The Winston Family

Zeus : Politics and Government

The Winston family, a modern echo of political royalty, stands as an iconic emblem of American legacy and privilege. At its helm is the venerable patriarch, First Winston (91), former President of the United States and his wife, former first lady First Winston (82). During his time in the White House, he made many important changes for the Democratic party, including federal appointments of judges like First Lancaster (87). Much like the Kennedy family, the Winstons are an enduring symbol of wealth and influence, ever ready for their close-up on the grand stage of American politics and high society. Poised, affluent, and with an air of calculated charm, the Winstons continue to captivate the nation, leaving an indelible mark on the pages of American history.

Their eldest daughter, the accomplished New York Senator First Winston (58), has been the subject of persistent presidential rumors with many wondering if she will follow in the footsteps of her father before her as the next election cycle looms closer and closer. The pressure is mounting and only exacerbated by the public declaration of a presidential run by First Lancaster (64), and while she has not made a public statement yet, the rumors are building that we may have another Winston in the White House before too long. Married to the affable financial entrepreneur, First Thornton (58), the power couple has raised three children to the best of their ability amidst the ever watchful eyes of the media.

The former President's son First Winston (55) has made his mark as a socialite over the years, alongside his wife, the former model First Winston (54). The power couple are often seen at any and all high society functions or events, taking time to speak to the press and continue to push out the good meaning agenda of the Winston family. With three children of their own, the family has been trained from the start to be able to answer any question with grace and avoid any PR nightmares.

Rounding out the former First Family is their youngest daughter, First Winston (52). She has always been extremely driven, resulting in her career as an esteemed attorney who runs her own practice alongside her husband First Keaton (52), a lawyer. Celebrating Dad: 20 Books for Father’s Day

“Whether biological, foster, or adoptive, they teach us through the encouragement they give, the questions they answer, the limits they set, and the strength they show in the face of difficulty and hardship.” ―Barack Obama

Barack Obama’s Father’s Day Proclamation given on June 15, 2012 was a loving tribute to fathers and men who stand in the gap, taking on an essential role in the lives of children. It is a running joke that Father’s Day does not get as much recognition as other holidays, but there are great men who are ever-present and debunk myths and stereotypes about Black fathers. The search for children’s books that shine a brilliant light on Black fathers, granddads, and men who uplift their families—biological and otherwise—revealed a considerable need for more books on the subject.

Obama’s proclamation also included a call-to-action for some dads to “re-engage with their families.” The reasons for disengagement may vary. Issues like divorce or incarceration, which are the realities for many children, are addressed along with stories and poems about dads and granddads cooking, doing hair, praying, or just hanging out.

Cleaning House

I used to run a screencap site, back in the day.  

I’m officially putting all my old caps up on Dropbox.  Take ‘em, use ‘em, post ‘em, use them as your own, wipe your ass with them, I really don’t care.  I just want ‘em off my computer and in Dropbox, I thought they might actually be useful for somebody.

Alice In Wonderland   Part One   Part Two  This is the 1985 two-part miniseries starring Natalie Gregory as Alice.  It’s my favorite Alice ever, in fact, and the Jabberwocky terrified the crap out of nine-year-old-Snakey.

America’s Sweethearts  2001 Rom-Com starring John Cusack, Julia Roberts, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula 1992 “classic” starring Gary Oldman, Keanu Reeves, and Winona Ryder.

The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.  1993 western/comedy starring Bruce Campbell and a slew of other hilarious people.  Episodes 1-8, the shower scene from Bad Luck Betty, and some of the special features.    @fuckyeahbruce-campbell  this might interest you.

The Burning Zone 1996-97 sci-fi show starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Edward Marcase, an infectious disease/biowarfare doctor.  I could only find two episodes, and the quality is not that great.

Dark Harbour 1998 thriller starring Alan Rickman, Polly Walker, and Norman Reedus.  Yeah, if you’ve seen the movie you can guess what parts I capped.

Labyrinth  Yes, the David Bowie one.  It’s the Anniversary Edition, so that’s the AE in the file names.
