I got my orange belt today.
I felt I didn’t do good on the test, though I did feel like I got the movement down better with my arms. My kicking was a B and I hit the breaking board so hard it flew out the person holding it’s hands and almost hit someone.
Otange belt now

I GRADUATED TAEKWONDO IM A YELLOW BELT.
I’m actually so excited, I had a dream about it last night that I started doing baseball again and for some reason I couldn’t hear what my coach was saying and I had my belt test in 30 minutes and was thinking of using it as an excuse to leave early but I knew I didn’t need that much time and eventually decided to stay with baseball and leave when I actually needed to go. I was thinking about it a lot today and felt worried that again it’s a bunch of unseen progress in my life but when I got there that feeling changed. I was chilling in the lobby and turns out the grandmaster is my neighbor, I don’t know him personally at all I’ve just seen him around the block down, I was talking with my friend and he helped me learn to count in Korean (even though I don’t remeberd much now lol) and we chilled in the lobby and waited for our test to start since the little kids needed extra time and I was joking around with my friend and I was worried the masters and grandmasters were going to be upset with me because they had this big table and seemed really professional and serious. It was eventually our turn to go in and we did stretching and they had me take all my bracelets off so I gave them to my parents and then finished. The higher belts went first and I began to feel confident and a bit nervous since the other white belt in my class wasn’t here but it was what it was, so it was my turn and I did my first form well, they had come corrections but it was fine, the second one I did it twice the second with more power but when I jumped and landed I SQUEAKED?? LIKE WHAT?? BOTH TIMES I didn’t do it in purpose I don’t know why it was really embarrassing and then I was done after doing my kick which I did twice second the higher time. I did sparring next and was decent with it even though I messed up once and then after I did my breaking board which I was be touched at first because I though I had to hit the thin side of the bars and thought it was going to hurt especially because my teacher had me use a thicker peice of wood because I’m so strong not to brag 😎 but it was the normal side so it was fine, I actually had to do it twice because parents were allowed to hold it and my mom was holding my board and I hit it so hard it hurt her hand and she stepped back so it didn’t break but I broke it with my dad holding it.
I got a bunch of A’s for all the grading and got a trophy and certificate and I’m so happy about it, I’ve gotten a bunch of medals and trophy’s before but never on my own and this feels like something I actually kind of worked for and I’m so proud of it, I’m going to show it to my kids when I’m older the test was great.
Also my teacher told me I’m a nice person so I’m literally awesome
