"I'm sorry, you want to do what with me?" Yui asks the black-haired boy in front of her, her mouth parting in confusion.
Soya Tatsuhara smiles shyly and tilts his head to the side, still keeping a hard stare on her.
"When I say it like that then it does sound weird, doesn't it?" He inquires.
"It's not weird, per se. It's just... Why?" She asks him seriously, closing her book now and paying full attention to Soya.
The musician shrugs. "Takumi told me—"
She snickers, holding up a hand in front of her condescendingly, hoping to spare herself of some misogynistic idiocy that seemed so abundant in teen boys’ conversations. Especially those that feature Takumi Mishiro on them.
"Please, Soya. If Mishiro told you anything, it's not worth listening to. I’m speaking from experience." She says the last part disappointingly.
Soya shook his head and chose to ignore her comment.
"Takumi told me that girls typically find themselves more interested in guys when they see them with someone else." He said with a grin.
That sounds absolutely stupid. The girl he is most certainly trying to goad with this stupid stunt of his could not be more obsessed with him. In fact, Wakana usually gets quite catty whenever another girl express interest, or even remotely approaches, him. Yui has only managed to keep a friendship with them both because they are tentative, strained relationships.
"You're certainly optimistic that I'll even agree to 'fake date' you. Which is ridiculous, I'll say again." She raises her eyebrows and slump against her chair.
They were in the library now, studying for the Math and Sciences exam that would happen next week. Well, at least, she was, and it was going just swell, and she uses the past for that sentence, as she was rudely interrupted. Soya Tatsuhara decided to disrupt the peaceful aura that she had built in the back table for his stupid plot.
What miffed her the most is the fact that he came over with such a smug face, expecting her to kneel at him and agree with everything he asked of her. Soya was desperate, she could see that. So, that meant she could persuade him to give her at least something for doing this scheme he proposed to her.
"What do I get out of this? If I even agree." Yui demanded of him, tapping the end of her pen to her chin.
"Isn't being with me enough of a reward?" He smirked while saying this, which made her want to knock the moron off the table.
Yes, that was right, Soya was sitting on top of the table and looking down at her ad if he owned the place.
"No. Definitively no." She said simply, frowning at him in response.
The teen boy sighed softly, his mouth dipping down to a frown.
"Well, I… I could buy you something..." He trailed off. "Like some CDs, or… Books! Yeah, books. I mean, you like them, right?"
"I do." Yui nods.
Soya beams as if he did not just make a horrible deal with her. He could not have known that she read a lot and asking to buy her books was a terrible mistake, simply because he does not pay the least attention. Not her problem, though. If he wanted Wakana Shintani, of all people, to show interest, then this was the small price to pay.
"So, we're doing this? Actually, right? This is a deal, no backing away." He points a finger at her.
The redhead girl thinks twice, the answer glowing brightly in her mind. She was going to agree anyway, as what could hurt about fooling around with Soya Tatsuhara for a few months? He was considered an entertaining and desirable guy on the female school forums, and she only needed to show it to his most annoying groupie’s face, and she would walk away with another advantage. Soya would practically be throwing his money at her.
"Sure." She agrees, then adding, "However long this goes on for, you’re doing all of my Arts work."
Soya rolls his eyes at her but eventually nods slowly.
"Alright, text me tonight and scram. I've got stuff to do." Yui tells him, standing up from the chair and collecting all her books.
Just before she can go, Soya turns at her while still perched on the table.
"How about a kiss to seal the deal?" He offered, a smirk growing wider on his face.
She glares at him. "No way in hell, Tatsuhara."
*_*_*_*_*
It has been exactly a week and Soya is already driving her mad.
Yui would not have minded it if he took her hand in his, kissed her cheeks or forehead, or even on the lips if needed. However, this boy did not know what subtle meant, not even if it hit him straight on the head.
She is sitting in the Great Hall, talking Wakana's ear off about how amazing Soya was being as a boyfriend for her, as per their agreement. The redhead could tell that the other girl was growing increasingly annoyed at her, with an eye blinking rapidly as a tight smile played on the lips. It is like seeing a hungry jaguar staring straight above her, as it raises a clawed paw to deliver the blow.
If it comes to blows, Yui only hopes that Wakana limits herself to the hair. This is a new uniform set and her mother would be angry if it ripped so soon.
"He is so good to me, Wakana. Every morning, he texts me a verse from a song or a poem as a wake-up call. Sometimes it's silly puns and jokes that don't even make sense, but sometimes they're really sweet." Yui giggled, smiling at the light-haired girl in front of her.
Wakana nodded tersely.
"That's... Amazing, Yui." She paused momentarily to clear her throat and to swallow bile. "I'm just a little confused about how you ended up dating. A week ago, both of you hated each other. And now, well..."
"Oh, you know what they say, Wakana. There's a thin line between love and hate." Yui smiles cheerfully at the girl, her words making a mark in her mind, thoughts of Soya making her flush.
The pair chatted for a while, with Yui never hesitating to throw a 'guess what my Soya said to me the other day' comment. A few minutes later, the man himself strolled inside the cafeteria. He looked just the same, except now he had a huge grin plastered on his face.
He immediately seated himself beside his fake girlfriend, giving her a peck on the cheek.
"Good morning, my love. How did you sleep?" He asked her as he drunk from a can of coffee and slid her one filled with black tea.
Everything was staged, of course. They had met on their way to the school for strategy purposes. Yui just smiled at him cheekily, her hand going to his shoulders and massaging him gently, just to keep the chemistry believable.
"I slept just fine, Soya. I was just telling Wakana here about how amazing you are." She smiled widely, pinching his cheeks that were already turning red at the sight of his crush.
"Is that right? And did you tell her about how today is our two-week anniversary?" He asked her.
Yui held back the urge to roll her eyes and instead settled for stepping on his foot harshly.
"Oh no! I must've forgotten. But yes, Wakana, today is our two-week anniversary." She laughed, making sure she was stepping on his foot painfully. "And we are taking the long way home this afternoon. We’re stopping at the shopping street, all Soya's treat. Isn’t that right, darling?"
The redhead smiled at him smugly. That ought to be enough for her to forget this humiliation
"Yeah, of course. I love treating my girl." He says casually.
The boy winced at the thought of the damage to his personal finances, nodding at Yui dutifully before putting his backpack on the table and picking up a couple of notebooks.
Yui kissed him on the cheek again, then finally faced Wakana and smiled happily.
"You're welcome to join us if you want." She offers the other girl.
Wakana laughs nervously, holding up a hand.
"Uh, nope, no. But thank you though, it's a nice offer." She said politely. "I... I have class now. So… So, I'll be going."
Wakana smiled tightly at the other two teens, waving a hand as she got up from her seat. When she was surely out of the cafeteria, Yui harshly shoves Soya on the shoulder.
"Two weeks anniversary." She scoffed, mocking his previous words. "Tatsuhara, you better bring a lot of money with you."
The boy rolled his eyes at her. "This arrangement won't be needed much longer. Did you see the way she reacted? She was definitely jealous."
*_*_*_*_*
The shopping street visits became more recent, and more numerous, lately.
Yui just made it a rule that, whenever Soya does or says something way out of line, he owes her a trip to the shopping street, with an accompanying meal at the fast-food joint on their way back home.
She had to give it to Mishiro, his tips worked. For herself, that is, as Soya seemed as far as ever from his end goal. Which is not far at all, but still.
The boy woke up every single day, ready to greet her sweetly on their way to school. His good-mornings are always accompanied with a kiss on either her cheek or her forehead.
He is extremely affectionate, a thing she has learned about the boy in the month they have been fake dating. It felt suffocating at first, always having him by her side, but when he explained to her physical touch is how he is able to express love and care, she began to make an effort to let him be comfortable. In turn, obviously, Soya provides her with enough gift-giving to keep her sane with him.
Some days, Yui gets so caught up in him that she thinks the relationship feels... Almost real. She tries hard not to let his affectionate praises and compliments get into her head. There was no way a girl would not swoon at his words, and taking it at face value is a path of doom.
If she got used to it, she would definitely become crazy about him, and it would be painfully horrible because he is not in love with her. Not that she wanted him to be.
Her thoughts of him were immediately washed away when a jingle of the doorbell sounded. Soya himself came out of the store, a stack of books in his hands.
Yui notices that he does not look as miserable as he did the first time she took him there. In fact, he looked like he actually enjoyed picking books for her. She told him earlier on to surprise her with titles that he thought she would enjoy, and he obviously followed through with the order.
"Hey, Yui. The shopkeeper said that a new shipment arrived yesterday, so I got you some extras." He said cheerfully as his hands held up the stack to her.
She smiles softly at him. "Tatsuhara, you didn't have to. Seriously, I'm starting to think that I'm using you."
Soya shakes his head, "Oh no. I'm the one that's using you. This is the least I could do."
He handed the stack over to her and sits down on the bench next to her for a minute, letting the foot traffic hurriedly pass them by.
"Why's that?" Yui asks, earnest.
Soya pushes his hair back, bits of snow falling to his face. She ached to push them away, wanting to bury her fingers in his wavy tresses.
"You know, making Wakana jealous and all." He responded with a smile.
She looked at him. "She's getting jealous, huh? I guess our plans working after all."
Soya grins, wrapping a hand around her, looking her back in the eyes.
"Yeah, and I'm really grateful for your help. So just accept the books." He told her, his face leaning on the top of her head.
"I was planning on taking it, Tatsuhara. Let me perform humility, please." She smiled, tapping two fingers on his chest as if telling him to back away from her.
"Alright, alright." The black-haired teen backed away; two hands held up defensively at her. "Now, since we've done your spot, let's go to the burger joint."
Yui knits her brows in confusion. "I thought you weren't allowed to go there anymore, with your fiscal irresponsibility and all."
Due to all the expenses incurred by keeping her satisfied and compliant to the plan, the Tatsuhara parents were livid with how easy Soya burns through his allowance and gig money. So, they forbade him from eating out, hoping that this would keep some semblance of control over his finances.
Little did they know that the bulk of his expenses were at the bookstore.
"Too right, which is a stupid rule, but I won't be drinking there. We’re just going to see my Wakana." Soya said dreamily. “And you’re buying me a milkshake.”
“Ugh, fine, but just this once.” Yui responded.
She could see the glint and excitement in his eyes. She wondered how it would feel if he thought about her like that. Wait, what?  She chastised herself in her mind, reminding herself not to catch feelings for this stupid boy.
The redhead teen watched him as he walked excitedly toward the direction of the burger joint. She frowns at herself as snow rained down and covered her coat with flakes of it. She thought about Soya and his good heart. She thought about how she may have used him, used his lovesick heart to buy she things and do her homework.
Then, she recalls his words about Wakana. How much he adored the girl, never missing a beat when it came to complimenting her.
Yui does not think she could get lower than where she is now, silently hoping that Soya Tatsuhara would do all those things for her, genuinely.

STORM LOVER
This game is famous for their bakapuru or baka couple system. Basicly they’re saying cheesy lines to the heroine, and what I like is the heroine respond to their cheesy lines XD Not juat getting all shy.
I’ve played this game since around 2 or 3 years ago but have never finish this lol. But this game is so fun really. The bakapuru lines get more baka in the 2nd tho. And add with the amazing seiyuu cast double the fun!
So far the one I’ve played are : STORM LOVER - Uzuku Yuuto (complete) - Mikoshiba Kyosuke (Best ending) - Toratani Rika (Best ending) - Mishiro Takumi (ongoing)
STORM LOVER NATSU KOI - Shina (Complete) - Mikoshiba Kyosuke (Lover start) - Sugai Tsukasa (Lover start) -
STORM LOVER 2ND - Iponmatsu Yamato (ongoing) - Mikadomaeri Koutarou (ongoing)
Yeah I play randomly in this game. Because this game is raising status type of games. So you can play at your own pace, and its easier to find a good time to stop.
Anyway I think I’m gonna start posting some bakapuru lines that I found funny.
*The pictures not mine!
