He was born in Johannesburg and educated at St. Andrew's Preparatory School in Grahamstown and Redhill School in Morningside, Johannesburg. His father is Dr. Bruce Copley, a former university professor. His brother, Donovan, is the lead singer of the Cape Town band Hot Water.

He is a South African actor. His acting credits include roles in the Academy Award-nominated science fiction film District 9, the 2010 adaptation of The A-Team, the science fiction film Elysium, the science fiction horror film Europa Report and the dark fantasy adventure film Maleficent. He also played the title character in the science fiction film Chappie, Jimmy in Hardcore Henry, and starred in two seasons as Christian Walker of the TV series Powers. Copley is married to fellow South African actress and supermodel Tanit Phoenix.

The Lost Boys: The Thirst

Because apparently we needed another terrible straight to DVD Lost Boys movie.

The Lost Boys The Thirst was released in 2010 and was directed by Dario Piana and stars Corey Feldman, Tanit Phoenix Copley and Casey B. Dolan.

In San Cazador, the vampire hunter Edgar Frog is evicted from his trailer. But the best-seller writer Gwen offers him a job to destroy the head vampire DJ X that promotes worldwide raves to increase his army of undead. 

This movie is absolutely terrible, just like the last movie ‘The Tribe’ and its come so far away from the original masterpiece that is ‘The Lost Boys’ i actually cannot of anything good to say about this movie at all other than its actually better than the last movie, but i don’t even know why.

The film is a complete wheel of cheese, its dialogue just makes me cringe every five minutes and the only thing that stopped me from smashing up the TV was the bizarre antics from Feldman that just had me laughing at how bad this movie actually is and how bad his dialogue is.

Oh and like the surfing edge the put in the last movie, this one has nightclubs and raves, because again, that's what we apparently want from a vampire movie / sequel to a classic 80s comic book vibe movie. 

The ending is horrible, it made me facepalm, and that’s never a good thing.

They use scenes from the first movie, which makes this even more of a lazier movie, as well as trying to reinforce that this is a Lost Boys movie with the soundtrack ‘Cry Little Sister’ and yet it still fails to even capture anything we had in the original movie.

It comes back to the failure of a lot of sequels to not realise what made the original material to be so good, with a film like ‘The Lost Boys’ it was the fun, the good dialogue and the effort put into the cinematography. There were also no subplots in the movie either, which both of its sequels seemed to have completely missed and crammed boring subplots in.
