K not proofread
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are truly grateful for Gojo. He only became a teacher at Jujutsu Tech when you were in your third, final year but he was so good to you, helping you however he could. You looked up to him. You had a little crush on him, but it was nothing more than a silly schoolgirl crush.
Right after graduation he took you under his wing completely. Taking you on missions all the time, suggesting even more ways to improve your technique. He always had your back. You had a true mentor-mentee relationship, but you got along as friends too. Sure you found Gojo attractive, who wouldn't, but that's all it was now.
That was over two years ago. It was still the same as always. Gojo called you up earlier that morning to invite you along on a mission. He often did, knowing you didn't get many on your own. You weren't near the same grade he is. Plus, he enjoys having your company.
"Do you know what we're up against, Gojo-Sensei?" You ask him. The two of you walk down a noisy but lowly populated side street side by side. He's still dressed in his teacher uniform, reminding you of the older days.
"How many times do I have to tell you to drop the Sensei title?" Gojo pouts, putting on an overdramatic frown. He reaches a large, slender hand over to you and pinches your plush cheek. He snickers at your whine. "I'm not your teacher anymore."
You whine as Gojo pinches your cheek. You swat his hand away. He relents, knowing you couldn't actually overpower him in any sense. "Fine, Gojo," you mumble.
"Better," Gojo hums. He opens his mouth to say something else, likely some snide comment, but he cuts himself off. He straightens his posture as the two of you stand at the beginning of a dark alleyway. "We're here."
You peer into the deep alleyway. It's dark due to the night, hard to tell what's down there from the entrance. On one side is an abandoned building with a lot of smashed windows, odd scents wafting out of them. On the other is a brothel, muted noises of sex spilling from behind the walls that should be thicker.
You grimace at the noises. You can only imagine what sort of curse spirit has been brought into existence in a place like this. The intense feelings of rage and lust manifesting into a spirit they had to call Gojo to take care of didn't sit right with you.
"Are you okay?" Gojo's surprisingly soft voice brings you out of your daze. You look up at him with big eyes. "You can stay out here if you want. I got it covered."
"No!" You interject without even thinking. Sure, Gojo playfully judges and mocks you, but you know he never means it. Still, you don't want to appear weak in front of him. You take in a deep breath and look up at him. "I'm coming."
"Then come on," he says, returning to his usual cheery voice. He motions for you to follow as he walks into the alley. You do, feeling a shiver run down your spine as the world behind you disappears.
It doesn't take long for a cursed spirit to appear in front of you two. It's big, and radiates a lot of cursed energy. Probably a first grade, nothing Gojo can't handle. It's a variety of shades of red and has weird heart eyes. It has both male and female parts, thankfully not very detailed.
Gojo throws an arm in front of you to distance you from the curse. "Somethings off," he says in a low voice. You couldn't tell. It felt like any other spirit to you.
He tells you to stay put for now before charging at it. He easily dodges all its attacks, weird red and pink mists that sparkle even in the dark light. It goes on for a while before Gojo grows bored and summons his cursed technique.
The curse must be smarter than either of you anticipated. Sensing the special grade sorcerer about to make a move that will easily end the fight, it changes its target to you.
Gojo senses it in no time. He stops his cursed technique before jumping in front of you to protect you. The curse launches its cursed technique again before either of you have time to react.
It somehow seeps into Gojo's limitless, mingling with his senses. His breath grows heavy as his cheeks dust pink.
"Gojo?" you murmur with worry. You reach a hand out for him, unsure of what the curse has done to him.
He turns his back to the cursed spirit, completely ignoring its presence. But you catch the way it snickers and moans behind him.
Gojo looks down at you through his blindfold. You look him up and down for signs of what's happening when you notice the very obvious, big bulge growing under his uniform.
"I'm sorry," he mutters before he has you pinned to the wall in a second. Your breasts press flat against the cold brick wall. You can feel Gojo's hard body pressed against your back as he pins your hands above your head. His bulge presses between your asscheeks.
"Gojo!" You screech when you realize what's happening. He ruts his hips against yours, moaning at the friction. "It- the cursed spirit is getting away!"
He doesn't even look when you turn your head toward the curse fleeing further into the dark alley, right out of sight. Its cursed technique seems to be doing exactly what it wanted.
"I'm sorry," he repeats. His hot breath fans over your ear. He releases your wrists to grab onto your hips with an iron-like hold. He spins you around so you're facing him, slamming your back against the wall, knocking the breath from your lungs.
His big hands grab onto the fabric of your shirt. He doesn't bother fumbling with the buttons, opting to tear the fabric right off your body.
"Gojo!" you protest again, trying to grab his attention. "What's happening, why are you-" you ramble in a panic before he cuts you off.
He takes off his blindfold, revealing his shining blue eyes. Only, they aren't shining. They're dull, clouded with lust.
He shoves the fabric into your mouth, shutting you right up. Your protests and building whines turn muffled from the makeshift gag.
"Shh, shh," he coos. His tone was gentle, and it would've made your heart flutter in any other sexual encounter. But his actions and gaze didn't match his soft voice. "Just need to fuck whatever this is out of my system and I'll be all good."
He gets down on his knees in front of you and your eyes go wide. He grabs onto the hem of your skirt, pushing it up so it bunches around your hips. "So glad you wore a skirt today," he purrs. He licks his lips at the clear view of your panties.
He wishes he could savour his time more with you, but he needs this. He grabs your panties and slides them down to rest around your ankles. His eyes turn hungrier as he gazes at your bare cunt.
He turns his eyes up to look at you as a smirk grows on his face. "Already wet?" he taunts. He runs a slender finger over your slit, spreading your slick around. "Does the thought of getting fucked by your mentor like this really arouse you that much?" He lets out a chuckle but it's darker than normal.
He leans in closer to run his tongue along your slit. He laps at your clit while looking up at him. He tightens his grip on your hips when you begin to squirm in his hold.
He pulls back to tut at you when he catches your hand before you can hit him. "Now, now," he taunts. "I'm being nice and patient to prepare you to take my cock. It hurts so bad and is so overwhelming, but I still want to make it feel good for you too. So be a good girl and take it?"
You drop your hand back to your side obediently. You wouldn't say you don't like the way it feels, and when you think about it, you like that it's Gojo and not someone else. Maybe your crush on him never did entirely go away.
No, you're embarrassed it feels so good. He's hardly done anything and you're already worked up. But it still feels wrong, doing it in an alleyway where it feels like you were both forced into doing this.
Your thoughts are cut short when you feel his tongue enter your dripping cunt. Your back arches off the wall, pressing yourself against his face. He smirks against your folds as he wiggles his tongue in deeper, pressing against your gummy walls.
Your hand shoots down to tangle in his white hair. He groans when you tug at his strands. He replaces his tongue with two long fingers, curling them inside you. You can't help but moan lewdly when they hit your g-spot.
Gojo pulls back to look up at your face, stilling his fingers. Tinted cheeks, hooded eyes filled with need that weren't quite as bad as his own. His own face drips your arousal sticking from his nose to his chin. His skilled tongue licks it all clean.
"I think that's enough," he coos. He withdraws his fingers, ignoring the way your cunt clenches to try to keep him inside. He brings his fingers to his lips, humming when he tastes you again. "I think you're wet enough to take me, right babygirl?"
Before he rises back to his feet he grabs onto the waistband of your skirt, pulling it down to rest around your ankles with your panties. "There," he rumbles. "Now I can see your pretty pussy perfectly."
His long fingers dip into the cavern of your mouth - really, an unnecessary move but he likes the way you struggle to fit his fingers and blindfold - to pull out his blindfold. He whips it around to get some of your saliva off before stuffing it in his pocket for now.
"Be vocal for me," he purrs. His large hands plant themselves around your hips and before you can react he has you facing the wall again. "Hits deeper this way," he grunts.
He places one hand on the small of your back to keep you still against the wall even as you try to squirm. You can hear the sound of a belt buckle being undone before leather hits the ground behind you.
Next comes the sound of a zipper before his pants and boxers fall around his thighs. He doesn't bother taking them off any further, groaning the moment his painfully erect cock is freed.
He grabs both of your hips again in a tight hold, pulling your ass away from the wall to stick out. Your breath hitches when you feel the swollen tip tease your slick entrance. "It's okay," he soothes, but there's something else in his voice, no doubt the result of the cursed technique. "I'll try to go as slow as I can, make it feel good for you too."
At a slow, almost tender pace he easily slides his dick inside your warm cunt. He lets out a loud moan when his tip is fully inside. He hooks his knees between yours to keep your thighs spread when you try to close them. You can't see the size or shape of his dick, but he feels big. Even being so turned on the stretch still hurts.
He presses his back against your chest for a better angle. He continues to slide his cock in inch by inch. "Almost there," he grunts. "Fuckk," he groans when his cock is fully seated between your walls.
You can feel his mushroom tip brushing against your cervix. He's even longer than he is thick. You can feel his tip kiss your cervix with every slow thrust he starts with.
"Feels good now, yeah?" he asks. Your walls flutter as any pain disappears. When you nod he begins to rut his hips faster. You can feel the snap of his hips against your ass with every thrust as he speeds up to an ungodly pace.
He's fucking you on a primal level at this point. You can't help but blame the cursed spirit. His slow, caring pace has been replaced with fast and hard thrusts. His heavy balls slap against your clit with every movement.
"Fuckkk," he draws out in a loud moan. His hands move away from your hips to grab your bra clasp. He undoes it, but leaves the article hanging loosely on your arms.
He reaches around to toy with your breasts, kneading the flesh and pinching your nipples. He smirks at the way your back arches from his touch. His lips move to your neck to suck on the sensitive flesh. He nips wildly, leaving marks.
His thrusts become erratic and even faster if possible. Of course it is, it's Satoru Gojo. "I'm close," he grunts right next to your ear. "Gonna cum inside, kay?"
You can't respond, too fucked out. He can tell by the way you're a moaning mess, tongue lulled out of the mouth. He's glad you can't protest, wanting to cum inside you bad.
His thrusts become sloppy, hips rutting into your ass at uneven pace. He can feel the tightening in his balls. He lets go of your tits, grabbing your hip with one hand. His other hand snakes around your front to rub your clit.
"Come on, cum too," he growls. His tip hits the perfect spot inside your gummy walls even with his sloppy pace. The added stimulation on your clit is all you need.
You cum all around his cock, clenching down on his length like a vice. He hisses in pleasure as he feels the sticky liquid coat his cock. "Good girl," he coos. He retracts his hand from your clit but keeps thrusting, needing his own release.
His hands grab your hips hard, bruising them. The way your pussy clenches from your orgasm sends him over the edge. He releases his load inside your cunt as he continues to thrust, fucking his cum into you.
He pants as he eases his hold on your hips. He slowly withdraws his softening cock from your pulsating walls. He looks down with satisfaction from the sight of your combined cum dripping down your thighs and onto the ground.
He pulls up his own pants and boxers to tuck his dick back inside. He crouches down behind you to pull up your skirt and panties, trapping his cum inside of you. He clasps your bra for you.
He spins you around to face him, looking with some guilt at your spent face. He strokes your cheek so you gaze up at him with hazy eyes. "I'm sorry, sweetheart," he repeats.
"I'll take you back to your house and get you all cleaned up," he reassures. "Then I'll come back to get the cursed spirit on my own after."

Evaluating the Bad Batch members by BoyDad vs. GirlDad-ness
Tumblr media
Wanted to take a quick look at how well I think each Bad Batch brother would do as a BoyDad versus as a GirlDad. These are just my opinions. Feel free to share your own thoughts!
Hunter: 50-50
Obviously, he's Omega's dad, so he gets major GirlDad points there, but I could see him being just as good of a BoyDad. Like, if Omega had been a boy, he would've done just as good of a job, if not better.
He seemed to bond with the cadets well enough in 3.02 "Paths Unknown." Plus, he's probably the closest thing his brothers had to a dad for ... well, pretty much their whole lives. He probably felt like a dad trying to keep up with Wrecker's energy and pyromania, Crosshair's brooding and snarky attitude, and Tech's ... Tech-ness.
(EDIT: Also @lemariz reminded me that Hunter’s Dad Instincts kicked in pretty naturally when he was talking to Caleb in 1.01 “Aftermath.” I really think he would’ve done just as good of a job at being a BoyDad. And, again, he basically was for his brothers.)
I imagine that, post-finale, Hunter keeps a close eye on the cadets. Maybe he even becomes their de facto guardian too until they reach biological adulthood in a few years.
But, obviously, raising Omega would remain his priority.
Wrecker: 75% BoyDad, 25% GirlDad
I really think Wrecker would be a better BoyDad. Or at least, that he would take to being a BoyDad more naturally.
Not that he couldn't be a GirlDad, but like he does with Omega, I think he would be more comfortable doing more boy-coded or at least unisex-coded activities. He would definitely enjoy playing tag or any other games, doing other physical activities like swimming and building sandcastles, and generally just running around having fun.
I don't know how he would do with like, playing with dolls, dressing up, doing hair and/or nails, etc. I don't think he would be lacking in enthusiasm, but he would definitely be more comfortable playing rough-and-tumble games and whatnot.
I also wonder how he would handle Omega hitting puberty. Suddenly the kid he played with is gone, and now he's got this moody teenage girl to deal with. (I honestly don't think Omega would be that moody of a teenager, but I'm sure there would be some ups and downs the whole family would have to navigate.)
I honestly think post-finale Wrecker would spend a lot of time with the cadets while they're still "kids," and be a big brother/mentor to them as he is to Omega.
He seemed to bond with them very quickly in 3.02, and since Hunter and Crosshair will be focused on Omega, Wrecker might feel like he should take on the job of looking after the cadets. Maybe he would even become their de facto guardian, that way Hunter can spend more time with Omega.
Crosshair: 100% GirlDad
Let's be real, fam. Crosshair would not do well as a BoyDad.
He is 100% GirlDad material.
I'm sure that if Crosshair ever had a biological son or if he officially adopted a boy, that he would love him. But, I really can't see Crosshair throwing himself into the Star Wars equivalent of Hot Wheels or wrestling, the way he would absolutely throw himself into things like braiding Omega's hair or listening to the Star Wars equivalent of Taylor Swift with her.
Heck, even if Omega wasn't in the picture for some reason, I bet he'd do better at raising a biological daughter than a biological son. I don’t think he would take to being a BoyDad at all — like it definitely would not come naturally to him.
I really can't explain why, aside from telling you that Crosshair's personality and character arc remind me a lot of my own dad, who's 100% a GirlDad. I'm his only biological child, but judging by his relationships with my stepsiblings when we were all kids, my dad never really took up the BoyDad mantle for my stepbrother. He was 100% a GirlDad for me and, to a much smaller degree, my stepsister.
So, I imagine Crosshair would be the exact same way.
I'm sure post-finale Crosshair can tolerate spending time with the cadets. Heck, he might even like them in small doses. But, if Hunter ever asked him, "Would you rather spend the day with the cadets or Omega?", you know Crosshair would respond, "What kind of stupid question is that?"
Echo: 90% BoyMom, 10% GirlMom
Because the fandom has officially declared Echo a mom (lol), I'm saying Echo is a BoyMom by default.
The guy has spent 99% of his life dealing with his brothers' bullshit, saving their asses from danger and asking them if they packed a lunch before going off on dangerous missions.
I don't think he was a bad "mom" to Omega before he joined Rex's clone underground, but even post-finale, I can't really see him readily doing "girly" things with/for her the way I imagine Hunter and Crosshair would.
By the way, I think post-finale Echo would basically be Omega's "godmother." Someone who's like a parent, and can step into that role if needed, but who isn't around all the time. He's an extended family member by this point, but he would definitely be the first person the Batch would call if something happened.
Tech: ???
I honestly have no idea about Tech. He doesn't really strike me as either BoyDad or GirlDad material.
I always saw his relationship with Omega as an uncle-turned-big brother. He definitely cared about her, but he never really connected with her until 2.10 "The Crossing." After that, I think they were much closer, but they didn't get to develop that bond much more because he died shortly after. 🫠😭
I really see Tech as more of a teacher/professor than a parent. And if he was a professor, I have no doubt he could successfully teach students of any gender, or general demographic.
But, feel free to disagree with me. I like Tech, but there are plenty of fans who love him more than I do, and might have their own thoughts.
As I said: I welcome friendly debate and discussion on any or all of these points! 😇

Dumbass Mentors Poll Series 003
Feel free to share reasoning in comments!
My answer: Gestella. I can totally see her with a furrowed brow trying to figure out what she's doing and being cutely confused. Poor lady. She might have Mei helping her sometimes or even Pluton.
Plus, she's old, like 50+ if not closer to 60, and doesn't seem interested in keeping up with a lot of circumstances (except her fashion sense LOL).
It would be so cute if she's fiddling with tech and Pluton peers over her shoulder, squinting at the social media she's trying to look at. Adorable.

Very long Ninjago Movie/Show Comparison
Summarized version at the bottom
Bored and just finished a good chunk of the Garmadon Arch in the Ninjago show, so I thought I'd write my comparisons between that and the movie.
Tumblr media
Don't take my opinion too seriously, I haven't finished the show, I've only been able to get parts of season 1 and I think all of season 2 (not entirely sure if I missed anything in season 2 tbh, I gotta find the full series) and of course the movie. Since I know I'm missing info, I'm only comparing what I'm referring to as the Garmadon Arch of the show with the movie.
Spoilers for both under the cut (even though they've both been out forever)
Starting with Lloyd, the OG, the Green Ninja.
Tumblr media
Although I prefer the personality and character of the movie Lloyd, the show Lloyd has much cooler abilities. I find it kind of off that show Lloyd is basically a 7 or 8 year old trapped in a 16 year old's body (I don't remember the exact ages, but I know he's like 10 years younger than he looks.) I find that iffy because I always have problems with kids getting too much responsibility in media, ESPECIALLY when they're under the age of 15 (15-18 is a gray area depending on the situation because kids that age are a lot more independent.) I do prefer the movie Lloyd take on that, he is actually the age he looks. BUT his powers suck, that part of movie Lloyd is just dumb. Movie Lloyd with show Lloyd abilities would have been awesome.
Tumblr media
Nya imo sucks in both in different ways, mainly because to me, she feels purely like a man's attempt at writing a badass woman without actually caring about or even liking women. Show Nya has her tech savvy-ness and is a decent fighter, and I do think she's better than movie Nya, but as far as development, she just feels like she's only tech support and an occasional maiden in distress, not important at all, which is sad. I do think she gets better development in later seasons, but not sure cuz I haven't seen em yet. Movie Nya felt a little more like a real person than show Nya did, I do appreciate that she's included in the gang from the get go there, but she has a very written-by-a-man feel, like they leaned into all of the tom boy stereotypes for the movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm gonna talk about Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay together because my opinions on them is about the same for each character. They just SUCK in the movie. Example, show Zane has a whole development of finding out he's a robot and coming to terms with it, he also has a father kind of. Plus show Ninjas accepting him after finding out without hesitation is so nice for kids to see. Movie Zane just kinda feels like a joke in comparison to show Zane. Like he's only there for robot gags (which are funny occasionally, but it just doesn't compare to the depth of show Zane.) Show Kai had growth with finding his sister, show Jay and show Cole had growth of their own, their familes were present and relevant unlike in the movie, they feel more real and are more interesting in the show. In the movie? They're just kind of. There. Movie Cole is okay, I do enjoy his method of fighting with music and DJing, but movie Zane, movie Kai, and movie Jay just suck, no good qualities. And the DJing isn't a big redeeming quality for movie Cole. They have funny lines, which I'll get to later, but there's just. Nothing to their characters in the movie, nothing interesting, nothing worth paying attention to, they're sad filler.
Tumblr media
Next up, let's talk about Wu. Honestly he's kind of the same on a surface level in both. I do like that movie Wu has a bit more of a childish/fun side (especially when it comes to his brother, which I'll get to later.) But there's nothing I really dislike about show Wu either. They're both pretty well done mentor characters, but they are different in their overall character. Movie Wu is a bit more playful, show Wu is more serious and level headed, they both have differences to they're back stories and relationships. I think they're both good but different.
Tumblr media
Have a lego cat GIF because I couldn't find any GIFs for the next character
And next, Lloyd's mother... I have a LOT of thoughts about her because she's completely different in both of them, she even has different names in both and I can't remember either of them well enough rn. (Cut me a break, it's late at night.) Movie Mom is a fairly decent fictional mom, she cares for her kid and supports his Ninja endeavors, she punches Garmadon and holds him by his shirt collar to get info from him, she made sacrifices for her kid, I think she's just fine. Show Mom bugs me in a way that is hard to put into words. I know that they explain why she abandoned Lloyd, but the entire thing felt so brushed under the rug and dismissed too easily. She wanted to research about the prophecy he was in, sure, and maybe there wasn't a way to safely do that with Lloyd in her care, but it just seemed so poorly explained and then never brought up again. Lloyd was so mad at her (understandably) for disappearing his whole life and then showing up again, expecting full Mom treatment, and then just let's it go almost immediately when the explanation was extremely meh. She also felt a little weird to me, like she was sometimes a maiden in distress (fine Ig), but sometimes she could kick ass? Like she can do spin jitsu and beat up a bunch of soldiers but she can't pull herself up on some stairs. She felt a bit inconsistent and bland in the Garmadon Arch of the show, Idk, maybe she gets better later on, but I prefer her movie counterpart. The movie counterpart isn't perfect, but at least she didn't abandon her son and feels more consistent.
Tumblr media
Next up, let's talk Garmadon. There's positives and downsides to both the movie and show version. I LOVE Garmadon's relationship portrayal in the movie because it's hilarious. He acts exactly like a distant father with Lloyd, a weird ex with the Mom, and like a classic little brother with Wu. Granted, movie Garmadon is also a more childish comparison to show Garmadon, but I think it's fun in this scenario. Show Garmadon does have some weird ex moments and distant but caring dad moments with Lloyd, which I do like a lot, they were very well done. The show relationships were more serious with him but less entertaining. Not bad, just different.
Tumblr media
WHERE THE TF IS THIS GIF FROM??? It's not from the movie but I thought I watched all the parts of him like this in the show, did I miss an episode in season 1-2 with this??
His character in both is good for the most part. I prefer show Garmadon being more on the true villian side, with a more serious back story. Especially the way he cycles through henchmen and forced workers until he ends up a host for the Overlord. But I do still enjoy the movie Garmadon's portrayal with the comedic, cartoony-villain-that-always-comes-back vibe. I also prefer parts of his character development. I don't like that show Garmadon was just kind of Magically Un-evil after the Overlord was defeated. It felt a bit disappointing, especially because it kind of wiped his character clean and cut off chances for growth there. The movie Garmadon explores that element of conquering the evil without that luck, Garmadon in the movie has to work through his dark thoughts and issues to become a better person because it isn't magically taken away from him. Granted, some of that work is done off screen, but it's still done and it's more satisfying than show Garmadon just getting magically fixed. Plus Garmadon as a normal Lego piece and not 4 armed with dark skin just feels wrong.
I kinda wish that the elements of the two had mixed, because show Garmadon has a better starting point and overall plot leading to getting himself in trouble with the Overlord, but movie Garmadon is a bit more fun and has a more satisfying ending to his story.
That's all the character comparisons I wanted to do. There's a few more elements I want to touch on here.
Tumblr media
Next up, background characters/world building. Infinitely better in the show. It's just kind of bland in the movie. Granted, there's less time to develop it in the movie, but it's still meh. The show city has so much story and depth to it, with reoccurring background characters and side villains. Sometimes they feel a little forced, but overall, they're so much more interesting. The only world building the movie got was some cliche dangerous forest and city settings, then the ultimate weapons (which are pretty dumb.) Show wins for sure here.
The story for the show is better too. It is more serious and real, and besides the issues I had with characters development, it's far superior to the movie's story. It does have a very monster of the week vibe sometimes, but that's kind of inevitable with shows like this. And it's not done badly at all. The movie story doesn't feel very thought out. Besides the character development, it just feels like they tried to pick out stuff that sounded like cool Ninja stuff and then fit it somewhere along. It isn't bad per se? Just not as good as the show in terms of plot.
A bad element of the show plot and story is that it does get convoluted and is probably littered with plot holes I have yet to notice. But I still prefer it.
The comedy of them both are different too. They both are capable of making me laugh for different reasons. Movie has more killer lines and fun mishaps that can just make you crack up. L-loyd? L-l-o-y-d, I named you. How could I ruin your life, I wasn't even there! Absolutely iconic. That and Garmadon's interactions with Wu and Lloyd are almost always funny, Wu and Garmadon have a more childish brother relationship (which cracks me up, as someone with brothers who act exactly like them) and Lloyd and Garmadon have plenty of fun yet fitting moments too. And the background movie Ninjas have some funny lines and moments too, despite being reduced to filler. (Told you I'd get back to that.)
That's not to say the show ISN'T funny, it certainly is. There are moments I cracked up laughing, they're just less memorable in the show. I can't qoute any of them. Kai timetraveling to talk to Kai in the mirror is fun, but I couldn't tell you details about it. Because it focuses more on the plot, it has a different feel to it, which is entirely fine and isn't negative at all. I just remember more from the movie because the comedic lines from it stand out more.
Also sorry for your attention spans, I ran out of GIF slots.
TLDR
To summarize, I think that the show is better in the terms of longstanding stories and plot, but there are things the movie did just as good in or better. The movie was probably written to be more of a parody of the show, and they are VERY different. I understand why fans of the show HATED the movie: It's completely different and rewrote a lot.
I don't think either of them are bad, they're just different. But I do think the creators of the movie messed up and betrayed the fans quite a bit in the movie take. But I am still glad the movie exists because it is iconic anyway.
My opinion may change as I get further into the show, because it looks like the characters and story get better as it goes on and a lot of the issues I had get addressed or fixed.
Side note: When looking for GIFs for the post to help people's attention span, I found GIFs of characters with the movie designs and feels (specifically Zane's over robot feel) that were done in show animation?? What's the deal with that, guess I'll find out...

Spider-Man Jaw•Va Project | The Mentors
Lately, I've been reading a bunch of the Venom comics and just hanging my head. I don't have any solid rewrites or anything like that, but I can play around with the characters. Unorganized rambles below the read more. My thoughts are a jumbled mess which cannot be tamed when I have just so many of them.
Peter isn't actually important to this at all, but it feels wrong not to include the main guy himself. So, first off, @yotakuboi, your Spider-Man redesigns are everything to me. Thank you 🙏🏾 I always thought it was weird/wrong to have the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man become a tech billionaire CEO. It feels so against everything the character stands for. Could he do it? Oh, absolutely. But WOULD HE? Everyone and their mom has thrown around the idea of high school teacher Peter Parker, and I am no different. I think Peter works best as a "little guy," and a teacher gives him a place to inspire people outside of hero work. Plus, it gives him the opportunity to be a mentor to Miles but more on that later. I'm picturing everyone's favorite Science teacher who is also in charge of robotics club and the annual science fair. More organized, sorta, but still runs around like a madman to make the whole superhero thing work. But you can like tell he's practiced. Probably still struggles to pay the bills on time. Lives mainly on cheap take-out. I love the way his black suit design in Venom War makes it look likes he's got white fingers.
Eddie Brock is still an anti-hero in this. He probably still accidentally kills bad guys if they piss him or his other off, but he's trying really, really hard to keep them alive, honest. I always thought King in Black was a step too far for Eddie, but then again, I've never been a big fan of established characters becoming gods. I think he'd switch between working with Liz Allan/Alchemax (or against them, depending on the week), helping out the Agents of the Cosmos, and making sure his son is going to school and generally staying out of trouble. We believe in Good Dad Eddie superiority. He still worries about Venom's anger. They're more honest with each other, but he can tell his partner doesn't tell him everything. It sort of fuels his inferiority complex, esp regarding Flash [(nothing too serious; he's working on it) I never was a fan of writers acting like Flash was a waaaaaay better host than Eddie and giving him grief about it; however, just a sprinkle can be an interesting character conflict]. I want to make his design wider. Big fan of wide work-out buff Eddie.
Venom can form independent of Eddie (as established in Space Knight) but has to return to him, or any host, every so often to live. He probably still doubts his place in the Brock family every now and then thanks to lingering insecurities left behind by Tel-Kar, Spider-Man, and the Klyntar. He's learning to talk it out, though usually with Flash, Pik, or the other Agents since he doesn't want to give Eddie any more reason to doubt him. Loves going on space adventures with the gang but hates leaving his children behind. Dotes on Pik's daughter Hilla. Feels more parental towards Dylan and Sleeper than his past spawn. Probably embarrasses them a lot too. Trying to repair his relationship with Toxin. Can speak in whole sentences but likes cutting them short for fun/ease. I like how the spider insignia changes over time/hosts. Tried to quickly jot down my thoughts on it.
Flash Thompson is still dead and resurrected. Like Eddie, Flash bounces from thing to thing but does not work with Alchemax. He keeps an eye out for Carnage activity on earth. He made lasting friendships with the Agents of the Cosmos and does work with them every now and then. He always has Andi in tow; she's become a surrogate daughter to him and he vows to never abandon her like he did the first time he ran off to space with the Guardians. Besties with Pik Rollo. Trying to get 803 some new hobbies. Somewhat struggling not to flounder when there's no hero work for him to do. Still thinks he has to make up for his bully years even though he's well-regarded by just about everyone he's ever met in the time since. Not the best with relationships despite exuding charm/allure (he does not acknowledge this). Loves TV/movies and making references to them. Great mentor. Still besties with Venom and will watch Sleeper and Dylan for him if not busy. Something of a weird mentor/dad to Bren [(shared with Eddie) Toxin feels more comfortable with Flash] since Ozkar's not the best role model. Could cover Flash's prosthetics, but I love when artists just leave them out in the open. Love that 803 canonically made him legs in Space Knight.

batfam meeting minutes: the one where jayne tries to explain herself
sits backward on chair in the middle of the batcave, spinning slightly and munching on a bag of chips that definitely came from Alfred's "emergency snack" cabinet
Damian: Todd, explain your presence immediately. You're getting crumbs everywhere.
Dick: I think what Damian means is, we're all a little curious about your... situation.
Bruce: brooding silence
Me, with my mouth full: My what now?
Tim, not looking up from his laptop: Your existence. How you're... you know... Jayne instead of Jason. The whole revival thing.
Jason, leaning against a wall with arms crossed: Yeah, I'd like to know that too, considering I'm standing right here. This some kind of multiverse bullshit?
dramatically throws hands up, sending chips flying everywhere
Oh THAT! Yeah, I have absolutely no idea. One minute I was, you know, SUPER dead. Like, crowbar-to-the-face, explosion, the whole shebang. Next thing I know I'm waking up in a Lazarus Pit, except I've got... gestures vaguely at entire body all THIS going on.
And then some League of Assassins guy goes "Welcome back to the land of the living, Jayne Todd" and I was like "Sure, whatever" because arguing seemed like a lot of work when my brain was still basically green pit soup.
So now I'm Jayne! Ta-da!
jazz hands
Bruce: deeper brooding silence
Barbara, wheeling in with coffee: So you just... accepted it?
Alfred, appearing with a tray of sandwiches: I believe what Master Bruce is failing to articulate is concern about having two versions of the same person in one timeline.
Duke, grabbing a sandwich: I'm still new here, but even I know this isn't the weirdest thing to happen to this family.
I mean, I was busy having a Lazarus Pit rage episode and planning my dramatic revenge return to Gotham. The gender thing seemed like a minor detail at the time. Plus, turns out having a completely different body is actually super convenient when you're trying to hide from your former mentor who thinks you're still six feet under.
Steph, appearing suddenly: That's the most on-brand thing I've ever heard.
Cass: nods approvingly
Harper, fiddling with some tech: So we've got two Todds now? Double the attitude, double the fun.
Kate, checking her weapons: As long as you both remember who the superior redhead in this family is.
Jason: There can't be two of me. This doesn't make any sense.
shrugs and steals Tim's coffee
Look, I don't ask questions about my weird resurrection situation, and in return, the universe doesn't send me back to being dead. Seems like a fair trade. Now who wants to help me test out the new grappling hooks I "borrowed" from the GCPD evidence locker?
Jason: makes eye contact with me ...I'll bring the ammo.

Backdrop: You and Miles have been best friends since you were babies. Doesn't mean that the friendship never faced some hardships. Pairing: e1610!Miles Morales x fem!spider!reader | e!1610 peter parker x platonic!reader Warnings: None, probably some grammatical errors. A's notes: This is going to be a series that spans both Spider-verse movies. This first chapter is mainly word vomit, laying the foundation for the next chapter. Reader is a spider-person in the story and her powers/suit are that of Aña Corazon. Word count: 2k
You and Miles hadn’t always been joined at the hip. You two had grown up together on the same block which meant your families were close. You both also attended Brooklyn Visions Academy. There was a rough patch you two went through before attending the school. It lasted about two years. Two years of hang outs cut short, excuses and apologies (from you). Thinking back on it, those two years were the absolute worst.
The reason those two years were a rough patch in your friendship with Miles was because you got bit by a radioactive spider and became your universe’s Spider-Girl. Your actual spider name was Araña but the news didn’t care - you were a menace to some like J. Jonah Jameson and Spider Girl sorta stuck.
You were 12 when that happened. There was already a Spider Man, Peter Parker but he gladly took you under his wing. He didn’t mind showing you the ropes. Your powers slightly varied from his. Besides the usual super strength, heightened senses, and all the general arachnid powers, you got the extra boost of organic webbing and camouflage (which you would later teach Miles how to control). Peter did his best to help you. You had grown fond of the mentor that you would later think of as an extension of your family. Peter had started out incredibly protective of you (newsflash, he never stopped being protective). You were 12 for crying out loud! He wasn’t going to throw you into the dangerous streets of New York to figure it all out. He saw how scared you were of your new found powers and what it meant for your future. He made it clear to you from the beginning that your life was never going to be normal or easy moving forward. He didn’t want to lie to you because while being a superhero looked like a lot of fun, it wasn’t always the case. Sacrifices would have to be made in your life for the sake of your anonymity and your loved ones’ safety.
After you got the hang of your basic spider powers (aka about two months), Peter started taking you on patrol with him. He barely let you be near a criminal. After months of patrolling and begging Peter to give you a chance, he let you have an ‘easy’ criminal. You had spent those months prior working out your suit. It differed from Peters iconic style which you admired but you wanted to stand out as your own. You had gone with a different color scheme; opting for black and white to keep it simple. Your insignia was white and was the statement of your suit, looking as if a big white spider was hugging your body. Your mask was something else that vastly differed from Peter’s. Normally, the point of a mask was to make sure your whole face was covered. Never being the type to go the conventional route, your mask covered your eyes, the top and side portions of your face. Besides, your e/c eyes were your most defining feature. Your mask went up to your hairline where it stopped so your hair was flowing in a pony of sorts. Your nose, mouth and ears visible. You had prototypes in which you did have a traditional mask like Peter’s but it was way too constricting and truthfully, you felt claustrophobic in the damn thing. Plus, you had added a heads up display into the mask so as to take calls from your family as well as being able to see in different spectrums of light. You were always tweaking the tech in your mask to add some new feature if you felt it made your superhero life slightly easier.
While Peter knew you could hold your own, he still kept a tight leash on you. While he told you life was going to be hard moving forward, he still wanted you to live your life. He didn’t want you to feel the weight of the world on your shoulders as you were still a kid. As he put it, he wanted you to savor the moments while you still had the opportunity to do so. To experience the things that define your childhood and build relationships that would balance out the hectic and soon to be somber life that came with being a Spider. You had confided in Peter about your friend, Miles. A friend you had drifted from since gaining your powers. Peter had told you that your loved ones would essentially need to be kept at arm’s length because they could possibly be used as leverage by enemies. The thought of your family or friends being caught up in all of it scared you and so you started distancing yourself from them. Your family didn’t get suspicious as they chalked it up to puberty hitting you hard. Peter could see first hand how much it hurt you to lie about such a big part of yourself to Miles, though. He knew your friendship would hit a bump as you tried to balance your hero and normal life.
Miles was different. You had loved the boy deeply. It wasn’t romantic. It was genuine, unconditional love between the two of you. Having grown up together made it easy to say ‘I love you’ and the bond the two of you shared over music and art was deeper than anything you had shared with anyone else. It hurt you when he had that concerned look on his face when he noticed a shift in your demeanor towards him. He was the first person to notice that you weren’t being yourself. That you were lost in something - he just couldn’t know what that was. You had tried to gradually distance yourself from him but it was hard. You two would still hang out but since you committed to your superhero life, you helped the city when you could - even if it meant sacrificing some precious moments with him. You were late to most of your hangouts. You were constantly coming up with half ass excuses and apologizing to him as to why you were late. You hated the look he got on his face every time you showed up late or blurted out an excuse. It hurt him and it didn’t make sense to Miles. He didn’t want to think you were outgrowing him as a friend.
“I’m sorry Miles. Got caught up with…homework.” You winced as you met his eyes.
He knew you were lying. He knew very well that the words coming out of your mouth were absolute bullshit. Your wincing was also cause you got into it with the bad guy of the week and didn’t necessarily walk away scotch free (which Peter scolded you about like the big brother he was).
“It’s alright. I know your family is just as hard on you about school like mine”
He always understood. That was the problem. He didn’t want to lose you so he accepted that whatever was going on with you, it didn’t involve him. He came to terms that maybe whatever you were going through, you wanted to do on your own. He knew you were stubborn like that. He just hoped that you would find your way back to him. His mom had told him that it happens in friendships. Some dissipate while others come back to you after straying for a moment.
As your friendship with Miles suffered the first year of getting your powers, you got the hang of your powers and helped out Peter whenever you could. You started small and as time passed, you showed Peter how valuable you were as a partner in this world. Sure, you had your fair share of mistakes, you were still a kid after all, but you learned from them and always got back up. That’s something you quickly picked up on about being a Spider - you always got back up.
Peter would always let you know if he could handle things on his own or if he was chasing down a lead that left you alone to patrol for a short period of time. Again, he tried to give you time off so you could be a kid. He didn’t mind the company but it was hard for him to see someone so young be thrown into his world. You appreciated the sweet moments you shared with Peter and always smiled when he sent you a text saying to enjoy your Friday night with friends and family because it was a quiet night in Brooklyn.
“Hey Pete?” you broke the comfortable silence you were sharing atop a deli the pair of you frequented on relatively quiet nights of patrolling. He had grabbed a sandwich for the two of you to split.
“Hm?” He hummed as took a bite of his sandwich.
“Thank you,”
“What for, arañita?” his Spanish wasn’t perfect but you loved that he tried and used the spider name you gave yourself.
“For y’know…taking me under your wing” you started, looking to your mentor with genuine love and admiration. “I know it wasn’t easy having to take me on” you chuckled as you bumped your relatively small knee with his bigger one.
“Hey now, where’s this coming from?” He softly knocked your knee in return as he faced you, worried that you were going through something.
“Nowhere! Can’t your awesome spider-pupil tell you she appreciates you without there being an ulterior motive?” you laughed as you took a bite of your sandwich.
At that, he had a smug grin which earned him a slightly harder bump from your knee to his.
“I don’t know…you usually butter me up before asking for something.”
“Well, this isn’t one of those times.” you laugh once more as you look out to the bustling skyline of New York and continue eating your sandwich with pure bliss.
Those were the moments you savored with Peter.
As the months rolled into a year, you oh so slowly began to almost successfully balance your hero and normal life. Your grades had slipped slightly when you got bit but they were on the up and up. Your friendship with Miles was very clearly hanging by a thread. Miles didn’t reach out to you as much and there were more moments of awkward silence between the two of you than you would’ve liked. It wasn’t normal for the two of you to not talk about something. You wanted to let him into your world. So badly. You knew that he would be happy for you and support you like the amazing friend he was. He wouldn’t tell you to quit, he’d tell you to keep going and keep fighting. He probably would help you with upgrading your suit. You hated that you couldn’t share that part of your life with him. It would put him at risk of being used against you. You didn’t want him to be used as some pawn in a villain’s eyes to get to you. Peter could see the toll the secrecy was having on you and tried his best to keep your mind off it if conversations trailed to that territory. It wasn’t like you hadn’t breached the subject of the new ‘Spider-Girl’ to him, though. You brought it up once to gauge his reaction to the whole idea.
“What do you make of the new Spider-Girl swinging around with Spider-man?” You mindlessly asked while scrolling through your phone as a distraction from the studying you and Miles were supposed to be doing.
“Mm, thought she went by Araña?…but not bad, I guess?” he answered, his eyes not leaving his notebook that had his class notes, waiting for his brain to actually absorb the information on the page.
A flutter of your heart. He knows your actual spider name!
“Her suit looks pretty cool..” you nonchalantly commented, your eyes quickly looking to him for a reaction.
“Does look cool with the black and white,” he smiled, his pencil now aimlessly doodling on the margins of his notes. “I think Spider-man’s training her ‘cause maybe he’s getting old…probably wants to hand the reigns to someone younger.” he continued.
“Think she’ll be good at it?”
“Oh yeah.”

DP x DC x Marvel prompt/story
In which both the champions of magic and the rulers of the infinite realms would like to know why a spider child in Gotham is adopted by multiple ancients, gods, and sorcerers. The Batfam wants to know what the adoption bait is doing in their city, and Peter just wants to get home.
Peter’s life hadn’t always been a mess… correction, his life hadn’t always been SUCH a mess, but he’d been pretty screwed since the beginning. His parents died in a plane crash early in his life, he doesn’t remember much of them, maybe that’s why he hadn’t ever been quite as devastated as his aunt and uncle by the news, he couldn’t understand what it meant as a kid, and by the time he did understand, he could only mourn the idea of having parents. He hadn’t understood loss until Uncle Ben had died, he could have stopped it, he SHOULD have stopped it. But he hadn’t known that letting a thief go would lead to him watching someone in his family die in front of him. All thanks to his incompetence and that stupid spider. He still remembers exactly what it looked like, it almost looked like a wolf spider, maybe a tarantula of some kind, but he supposed the radiation may have made it to hard to identify, after all he didn’t know any spiders that had glowing green fur.
“Kid, you should wake up before you get mugged,” the voice of his mentor said. Right, what had happened just before this?
Ah, right, someone with leftover vulture tech or whatever-they-called-it had thought it would be fun to terrorize a park on a perfectly fine Sunday evening. Honestly, there were villains and then there were people like that. Okay- getting off track. The villain had managed to get a few hits on Peter, but he’d gotten them pinned, not before they had time to plant some emitter device though. After that it’s a bit fuzzy, he doesn’t think that anyone else was hurt(thank god) but he wasn’t in the clear just yet. Peter slowly sat up with a groan, he was exhausted, hm, maybe he should listen to hallucination Tony and sleep. He opened his eyes after a short moment, and luckily didn’t need to shield them due to just how dark it was right now, even if he was pretty sure it should be daytime.
“Okay,” he mutters as he looks around, “in an unfamiliar alley, I’d say that’s not to good.”
He stood all the way up and walked to the entrance of said dark and ominous alley so that he’d get a lovely view of some dark and ominous buildings next.
“I don’t think I’m in Kansas anymore,” he says aloud to himself, checking what he had on him, which was a slightly damaged but currently regenerating spider suit, the clothes underneath said spider suit, plus five dollars and seventy-nine cents in spare change. What? Don’t judge him it was hard getting a job without any legal records, recommendations, or anything that would point towards your existence beforehand.
He recalls the spider suit into a small necklace, the way it usually is when he’s not wearing it, and then shakes himself off before walking down the street. He kept an eye out for anything suspicious, and when that included literally everything, he just focused on trying to figure out where he was right now.
A short walk and several suspicious people later, he stood in front of a library. He liked libraries, but who the heck calls their city Gotham and how the heck did he get there?
He sighed before walking in, trying to look casual and most likely failing. He must be doing at least something right because the red headed librarian at the desk didn’t spare him more then a concerned glance when he came in, she seemed nice. Right the computers, well he’d rather die then have an awkward interaction with the librarian he’d just seen, so he walks around a bit, straining his ears until he hears the faint hum of computers.
He sits down in front of a screen and takes off the nanotech necklace-that’s-sometimes-a-suit, hastily changing it to a USB and plugging it in. Karen still wasn’t repaired, even though he’d been working on her nearly nonstop, but luckily the same couldn’t be said for the suit itself. He opens the computer and hopes that the usb will get everything it needs while he waits… well now he’s bored.
With nothing else to do, Peter looks up “Gotham City” in the search bar and clicks on a map. Yes very nice map, but why is he in New Jersey exactly :)
He saw the downloading thingy-tracker was done, so, as he quickly grabbed the usb port, he walked out of the library a bit to fast to be casual. Yeah the librarian is definitely giving him a look now…
WHATEVER! It doesn’t matter, he’ll be back home in no time with some hacking and swinging. Peter rushed into a nearby alleyway and put the suit on, allowing information to filter across his lenses.
“What day is it?” He asked the computer, effectively muted so nobody outside the mask could hear him.
He needed to know how long he was out for-
What sorta glitch is this? WHY IS IT SAYING THE DATE IS SEVERAL YEARS AGO???
He got over his shock quickly, if this was the past then he might be able to- no he shouldn’t mess with past him, back to the future rules and all that.
Well Dr. Strange did say time doesn’t work like that, so really it’s his fault if I should find an option aside from ‘ask my currently dead mentor to help me gat back to my future.’
“Search for: Tony Stark”
No he did not want to look for different kinds of Stork.
“Search for: Iron Man”
An add with some weird blue guy with an S on his chest ironing a shirt comes up. This isn’t funny, he knew he should have worked harder on fixing Karen.
“Search for: Spider-Man.” He said in an increasingly annoyed, and slightly worried, tone.
Who the hell is Black Spider and why is he ripping me off??? Whatever, okay fine, it doesn’t matter, it’s fine.
“Search for: Avengers Superhero Team”
…No results?
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON????
Did he go to an alternate-
oh-
yeah
Well he may have wished that getting wiped from everyone’s memory was his last interaction with the multiverse but it looks like Parker luck has struck again.
Tell me what you think! I don’t do long stories often so I wasn’t sure when to finish it off but here we are!

Bad Batch Chopping Block
(some spoilers, tread carefully)
Alright, the safety net is gone. Even though Pabu still stands, it will never be safe for Omega or the boys anymore. The Empire has truly closed them in from every direction. So, who's gonna make it out of this season? Just to get this out of the way, Tech is either dead or comes back. The Tech Debate is too big to tackle here.
Definitely dead:
Echo- I think he's 100% a goner. Aside from being a strong mentor figure to Omega, Echo is gonna be a martyr for his cause. He believes so strongly in his fight for clone justice and he will follow it to the grave. I can definitely see him going out in a blaze of glory while Rex watches hopelessly. Plus, Echo dying might be the reason for Rex to retire and turn to Joopa farm. Echo is the last true connection he has to his old life and the 501st. Echo also gave Omega a new weapon which doesn't bode well for him. A gift he gave her is something she can remember him by.
Most likely dead:
Hunter- I do have some hope for him. There is a chance that writers don't kill him off because they want to finish the show with all the boys together. But sadly, that is unlikely. Hunter is the mentor figure and the first real paternal figure to Omega. As the oldest of the Batch (minus Echo), he has a responsibility to watch over them. In season 3, we see Crosshair slowly learning to take over as Omega's parental figure. It's possible that Hunter will die, as many mentor figures have before him, and Cross will carry the torch. I can definitely see that happening. Hunter dies protecting Omega and Crosshair is left to pick up the pieces
Wrecker- sweet Wrecker is too dang lovable. Unlike the others, he doesn't fit as neatly into a trope category like Crosshair and Hunter. Therefore, he could honestly survive because of that. However, I definitely think he could go out in a blaze of glory as well, something akin to Hevy or Hardcase. Imagine Wrecker getting caught in an explosion as he stays behind to save his brothers and Omega? But at the same time, I don't want it to happen.
50/50 (but most likely fine):
Crosshair- I honestly think he might make it out this season mostly in one piece. The only trope he fits right now is redemption equals death and honestly, I think we're past that point. Crosshair already began his redemption arc. He saved Omega, reconciled with his brothers, reconciled with Howzer, admitted his wrongs, and genuinely wants to be a better person. He doesn't need to prove to his family that he loves them or has changed because we see that. His brothers see that. Even his new poster shows him looking at his helmet. He has found the light. It's possible this show ends with him leaving his old life to retire with Omega. He could still die protecting her, but I'm starting to think otherwise.
Crosshair has suffered so much since this show started. I made a list, but we could be here all day talking about it. I feel like it would be overkill (literally) to just kill him off after he's come so far. Also, the fact that he is getting the Dad Batch ™ treatment means that they could be propping him up to take over the role from Hunter. That or they're speed-running Crosshair's dad mode activation because he was MIA for two seasons. Honestly, I think Crosshair narrative wise is mostly safe because his redemption arc is playing out right now instead of later down the line. His arc right now is mostly about coming to terms with himself, his trauma, and his identity as a sharpshooter and soldier. I really think that this show will end with him hanging up the helmet and raising Omega.
Fine:
Omega- let's be honest, they're not gonna kill off our sweet bean. She was been our focal character since the beginning and I can't see the writers going this dark. She's safe!
Alternatively: the Batch all live plus or minus one of them. The final episode could be all of them charging in together for one final fight. They make it out (mostly) and retire with Omega. Boom, the end.

"Evaar'la Vod" (New Brother) by lunarshadow
I have a soft spot for the cadet years' Bad Batch fanfiction. For an older geek it is hard not to be moved by a story of the boys who are outcasts among their own – and the situation of "their own", regular clone cadets bred and trained solely for war, is far from ideal in itself.
"Evaar'la Vod" (New Brother) by lunarshadow is a very good piece of cadet Bad Batch fanfiction. The story of the new brother, Crosshair, joining the rest of the Batch is told from Tech's perspective.
Crosshair here, mere CT-9904 at this point, is far from the personality we know and love but is still an undersocialized and traumatised boy (alright, maybe not so far…). Tech becoming an older brother for him like Hunter and Wrecker were for Tech, is so heartwarming to follow. This relationship does good to both of them; Tech's anxiety hits the roof when he thinks he's doing something wrong but the boost of confidence and happiness when he realises he is on the right track is priceless 😍.
An associative illustration, art by magnificent @shyranno 🙂
Tumblr media
There is not much action in this fic, mostly routine and psychological studies. But on the other hand, it's Kamino, a place where children are experimented on and punished, and critical failures are flushed down the drain. So, the joy and cuteness of following the kid!Batch is dimmed by the constant strain and pain for these kids who are hurt and threatened regularly. Plus, they are outcast kids. At some point I was tempted to say that the cruelty of the "regs" is overrepresented here - but having undergone a similar experience myself in my teenage years I know that at the moment you focus only on the bullies, active aggressive minority, and don't notice the rest of the crowd that are not that bad at all; and we see everything from Tech's point of view here.
And the boys are not totally on their own here. In this fic, they have Ninety-Nine as a mentor, on whose help they can rely time after time, and one can be only glad for all of them. While Hunter and Wrecker are good older bros, they are children themselves and in need of guidance and reassurance ❤️.
Tech's perspective in this fic should absolutely be pointed out. The author does an excellent job describing the psychology of an autistic child, full of anxiety and fixation on details that would seem trivial to the outsider. I can almost recognise some of my neurodivergent friends, who can be meticulous and persistent to the point of annoyance.
A must-read, if you like this type of TBB fanfiction 😉.

First off, loving ZotS rn (it’s one of five fics I actually set email reminders for updates), so thank you for the great work!
Second off, with the upcoming festival ‘arc’, I was wondering how Maki is going to be playing in this fic and how her interaction with Shiki will go. So far, the only interaction we’ve seen her and Mai have with Shiki was the last festival where she basically put Naoya in his place and after re-reading it, I can’t help but imagine the kind of impact that kind of thing could have on her (a strong woman who is not only willing to defy a major clan but has the ability to back it up). Since we don’t really have any knowledge of her past between “leaving” the zen’in clan and joining jujutsu tech, a part of me hopes Maki seeks out Shiki this festival and pulls a korra-esque reverse-Luffy (“I’m joining your crew and you’ve gotta deal with it”). Plus, with how much both of their combat styles focus on cursed tools and shiki’s willingness (if poor ability in communicating it) to teach, I can imagine Maki seeing her as a mentor figure (at least more than Satoru, but that honestly isn’t that hard).
On Shiki’s side, though, I’m curious how she will regard Maki’s abilities with her HR. On the one hand, even if she’s not been told the full story on Toji, the fact that she not only “fought” him but also nearly got killed doing so should make her one of her biggest supporters since she knows not to underestimate someone with those abilities. At the same time, I’m kinda worried Shiki’s going to mess it all up like she did with Aikawa by saying something that could be interpreted as diminutive like “why be a sorcerer, I can barely sense your cursed energy?”.
Anyway, sorry about the rambling, I just really love your story and wanted to take my opportunity to ask a question that’s been on my mind for a while.
Thanks for reading and I'm glad you're enjoying the story!
Maki and Mai haven't been part of the active storyline aside from that one appearance during the first Obon. There are certain similarities between Maki and Shiki, such as their love for sharp, pointy objects...
Going to be keeping quiet for now because we'll be getting to the Zenin twins in the future. Assuming I don't make any last-minute changes, there are plans for them making an appearance during the upcoming festival. :)

top ten smartest characters in BH6, my ranking:
1- Hiro Hamada. Of course he’s at the top, lol. Not only did he outsmart Obake, he also came up with everyone’s hero gear, coded Baymax’s other chips besides Tadashi’s, made a working energy amplifier (that didn’t immediately explode) in like two days with only Krei’s failed prototype to go off of, and HE IS IN SFIT AT 14. Of course he’s the smartest. Also he’s made other robots completely on his own like the microbots and Mini-Mac. He also comes up with most of the battle plans for BH6, and helped cure Liv Amara alongside Karmi.
2- Obake/ Bob Aken. First off, he was also in SFIT as a teen. My headcanon was that he started attending at 16, and Karmi’s like a week younger than him (so she’s technically still the 2nd youngest person to ever go to SFIT). Also!! He was the FIRST to make an energy amplifier, with absolutely nothing to go off of. His was the first, and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if Krei’s amplifier was based off of Obake’s amplifier. Yes the amplifier exploded immediately but he was still the first. And of course, as an adult, he made a shit ton of advanced tech. He made Trina, the most advanced AI in the whole BH6-verse (even better than Baymax because she’s basically indistinguishable from a human and can make her own decisions outside of her original purpose), he made an underwater base, a bunch of other robots, and was able to follow Shimamoto’s clues to rebuild the star machine. Also he managed to play Hiro and the rest of BH6 like a damn violin and would have succeeded if it wasn’t for Globby.
3- Honey Lemon. Honey Lemon is a goddamn genius and I will die on this hill. Her chem-purse has the INDIVIDUAL ELEMENTS. So in battle, she has to legitimately think up and type in a chemical formula to make the compound to use. So she’s gotta have some MAJOR chemistry skill, an excellent memory, and wicked fast reaction time. She also found a way to cure Globby. Also let’s not forget that time she made a literal amnesia serum in like two minutes for Hiro to give to Karmi when she thought that Karmi was onto them. Also, she did uncover Lenore Shimamoto’s secret life as a scientist alongside Wasabi, and Lenore hid that shit really well.
4- Tadashi. Honestly, Tadashi and Honey Lemon are almost tied for third, but Honey Lemon’s a little smarter. He probably got into SFIT early too, cause he couldn’t have been that old. He was probably in at like 17 and died at 20. Also, he made Baymax, one of the most advanced AIs to ever exist, plus the actual robot is rlly advanced too. So just for building Baymax, he can have this spot, because of how advanced Baymax is. Although running into a burning building was kind of a dumb move.
5- Karmi. Karmi’s actually pretty gifted and you all are unnecessarily hating on this poor girl. She’s 16 and at SFIT, and while my headcanon is that she only got in a week younger than the third youngest student, she’s still the second youngest to ever go to SFIT. She also was able to observe BH6 close enough to write moves that could actually work with their gear, which allowed them to escape Momakase and save Karmi herself. Also, she’s made some epic tech. She made the patches to subdue Oreo Knox, which Di Amara later used for her own evil work. She also did that project with the electric currents in the roses, which probably has some pretty interesting uses. She also got chosen to be Di’s intern, and although she got manipulated big time, I can’t say I blame her or say she’s any less smart for literally being mutated and tortured by a woman she thought was her friend and mentor. Also, Hiro would have never gotten the nanobots to work and cure Liv Amara without Karmi’s help and insight. She also made that glove in Season 3 to beat Hardlight. In short, Karmi is way smarter than the fandom gives her credit for.
6- Gogo. Gogo’s actually quite smart and she’s come up with some interesting things. Her maglev tech is really advanced and gives her an extra edge in battle. She also was the first to catch onto the fact that Karmi had a point with her fanfic and was the first to start using Karmi’s ideas to drive up the wall to chase Momakase. She also came up with that train thing we saw her with the model of in CtC pt 1, which I assume is her midterm project. The world can always use more high-speed rail so she’s quite smart in my book for that. She also of course worked with Hiro to make that awesome bike she chased Mr Sparkles with in S2. Plus she’s in SFIT, which is a really challenging environment on its own so she’d have to be really smart to get in.
7- Wasabi. Wasabi and Gogo are like, exactly tied for 6th. They’re both on the same level of smart, but I like Gogo more so she gets 6ths (no hate to Wasabi fans, I like him too). Wasabi, of course, has his plasma blades, which are literally second to nothing but graphene. He can cut through nearly anything with his tech. He also worked with Hiro to build that space junk disposal device in S1, and helped Honey Lemon uncover the very well-guarded secrets of Lenore Shimamoto’s life as a scientist.
8- Wendy Wower. Wendy, although a minor character, has shown herself to be pretty damn smart. She wrote the thesis that Trevor Trengrove stole, which was the basis for Tadashi’s work. Without Wendy’s thesis, Tadashi would have never made Baymax. So, though she never gained the recognition she deserved for her intelligence, she’s still hella smart. Plus, she did manage to make a name for herself as a beloved educator and inspiration for kids to get into science, and that’s kind of hard to do if you’re not already really smart when it comes to science.
9- Lenore Shimamoto. Lenore Shimamoto is really smart, although her invention failed. She built the star machine, which caused the Great Catastrophe. But, she intended it to be an infinite energy device. So, like a very early interpretation of the energy amplifier. She also built a secret lab and hid all evidence of the star machine so well that it took over a hundred years to find. And honestly, if the only person who could crack your secret was literally the second smartest person in the whole show (Obake), you hid that secret pretty well. She also built and ran a whole art institute, it takes smarts to run such a big university.
10- Professor Granville. Honestly I was stuck on who to put here, but I think she deserves this spot. She’s an accomplished professor, knowledgeable about her subjects, and was obviously smart enough to mentor Hiro, Karmi, and Obake. If she wasn’t smart, they wouldn’t have latched onto her as much as they did. She also fixed Baymax that one time in S2 and went to rescue their asses all on her own, built the robot spider SFIT security system, and has some pretty good deduction skills in order to find out where Momakase was going to steal from next.
You can also put Professor Callaghan here at 10th for similar reasons, being an accomplished professor, writing many papers on robotics and inspiring Hiro’s microbots, and coming up with the plan to kill Krei. But, his plan got foiled by Hiro, and Hiro was an inexperienced superhero at this time, so it’s not like with Obake where Hiro was a seasoned superhero who had a fair shot at stopping his plans. Hiro and Obake were evenly matched. So if Inexperienced Hiro could beat Callaghan, that means Callaghan’s not quite as smart.

Shepard aaaaaask!
3, 14, 21 (give me details! hehe), and 33 😉
thanks for the ask :D
fifty shepard questions
3. What’s their relationship with Anderson?
For Regis it's... not great. I've written some fic on it, but the TL;DR is that Hannah wanted Regis to have a good mentor, and he said fuck that to any sort of meddling and mostly just respects the man for his skills alone and keeps him at a far distance. He doesn't quite like that he was blindsided about being evalutated for Spectre status nor does he appreciate his visions being brought up in front of the Council.
He does nominate him for Council since he doesn't really trust Udina either, and in his mind it's a lesser of two evils. Their relationship never really goes beyond, in Regis's mind, "coworkers I have to tolerate."
For Nyx, it's cordial. He doesn't have much of an opinion on Anderson and sees him as a decent ally to have. Nyx, however, nominates Udina as the Council rep since he doesn't like the idea of putting a military man on the seat despite being a First Contact War veteran. Or maybe because he's a FCW vet... :)
14. Any good at flirting?
Regis is pretty good at it and can even ramp up the charm as needed for missions. And he also managed to get Zaeed in his and Kaidan's bed while on Omega during vorcha mafia nonsense and a pissed off merc who's mad that his target was now focused on two alliance idiots...
Tumblr media
Bonus gif from same gender romance mod's flirt option for Hock lmao
Nyx is extremely good at flirting and can charm the pants off of anyone (or rather any man). He's very confident and into himself, which can be pretty attractive. He's also quite observant and has a good feel for what a person might like. And he was able to get Kaidan in his bed pre-ME1 for a one night stand, and I typically headcanon Kaidan as not being into that sooooo yeah :)
21. Do you have any AUs for your shepard?
I have a few :)
Regis's canon is technically one big AU in the sense that I get rid of canon things I don't like (Liara as Shadowbroker, for one, Virmire being a no win scenario... etc), but in Nyx's canon, Regis is actually a doctor on Omega with his uncle, Vikram, and leads a bit of a merc life with Zaeed. On the other hand, Nyx in Regis's canon never rejoined the Alliance after an extended time after the FCW and stays as a civilian engineer, who also stays in his relationship with Hackett. In Nyx's canon, he breaks up with Hackett, later enters a relationship with Kaidan pre-ME1, and then later the three of them become a triad.
There's also the fact that Nyx's canon is a sort of No Reapers AU... in the sense that the Protheans failed to fully extinguish most Reapers and a few still remain, but not enough to be a galaxy ending one.
Regis as a doctor/merc also exists in a Kaidan/Hackett fic I've been slowly writing as well. But other than that, I don't really have any modern AUs or anything of the sort since I see my Shepards already existing as big ol' AUs.
33. What skills do they have that are a surprise to the people around them?
Regis is good with metalworking and making jewelry, and he is quite skilled with making custom weapon mods. Not as good as Zaeed, which he gloats about, but it's something he learned on the side. And despite his degree being public, it's always a shock that he knows his way around cybernetics and can talk real technical when it comes to biotic amps and VI and AI...
Plus he can make really good desserts.
Nyx moonlights as a hacker and is well known on many extranet forums as Phoenix, which should be obvious given his callsign in the war being Phoenix, but to the greater 'net it's a mystery. Like, yeah, he's an engineer who is good with tech and is good with cybersecurity, but a hacker who posts tricks and takes down shit in his free time? Not so obvious.
He's also really good with intricate braids and loves braiding his hair and beard and offering his skills to the other long-haired folks on the ship.

Ok since you already discuss how you would handle developing some of the characters in Thundercats 2011 during your hypothetical season 2. For Lion-O you brought up how he would play a supporting role to others' arcs and would have his on little arc of proving his worth, both to his people and to himself, after a sword of omens breaks. For Tygra you brought up how he would be unlearning his prejudice with the help of Bengali. For Cheetara you've brought up how her arc would be about her rebuilding the order of the clerics and her really learning magic which is something she'd have struggled with. And you talked about how you would give Pumrya a redemption arc.
So now I'm curious to know how you would develop the group's final three members, the Wily twins and Panthro.
I actually do have some of my own ideas for them that I've briefly thought about. So to start with the twins, they're interesting as they are probably the third most explored/focused-on characters in the show after Lion-O and Tygra. For me, it was pretty easy to come up with an idea for how to develop them, and that be to have them develop different personality traits and skills. Let's be honest, the twins are basically a matched set so having them develop more unique traits and skills is an easy route to go down. Plus as you said in your reviews the show laid down some groundwork for this with WilyKit becoming more spiritual than brother. So to expand on this, I further WilyKit becoming more spiritual and exploring her music magic, which might also work with Cheetara's arc especially if WilyKit has an easier time learning magic than Cheetara. For WilyKat I would probably have be the more realist for the two. I would also have him hone his combat skills, particularly with Tygra since WilyKat's flink is similar to Tygra's whip. I would also maybe have WilyKat develop an interest in technology, to add a bit of duality with the twins and maybe even show the future duality of the future Thundera with magic and technology. I would also have Lion-O and WilyKat bond through their interest in tech (I will never not be salty about the show tossing Lion-O's interest in tech aside).
Also off topic for a bit, but thinking about this made me realize you can actual split the Thundercats team in half between those with innate magic and those without it. Like we know Cheetara and WilyKit have innate magic, and Tygra has to as well with his invisibility since that can not be tech-based since he had before he knew tech actually existed. Panthro and WilyKat we know don't have magic, and we can also kind of include Lion-O with them. I know that's weird considering Lion-O's skillset, but when you really think about it Lion-O only really gets his magic from the sword of omens and the power stones, he doesn't really have like innate magic.
Anyway back on topic. For Panthro, it was actually hard to come up with ideas for him since like Cheetara he didn't get too much focus and he's already a pretty well-rounded character. I only really managed to come up with three ideas for him though I'm not really fully sure on them. The first idea is Panthro having a series of flashback episodes showing what he did after Grune's betrayal and before he joined the ThunderCats. The second idea is seeing Panthro figure out what he wants to do with his life now that Grune's dead and he completed his current goal. And the last idea is a bit more on the fluff side, it would be exploring Panthro as the team mentor/dad. I think that one would be cute.
Sorry this got rambly 😅, I just had a lot of fun with these.
No trouble, I like your ideas a lot!
I'll be honest, I hadn't thought of much for Panthro yet. But I like the idea of him needing to find a new goal in life. I did think of one scene of him giving Pumyra advice, since like her he suffered an excruciating betrayal that nearly cost him his life, but that's one scene not much of an arc.
For the twins, I want to do something to tie up the El Dara thread, but that will require me to decide what I want El Dara to be ^^; And yeah, I did want to show the twins slowly becoming less of a joint unit and finding separate passions, Wilykit in magic and spirituality and Wilykat in combat.
I love your idea of tying Kit into Cheetara's arc, that's a really nice way of getting two characters' development out of the same plotline! And there's definite potential in Kat learning different skills from each of his two big brothers!
(I'm happy to join you in the "salty about Lion-O's tech hobby being dropped" club)
And I think there's definitely room to try to explore some kind of theme about magic and technology, maybe try to succeed where episode 24 failed >.>

FIC REC WEEK 34 – TONY AND THE BOTS
The Butterfingers G. D. I. Stark Guide to Problem Solving by Epiphanyx7
Pairing: Gen Rating: T Words: 18,956 Tags: Humor and Fluff, Robot Babies, Parent Tony
Summary: Tony begins to notice that things are going missing from his workshop... and discovers that his bots have been hiding a very, very big secret from him. Or rather, a very, very small one. In which Dummy is a kleptomaniac, You is painfully shy, Butterfingers is a programming genius, JARVIS is a sarcastic sonofabitch, Pepper takes care of Tony outside of the workshop, Bruce is Tony's boo, Thor is Tony's favourite, Clint is actually kind of smart, Steve has terrible timing, and problem-solving is never simple or easy.
Reasons why I love it: If you've ever wanted to read a fic that perfectly encompasses the depth of emotion that Tony has for his bots and vice versa, then this is the one for you. It's funny and fluffy and heart-breakingly soft, and it always leaves me with the biggest grin on my face. The Avengers family feels are just as strong as the Botfamily feels, and I love every second of it. Definitely check this one out if you haven't, it's one of my favorite fics in this fandom!
Bedtime Stories and Nightmares by scifigrl47
Pairing: Steve/Tony Rating: T Words: 29,846 Tags: Kidfic, Magic, Domestic Fluff
Summary: Tony Stark was comfortable with his life. And why shouldn't he be? He's brilliant, rich, powerful, a super hero. He's got a team he trusts, a job he enjoys, his work and his creations, and he's sleeping with Captain America. Tony's life is just fine, thank you very much. He knew that it would change, life always changes, but he wasn't in any way prepared for how it was about to change. Tony never intended to be a parent, and even if he had, he could never have anticipated this particular change.
Reasons why I love it: I've always loved the Tales of the Bots verse, and this fic is one of my favorites in the series. Tony's shaky steps into fatherhood are really heart-warming to see, and I love how much his and Steve's relationship develops as a result. Plus, Dummy the human boy is adorable and deserves all the love in the world. I adore this fic, and I bet you will too!
An Unexpected Reunion by Sara (ctrsara)
Pairing: Gen Rating: G Words: 18,323 Tags: JARVIS Lives, Precious Peter, FRIDAY is a Good Bro
Summary: Peter huffed a laugh and finally moved forward, gently shouldering his mentor out of the way, and hefting the dusty piece of tech the older man had been tugging at. “Where do you want it? And is this a mainframe unit? An old one?” “There on the ground next to the other one,” Tony said, walking ahead of him into the main lab area, and gesturing to where he had another unit hard-wired into the wall. “And yes, it is a mainframe unit circa 2012, I believe. Well, more like 2015 for the general public.” “Did you set it on fire or something?” Peter joked. It definitely looked charred. “Not me. It’s from the Malibu house,” Tony said quietly.
Reasons why I love it: This is one of the most gutwrenching and yet uplifting takes on Tony's loss of JARVIS, and all told in the aftermath with the happiest of endings. I adore JARVIS' inner monologue and his communications with the other bots, especially DUM-E. This fic is incredible, and if you haven't read it yet, you are seriously missing out!
