We don't need to minimize James Charles being predatory towards minors and straight men who are uninterested in order to say this though. Re: "this isn't makeup gurus..." like, when Tati mentioned James Charles being inappropriate at her party by harassing someone that wasn't the end of that story (and was in the SAME video as the vitamins controversy) and men who were propositioned as underaged boys still keep coming forwards. For all anyone can tell, James has definitely not stopped propositioning teenagers.

But regardless the silly vitamins drama video directly included her saying James sexually harassed someone and was using his fame and money to manipulate people/harass them. It was all the same video.

I think referring to the James Somerton situation, or the hbomberguy and Todd in the Shadows videos in general, as "YouTuber Drama" is really underselling the level of academic dishonesty, intellectual theft, and malicious misinformation being discussed and spread by this man and others like him.

This isn't makeup gurus accusing each other of being inappropriate at a birthday dinner or a philosophy channel getting in hot water on Twitter for having a controversial queer celebrity do a voiceover line without fully vetting everything he's ever said.

It's large scale plagiarism and hundreds of thousands of dollars of profiting off other people's work without even credit.

(And 64k in scams. That too.)

And no, I didn't know who any of these people except Harry and Todd were until now, with the exception of MAYBE having heard of Internet Historian in passing, so I had that same "who even are these people" response as most of you.

People like James are why I cannot in good faith just Tell people my college major.

Aastha Vidya Mandir English Medium School conducted various competitions and tree plantation programme on Veer Bal Diwas as per orders of Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Education, Government of India, Central Board of Secondary Education and Directorate of Public Instruction, Raipur, Government of Chhattisgarh in auspices of the District Education Department, Dantewada at Education City Jawanga of Geedam block.

Chief guest Dantewada MLA Chaitram Atami and special guests Geedam Janpad Panchayat President Anti Wake, Janpad Panchayat member Rajesh Kashyap, School Management Committee President Bomda Ram Kowasi, former District Panchayat Vice President Manish Surana, Rakesh Kushwaha, Railway Board member Deepak Bajpai, social worker Dr. Budhri Tati, Jasveer Negi, Councilor Shrikant Rao were present.

Principal of Aastha Vidya Mandir Gopal Pandey, along with Vice Principals Pramod Gupta and Rabindranath Panigrahi welcomed the guests and public representatives by presenting them with a bouquet. Martyrdom brave children Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh were remembered and their story was described and tribute was paid.

A tree plantation program was also organized in the premises of Aastha Vidya Mandir in memory of the brave children. Various activities like speech, essay writing and painting competitions were organized among the students to showcase bravery and sacrifice.

Superintendent Ravi Prakash Thakur managed the stage anchoring with pleasant words and the competition programme was coordinated smoothly by PGT lecturer Amujuri Biswanath - The National UN Volunteers-India.

The winners of the competition were awarded as first, second and third prizes. MLA Chaitram Atami said that the honourable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had announced that Veer Bal Diwas would be celebrated on December 26, remembering the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's younger Sahibzade Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh.

Every child should be courageous and fearless by taking inspiration from Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. Urdo Thakur, Ajay Awasthi, Dinesh Kaushal, Rajendra Swai, Rajneesh Surana, Shambhu Yadav, Rajesh Surana, Ajay Nagesh, Anish George, Adarsh ​​Oswal, Chandan Rai, Nathuram Anant, employees and 200 children were present in this program.

Yes there are far more important issues to worry about in our world than YouTube beauty guru gossip but to use one of the most despicable acts in recent history as an excuse to avoid talking about one’s own nauseating backstory (and current actions) is truly deplorable. I don’t get how anyone can still stan him. Go and support creators like Jackie Aina, RawBeautyKristi, Robert Welsh, Nyma Tang, and countless others who continue to bring light and positivity to an otherwise controversial community. (Of course most of the controversy comes from the top 1% of creators within that group, most beauty gurus are genuinely good people who just love makeup.)

Beauty gurus on YouTube are affiliated with the Slaughter, drama channels are affiliated with the Hunt/Eye, and Jeffree Star is an avatar of the Web that’s been touched by the Slaughter. If your reputation was your life, these people are at war and will do anything to murder eachother. Maybe even some Eye is involved with all those “receipts” people threaten eachother with, old racist tweets that resurface, and the looming threat of being exposed.
