i cry every single time the kids from the apollo cabin call lester "dad". i just find it so sweet and wholesome, in the middle of a freaking battle and seeing apollo as a teenager JUST LIKE THEM and still they call him dad I CAN'T

Yesterday I finished the second book in The Trials of Apollo saga, and I remembered why Leo Valdez is my favorite character in the Percy Jackson universe and with that I noticed something kind of funny.

if I had a nickel for everytime my favorite character in a book series was a teenage boy with a questionable sense of humor, pointy ears, a dragon best friend . . .

and a girlfriend who is much older and taller than him.

I'd have TWO nickels, Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice, right ( ￣▽￣💧)?

So, I’ve read the first book of trials of Apollo (My first time reading it) I got those books like a week ago, and I already have some of my favourite moments. So here they are:

I had actually started it a few months ago, but I picked it up again today because a new chapter of the fanfiction Trollhunter!Strickler (by @toodrasticallydumb ) came out and I couldn't wait to read it!

Barbara and him are so sweet there! Chapter twenty-eight tugged at my heartstrings, but chapter twenty-nine was adorable too!

if i had a coin for every time someone close to nico di angelo died just for the reason of giving another character some development i would have 2 coins which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.

After Wizards, knowing who Deya was makes me think about the implications of everyone who came after her. If, in the series, she was the first Trollhunter, then that means she was the one to set a precedent. Everyone after her was following her lead, which is kinda worrying because no one really liked Callista.

You might think that because she’s Deya the Deliverer and how she went down in history that she was well liked, but…

Jim literally killed Bular and almost all of Trollmarket was willing to turn on him at the drop of a hat. If we take that behavior and take it into account, there’s a large chance that she was pretty isolated even when they put her on a pedestal.

Why does this matter? What if her distance made every future Trollhunter believe that they had to work alone?

And what if she was killed by Angie Rot, so she couldn’t even go to the void to tell the other Trollhunters that she didn’t mean for it to be that way?
