I’m on an insane mission to draw every Twi’lek.
Calling it the Twi’lek Ultimate Drawing Initiative
Wish. Me. Luck.
I’m quite a bit behind on uploading them here, but my Ko-if is all up to date. Same username as here.

First up is Tann and Ann Gella Because I’m starting with the prequels.
They can be found just before the pod race. Pretending to like someone one and clearly glaring when he can’t see their faces. It was very funny.

Tann Gella
Having been purchased as a slave from Jabba along with her twin sister Ann, the Twi'lek Tann Gella served her master Sebulba by helping him relax prior to competing in podraces.

The Untraveled Road
Krin Vel found herself sitting in the mess hall of the Dragon’s Graveyard, the largest base of the Tatooine Liberation Front. Playing nervously with one of her lekku, an childhood habit she hadn’t been able to break, as she waited for the Graveyard’s matron to return from base’s kitchen. “I’ve been wanting to ask you, dear.” Shmi Skywalker Lars began as she handed Krin a cup of blue milk before sitting down across the Rutian Twi'lek. “Do you truly realize what you've signed up for, you don’t feel forced or anything? Because you are not in any way obligated to help us.” “No one is forcing me, Mrs. Lars. I want too help the Liberation Front for my own reasons.” Krin smiled at the older woman, Shmi was a gentle soul who truly wanted the best for people. “I own it to my grandmother and father who were once slaves to support the Tatooine Liberation Front. ” Shmi returned her smile but it had a sad quality to it. “So you support the Liberation Front because believe in a free Tatooine.” A cloak of sadness enveloped the woman and Krin couldn’t hell but place own hand over the brunette’s and gave it a gentle squeeze. “Forgive me for I had to ask. Kitser can be very persuasive when it comes to recruiting people, some of the recruits don’t know what they are getting in too. And a pretty girl like yourself… your fate would be worse then most should the Hutts ever find out that you’ve supplied us with provisions.” “You wanted to be sure I understood what I signed up for.” Krin wasn’t offended, she had known Kitser for years so she could more then understand where Shmi was coming from. “But as I said I would ashamed to face my kin in the afterlife if I refused to help the TLF now."
“You are a good girl, Krin.”
“Thank you, I am not a fighter like your son or Kitser nor am I spy like my fellow Twi'leks Ann and Tann Gella but I am the granddaughter and daughter of slaves and I truly believe in a Free Tatooine.”
“We all do.” Shmi agreed, before stating more clearly. “And one day we will free.”
“My grandmother Ara used to be a dancing girl that belonged to Ingoda the Hutt. On her deathbed, my grandmother told me; that she'd been lucky that my grandfather Geras Vel had fallen in love with her at first sight when he saw her dance.”
“Your grandfather was freeborn then.”
“Yes, he worked as a bodyguard and perhaps it was fate that Ingoda hired him. One day my grandfather saved Ingoda’s life, to express his gratitude the Hutt said he would give my grandfather anything he wished.”
“And Geras asked for Ara.” Shmi finished for her.
“Yeah, he freed her, married her and together they had a daughter. Together they started a moisture farm.”
“What about your father? Was he enslaved or born into slavery”
“My father Leto was sold into slavery by his uncle, who wanted him out of the way. As result he often tried to escape, one day after my father escaped again his master decided he was’t worth the trouble and activated the tracking chip.”
Shmi took both of the younger female’s hands in her own, and just held them. An action Krin seemed to appreciate. “He must have been a brave man to risk escaping knowing that any moment his chip could go off.”
Krin nodded slowly, it was the first time she heard someone, that wasn’t her family or Kitser, say that. “My father survived the chip’s activation even if he lost his entire left arm, but he was still alive. Even when his master found him, he was still breathing. But rather then put my father out of his misery the man decided to let him and left him to die in desert. And he would had my mother Etain not accidentally stumbled upon him. She bought him to her home, nursed him back health.”
Shmi knew what happened next, it had happened to her and Clieg after all. Still she added. “They fell in love.”
“They married a few months later and I was born a few years later.” Krin paused a second before speaking again. “Can you understand why I would gladly support your cause.”
“I can and thank you for helping us.”
“And I will do so any way I can.”
