So hey

TLDR version of events in bullet points. If wish to read long version then check read more.

Start of August 2021 Tumblr suspended the url/blog roleplaytipsandadvice which I had run/co run since Jan 2013.

I contacted Tumblr support a number of times throughout August but they did not respond.

I have/had plans so with help of Wayback Machine and my own determination etc I managed to recover/remake a lot of resources and created roleplaytipsandadvice 2.0 also known as rptipsandadvice.

Resources will now get re-posted on the blog/in tags over time in a slow queue so they won’t spam the tags.

If you want long verson of events:

Back at the beginning of August Tumblr suspended(?) roleplaytipsandadvice in some kind of glitch. I know it wasn’t deactivated because when I try and use that url I can’t, and when looking at previous reblogged posts from that blog elsewhere it doesn’t show as deactivated.

I know it is a glitch in the Tumblr Matrix because I know it has happened to multiple people - whether they have a popular blog or a promo blog. I’ve contacted Tumblr support multiple times and they have not responded as of yet. 

The next best thing is to remake the blog using this url. So since the end of August after realising i’m probably not going to hear back from anyone. I have been preparing for roleplaytipsandadvice 2.0. Just with the url now being rptipsandadvice. 

Thankfully A LOT of my content has been archived using the Wayback Machine and i’ve been able to recover masterlists, gif hunt masterlists, old navigation pages, guides, past answered asks etc etc. It also helps that my old fc directory was backed up, I have thousands of gifs I made saved on a web account elsewhere, I have a ridiculous amount of photohunts on my computer backed up as well (at least 1GB).

This means I have at least 150+ things I can repost to this blog straight away. I am however not going to do that in one go. I don’t wish to spam the tags. I am also taking this opportunity to remake a lot of gif hunt masterlists as they had not been updated in an age. That’s the thing which has taken up my time mostly as just one popular fc gif hunt masterlist can take 3 hours to do and i’d been doing this for years.
