I am glad to announce that my destiel fic is officially finished. 8 chapters of the oryginal team free will running around the seaside. Some case solving, clothes shopping, bed sharing, monster fighting and struggling to communicate. There is some fluffy and there most definitely is angst.
But worry not. It has a happy ending 😘
I just really wanted a beach episode for them 🏖️💚💙

a surprising discovery
PAIRING: TFW (dean, sam, and castiel) x reader (platonic, ofc)
A/N: I had such a bad headache while making this drabble / fanfic (i’m leaning more towards drabble now that i have finished writing..)
SUMMARY: After finding a baby on a hunt, you and the boys have no idea what to do or how to take care of it.. until they discover something surprising about you.
Tumblr media
While on a grueling hunt dealing with shapeshifters, you four had found a baby. A baby, of all things.
Dean didn’t really want to take it back to the bunker, thinking it would be another Bobby John type situation, but you and Sam had managed to convince him otherwise.
So now, here you guys were, all looking down at the baby sitting contently in a wooden crib. Their big, innocent eyes flickering from one person to another.
“So, what the hell are we gonna do with ‘em?” Dean asked gruffly, his arms crossed.
You looked over at Dean, raising an eyebrow. “Well we gotta take care of the little guy for at least a little bit.” Sam nodded in agreement with your statement.
You had focused back on the baby and leaned down a little bit, to which they let out a giggle and kicked its chubby legs.
A small yet fond smile curled on your lips. You had some experience with children considering you babysat during your teenage years before you got into hunting.
Castiel, Sam, and Dean had busied themselves with discussing a plan on what to do while you interacted with the baby.
They reached their chubby arms out in a silent and clear demand to be held. You complied almost immediately, your heart squeezing at how cute this little thing was.
Once the baby was settled in your arms, you held them against your shoulder. They squealed happily and started patting your face, exploring the expanse of skin with small hands.
“Since when did you know how to handle a baby?” Sam’s questioning voice broke you out of whatever happy-baby-trance you were in and you turned on your heel to face him.
“Uh,” You paused, your tongue briefly darting out to wet your lips. “I used to babysit around my neighborhood before I got into huntin’.”
“Oh so you’re like a baby whisperer, huh?” Dean smirked, his eyes drifting over to the baby who was giving you a gummy smile.
You shrugged, a smug smile forming on your face. “Guess so.”
Castiel, who had been silent for most of the time, finally spoke up. “They do seem to like you, not that they really interacted with the rest of us yet.”
You hummed, eyebrows knitting together a tad as you realized that at least one of them would want to possibly hold the baby.
“Anyone wanna hold ‘em?” You held out the baby at arms length, who started fussing as soon as they registered they were too far away from you.
“…or maybe not.” You added as an afterthought, bringing the baby back to your chest so they wouldn’t start crying.
As soon as the baby was tugged back towards you, they snuggled up to your chest, letting out a small yawn and their tiny fists clutching onto the collar of your flannel.
“Looks like they’re getting ready for a nap.” Castiel said matter-of-factly.
Sam chuckled quietly, “yeah, to be honest, I don’t even think they’ll let you put them down so you might have to keep carrying them.”
You laughed, nodding.
You realized that you probably didn’t want to stand and hold a baby so you prompted to move to the main room of the bunker so all of you could relaxing after the hunt and new, temporary addition to the team.

fic: come what may pt 3
part 1 | part 2
if you wanna read on ao3
thanks x
---
Kara’s body sags into the lawn chair that she keeps on the rooftop of her apartment. There’s an area up there that she’s claimed for herself, right by the back corner just around the rooftop entrance. She’s glad for it, especially right now, while she stares out onto the other rooftops of her neighborhood with her powers blown for at least another couple of days.
She lets out a big pathetic sigh, puffing out her cheeks, when she recalls how she got into this predicament.
It had been a hectic day for Supergirl. A rogue missile headed straight for downtown National City coming at the heels of a drawn out fight with an invading alien group. She’d only had enough time and energy to redirect said missile, but not to release it and fly away in time. Shrapnel lacerated her suit and embedded itself into her flesh when she attempted her retreat while the fiery explosion singed the edges of her cape as she spun out of the blast radius. She was then propelled by the force of the explosion, nosediving at the precipice of consciousness into the cliff’s edge by the coast.
She winces at the memory and the proceeding aerial footage that Brainy showed her where she collided with the side of jagged rocks off the side of a cliff, taking a chunk of it out. The worst part was when she’d startled awake the next morning, frantically searching for the date and time, realizing with a sinking heart that she’d missed the night she told Lena she’d return to her balcony.
She hoped Lena would understand, yet when she had plugged her phone in, there were no messages from her. Kara frowned and tried not to let the silence between them affect her. But by the way she slouched back on the sunbed, she couldn’t quite shake off her disappointment.
Now that she’s off-duty for a few days while she recovers, she requests to work remotely to spend the time researching just so she can finish hiding in her apartment. Well, at least for now, she’s hiding on her rooftop. It’s become a kind of oasis for her. Not just today, but for a few months now while she accepted their new normal and tried to navigate this Earth. She didn’t think it would make a difference, but when she brought up two foldable lawn chairs and a tiny round table to make a little sitting area for herself, it somehow made her feel less alone.
These days, Kara will take whatever she can get.
Her head lolls to the side when she observes a few birds walking near her before perching themselves on the cement ledge nearby. One of the birds flew up before dropping down on the cement ledge gracefully.
“Show off,” she mutters to herself. “I can do that, too, you know.”
The birds continue on disregarding her comments and her muttering. She is then interrupted by a buzz of her phone in the plastic cup holder section of her foldable chair. She considers not answering, Alex probably pestering her to get some rest like she’s not already doing that. But the idea of getting yelled at just doesn’t interest her, not when she's already feeling herself at her lowest, so she decides to pluck her phone out of the cup holder.
Her back straightens and eyes widening in unabashed surprise when she glances down at the message displayed on her phone screen.
Lena: Are you home?
She sucks her lips between her teeth, her thumbs hovering above the glass. She moves her finger and presses the call button.
It rings just once when Lena picks up.
“Uh, hi,” Kara offers lamely, cringing at herself.
“Hi.”
“I’m—did you need something?”
There’s a pause on the other end of the line.
“Alex told me what happened. I…I thought to bring you some food since I heard you’re not well. But if you’re not at home or don’t want company, I can leave the bag by your door.”
“Uh…no! I mean—you didn't need to do that,” she starts, scrambling out of her chair and rushing to the rooftop door before jumping down, taking the stairs two at a time and almost colliding with the stairwell wall. “You’re—that’s very nice, Lena…”
When her apartment door comes to view, she freezes mid-step. Kara’s gaze drops down to the bottom landing of the third floor and finds Lena, still dressed in her work clothes and hair done up in a loose bun, holding a plastic bag in one hand and her phone by her ear in the other.
“You're at my door,” she comments, stating the obvious, hearing her voice echo through the open phone line between them.
Lena smiles, the motion slight and lopsided.
“It would appear so.”
Gingerly, she steps down one step at a time, her eyes never once leaving Lena. Long seconds pass between them until she arrives by her front door, a measly two feet away from her visitor.
Lena pulls the phone away from her ears with a smile before pocketing it. Kara mirrors her when she realizes she hadn’t hung up yet. Lena’s smile drops and her now empty hand reaches up but stops mid-air between them.
Oh, right.
“Looks a little gnarly, huh?” she jokes, an awkward grin on her face. Truth be told, she feels better than she looks. By tomorrow’s time, her injuries will disappear and fade, her face returning to its unblemished state. She remembers that very few people see her like this, and it’s with an ache in her chest she realizes that this is the first time that Lena has seen her in this state. “I’m fine. It doesn’t hurt.”
Lena slowly closes her hand into a fist and eventually drops it. She does her best not to feel disappointment at that.
“Um, you—you had food?”
It’s then that Lena lifts the bag she’s been holding, extending her arm out. “I got your favorites.”
She accepts the bag, their fingers grazing with each other until she grabs hold of the bag, welcoming the weight of the food that’s inside.
“Would you like to join me?”
*
The rooftop door opens to a fresh breeze and the waning sun.
She leads the two of them to her makeshift sitting area by the far end where a couple of birds have taken to loitering. They flap their wings and get away from the commotion of their presence and she sets the bag down by the table.
Her eyes are drawn to Lena crouching down slightly and brushing the back of her skirt so she can sit on the lawn chair properly, sinking down until her knees are higher than her hips.
Kara outwardly grimaces. “Sorry, I forgot that’s the saggy one. We can trade place—”
“I’m fine. I don’t mind.”
Kara watches her but silently nods and resumes taking out food from the bag and spreads them out on the table, filling every space on it. Unsure what to say or even how to speak to Lena, Kara then decides to take her time serving them their food. She passes a pair of paper-wrapped chopsticks to Lena who accepts it quietly before she peels her own, separating the wood with a snap.
She senses Lena’s eyes trained on her, but she doesn’t flick her gaze up not once, instead focusing on taking the plastic lids off and turning it into a makeshift plate. She then serves up a portion of lo mein and a few pieces of sesame chicken before putting three healthy pieces of golden brown potstickers to finish out the plate.
Kara finally looks up to Lena studying her. She offers a crooked smile and offers the lid-turned-plate towards the other woman who accepts it quietly, their fingers once again grazing against each other. She hurries and picks up the lid of the lo mein and serves herself her own plate, the portion smaller than what she normally eats when her powers are fully intact.
For the next few moments, they eat in silence, the soundtrack to their early evening but the crowing of the nearby birds and the sound of distant traffic down on the streets. Every now and again, her eyes cast up to watch Lena as she digs into her own plate. The silence between them settles comfortably, like before.
Before the distance between them, before her lies and betrayal, before Lena’s revenge. Before all the hurt she inflicted, they inflicted on each other. Before, before, before.
Except they can’t ever go back to that world, to that life.
As she catches sight of Lena chewing on a potsticker and eyes staring out onto the view from her rooftop, she thinks there are worse places to be and she’s fine exactly where she is.
*
“Thanks for the food,” she says, breaking the silence between them, her lid-plate completely empty. “I appreciate you coming by.”
“Well,” Lena starts, leaning back on the chair, sinking further, her legs crossed at the knee. She looks comfortable this way despite the sharpness of her work attire. “I was promised a ‘something’ and I’m here to collect.”
“I meant to come back.”
“You were busy.”
She chuckles at that. “A rogue missile can do that to you.”
Lena tilts her head, as if studying her, and Kara does her best not to squirm under her watchful gaze. Then, Lena silently leans forward and stands from her seat, wiping away any minuscule dust or crumbs from her lap. Just as quietly, Kara tilts her head as she follows Lena’s every move.
A gasp escapes her mouth, her brows jumping to her hairline when Lena extends a hand forward.
“Let’s dance, Kara.”
Her eyes drop to the offered hand in front of her. She looks back up again to an unreadable expression on Lena’s face. She gets on her feet, her legs slightly wobbly until she’s standing to her full height.
Careful in her movements, as if Lena might take her offered hand back, Kara clasps their hands together and steps forward just as Lena steps back.
“There’s no music,” she says. Lena simply quirks her brow before she reveals her phone in her other hand. Kara blinks, wonders how she could have missed that.
“There’s always music.”
Lena then presses play on her phone, the first few notes playing. Her brows crease together, her eyes quietly asking, but Lena just shrugs. They then get into position, Kara’s other hand on Lena’s waist just as Lena’s rests on her shoulder, her finger almost tracing the scabbing gash lines on the side of her face. Kara barely resists the shiver that runs down her spine.
“I was watching Notting Hill last night because my schedule cleared up.”
She cocks her head slightly as the two of them begin to sway. “Didn’t take you much for a romantic comedy kind of viewer.”
“In this world, I am.”
She nods. “I like it.”
The cool evening air breezes past them as they entangle themselves as they sway on beat to the song, their gazes stretching past each other’s heads.
“What’s it like, not having powers?”
She shrugs a little. “Like things are muffled, almost muted. I feel weighed down, like gravity’s working twice as hard to keep me down. It’s not unpleasant or anything, but it’s not a feeling I’m used to.”
Lena nods, almost to herself, as she seems to take the information in.
“I got worried when you never showed last night,” Lena says as she stares right up at her, her voice soft.
She shakes her head, though, and pulls Lena closer, wants the other woman to make sure she’s looking when she says, “I wanted to be there, but I was out cold, apparently. I woke up this morning and panicked when I found out I’d missed it. Then when you didn’t contact me, I just thought you were mad at me.”
“I thought you changed your mind.”
Kara tilts her head up to find the blues of the afternoon sky having been traded in for the oranges and pinks. “As part of our pact of starting over, I think we should really improve our communication skills.”
She then releases Lena so she can twirl her.
“You’re not a fan of us assuming the worst of a situation or each other and internalizing it as a moral failing of ourselves?” Lena teases, exhaling a breathy laugh.
“Lena, please,” she grumbles, a half-hearted attempt at suppressing her laugh. “Be serious.”
She spins Lena twice until they come back together again, their fronts now pressed to each other, their faces inches from one another.
Lena she turns her head until her chin rests on Kara’s shoulder. “We can stand to be better, I agree.”
They move gently and loosely on the rooftop, Elvis Costello’s crooning voice filling the space around them and the National City city skyline just off to the distance. Finally, the last notes of the song play until Lena separates their hands and stops the next song from playing on her phone. Kara watches on as Lena walks towards the ledge of the rooftop towards the city’s skyline.
It takes her a few drawn out moments to follow suit and stand beside Lena, her eyes trained on the twinkling lights of the city she saved just yesterday.
“Kara.”
She glances sideways, watching and waiting. Lena pivots her body so she’s facing Kara, green eyes bright and alive even in the blanketing darkness of the evening.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” she breathes out, her warm hand on Kara’s forearm where a large gash sits. “I’m glad you asked me to stay for dinner. I’m glad…you let me in.”
She places her own hand atop Lena’s. “Can I tell you that ‘something’ I promised?”
Lena gestures with a nod, curling long, elegant fingers around Kara’s arm, like she’s trying to anchor herself to Kara, or maybe it’s the other way around. She’s not sure, but she doesn’t care either way, just that they are.
“I want to rebuild our friendship first and foremost, and that’s what I’ll be focusing on. But I also…” she pauses, chewing on her bottom lip. When Lena looks on encouragingly, she takes a deep breath. “But I also hope that if you’re open to it, that it could someday lead to something…more.”
“Something…more,” Lena repeats.
“Yeah.”
“What are you really saying?”
Kara scratches her temple, adjusting her glasses on her face. “I’m saying that there are feelings that I’ve denied myself about you because I’d hurt you and then you’d hurt me. But they’ve never gone away, Lena. Not once. And if it’s alright with you, I don’t want them to.”
When Lena doesn’t say anything, Kara’s confidence wanes and her mouth goes rogue. “But if you don’t feel the same way, if you don’t or c-can’t love me as more than a friend, then that’s fine, too. I’d never—that’ll never stop me being your friend or wanting to protect you.”
“You love me?”
“Without question,” she says, pressing forward as she tightens her grip on Lena’s hand.
“What if you change your mind?”
Kara’s heart tries not to bruise at the fear and apprehension in Lena’s eyes.
“I won’t.”
“How do you know?”
“I don’t,” she says with a helpless shrug. “But I know you.”
Lena doesn’t say anything more, her eyes searching Kara’s face—for what, she’s not sure, but Kara won’t look away. Wordlessly, Lena twists her head to gaze out to the darkened horizon for a moment, and Kara prepares herself for the worst. She’s not prepared for the shine of tears in Lena’s eyes when she turns back to look at Kara. She thinks if she looked closely, she would find her reflection and the threat of her own tears.
“I thought we’d missed our chance. After everything, I just thought—”
It’s then she shakes her head, inches closer, her heart rapidly beating when she thinks about what Lena’s saying. “It’s still here, Lena. I’m here.”
Lena lunges forward and Kara receives her in her arms, winding them around Lena’s middle, tightening her grip when Lena buries herself in the crook of her neck. They rock side to side in place as they simply hold one another, the city’s night sounds of National City buzzing around them.
After a short while, they break apart, eyes searching for each other under the dim rooftop lights that Kara just now notices have turned on.
“Okay,” Lena finally says, her voice watery, but strong.
“Yeah?” Her heart sings and swoops when Lena bobs her head. “Okay, then. Um, do you wanna go downstairs and watch a movie or something?”
Kara doesn’t move or breathe or do anything but watch as Lena brings the back of her hand and gently caresses cheek. “I’d love to, but I should head back home.”
She resists the disappointment to wash over her and offers a genuine smile.
“Let me walk you down.”
They untangle from each other, Kara’s body practically vibrating as they clean up and march down the steps hand in hand. When they reach the front of her building, Kara isn’t surprised to find Lena’s driver already waiting.
“When’s your next dance lesson?” Lena asks when she turns to face Kara once again.
“Thursday at the Y. 7pm.”
“Mind if I tag along?”
Her face splits into a wide smile that she doesn’t bother hiding. “Never.”
“Goodnight, Kara,” Lena says, leaning forward and pressing a small, chaste kiss on her cheek before squeezing Kara’s hand and letting go. “See you Thursday.”
Her response is to carefully dip down and place a mirroring kiss on Lena’s cheek. When she draws back, it’s to the image of Lena’s face soft and gentle, smiling up at her.
The smile never disappears from her face as she watches Lena stride towards the backseat of her car, as she rolls the windows down and gives Kara a parting wave, as she rolls the window back up only after they’ve turned the corner.
The air around her swirls with hope, crackles with possibility, and she clings onto it all while she ascends the stairs two at a time to her apartment, humming the song of their earlier dance. This is just the beginning, a chance to make it count.
So that’s what she plans to do.

Monthly Pity Party (Supernatural One-Shot)
Tumblr media
Team Free Will x AFAB!GN!Reader / requests are open
Summary: Your cramps are kicking your ass this month, though you do wish the boys would quit throwing pity parties for you.
Fic type: period comfort
SPN: @wereallbrokenangels (send an ask to be added to a tag list!)
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
"I think I might actually die, like, for real," you groaned, rubbing at your forehead irritably. "I mean- if we ever do find the bastard, I'd like to ask why he or she or they said 'fuck you in particular' to people with vaginas and uteri and all that bullshit."
"Yes, it's not something I was able to fully understand from his plans," Castiel replied, seeming to only be half listening. Your hand shot to your lower belly, breath sucking sharply between your teeth. "Though it does serve a purpose... if... that may provide some comfort to you."
"You know," you groaned, resisting the urge to curl yourself into a ball and pass away on the spot. "It really doesn't, Cas."
Sam stood from his favourite spot at the table, picked your socked feet off the end of the lounge and sat down again while pulling them into his lap. You gave the gentle giant a soft yet strained smile and he squeezed your left foot to show he was listening.
"Dean will be back soon," he said by way of comfort. You were also pretty sure it was a diversion to nip your conversation with Castiel in the bud before it got too heated or too existential. You had a habit of doing that during your time of the month.
Speaking of- the sound of the bunker door closing heralded the arrival of beers for the boys and treats for you. Special treats that you only really reserved for that horrendous week once a month where you weren't able to hunt half the things on your to-get list, or even sometimes able to stay awake for longer than three hours.
"All right," came Dean's voice from around the corner. "Party time. I've got the goods. Beer, pie, skittles, and... all the other crap you asked for." He placed the two bags of groceries and goodies onto the coffee table before gesturing for you to move so he could settle down on the couch with you.
You made space for him and then he patted his lap for you to lay back down again. You settled your head down in his lap as he used his arm to screw the lid of his beer off and chucked the metal disc onto the table.
"Oh Cas, I forgot to heat the thing up," Dean mumbled, giving you an apologetic squeeze on the shoulder before pointing to your homemade wheat bag. "Be a good Angel and do the thing?"
Castiel picked up the wheat bag and disappeared into the kitchen. Hopefully after his stint as a human, he'd know how to use the microwave to heat it up properly. Honestly though, if your skin was able to withstand it, you'd love the direct heat of the sun over your cramps.
Dean leaned forward, grabbed one more beer from the table and passed it to his brother who thanked him quietly. Then he passed you the bag of skittles and watched you rip the thing open and shove a handful into your mouth with a moan of relief that bordered on pornographic.
"I don't know how you eat those," Dean said sceptically. You chewed on the lollies a few more times before swallowing.
"They taste good," you replied as if that was a good enough answer to it all. "And shut up, I've seen some of the stuff you've shoved down your gullet."
"Shut up, Sam-" Dean quipped as Sam snorted out a laugh at your signature bantering. "But fair point."
You let out another hiss as your cramp amped it up once again. Your voice evened out into a rather pained and elongated word not fit for young ears and Dean's brows furrowed in concern.
"Dean, you get like this every month. It's just a few days of discomfort- and if Cas wasn't so wiped right now, he'd make it all go away for me. It's nothing I can't handle. Promise."
Dean took a moody sip of his beer and rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, well, I don't have to like it, all right?"
You were saved from having to put too much thought into your response as Cas reappeared from the kitchen, wheat bag in hand. He handed it to you and you placed it over your abdomen. Instantly the heat began soaking through your skin to ease the ache beneath.
"I'm sorry I can't heal you in my current state," Castiel apologised before sitting down stiffly in the single-seater armchair. You sighed, chowing down on a couple more lollies.
"Look guys," you said, pulling your head and feet out of the Winchesters' laps and sitting up. You pressed the heat pack against your abdomen and leaned back against the couch. "I know you all mean well, but it's just a period. You don't have to pity me. I'll be all right after some Advil and some comfort food. A snuggle or two wouldn't hurt either. But I'm not going to have any more of these pitiful apologies and concerned looks."
The three of them looked at each other and then back at you again. Dean and Sam both took a swig and nodded respectfully.
"Sure thing," Sam replied with one of those blink-and-you-miss-it acknowledging smiles.
"Uh-huh," was Dean's answering reply. You knew what that meant. He'd humour you for a day or two and be right back at his usual schtick. But that was fine. You kinda liked it when he was just a little worried over you.
"Right then," you said decisively, giving Castiel a very pointed look. "I'm going to lay back down and we're all going to watch a movie. I am going to grumble about my cramps and we're all going to have a great time, yes? Good."
"Yes dear," Dean reached for the remote for the television. "Now- Cas, I know better than to ask our menstruating friend here what we're gonna watch so- your pick."

How do you come up with sketch ideas? i stg your sketchbook is like a fucking sitcom or something, your doodle dumps make me laugh out loud. how do you do that????
honestly I just think about the fictional guys wayyyy too much. I’m a very visual person when it comes to my thoughts so really it’s just copying them down to the best of my artistic abilities. always putting those guys in situations and since I’m so averse to writing fanfics I make the most crusty sketches imaginable to cope

Stargazing with Castiel
Tumblr media
Summary:
You and Cas are coming back from a hunt in Dean’s Impala, and decide to sit for a while to watch the stars together.
Word count:
820, just a quick one!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cool metal of the Impala’s hood is smooth beneath your hands as you lean back, settling into the quiet embrace of the night. The world around you feels impossibly still, as if it’s holding its breath for this one perfect moment. Above, the stars stretch out in an endless, shimmering expanse, tiny pinpricks of light scattered across the velvet-dark sky. They twinkle and shift, almost as if they’re winking down at you.
The chilly air smells faintly of pine and earth, grounding you even as your eyes are fixed on the infinity above. You tilt your head back further, trying to grasp just how vast it all is, feeling small yet connected to the moment in a way that’s hard to describe.
Beside you, Castiel is sitting quietly, solid and steady. You can sense him watching the stars too, his gaze thoughtful and melancholic, as if they hold memories he hasn’t yet shared. His coat rustles faintly in the breeze, the only sound breaking the quiet. You turn your head slightly, catching a glimpse of his profile in the faint light. His eyes, sharp and endlessly blue, reflect the sparkling stars above, making them seem even more alive.
“They’re beautiful, aren’t they?” you murmur softly, not wanting to disturb the peaceful atmosphere. Your voice is barely louder than a whisper, but in the stillness, it feels like the words carry.
Cas nods, his gaze never leaving the sky. “Orion,” he says, his voice low, almost reverent. He lifts a hand, pointing out the familiar constellation. “I’ve watched those stars rise and fall for eons.”
You glance at him, taken by the weight of his words. Eons. It’s hard to wrap your mind around what that must feel like. To have watched these same stars from different places, different times. For you, they’re distant, untouchable, but for him, they’re old friends—constant companions through lifetimes.
“Do you ever get tired of it?” you ask quietly, glancing back up at the sky. “Seeing the same stars over and over?”
For a moment, he doesn’t answer, and you wonder if you’ve touched on something too heavy. Then, with a soft breath, he shakes his head. “No,” he says. “They’re always the same, but…” His voice trails off, and there’s a softness in his tone that catches your attention. “It’s different now.”
“Different how?” you ask, turning to face him fully. There’s something about the way he speaks tonight—vulnerable, more human than usual. You wait for his answer, your heart beating a little faster.
He turns his head, his blue eyes meeting yours. There’s a warmth there, something deeper than his usual stoic expression. “I’ve seen these stars from every possible angle. From heaven, from earth, from far beyond what you can imagine,” he says quietly, the words soft but weighted with meaning. “But never like this. Not until I saw them with you.”
His confession hangs in the air between you, delicate but profound. The stars above feel closer now, as though they’ve gathered around to witness the moment. Your heart skips a beat, and the night feels warmer, more intimate. You can’t help but smile at the quiet sincerity in his voice, and for a moment, you forget about the vastness of the universe. Right now, it’s just you and Cas, sharing something that feels like it belongs to the two of you alone.
You lean a little closer, letting your shoulder rest against his arm. The warmth of his presence radiates through the layers of his coat, steady and comforting. “You’re not bad company for stargazing,” you say with a soft smile, trying to lighten the mood, but there’s no mistaking the truth in your words. His presence, here, makes everything feel… right.
Castiel’s lips quirk into the faintest smile. It’s small, barely there, but it’s enough to make your chest tighten with warmth. His expression is soft, more open than you’ve seen it in a while, and you realize how much this simple moment means to him. To be here, in the quiet, with no danger looming over you both—just peace.
“I’m glad you’re here,” you whisper, almost afraid to break the stillness of the night, but needing to say it.
“So am I,” he responds, and his voice, soft but sure, sends a gentle ripple through the quiet. The two of you fall into a silence again, but it’s the kind of silence that feels full—of understanding, connection, something deeper than words.
The stars above twinkle brighter now, their distant light seeming to pulse in time with the steady beat of your heart. The air is cool, but you don’t feel the cold—not with Castiel beside you, his presence grounding you, making the night feel safe. You tilt your head back again, gazing up at the infinite sky, and for the first time, it doesn’t feel so overwhelming. It feels like a secret, one you share with him.

Dean made the mistake of letting Michael take over his body. While Michael made plans on destroying the humanity he met up with different monster leaders, a few of whom he meets up in a jazz bar he started to appreciate or was it the waitress, Y/N.
A spark of curiosity hit him when he the young spiritual woman crossed his path. Realising he might have more in common with humans than he wants.
--
Michael set foot in the dark lit bar downtown, marching to the same spot he had been claiming almost every day this week. He didn’t need to scan the area to know she was here. The soft smell of her parfum lingered in the air, mixed with the smell of alcohol.
Michael noticed how a lot of women in this era smelled fruity and flowery, to him it smells cheap, but not her, no she had a scent that smelled like old money, deep and warm, almost...divine.
He folded his coat neatly over the back of the chair next to him, the flat cap on top of his coat. Before he could turn around a glass of scotch appeared on the table in front of him. He saw how her nails were perfect as usual, slightly longer and a deep red colour, elegant.
“The usual I presumed?” She said with a steady and sweet voice.
His lips twitched almost into a smile. Slowly Michael looked up to the young woman next to him. Her lips were coated in the red lipstick that matched her nails. He noticed she wore that lipstick almost every night.
Michael’s brow lifted while he looked at her.
He saw how her lips turned into a soft smile. “I noticed you’re becoming a regular on my shift. If this is not what you wanted tonight, please let me know, sir.” Oh, he liked the respect she gave him. “This will be fine.” she nodded before turning on her heels.
While his fingers moved the glass to his mouth, taking a slow sip, he couldn’t keep himself from glancing over to her. Seeing how she walked around with a flair, he could almost compliment his father on his creation.
Almost a shame she too would soon be gone.
After a few hours Y/N noticed him still sitting alone, the bar ran empty as she walked over to him.
”Can I get you anything else, Sir?” She saw the look on his face, how it shifted from irritated to calm and well put together. “No, I think I might leave.”
“They didn’t show up, did they?” She didn’t want to cross the boundaries, but she was too curious not to ask. Wanting to know a bit more about the handsome stranger walking into her bar every day for the last week.
His eyes frowned, “The business partners, you meet here every day.” she added. Micheal realised she had been keeping an eye on him just like he had on her. “No...” he started “But why don’t you join me?”
Y/N’s eyes widen, she looked around the bar, the place was empty, except from one customer at the bar who was talking to the bartender. She glided elegant on to the chair in front of Michael, “why not...” she lingered a little on the last word, wondering what his name was.
And almost like he could read her mind he said “Michael.” she nodded slow, looking into his eyes. “Y/N” His eyes broke the connection and glided down over her. Stopping at her necklace. “You’re religious?”
Her fingers instinctively reached for the small golden cross on her neck. “Well, I guess I am.” Michael’s eyes lock on hers again. “I hear doubt.” She smiled nervous “I believe... in god and... heaven and hell.” she thought for a second.
“But?” he pushed. “I don’t believe in blindly following what people think is gods will.” Her breath hitched when Michael’s brow lifted again, his beautiful eyes scanning her body again. The weight of his eyes makes her feeling warm and blush.
“How about Angels?” he asked casual. She smiled, “please don’t tell a cheesy pick-up line going to follow.”
“Don’t worry, I know you are no angel.”
Even though she hated the “Did it hurt when you fell from heaven, or heaven is missing an angel” lines. But his brutal answer did sting. “Jesus, thanks.” she sighs soft. Just as she wanted to lift her off her seat he continued.
“But there is something... graceful about you.”
A short silence fell upon them before she broke it. “How about you Michael, do you have fate?” This was the first time she noticed him smiling. He looked away when he answered. “My father made it impossible not to.”
“I get it.” - “I doubt that” he answered sharp.

“My father was a preacher.” She said, “A self-proclaimed man of God’s word. As a kid I called him a storyteller.” Michael’s lips curled into another soft smile. Fuck she burned up when he did that. “I guess our father are more alike than I thought.”
“Anyway, I should leave you to it.” She said after a short silence between them. Just as she lifted herself of her chair Michael did the same. His hand wrapped around her arm. Even though it was a normal gesture she could feel the strength in his muscles.
“Have you ever visited the old church on the edge of the city?“ he asked.
Her eyes met his, only now realising how tall he is. “No, I haven’t it is supposed to be sold to an old art collector, many years ago. It’s private property now. Or that was what my dad said.” Michael nodded, “ I know the man who bought it.”
“Let me take you.” he said stretching his arm out to guide her to the door. He saw how Y/N doubted. “I promise it is worth your time.” While she looked at the door her thoughts slipped past her mouth. “You know that’s what serial killers say.”
There it was again, the grin on his perfect face. “I’m not planning on killing anyone tonight. “she could feel his eyes lingering on her. “Specially not you.”
Once outside he put his hat back on, looking how she raised her hand.
Y/N called for a taxi, which quickly stopped. Michael opened the door for her. “What a gentleman” she winked. The ride there was silent, filled with nerves and maybe even a little fear.
The taxi dropped them off at the gate near the old church, the premisses seemed abandon but there was a soft light coming through the glass stained windows.
Michael opened the large doors like he owned the place. “Who is there? Show yourself! An old man yelled holding a riffle in his hand. “Joseph, it’s me old friend.” Y/N could see how the old man who seemed nearly blind was trying to figure who he was talking to.
And then it hit him.
“M-Michael?” he whispered “Oh good lord... You came back!” The man rushed towards the entrance. “I kept everything like you wanted sir! No one came in, everything is still in place! I told you it would be a good idea to keep me! I-I listened to every word you said, sir.”
Y/N didn’t pay much attention to what the old man was saying.
Her eyes roamed the inside, eyes trailing the paintings on the walls and ceilings, the stories that were told on the windows, the marble statues that were displayed. “Amazing.” she said while breathing out softly.
“Leave us be Joseph.” Michael ordered the old man when he saw Y/N walking up to a painting hidden behind a curtain. Her perfect manicured hand pulled the fabric aside. Revealing a painting of Michael as an angel.
Y/N felt the warmth of Michael’s body behind her. “Michael” she started mesmerised by the beauty of the painting. “What is this place.” her head turned to him, but her eyes lingered a second longer on the art before looking at him.
“Call it a private collection.” He noticed how she really took in his features before looking back at the painting and again back at him. To distract her he decided to test her on her knowledge. “What do you know about archangels?”
She answered on autopilot, she blurred out everything she had been told on Sunday school.
Michael noticed the warm feeling he got when she started to talk, even though all she said was what humans learned in church.
Michael could feel the warmth radiate from her skin, he wondered how soft her flesh would feel under his strong hands. “I often wondered...” she walked closer to his painting, breaking his thoughts. “Why god made humans while he already made angels.”
“I mean...” she turned back to Michael. “When I got older, I noticed the similarity in angels and humans. Did that disappoint me, he just made more useless angels in human forms.” - “Explain yourself” Michael’s voice echoed in the empty church.
“Well, take my family for example. I’m the oldest of 4 daughters. My dad used to be in church everyday, leaving me to take care of my little sisters. And whenever they did something they shouldn't it was my mistake.”
“In a way I presume that god and his angels are just another fucked up family. I feel for Michael, the way he carried the weight of the family on his shoulders, while every last one of them took all he did for granted.”
“You’re the oldest?” he asked taking a step closer.” hm-hm.”
“No mother? Just a father?” she nodded in response to his question.

“Let me guess, you did anything to please him, your father? But when the youngest fell out of line you were to one to blame, he needed you to get them back and punish them or their behaviour.” His voice sounded very close.
Y/N looked beside her, seeing how Michael bended a little forward so his lips where near her ear.
“Y-yes, how did you know...” the words came trembling out of her mouth, goose bumps covered her spine. Y/N turned fully around to look at Michael. He didn’t take a step back, their faces almost touched.
Michael’s eyes looked back and forward between her glistering eyes and her soft red lips. Starting to understand why many of their angels where seduced to having intercourse with a human.
Y/N’s eyes wander back into the old church, not idea of the thoughts roaming his mind “Joseph doesn’t own this place, does he?”

“No.” Michael’s voice was stern, trying to get a grip. “How long have you known him? “ She added, trying to break the electric feeling rushing through her veins.
“Few years.” He saw how the wheels in her head were spinning.
“You know, Michael this place was sold over ten decades ago... So, when you said you know the owner you were referring to...” Her eyes locked back on to his perfect green pearls. “Me.” Her eyebrow flicked up before she started to laugh.
“Nice try, but serious.” her smile faded.
Just when she thought he couldn’t get any closer to her, he did. Her head tilted back. “You know... you and I are much alike.” the back of his hand caressed her cheek. “You really get me, Y/N. I never thought a human being would see through the stories that have been told since the beginning.”
“Human being, beginning, what?” she repeated. He didn’t answer her. “I never thought I would be so invested in a human’s life. But you... you trigger something in me.”
Y/N tried to take a step back, every warning sign inside her went off. Nerves where jumping, she wanted to get as far away from him as she could. But when she planned on taking the step she felt his free hand on the back of her neck.
“It’s such a shame there is no inch of grace floating inside your veins.” Y/N’s breath hitched. “M-Michael, you’re scaring... what do you mean, who are you?”

“I am, Michael.”
Y/N’s brows frowned and then she followed his glance over to the painting behind her. “Wha... No.” she turned back and all she could see was the beautiful white blueish glow coming from his eyes.
And although she knew it was best to run for her life, the revelation in front of her nailed her to the ground. As Michael took a step back the walls behind him covered with a black shadow portraying wings.
Y/N breathed heavy, unable to tear her gaze of him while he walked slowly back to her. His hand took its place back on her cheek while his eyes looked at her slightly parted lips. Her hand hold onto his side.
Trying to understand all that happened, she felt scared yet excited, a rush she couldn't quiet explain. When Michael bowed closer to her, she didn’t move.
And right before he closed the gap between them, placing his angelic lips on hers, he whispered:
“Oh help me father, for I am about to sin.”

Relaxation
Part two in my run at the 9-part hot summer challenge from JackieDee!
The road trip wasn't a hard sell. Dean only gets through the first two sentences of his persuasive speech before his brother interrupts.
"Say no more, man. We're in."
Eileen nods vigorously at his side, adding "you had us at beach."
Jack lets out a high-pitched whoop and scurries out of the room, returning less than a minute later having changed into his swimsuit.
"Slow it down a little, buddy," Dean laughs. "We need to drive there first. That's generally how a road trip works." At his son's crestfallen expression he raises his palms. "You'll see how much fun it can be to drive when you're not driving towards a monster or other disaster. The beach will be waiting for us whenever we get there, but on our way we'll get to enjoy plenty of greasy food, loud music, and the thrill of the open road."
Thanks to their years of hunter training they get both cars loaded up and are pulling out of the Bunker in less than an hour, with Baby in the lead.
"Rest and relaxation here we come," Dean crows as he pushes down hard on the accelerator and points Baby's nose towards the Jersey shore.

We're Not in CW Anymore - 4
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
The reader gets blasted into another universe - one where Sam and Dean Winchester are real people, real hunters, and really fucked up. To her surprise (or horror), Dean has been getting glimpses of her life in his dreams and is completely enamored with her. It's nothing like the cable-friendly CW show that she knows and loves.
Reader x Dean Winchester
Warnings: language, violence

Chapter 4: Target: Expect More. Pay Less.
You woke up to the sound of the most annoying alarm you’ve heard in your life. You groaned. “Please turn it off,” you complained. You heard Dean flail his arm around until he hit the snooze button. “Thank god,” you said, snuggling into your pillow. Why was your pillow so hard? Maybe because it was Dean. You quickly realized what was happening – your head was on Dean’s chest, hand resting on his bicep. His arm was wrapped around your waist tightly. You were CUDDLING with this man. With a jolt, you sat up.
“What the fuck?!” you yelled.
“What the fuck me?! What the fuck YOU!” Dean yelled back. “You were on ME, sweetheart. I think that makes you the more guilty party.”
“Ugh!” was all you could respond. He had a point, as infuriating as it was.
Scrambling off the bed, you tripped over the ridiculously long sweatpants and almost faceplanted into the floor. Dean was making you very flustered, and that was pissing you off. You’re supposed to be keeping your guard up with this guy, not snuggling him. You walked over to his desk, grabbing the pile of your neatly folded clothes. “I need more clothes,” you stated. You weren’t too keen on wearing the same outfit over and over. A clean pair of panties would be nice.
“I’ll give you a card and you can go shopping. Just don’t go too crazy,” Dean said. You rolled your eyes. You were planning on hitting up a Target, not Nordstrom. You headed to the bathroom to get ready for the day, replaying everything in your head. It felt so strong and comforting to be in his arms. The feeling of his rock-hard chest gave you butterflies. You wanted to lie there with him all day and trace your fingertips over his tattoos. No, you thought, you still don’t know this guy. He could be a cold-blooded killer.
You walked back into Dean’s room to find him putting on his boots. You took a moment to admire his tattoo sleeve – you recognized a few references to classic rock band album covers. You wondered if that was the only place he had tattoos.
“Like what you see, sweetheart?” Dean teased. You had no idea how long you’ve been staring.
“Just curious about your tattoos,” you answered honestly. You couldn’t think of a snarky response.
“What, TV Dean wasn’t tatted up?” he asked. You shook your head.
“Just that anti-possession symbol on his chest,” you answered. He chuckled and pulled his t-shirt down enough for you to see the same tattoo in the same place. “Like this?”
“Yeah, that’s the one.” You rolled your eyes. Why did he have to be this charming?
“Alright,” he said, clapping his hands together, “Sammy’s got a case, and you need to go shopping. Let’s get to it.”
Dean dropped you off at Target while he and Sam went on a supply run. You bought all the essentials – some leggings, a few tops, underwear, socks, a duffle, and you had to splurge on a little eyeliner. It’s not for Dean, it’s for me, you told yourself. You checked out and called Sam, letting him know you were done and ready to be picked up. To your relief, he told you they’re already on their way. You sat on a bench outside with your bags, flipping through social media on your phone. You weren’t following anyone, but you could at least watch the reels. You were entranced with the videos of the bottles going down the stairs, so much so that you barely noticed a figure standing in front of you. Looking up, you saw a tall man with a snapback and a crooked smile. “Hey there baby. Waitin’ on someone? Mind if I join you?”
Great. You literally had nowhere to go, so you’d be stuck with this douche-canoe. You could tell him to fuck off, but the people pleaser in you was scared of how he’d react. You’re not scared to sass Dean, you told yourself. Maybe you were more comfortable around him than you thought. Disrupting your thoughts, the guy sat next to you on the bench, leaning back and placing an arm around your shoulders. Screw this so hard.
“Please don’t touch me,” you said, voice shaking. Way to be assertive.
“Baby I think you’d better come home with me. You can show me all those pretty clothes you bought. I wouldn’t mind watching you undress.” You cringed, not seeing a way out of this situation.
Like a knight in shining armor, you watched as the Impala drove up to the front of the store. Bolting up and grabbing your bags, you hurriedly mumbled, “Sorry, there’s my ride.” Except he grabbed your wrist and yanked you back to face him.
“I think you’re just trying to blow me off, which I really don’t appreciate. Where are your manners?” he seethed. This dude was seriously nuts if he thought you were coming home with him. Before you could say anything, you heard a car door slam.
“Hey dipshit, get your hands off of her before I rearrange your fucking face!” Dean was PISSED. He was coming right at him, fists clenched, the look in his eyes absolutely terrifying. Yeah, Dean was a scary motherfucker. But it kind of turned you on how protective he was being.
“Woah hey man, we’re cool. We were just talking, weren’t we?” the man turned toward you as if you’d back him up. You, however, had your eyes fixed on Dean’s.
“Let’s go,” you said quietly. Dean wasted no time in putting his arm around your shoulders and walking you to the car, but not before sending a swift punch to the man’s gut. You didn’t look back but could hear him groaning and yelling profanities. Dean opened the door for you, grabbing your bags to throw them in the trunk. Flipping off the man as a final “fuck you,” Dean sped out of the parking lot.
“You good?” Sam asked. You nodded, knowing your voice would quiver too much if you tried to talk. Dean simply grunted, not wanting to open his mouth and scare you with his anger. The car ride was silent for about an hour. Dean kept checking on you, looking through the rearview mirror. He was worried. You looked out the window, desperately trying to calm yourself down. The entire situation had you shaking. The fear you felt with that man, then Dean’s booming voice, it was a lot to process. You immediately felt safe when you saw Dean pull up in the Impala. You instinctually knew he’d protect you, and that thought bounced around your head for a while. Maybe this whole soulmate thing was real.

Butcher lives au where in the aftermath of everything that went down in part 40 and Arthur and Noel "disappearing". The Butcher and Oscar bump into eachother and have a chat (Oscar threatens to kill him ^^) and talk about everything that went down and maybe bond over their weird homoeroticism with Arthur (funnier option if Butcher can tell Oscar has feelings for Arthur and goes "I loved 'im too you know" and Oscars eyes just widen and he doesn't say anything). Is this anything

Supernatural Headcanon / AU where everything is the same, but Dean has tinnitus.
I mean, the guy's been around gunshots and screaming monsters for his entire life. It's DEFINITELY gonna ruin his hearing a 'lil bit.
Dean has tinnitus, so when Castiel initially tries contacting him, he's mostly unphased by this sudden, piercing ringing he's hearing in his ears because he just assumes his tinnitus is getting worse.
Castiel: Dean Winchester, I've been trying to contact you for weeks. It seems that you have been ignoring my call.
Dean: What the hell are you talking about? You're pretty shit at getting in contact with people, y'know, because I haven't gotten a single sign a frigging angel wanted to contact me.
Castiel: Some have described my true voice as a "high-pitched ringing." What did you think caused all that glass to shatter?
Dean: Ah- yeah. Okay, yeah. That's why.
