Mileven Week 2022

Day 3: AU

A role swap AU in which the amazing @dxncingwithastrxnger and I explore a universe where Mike ("Lev") is the one to be raised in the lab and Eleven ("Jay") is the ordinary kid who takes him in. 🤗✨ Alex wrote a fic consisting of 4 "snapshots" (1 per season) and I created the illustrations above to correlate with each part.

Btw this is the first fandom collab I've ever done and MAN was it fun!! Was an absolute pleasure working with Alex and if you guys haven't already, you should DEFINITELY go give him a follow and check out his kickass fics!!! 🔥

“alex- where are we going?”

“it’s a secret! i can’t tell you.” “so instead you’re going to kidnap me by driving me to who knows where?” “no! i promise you’ll love it.” 

you watched the rolling green hills pass by your window for another 10 minutes before quackity dropped something in your lap. it was a soft black blindfold, wrinkled from being in his pocket. with a raised eyebrow, you searched his expression for any weird tells. 

“put this on- i promise i’m not taking you to the woods to kill you.” “if this sucks, you owe me.” “there’s no way you’ll hate it- you’re going to love it.”

slipping the elastic over your ears, you adjusted your eyes to the pitch black fabric. feeling the car turn to park, you gripped the door gently to prevent you from swaying.

“okay- i’m going to set something up, DON’T take off the blindfold. got that mi amor?”

you hum and nod in response, relaxing a bit in your spot. for a couple minutes, all you could hear was the back of the car opening and rustling of items. soon enough, you heard the click of your side door open, wind slowly blowing through.

“ready? i’m going to guide you to the area- take my hands and we can take this one step at a time.”

cautiously, you pad your way over to the area, quackity slowly leading the way.

pausing, he releases your hands, shifting himself to stand by your side. giggling he reaches his hands up near your ears.

“ok- three... two.... one!”

light flooded your eyes, causing your eyelids to flutter to adjust. in front of you was a cozy picnic, complete with flowers and a basket full of food. turning to your boyfriend, he searched your features for any signs of dislike.

“alex..” “uhm i just wanted us to have a cute date! i saw the other day you were looking at picnics on instagram and thought you’d like it!”

at that you just wanted to melt into a puddle and never recover. you felt a large smile start to grow onto your face, flinging your arms around his figure to thank him.

“you’re so cute- i love it and i love you.”

quackity felt all the tension leave his body as he hugged you back, placing a soft kiss to your head.

“anything for you and to see that smile of yours.”

Umm.... I think it was the beginning of the school year???? This year’s school year??? Like the week before school started.

Kinda a bit of everything. There is literally not one specific thing. But mostly I guess fandom stuff like Carry On, PJO/HoO/MCGA/Whatever Rick writes, Voltron, SPN, Harry Potter, TMI/TID/TDA, and relatable posts

Yeah.... sorta.....

I have @beyondthepagesbook which is where I have a few chapters of a novel I’m working on up, @harrypotterstorybook which is supposed to be a Harry Potter fan art and fanfic collab that I’m getting together that still needs more fan artists and writers!!!!! There’s also the blogs that I help co-run like @somerandomocsand-weirdcreators that I believe is me and @desthedemon and it’s basically where ppl ask us questions about our OCs and @alexfierrnofam which is run by me, Des, and @alexfierrno and is just our Tumblr fam being amazing and stuff (and it’s also free to join as long as you read the rules!!!!)

Sorta.... I mean, it’s not as much as some blogs but I think I get an average of 3-6 asks a day and roughly 7 if it’s a good day. But guys, MY ASK BOX IS ALWAYS OPEN IF YOU JUST WANT TO CHAT ABOUT SOMETHING RANDOM OR ASK ME A QUESTION ABOUT ANYTHING

Why did you choose your URL?

Hehehehe.... So when I first created this blog I was pretty much the same as I am now and obsessed with Carry On (although this blog seems to be more about PJO idk why or how it just is XD) but I kinda wanted to have something that showed that I would be multifandom. So I thought about book references I could use and I thought about The Insidious Humdrum from Carry On and basically I figured that “theinsidiousbookworm” was kinda showing that I luv Carry On way to much but at the same time showing that I luv to read and stuff. Then I switched it for christmas and the username got taken, but I still loved “theinsidious____” so I brainstormed usernames that I could use with that beginning. Then, I pretty much came up with “theinsidiouscinnamonroll” bc I knew that most of my fav characters are Cinnamon Rolls TM and I probably would be considered a cinnamon roll so ye here we are :p
