Is it me or do the producers of Tad the lost explorer like egyptian mummies? 😳

In my opinion, both are pretty. But it feels like they followed a very similar model to design them. What do you think?

PS: in Spain both characters share the same voice actress.

Here's what the Halloween update look like on the switch version Sara is in the witch outfit only in this cutscene not on the playable character Victoria has the face painting some of the hidden boxes are pumpkin shape you get a few bats flying around and Tad just has a skin tone change to green.

I'm not sure if this is going to be the same on the PC version cuz the switch is the only version I have.

Ryan tries to give tad food like a hot dog for example. but he somehow refuses to take it and says he isn’t hungry. He might not be hungry, but his stomach is starving.

Ryan: cmon stones. Stop being so irritating.. and just eat it !! Eat the hotdog!!

Tad: No! I’m not hungry!

Ryan: ok then!

Ryan: my god it sounds like you haven’t eaten in days !! But if you don’t want it… *starts rubbing Tad’s tummy while holding the hot dog in front of his face* smells good, huh?

tad: I guess it does, but I’m not gonna eat it.

Ryan puts his ear to Tad’s stomach as it growls*it’s so loud…you’re starving, Tad. Why are you in denial? Your tummy is begging for it. You’ll feel better after eating.. but I guess if you still don’t want it at least I get to listen to your desperate stomach whine for food.

Tad: yeah, You go ahead and do that. I’m not gonna eat the hot dog.

Ryan :*rubs slow circles around Tad’s poor starving tummy* ryan: you are so annoying sometimes. But I love doing this to you

Ryan:* puts the hot dog super close to his face to trick his stomach into thinking he’s gonna feed it *

Tad: pushes the hotdog away Don’t even- *his tummy lets out a deep, long and ravenous growl, loud enough for the whole archeological community can hear*

Ryan: mhh hm~ yea you’re definitely not hungry haha. *pushes his hand deep into his stomach causing tad to groan* your tummy is so soft…

tad: T-Thanks, I guess…

Ryan: I wanna get a better view of your tummy. *takes off his hat and lifts up his jacket revealing his chubby belly aw.. poor tummy…you should feed yourself. *rubs Tad’s tummy*

Tad: *blushing* W-What are you doing?!

Ryan: it’s ok Stones…shh…*gently rubs his shirt at the stomach area *shhh…*tad feels a painful hunger pang and winces* heh~ you’re really freakin cute.

Tad: S-Shut up! *his tummy growls loudly and painfully*Ughhh…Stop!

Ryan: *begins roughly rubbing Tad’s sides* hahhhh~ *pushes the hot dog on his nonexistent “lips” * come on~ your gut is begging for it..! You need food.

Tad: *he manages to push the hot dog away from him, but his tummy moans and rumbles for it. He keeps doing it but his gut growls nonstop* Ohhh~ Ryan felt the visible vibrations on his stomach against his hand*

Ryan: Jeez Tad…your stomach is really desperate. I can feel it on my hand that’s how loud and strong the growls are. *roughly rubs Tad’s tummy again* I know this hurts,Tad. Please eat something. I have this hot dog here for you. You NEED it.

Tad: Ngh.. f-fine, I’ll have it..

Ryan: good…eat it..your tummy will feel so much better. But I think you might need more than one weenie because you’ll still be hungry.

Tad: I think it’s fine.. *he takes the hotdog from your hand and eats it*

Ryan: you feel better now?

Tad: Yeah.

Okay, so I know I haven't been active in the Tad Fandom for quite a long time (and I had a AMV video still waiting, but it will come soon) mainly because studies and then my brain switched to "Puss in Boots 2" mode. But that doesn't mean I left.

In fact, here's is a long video of an interview about the process of the third movie and what could have been. Guys, I'm shaking. There were so many cool concepts but also good reasons as to why they never saw the light.

I can tease some things, like:

At first it was decided that instead of Mexico, the place that was going to appear in the movie was Peru (again)

In Mexico, a plot point was going to be the discovery of Hernan Cortez's tomb (that was custodied by an angry aztec mummy)

More lore of Sara's family.

The original villains/villain group and their motivations.

Who was "Karen" and her secret relationship with Martin (that blond, chubby man who was a spy in the Mexico's expedition)

Ramona's development and "her" possible arc/story with Mummy.

That's all I can tease. But something I can point out is that it was mentioned (and thus, canon in the third film) Mummy had the need of having adventures with his bro, but Tad kept pushing him, or as they said "hurting him" and then said that Ramona also "hurted him" and then Tad again and all that hurt from both of them is what made the curse become worse.

What I can gather from this is that Mummy was not only annoyed by Ramona's statement that he was not a real mummy just because he is Incan, he was HURT, emotionally speaking.

Also that confirms that in their first formal interaction when she called him a "rancid package of bones" he was really hurt, but managed to make a joke (or an observation) out of that insult.

It's amazing how the Tad crew acknowledged how Mummy was getting hurt by his best friend and a mummy he called sister (he has a kinship with fellow monsters) and how that manifested in Ammit. But that's all.

He forgave Tad very easily. And Ramona still has a problem to see him as an equal at the end of the third film, but Mummy still plays that off as something inevitable and as "oh well Ancient Egyptians and their superiority, what I'm supposed to do?" which doesn't mean the hurt he is feeling is gone.

Just bottle up... again.

And that, my dear readers and fans of this franchise, is why we need a film that acknowledges Mummy's problem by keeping things to himself.

Could be his problems with Tad, Ramona, Paititi or maybe his past. Or all of the above if he was hurting 500 years ago, maybe even before he died.

Time will tell for sure.

I've been writing this fanfic on Wattpad for a long time. Based on the three Tadeo Jones movies of Enrique Gato, dedicated to my little nephews who love this saga, I created a concept for what the fourth part would be. And leaving aside that the plot of the new installment was already confirmed, here I made a story completely different from what the director had in mind.

The plot revolves around Tad and his friends, who find Joaquin Pommes' map, which leads to the treasure of Montcezona, the last Aztec king. However, an evil woman named Julia Cortés, descendant of the spanish conquistador Cortés, along with Elías Pizarro, incarnation of the spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, will try to stop the team from finding the treasure.

The story will revolve around Mexico and various cities there. Of course, there will be a new addition to the team. I can only say that. And of course, there will be returns and many adventures. I encourage you to read it. I think if you like Tad the lost explorer, you will love this fanfic.

I found it on a fanfiction site archiveofourown.org but then something happened to the site last year in almost half of the fic stories on that site where erased but fortunately I managed to save this story on my files and it would be a shame for it to just disappear into nothingness cuz this was a really good story concept, and Tad needs more fanfics
