I used to be big into My Singing Monsters in summer last year. I did humanizations of the werdos. yknow, those monsters that sing actual lyrics? pretty cool

I’ve had a few redesigns and redraws of these guys, this one drawing is the latest. October 2023. So, a little while ago.

I gave them human names too- left to right- Tucker, Maggie, Pearl, and Stuart

I posted these on reddit previously, but I’m posting them here too because why not. May or may not post my several other monster humanizations too. Just maybe.

“next rendition of chorus,” those of you who’ve been following this series a while may say. “but good lird whimsy you’ve already rebooted it twice! when will it end!”

OKAY! THIS IS NOT ANOTHER REBOOT! Think of it more as a little polish. While the last two generations meant mags and I completely rethought and changed up major things in the story and organization of Chorus, I’m calling this little revamp “3.5” rather than “4” because we’re keeping everything we had established with it for now but just adjusting some things and rewriting the currently public chapters, because I just feel like I can do better and present the story in a way I’ll be more satisfied with.

I am also moving Chorus from tumblr to AO3 (don’t worry if you don’t have an account, you’ll still be able to read it!) for various reasons, namely way better formatting, resources and chapter links that won’t break every five seconds.

This has been in the works a while and I’m already halfway through rewriting all the current chapters!! Hoping to keep this momentum, as we’ve garnered quite a following on discord and have been feeling more inspired and motivated to continue producing chorus content than ever. Thank you so so much to everyone engaging with and supporting Chorus both on tumblr and in the msm fan community on discord <3 EXTRA thank you to @thejesshihowareya for sowing so much interest in the series amongst his group and providing us with a space to speak about it! bless you jesstie

Do the werdos exist in your au?

Yup! they're all buds despite living on different islands, and there's only one of each werdo. Tawkerr lives on plant island, Parlsona lives on air, Maggpi on cold, and Stoowarb on earth. I want to give them names but so far only Maggpi has one (Pieka). I promise all of them are having a good time in that image, Maggpi wouldn't go out of its way to hang out with the others if it didn't like them. Also fun fact unlike monsters who grow out of having a neck scruff when they're adults the werdos seem to keep them well into adulthood!
