The Waterfall Wedding in Tappen, BC

Stage 2, then four. We did our formals at Margaret Falls, and they have these incredible rock walls. On one side, there’s shrubbery growing all up it, on the other side, there’s rock walls. The whole valley curves upwards, however you’re walking through the bottom of a deep fault line.

I’m getting ahead of myself, though. We start with some details – the rings, the dress.

And of course, a groom getting ready. We had a first look at 2:45, and a 3:30 ceremony, so there was no time to waste!

The girls were getting ready at an airbnb nearby, and there were certainly many beautiful moments.

We had decided on a first look at Sunnybrea Winery. There’s an incredible view, a farmhouse, and a huge field. The field was my first choice, however I found ample evidence there had been many cows in that field recently. I kept looking, and I’m glad I did – there was a grassy field with a much better view.

And this first look – pay special attention to the look on this fella’s face.

On the way up, he said, “Is she nervous?”, and I said yes. Then he said, “Well, she is marrying me.” and we both laughed. I thought that was a really sweet moment. It stuck in my head.

We had a little smoke, from the forest fire in Jasper, but in my opinion it made the photo look that much more surreal.

Off to the ceremony – it was literally on the beach at Harold Park!

The ceremony was beautiful, with vows and of course a kiss at the end. In a related note, I’m getting quite good at every guest group shots.

This next part is the part I’m most excited to show you – the photos at Margaret Falls.

Those photos were not effortless – they required a lot of climbing up and down steep hills with a lot of slipping. These two were absolute champs, and I couldn’t be more excited about the photos that turned out. That, above, is a rock wall, with foliage growing out of it. There was a path leading up, and just enough room for the two of them. Talk about unique wedding photos!

At our amazing backyard venue, the pig was smoking.

This is one of my favourite times. I chat with the guests, and get candids and posed photos. The candids really bring an album together, they are the glue.

And the way this sunset light just hit!

Unfortunately, this is where I’ll have to leave you. This is just a sampler, which is a fancy way of saying it’s a sneak peek of this gorgeous wedding. It’s a big one too – can you believe that’s 64 photos?

Ein atemberaubender Thriller!

Die Kaskaden des Salamanders von Van Deus ist der zweite Teil einer Trilogie. Obwohl ich den ersten Teil "Operation Sonnenwende" nicht gelesen habe, konnte ich sehr gut in die Geschichte einsteigen.

Als im Central Park Dokumente übergeben werden, wird der Fotograf unfreiwillig ein Zeuge.. Das hätte er besser nicht sehen sollen, denn daraufhin wird er erschossen. Die erstellten Fotos von der Übergabe hat er klugerweise versteckt, denn sie sind so brisant, dass sie purer Sprengstoff für die Öffentlichkeit darstellen. Zur gleichen Zeit steigt eine Frau in einer kriminellen Organisation in die Führungsebene auf. Ihr Name ist Victoria, sie ist eiskalt, rücksichtslos, selbstbewusst und niemand kann sich ihr in den Weg stellen.

Peter, Rosanna und Joe gehören einer Opposition an und gehen einer unglaublichen und geheimen Weltverschwörung auf die Spur. Ein Geheimbund will die Weltherrschaft an sich reißen und geht dafür über Leichen.. eine riesige Katastrophe soll inszeniert werden, bei der die Welt den Atem anhalten wird ... Ein Kampf um Leben und Tod, geführt auf beiden Seiten mit intelligenten und erfahrenen Spezialisten.

Ein leicht verständlicher und flüssiger Textstil zieht sich durch das gesamte Buch. Eine komplexe und tolle Geschichte mit viel Aktion, Morden, Zerstörungen, zahlreichen Geheimnissen und Informationen zur Überwachung. Ein klar strukturiertes Buch mit vielen Verschwörungstheorien, die mich von Anfang an gefesselt hat. Die Darstellung und Beschreibung der Charaktere waren sehr authentisch und realistisch. Durch den Perspektivenwechsel konnte ich mich gut mit den Personen identifizieren. Ich konnte mich gut in jede Figur hinein versetzen, mit ihnen mitfühlen und jeden ihrer Gedankengänge mitverfolgen.

Die Darstellung der Opposition finde ich hochinteressant und ich habe diese wirklich sehr gern verfolgt. Obwohl sie so oft im Dunkeln tappen und so viele Wege ins Nichts führen, schaffen sie es doch mit ein bisschen Glück und vor allem mit ihrem Denkvermögen dem Bösen immer einen kleinen Schritt voraus zu sein.

Mir gefällt die mitreißende und unterhaltende Geschichte mit den zahlreichen fesselnden und spannenden Aspekten sehr gut. Die Spannung wurde besonders durch unerwartete und plötzliche Wendungen aufgebaut, diese belebten den Text.

Es werden gegenwärtige Themen behandelt, beispielsweise wie fortgeschritten die Überwachungsmöglichkeiten durch die globale Digitalisierung sind. Eine faszinierende, aber auch beängstigende Erfahrung, die man durch diese Überwachung erlebt und sich oft fragt, was Fiktion und was Realität ist. Ein wirklich großartiger Thriller.

Sie wollten helfen - und wurden vergewaltigt: In Hamburg ereigneten sich bereits mehrere Fälle von sexuellem Missbrauch auf besonders perfide Art.

Wie die Hamburger Morgenpost berichtet, ereignete sich der zuletzt gemeldete Fall vor zwei Monaten, wurde aber erst am vergangenen Freitag zur Anzeige gebracht. Eine 54-jährige Frau wurde demnach am 13. Januar gegen 22 Uhr auf dem Lottbeker Weg in Ohlstedt auf einen winkenden Mann am Straßenrand aufmerksam, der nach dem Weg zur nächsten U-Bahn fragte. Die Frau stieg aus aus ihrem Wagen, um ihm besser den Weg zeigen zu können. Dann tauchte ein weiterer Mann auf und zerrte sie in ein nahe gelegenes Waldstück, wo sie von beiden Männern vergewaltigt wurde.

Zwei ähnliche Fälle ereigneten sich in der Nähe von Krankenhäusern. So wurde eine 28-jährige Krankenschwester am 7. Januar im Lohmühlenpark an der Asklepios Klinik St. Georg um kurz vor 22 Uhr auf dem Weg zu ihrem Auto auf Hilfeschreie aus dem gegenüberliegenden Park aufmerksam. Als sie vor Ort zur Hilfe eilen wollte, wurde sie von fünf Männern überwältigt und schließlich vergewaltigt.

Der zweite Fall ereignete sich am 8. März, als eine 35-jährige Krankenhaus-Angestellte der Asklepios Klinik Altona im Parkhaus Hilferufe wahrnahm. Sie suchte die vermeintlich verletzte Person, ging dafür in den angrenzenden Park. Dort fiel ein Mann über sie her und missbrauchte die Frau, wie die Morgenpost berichtet.

Dass die Fälle jedoch von den selben Tätern verübt wurden, glaubt die Hamburger Polizei nicht. Die Beschreibungen durch die Opfer seien nicht identisch. Bisher konnte die Polizei weder Täter festnehmen noch Hinweise sicherstellen.

The NFL kicks off its 100th season with "2019 NFL KICKOFF PRESENTED BY EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL 20" – 7:30 PM ET Thursday, September 5. Artists and Inspire Change advocates MEEK MILL, MEGHAN TRAINOR and RAPSODY will perform live before the Green Bay – Chicago game at GRANT PARK in Chicago.

To further the celebration of both the NFL and the Bears 100th season, 2019 KICKOFF EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL 20 will take place on Thursday, September 5 and will be open to fans from 12:00 PM CT to 10:30 PM CT at Grant Park. Kickoff Experience is free and open to the public and brings fans closer to the NFL through sponsors' interactive experiences and dynamic promotions. Additionally, Bears' Legends will be onsite to sign autographs throughout the afternoon: JIM MCMAHON, MATT FORTE and CHARLES TILLMAN.

Following Meek Mill's performance, fans are encouraged to stay and make history together as the Green Bay - Chicago game is shown live on massive screens throughout Grant Park. This will be a first-of-its-kind NFL KICKOFF WATCH PARTY for fans onsite. Throughout the game, Bears' and Packers' Legends will be on stage along with the integration of Bears' fan rituals and a free-to-play game for interactive fan experience.

A portion of both Meek Mill's and Meghan Trainor's performances will be featured in simulcast coverage of the 40-minute pregame show from Chicago from 7:30 – 8:10 PM ET on NBC and NFL Network.

The show leads into the opener of the NFL's 100th season between Green Bay – Chicago. The historic NFC North matchup has been one of the NFL's greatest rivalries throughout the last several decades and will start the season off at Soldier Field (NBC, streamed live via NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app across all platforms , Westwood One Radio Sports, 8:20 PM ET).

Day 7: Sorrento and classic cars

As planned, we drove to the White Post Auto Museum in Tappen to go look at some classics and check out their fabulous antiques store (with a bunch of Gulf memorabilia). As it happens, they also had a very nice condition 1973 MGB for sale that Geoff was obviously interested in. Reasonable price, too. We stopped at two garage sales on the way, but didn't find any goodies to buy. Drove back along the Blind Bay road and saw the shoreline of the Shuswap lake. Very pretty area here and the water levels are very high still. We eventually got back "home" and just relaxed a bit, played with the puppy and then went for a beautiful walk in the North Shuswap Roderick Hage park. Lots of little fish in the rivers and some baby garter snakes. Had a lovely meal on the deck outside for dinner and managed to not get eaten alive by the mosquitoes too much. Finished the day with a family board game called Carcassonne and that was good fun, too. Today we'll be leaving for Golden to meet another old friend and I expect to see some beautiful landscapes on the way.

Five-Acres, a Junkyard, and Over 300 Possible Classics in Need a New Owner

Do you want to get away from it all and own a collection of vintage vehicles of varying degrees? Then the Great White North is calling you.

How about a rare 1927 Ford Model T truck, a 1947 Mercury Ute imported from Australia, and a restored 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle with a 396-cubic inch big block V-8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission?

These are just a small sampling of the over 300 rides that will be included in a real estate sale in Tappen, British Columbia, Canada.

Owner Mike Hall, 60, tells Driving that he has been collecting cars all of his life. For the past 40 years he’s bought up vehicles all across Canada.

Hall owns so many of them that he lost count, but estimates that there are at least 300 or so that will be included with his property sale to whoever can cough up roughly $1 million bucks ($1.45 million Canadian.)

“Just today I have responded to 31 inquires already,” says Hudson Purba, the Century 21 realtor who is handling the sale.

The property is currently zoned for auto salvage. In addition to all those rusty cars, the lucky new owner will also get a 900-sq-ft restoration shop, a 1,200-sq-ft steel building, and plenty of extra materials to build more storage space.

Hall estimates the vehicles value anywhere from $500 to $35,000 a pop, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.

“I started accumulating cars when I was 20. First it was 50 cars. Then the collection grew to 100. I bought more and more. It’s easy to buy them when you’re working. It’s like an addiction. With 100 cars, 200 seemed better, and now its well past 300,” Hall tells the Canadian site.

Apparently, the highway rock scaler’s wife put the kabob on his epic collecting habit and demanded he stop using their organic farm as a parking lot.

“Everyday, I’m torn about selling the property with the cars. I’m still buying cars. It’s like a sickness that I’m not getting over,” Hall said.

It’s definitely a condition we are familiar with, but his loss can be your gain.
