My theory why Taekook are weird with jimin;

They don’t understand his popularity and therefore and threatened by it.

They both think they are better looking that jimin and thus should be way more popular than him. Like as we discussed, jungkook thinks jimin is ugly. So all the media obsession with jimin’s visuals, the artists who call him their muse, the girls and gays dying over him, the interviewers who become obsessed with him - probably confuses and unsettles the hell out of him. He knows taehyung is handsome so he’s not confused by taehyung’s popularity.

Jungkook and taehyung think they are more talented than him. And maybe jk is a better singer and taehyung is better at making faces, but overall jimin has the most captivating presence and out performs them but they don’t understand and that’s why they are so confused that the audience looses their shit for jimin.

Jimin isn’t as confident as them. But they don’t understand that so many people love that humility about jimin. They love his personality. But since they are dumb toxic Korean men they don’t get that.

So because they can’t understand why jimin is popular they are super threatened by it. It confuses them because they believe they deserve their popularity and jimin almost rivaling them doesn’t make sense to their smooth ass brains!

Yeah. This is why everyone who hates Jimin hates him, ultimately. Because he was never meant to succeed. He was set up for failure, from day one. He was given impossible ultimatum after impossible ultimatum and did everything, lost the weight, got the abs, squeezed into bts at the last minute, and none of them ever truly accepted him, not realizing bts without jimin would be NOTHING. and I mean that.

It's the 'they only hate you because they're jealous' excuse, but for real this time.

People really hate to see a pretty, hardworking, humble, kind-hearted girl win, huh? Spent years praying on his downfall and the only thing that came out of it was him doing HOT GIRL SHIT (alcoholism and tax evasion) and the 'he cant sing' excuse. Well neither can Th or Jin but you don't see them beating themselves up about it. Ever. Just big-headed and self-aggrandizing. Jin and Nj can't dance either yet you don't see anyone telling them to leave the group over it, because being 'all-rounded' has never been crucial for an idol. yet even though Jimin's dancing trumps everyone in the industry (except like 5 people) by MILES, his singing being mediocre is the thing everyone latches on. interesting.

but most of the media play doesn't focus on his singing, anyway. because the rest of bts would go down with him. no, everyone has always focused on his dancing and stage presence, his humility and altruism, his captivating aura. he's not 'almost' rivaling taekook in popularity, he is ALWAYS higher than them on the monthly brand rankings, and that number is always in the top 3. ALWAYS. he is always the one turning heads, making headlines, having people asking 'who's the cunty one?' when they came to america. so WHY was he boggled by insecurity for years? maybe it's time to realize the call is coming from INSIDE the house and all of bts were always the most jealous and spiteful of him and trying to set him up despite him being nothing but gracious and selfless to them all. I get that it's a popular cope that they all dote on him and love him, but the truth is, as evidenced by literally a decade of content, that Jm has always given out all of himself and gotten less than a pittance in return.

rapline at least kind of get hard work. they still hate him, but they're always the ones commenting on how much he practices. but the rest are so lazy and reliant on what they were born with (face for taejin and half decent vocals for jungkook) that their tiny little pea brains cannot BEGIN to comprehend that Jimin's dedication shines through in everything he does, and everyone sees it and falls in love with him instantly. while the rest of bts is left in the dust, bitter and washed up

Sunako "Dagger" Sato:

Sunako is a Japanese name meaning "sand child" or "dark side". I honestly found this as a good match, since the first translation can highlight her more childish traits, while the latter reminds me of the fact that she still does have struggles buried behind a smile.

Oh, I also like that I can simplify it to just "Ako," which means "beautiful heart/mind/spirit".

Sato is also a common Japanese surname that I just selected because I like how it creates alliteration with Sunako (omg I'm using big words you guys)

Taejin "Mickey" Sato:

Taejin was something I chose simply I liked the sound of it. The meaning, however, is a little muddled in my opinion. It comes somewhat close to, "great big treasure," or something like that.

"Mickey" was the alias assigned to him because of his bubbly personality. And, when he first arrived to the U.S. his English wasn't the best yet, so when a few comrades brought up Disney (they were planning to head down there with their kids and wives), he immediately went, "Mikkii Mausu!" (Japanese pronunciation).

Gambit Weste:

Honestly, Gambit came from the Queen's Gambit. I like the whole mental game of chess that's like I can either wait for them to move and I'll react; or I can force him to move in a way that benefits myself. I think it really embodies Gambit, since it's incredibly hard to tell what the mercenary's thinking behind that stone cold face, and she's known to manipulate her target into behaving in the way she wants.

Weste is just a funny lil' surname to her alias (not her real surname) since America's Grim Reaper likes to stick to the West Coast of America when she's not on a contract (down in Malibu~~)

Mahinalani Jones:

Mahinalani is a mix of two of my friends names :)

Mahinalani also means 'beautiful moon' referring to Hina's beautiful looks

Jones is also the surname of another friend I have, and I thought I sounded nice alongside Mahinalani

Can we talk about Tae's outfit on Daily Denny LOL?

Hey there ‘Tae’s outfit’ anon,

Yep we can talk about it darling, I will also use your ask as an excuse for a Taejin in America masterpost about this particular interview and fashion! 

Our prince V out there rehearsing for the AMAs in Burberry pajamas! Got to love him! While every human being in this world would legit look like an umbrella wearing that outfit, Taehyung looks so damn cute, so lovely, so cuddly and ready to go to bed to have a nap with Jin.

I also have the impression Taejin were the ultimate sleepy duo at that AMAs rehearsal + Danny interview, Taehyung was indeed wearing a very expensive pajamas, but Jin also prefers the oversized comfy hoodies when he is sleepy. Poor Taejin, they need a nap.

As a bonus we have sleepy Taejin mirroring their reactions, entire body language and facial expressions at the Daily Denny interview. It is quite entertaining to just observe them actually!

Notice that Jin and Taehyung are the only ones fully mirroring, and this is quite common in most interviews they are in. Mirroring happens when the brain responds to the psychological symbiosis like the two people are in sync, this is the first indication of mutual attraction and co-dependency and it is easily noticed in couples who even start to physically look-alike. 

It is easy to spot these body language responses when the boys are giving their full attention to someone else, like for instance an interviewer, cause they cannot mask their basic unconscious reactions like when BTS are just amongst themselves. This is why people are freaking out on my asks about the absurd amount of obvious Taejin confirmations caught on camera in America, it’s getting very easy to the trained eyes to spot their dynamics. 

Jin and Taehyung cannot help but mirroring each other, this is how the body responds when people are emotionally intimate and deeply attached to one another, like Taejin have been for a few years now.

Bonus:

Oh going back to the science of fashion, Taehyung is living a Burberry fever. We saw him rocking the Burberry scarf on his way to LA.

And guess what, we also saw Taejin in Burberry on that adorable cooking Vlive Run where Taejin were wearing a Burberry couple outfit. Jin with a cashmere cotton sweater and V with a signature Burberry wool overcoat. The lovely taejinaddict has just reminded me that Jinnie has actually confirmed it was Taehyung who gave him this sweater on his 2016 birthday, so yes, we can say it was his intention for Jin to wear Burberry as a matching outfit with him on the Vlive.

So the question is, since Taehyung is a Gucci boy but our minimalist-geeky Jin is not (apart from their stage clothes, Jin only wears that Gucci ring he got from Taehyung in Vegas and Tae’s white Gucci snickers), are they finally finding a common style in the more traditional brand Burberry? 

What we do know for sure is that Taejin love the couple outfit mania, it’s their thing (the hoodie, V picking Jin’s clothes in Hawaii, their secret date at the BigBang concert in couple outfits) and I feel it’s mainly cause of Taehyung’s fashion passion and his obsession for Taejin to become this ultimate fashionable couple. And we know Jin always indulges his beloved VV’s needs (to the point of wearing the couples red hat V bought him throughout his entire Hawaii trip) so I believe we will be seeing lots more ‘boyfriends in Burberry’ Taejin in the future.

One last thing about V’s outfit. This Burberry pajamas look is so iconic that V was previously featured on Teen Vogue just cause of it! Yep it was worth of an Teen Vogue article, this look. I mean, what a true style icon Jin’s boyfriend mirroring pair and bedmate is.

And the more I see Taehyung’s fashion, the more I realise this little fashion prince can rock virtually anything he wants, he could wear a trash bag and get away with it looking like the most stylish person in the planet. It’s an art really, his awesome style.

and i only started gifing bts in march (and transformed this blog into bts one). made precisely one jikook gifset, because i couldn't find one to reblog lol. i didn't like how it turned out so i didn't return to it until may, actually (everyone else's gifs looked so pretty so i was like ehh, no one needs me here).

april was mainly about jtbc's beyond evil.

What sets Taejin apart - Tae POV

I was kind of expecting this ask when I posted about how I see Taejin from Jin’s perspective. So, here’s the Taehyung version or how I see Taehyung treating Jin a bit more special than the other members. 

1. He’s not subtle at all, he’s been announcing his love for Jin very directly. In many ways. 

Some of his most impressionable confessions (for me at least): 

In 2018 he used the purple heart to identify himself when posting on Twitter, before the other members started using it as well. He also used the purple heart when posting selcas/videos of him and Jin. What’s more romantic than a shadow photo of your other half making a hand heart in the sunlight filtered through their bedroom window? This whole point is self-explanatory. 

There’s nothing more direct than this? Complete with a shy smile and his signature fond look. When Taehyung gets serious, he goes silent and thinks about it and how to string his words together before speaking. That’s what he did here. He has nothing but praises, love and adoration for his Jin-hyung. 

“Baby angel! Kim Seokjin!” right in the middle of their Fake Love win. Not much of a confession but it’s extremely loud and possessive behaviour.  

“Since it’s Korean food, would you like to eat with me afterwards? It’s a date”, right smack in the middle of filming and Jin says yes without batting an eyelid. Jin even defended him saying all he did was ask a question during the game.

When he bought Jin a $10K+ Tom Ford coat and announced it to the whole world that it’s custom made especially for the one and only Kim Seokjin. Not to mention he emphasised it at least three times in that Run episode, and still talked about it one year later that he was so disappointed it wasn’t the one and only of it’s kind. 

I consider this to be one of his most blatant confession in the middle of an interview in America. 1) He didn’t hesitate to say Jin, 2) he stutters while quickly trying to say Jin is romantic in english and 3) he offers no explanation whatsoever why, and in what way is Jin romantic. He just outright says Jin is a romantic boy to him. Commonly overlooked because its basically cute and funny, and nobody even questions him except Jin himself. Also that possessive hand on his shoulder. 

I could go on and on here. There’s the birthday events, fancafes, vlives, Twitter posts etc. He’s wears his heart on his sleeves and has always been so upfront and direct in announcing his feelings. 

2. His attraction to Jin over the years, a general mini timeline:

16 Jun 2013 - Smitten with his hyung

22 Nov 2013 - Very much smitten and nervous at physical contact

2015 - Taehyung short-circuits when Jin wearing a tight black shirt touches his thigh. Back then, Jin used to be the most physical one between Taejin and Taehyung would constantly be shy around his hyung. Sometime at the end of 2015, the tables turned and Jin started being the ‘shy’ one while Taehyung got more physical with him. 

04 Dec 2015 - Can’t stand how cute his hyung is and nearly kissed him on vlive. But since he was denied the kiss, he clung onto Jin for the rest of the vlive. 

13 Jun 2016 - After Bon Voyage they’re full of unresolved tension. 

02 Dec 2016 - Hands all over him, refusing to let go. No longer a just a crush and no reason to be nervous anymore, but extremely flirty. Their attraction is very mutual at this point. 

25 Jan 2017 - Couple-ish touches, grabbing him by the collar and nearly kissing him in public, probably driven out of habit.

12 Jun 2017 - Sexual tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. For the entire segment, which was one whole hour. 

20 Nov 2017 - At the stage where they feel comfortable enough to ask for kisses when with the group. I call 2017 their honeymoon year. 

20 Oct 2018 - Backhug in the city of love, Paris.

13 Nov 2018 - Dashing across the stage to give his Jin-hyung the biggest hug. 

14 Dec 2018 - Very couple-y during MAMA, where they were checking each other out just moments before. 

12 Jan 2019 - Hugging Jin-hyung tenderly and tightly on stage. And Jin, pretending to be stunned but his hands are gripping Taehyung’s hand on his stomach. 

12 May 2019 - Snuggling up to his Jin-hyung’s back in front of TXT.

Jan 2020 - They’ve always been loud overseas but I just wanted to put this moment here because they’re so clingy and need each other for comfort. 

A tiny compilation put together to show that:

- They’re not as touchy as Hopekook, Jikook, or Vmin. The amount of physical touch doesn’t equate to how close and intimate they are as a couple. However most of the time it’s either extremely tender and soft or tense and flirty. 

- His attraction transitioned from crush to couple-y, mutual, then domestic. 

- Attraction grows more and more intense as the years go by. Then it slowly becomes domestic. 

- He doesn’t behave this way towards any of the other members. His level of skinship with them is constant throughout the years, he doesn’t get shy or hold back. 

Just the tip of the iceberg, this barely covers all the different types of touches that exists between the both of them, it’s mostly moments off the top of my head just for the purpose of showing the gradual change in their physical touch dynamics. 

3. He’s extremely close to Jimin and Jin, and he has already made it very clear that Jimin is his soulmate and best friend.

4. Jealousy through the years. 

In 2013 when they had just debuted and the seeds of his jealousy had already been planted (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Llss3aSvezw). At first he’s all giggly and playful with JK beside him while he can’t stop focusing on Jin, until he sees Namjoon hugging Jin and his smile drops.

I’ve been trying to search a video of Taejin doing their ending ment during HYYH Japan concerts where Taehyung said “Don’t cheat on me” and made eye contact with Jin right after. Jin ‘replied’ with “You’re mine, come here” and does a flying kiss after which Taehying drops his mic. It’s been a week and I can’t find it in my archives so I have officially given up but I shall put this here. If anyone know what I’m referring to, please send the link my way so I can archive it properly!

10. Jin is in the forefront of his mind relating to happiness. And I would say the same for Jin as well. He may have changed it to Yeontan afterwards, but it’s undeniable that the first thing on his mind, as if it’s by instinct, is Jin. 

11. This is his last selca of him and Jin alone. Back in 2017. He posted a couple of videos of the both of them together in 2018, including the one with Jin making kissy faces and Jin’s birthday. Also the photo of Jin’s heart hands. In 2019, their photos together were rare and mainly came from Jin and other members. Most notably, he posted a photo of all the other members from their BV4 trip except for Jin. In 2020 their Grammy video came from J-hope. The photo of them with make up wipes was by Jin. 

The most recent weverse photos of them together posted by him were with J-Hope and JK, and I honestly find that miraculous enough. This is very intriguing considering how he used to post a photo of them on Twitter nearly once per month pre 2016. I guess now he prefers not to share the little privacy he has left with Jin and their precious moments together off the public eye. 

12. Throwing this out here as my last point. Contrary to what most people think, Taehyung does not actually initiate skinship as much as he returns it with the other members from 2016 period till now when off stage (mainly concerts). He actively seeks physical touch with mostly Jin. 

I didn’t expect this list to grow this long but it shouldn’t be surprising considering how expressive he is. And I nearly gave up on this post because the more I wrote, I realised there’s even more to write. Next post might be about their debut era. Maybe.

the small town forest scents are warm and verdant, smells like free spirits and mixes strangely with shampoo and strong perfume. arms around his waist on a moped, wind wiping his hair until they round a corner and the clap of a take ending. staff calling them back to restart it all over again.

the set of view is not a set at all and that’s the best part.

it’s wide open, like unfurling main sail from the mast and taking to the sea, like feeling himself smile for the first time, really smile. her name is jessica and she’s pretty. her skin is warm, he likes when she presses against him when the directors aren’t looking.

view plays in repeat in the background on the set, a loud speaker that just goes over and over. doyoung enjoys the way view scatters to the wind among crunching leaves as they walk through the forest, and sounds gently hugging the trees near the abandon building site they borrow. she’s very bold, bolder than most of the girls he knows and even the ones he had dated in the past. but he doesn’t mind. she’s paired up with taejin for the individual shoots and he doesn’t mind that either.

breathing in the dust in this building is the worst part of the entire shooting experience. did it have to be authentically abandoned though? the lighting here is another world, and sometimes doyoung can forget that he’s an idol when the set begins again, commotion and songs on pause, breathing heavily between dance retakes. he kicks over an empty pepsi can.

he wonders what chaeyoon is doing now. if she’ll watch this when it comes out what she might see or what he might look like. wandering over to the stylists on set he asks one to fix his make up and check his hair. it’s uncomfortable to look into the stylist’s eyes so he avoids it, looks around the room while she fixes his bangs and this time, he doesn’t shiver when her fingers brush his forehead.

doyoung wonders if taejin is really past those frivolous days where they would bud together like roses with thorns and take nothing too seriously. or maybe, it’s him being a good hyung again. he’s always done that but it’s more lately.

jessica comes back to the hotel with him after their second night of filming. drinking all night isn’t advised when they have the final day of filming to do the next day. neither is the instant ramen they eat when it’s a pool scene. but he wants to have fun more than he’s ever craved that emptiness before. 

so what if chaeyoon has a boyfriend?

starting a relationship with a girl who speaks sparse korean that he just met, who says she has to go back home to america in a few months, is hardly a good take away. but the view is nice from where he stands.

when she shows him the bikini she’ll wear on the set tomorrow a day early. and lets him take it off.

he lays in bed and thinks of whether view will do well on the charts. it’s one of his favorite songs to record and film. and something about the music video set being fun, exciting, summery, he knows it will. maybe it’s insecurity.

maybe it’s something else that keeps him awake that night. makes the noona work harder to cover his dark circles the next day.

maybe it’s the way he’s still burning. texts chaeyoon at 2 in the morning that he hopes whoever she met is a nice man. that he’s filming but he’s doing good for himself. hoping she’ll like his new title when it comes out, if she’s still watching him that is.

No one in America explains the importance of good network policy than Susan Crawford (previously), a one-woman good sense factory when it comes to Network Neutrality, municipal fiber, and reining in the excesses of the goddamned ISP industry. Her latest book is Fiber: The Coming Tech Revolution―and Why America Might Miss It, a timely and urgent look at how America is sacrificing its digital future, productivity, connectivity, social mobility, entrepreneurial growth, education, and every other public good, thanks to rapacious telcos, scumbag lobbyists, and negligent, cash-hungry politicians. Crawford and her publisher, Yale University Press, were kind enough to give us an excerpt (below) so you can get a sense of why you should be reading this.

Fiber optic, as a category, is both old and new. The cables running under the oceans and among the major cities of the world began to be upgraded to fiber thirty years ago. And once a fiber optic cable is in the ground, it lasts for forty or fifty years; it is essentially future proof, because its information-carrying capacity can be almost infinitely upgraded without digging up the cable, merely by swapping out the electronics that encode and power the pulses of light that travel within its walls. Most people in non-fiber countries (including the United States) can’t even buy what in fibered countries counts as a standard, modern internet connection. About 11 million American households, out of 126 million total, are connected to last-mile fiber, and that service is usually available only at very high prices from a single unregulated provider. Meanwhile, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore have virtually 100 percent fiber adoption at low prices, and often scores of competitors.

This is a big problem.

Here’s why: Those hair-thin fiber strands, capable of carrying billions of phone calls simultaneously, plus advanced wireless communications that depend on that fiber extending into the last mile, will make possible virtually unlimited, cheap communications capacity wherever you are—which in turn will give rise to new businesses, new transport capabilities, new ways of managing our use of energy, new forms of education and health care, new ways of earning a living, and new forms of human connectedness. For these things to happen, both fiber and advanced wireless technologies need to be widely and competitively available. Without these basic pieces of open infrastructure in place, your country will be missing out on the future being lived and built elsewhere.

Much of the world gets this. China is installing twenty thousand last-mile fiber optic connections every single day. In June 2017, the South China Morning Post reported “China set to build the planet’s largest 5G mobile network for US $180b.” Listen to that: the “planet’s largest.”

Fiber plus advanced wireless capability is as central to the next phase of human existence as electricity was a hundred years ago. Just as countries that quickly ensured cheap access to electricity revolutionized their economies and provided dramatically improved quality of life for their citizens, countries that figure out how to get fiber to everyone will have ever-increasing advantages over those that do it slowly.

Take the 2018 Olympics in South Korea: Korea Telecom was smart to focus on sports—and the Olympics in particular—in demonstrating its prowess. Sports grab humans in real-time emotional ways, and the Olympics mark the global pinnacle of inspiring athletic achievement. KT got the world’s attention in 2018.

But KT’s display of its 5G fireworks is far more significant than any Olympic event could possibly be. Korea is going through a phase change in digital communications that has implications for almost every occupation and source of economic power of which we’re aware today.

In the crowded city of Seoul, for example, I met many twentysomethings who did not distinguish between online life and “real” life; for them, these are simply layers of life as a whole. This generation is so accustomed to cheap, unlimited connectivity everywhere that they have forgotten its existence—just as people in other countries forget the existence of electricity until it is suddenly not there. South Koreans are impatient. For them, going to almost any city in the United States is a little like going off the grid.

In Seoul, I met Yeon Sung Choi, a professional e-sports player who is as famous in his sport as Lionel Messi, the best goal-scorer in the world, is in soccer. Yeon Sung, who now works as a coach for the SK Telecom T1 Starcraft II team (telecommunications companies are major investors in the e-sports industry in Korea), told me he’d lived through the transformation of Korea that took place following the installation of high-capacity networks that permitted any number of people to play games simultaneously. At age twenty, he realized he could beat just about anyone. The essential factor in connectivity, he says, is latency, or response time; any delay makes it very difficult to play. Some players say latency starts to become obvious when there is a gap of 150 milliseconds or even less between pressing a button and a visual response. Fiber connections generally have lower latency than cable or copper wires. “In Korea the response time is really short,” he said, laughing. He sees a bright future for the gaming industry in Korea, but there is much more than gaming. The same technology will revolutionize business, medicine, education, manufacturing, energy use, and real-time translation functions between spoken languages.

Fiber is also revolutionizing cities themselves. Because the city of Seoul years ago installed fiber optic last-mile connections throughout the city and its subway system, it can provide free Wi-Fi, which means the private sector can experiment with Internet of Things (IoT) services that will improve its citizens’ lives. On the same trip that had me clambering around the empty ice arena in Pyeongchang, I visited the city’s IoT testbed office. Taejin Kim, director of the testbed, told me that the city is testing its ability to provide personalized services to elders, to provide data from road surfaces and public transit so that navigation systems function well, and in general to “solve urban problems, wherever they are.” The conference room next to the mayor’s office houses an enormous dashboard that, fed by public data, allows the mayor to see the site of an accident or fire, talk in real time to public officials at the site, visually understand traffic congestion, and manage the city’s budget. Because fiber is everywhere, this enormous amount of data can be shipped whenever and wherever it is needed.

The next wave of applications making use of fiber and advanced wireless services is likely to be in health care, education, or other fundamental areas than has been seen so far in Korea and Japan. I am confident that innovative American businesses will come up with services that use much more significant amounts of bandwidth when there is a critical mass of users with capacity. If and when the United States becomes a last-mile fiber sandbox for this inventiveness, the huge market here will drive those developments. We will also support our commitment to genuine liberal democracy: the rising tide of cheap, ubiquitous, unlimited connectivity needs to reach everyone in order for the country as a whole to thrive.

[NEWS] Decipher’s Taejin announced as the new face of Domino’s Pizza

Korean representatives for the America-based pizza chain Domino’s have announced that actor and Decipher leader, Kim Taejin, has been chosen as their new brand model for the summer and winter season. This statement was revealed during a press release earlier this week.

Commemorating this new partnership, Domino’s has released a commercial staring Kim Taejin and one of the children on The Return of Superman. The commercial, which shows the cute interactions between the two while highlighting Domino’s newest pizza combination, will air on TV screens starting early August.

Decipher is currently promoting their latest EP Canvas. The leader is currently endorsing Chamisul alongside soloist Byul while continuing his year-long ambassadorship with UNICEF.
