Hallan cuerpos calcinados cerca de base militar en Ecuador: 16 soldados investigados por desaparición de cuatro menores

La policía ecuatoriana encontró varios cuerpos en un área de manglares cercana a la Base Militar de Taura en Guayaquil, donde las autoridades investigan si los restos corresponden a cuatro niños de entre 11 y 15 años que fueron vistos por última vez el 8 de diciembre.

El caso ha conmocionado a Ecuador desde que Luis Arroyo, padre de dos de los menores desaparecidos, denunció que sus hijos regresaban a casa después de jugar fútbol cuando dos vehículos con personas en uniforme militar llegaron a la zona y se llevaron a cuatro menores.

Las imágenes de vigilancia revisadas por Associated Press muestran a un grupo de niños corriendo y a hombres uniformados que suben a dos menores a una camioneta que luego circula por las calles de Guayaquil, lo cual respalda el testimonio del padre.

El ministro de Defensa Gian Carlo Loffredo reveló que según un informe militar, los menores fueron detenidos por una patrulla con 16 agentes que “observaron a ocho personas que supuestamente estaban robando a una mujer” y posteriormente fueron liberados sin ser entregados a la policía.

Los cuerpos encontrados el martes presentaban signos de violencia y estaban calcinados, según confirmaron a AP dos funcionarios que pidieron no ser identificados por no estar autorizados a hablar con los medios, mientras que la Fiscalía busca acusar a algunos militares por desaparición forzada.

El presidente Daniel Noboa, quien ha desplegado a militares para combatir el crimen como parte de su estrategia de seguridad con miras a su reelección en febrero, prometió que su gobierno no encubrirá a nadie en este caso de desaparición.

Las manifestaciones no se hicieron esperar y decenas de personas se congregaron el lunes en Guayaquil para exigir respuestas y responsabilidades, mientras que el Ministerio de Defensa ordenó mantener bajo custodia a los 16 soldados asignados a la Base de Taura, donde se encuentra el cuartel general de la Fuerza Aérea Ecuatoriana.

Super beef, natch, plus I figure she has just random scars from experiments and mercenary battles. There’s a big litchdenburg lightning scar stretching from cheek to hip that’s from a shock collar. Since. Why not, and I feel like Jackson’s Hole would do that for genetic constructs/slaves who act out especially when there wasn’t a buyer anymore, and they don’t have a lot of other options for keeping her controlled. Plus a funky fresh cattle tag! Cause I love sprinkling trauma from dehumanization wherever I go.

easiest name to have, and perhaps i care too much about yuki and nyck that i've put the most brainpower into this. welcome taura, at least, taura of a few months. she'll undergo a few more changes that i'm currently working on lol

you'll notice that as i design the dresses, there'll be overlaps. rota and taura both have the same collar and sleeveless, ferrata and taura have one slit in the skirt, and several others will have similar features. this is to reference the similarities and overlap teams have, so if they share an engine or name, they'll have similar parts.

taura was easy to design because yuki and nyck had plants on their helmets - yuki with his momiji and nyck with his frisian lilies - along with alphatauri being the name of a star, so i had to put a star motif somewhere. other parts of the dress are inspired by the AT-04 itself, namely the floor being referenced near the collar and the shoes being wire-like.

that line is based off of some of the lines that are on the AT merch, but i based the shape off of imola circuit

It is a curious and poignant thought that I can now find grief in things.

I wonder if Bujold knew she was writing such a powerful transgender allegory with Taura. Strong as she was, the way she moved through the world without feeling like she could be a part of it because of her appearance, her long belief that nobody could love her. All of these things, struggled through. Fought through. Recalling these things about her, I found new and fresh personal connection with them.

I reread Cryoburn today and though I knew it was coming, the news of her passing struck me hard.

No one should die of old age at 30.

It makes sense that, unlike them, Julia has shown herself to have a kinder nature, so even if she had gained free will, she would still follow her path of kindness and goodness, and the trauma of seeing someone dead may have helped her in this.

Unlike the others, Taura never had to eat the apple since it was made with the apple seed, so it would explain her more questioning and inventive behavior.

After the Graves Siblings were banished to Hell and with the arrival of Xabier, Taura disappeared from Eden.😉🎩

I want to clarify something about the forbidden fruit in Graves of Eden:

The fruit does NOT make you evil, it only makes you able to freely express critical thinking, a human who has not eaten the fruit cannot express doubts in words and if tries they are automatically silenced (it's like when the words don't come out) ,humans have critical thinking but without fruit they cannot express it.

the fruit also gives you knowledge of good and evil, when ashley and andrew eat the fruit ashley is quicker to embrace her evil nature while andrew wants to remain in denial, that he is worthy of heaven until they are banished to hell (there he can no longer deny that he is as wicked as ashley).

At some point Andrew and Ashley would force Julia to eat the fruit after what happened with Nina (I don't know how but they would do it) but she did not suffer any notable changes other than that she began to have feelings of anxiety and maturely understood what happened with Nina (before eating the fruit she thought she was simply hurt or something like that), it was after the graves forced her to eat the fruit that she had a mental breakdown about nina's death.

The angels did not banish Julia because 1) the fruit had been forced down her throat and she never wanted to eat it, 2) her behavior did not change and 3) she had already been through enough.

When they created Xabier, they did so with the same amount of knowledge as Julia(maybe with a seed of pomegranate alongside lions mane and anemone), so that she would not have to teach him everything from the start and they left Jeanette as the inspector angel alongside casimir, jasmine, joan and hobart (in my au jeanette is an angel along with her parents and Xabier's parents).

quiero aclarar algo sobre la fruta prohibida en graves of eden:

la fruta NO te hace malvado, solo hace que puedas expresar de forma libre el pensamiento critico, un humano que no ha comido la fruta no puede expresar dudas en palabras y si lo intenta automáticamente queda silenciado(es como cuando las palabras no te salen), los humanos tienen pensamiento critico pero sin la fruta no pueden expresarlo.

la fruta tambien te da conocimiento del bien y el mal, cuando ashley y andrew comen la fruta ashley es mas rapida en abrazar su naturaleza malvada mientras que andrew quiere mantenerse en negacion, de que es merecedor del cielo hasta que son desterrados al infierno(ahi el ya no puede negar nada).

en algun momento andrew y ashley forzarian a julia a comer la fruta tras lo ocurrido con nina(no se como pero lo harian) pero a ella no sufrio ningun cambio destacable aparte de que empezo a tener sentimientos de ansiedad y entendio de forma madura que habia pasado con nina(antes de comer la fruta pensaba que simplemente estaba herida o algo asi), fue despues de que los graves le forzaran a comer la fruta que tuvo un mental breakdown por lo de nina.

los angeles no desterraron a julia porque 1) la fruta habia sido forzada en su garganta y ella nunca quiso comerla ,2)su comportamiento no cambio y 3)ya habia pasado por suficiente.

al crear a xabier lo hicieron con la misma cantidad de conocimiento que julia, para que asi ella no tuviera que enseñarle todo desde cero y dejaron como angel inspectora a jeanette junto a otros angeles como jasmine, casimir, joan y hobart(en mi au ella es un angel junto a sus padres y los de xabier).
