Pokemon huh?

I like the way your clothes smell was a great fic by Mysecretfanmoments, truthfully though, they always have made great KGHN fics. But what are the theories and secrets?

On chapter 14: "Chraging Up" of "iltwycs", at the last part, we get the following quote from Shouyo: "Yeah. You’re the grumpy frog and I’m the red bird. They’re dating, too.” Said in reference to pokemon.

Now this quote, as a pokemon fanatic and major theorist, grabbed me by the throat and told me "if you don't do a whole theory trying to figure what Pokemons they're referring to specifically I will personally ensure you die alone, slowly, and in the most torturous way possible"

...

So here I am.

Now, along the chapter we can recover one main hint.

They (Mostly Shouyo though) are playing on a DS.

Which makes sense considering it was still in use relative to the OG Haikyuu!! timeline, the main story being set in 2012-2013. So then we need to figure out first the generation these Pokemon are from, by pinpointing information, we can assume we are in Generation V (five), most likely playing Pokemon Black & White.

I'd like to narrow down Hinata's options first. In my opinion, I was at first fairly sure the pokemon is Blaziken, or some pokemon from Blaziken's line of evolution.

For me, the resemblence to Hinata in his first form, Torchic, is incredibly similar, however, it also makes little sense game wise, since you can't find Blaziken or its line in Black & White.

You could also always opt for Pidgeotto, but I wouldn't call it red exactly.

However, a new contender appears, Spearow, fitting perfectly into the timeline and generation, Spearow has red wings and could easily fit the description!

The Kageyama named Pokemon is described as "the grumpy frog"

Now in Pokemon, you could say we are at a lack of frog Pokemons which outside this investigation would be quite saddening, but here, it makes my work so much easier.

With little to no options, and the generation fact there to narrow it, I could come to the conclusion of the Pokemon being Poliwrath, makes sense right, it's plausible since it appears in black & white.

Theoretically then yes, the Pokemon in reference are most likely Poliwrath and Spearow.

Nishinoya is my absolute favorite little gremlin. He gives so much support to the team, and he deserves the best. Threw Asahi in there because they need each other, and I generally love their duo.

Kei Tsukishima ( Middle ) and Tadashi Yamaguchi ( Pinich server ): I L O V E this duo! Like words can't even describe or help me comprehend how much I love their friendship and how close they are. My heart melts every time Yamaguchi calls Tsukishima Tsukki. It's my favorite 🥺

Tobio Kageyama ( Setter ) and Shoyo Hinata ( Decoy ) :

I l O V E THEM ✨️ S O M U C H ✨️. They literally bring out the best in each other and sometimes the worst. But they have helped each other grow, and I'm S O proud of my little cinnamon rolls.

if i had to rank my favorite games, inarizaki is solid 1st place and after that its hard,,, nekoma obvi has a v special place in my heart but i usually enjoy the more fast paced crazy games more? and nekoma is a lot of kenma playing mind games 😭 and since weve Seen karasuno go against nekoma so much more than against the other teams, they go way less into the gameplay and dynamics,,

i enjoy shiratorizawa A LOOT a lot love that game,, however,, i am unfortunately the biggest kageyama enjoyer and the kind of person whose enjoyment is v reliant on the amount of participation from my blorbo,,, BUT even though its very much a tsukki game, kageyama is rlly rlly good in this one so its probably rlly up there

speaking of my kageyama fever, the seijo karasuno game (2) is up there as well,, maybe even more than shiratori not only bc theres more tobio but ALSO bc i love the seijo third years SO MUCH GODDD. iwaizumi is so amazing and i adore him so much 😭 the whole bit with him and kyotani is gold.

“WHA-?!” Startled, Tobio jumped, whirling around at record speed to stare down whoever thought it was a good idea to suddenly come up behind him like that- not that he actually had to wonder. Only one person on the planet was this stupid, and that head of vibrant orange hair below his eye line just confirmed the suspicion the setter had already had.

“Y-you- I-... DUMBASS! Don’t yell at me like that!” As per usual it took a split second for Hinata’s volume to become his own volume in return, their energies always tending to sync up for better or for worse. This time for worse as Tobio could hear they both immediately were scolded for being too loud and disturbing everyone around them.

was thinking about how Kageyama rarely makes fun of Hinata for his height. His skills? For sure. His hair? Obviously. But not his height, something that a lot of other characters define him by. And it’s the same way that while Hinata often snarks about Kageyama’s “awful personality”, he never calls him a king/dictator to his face after Tsukishima tells him about why Kageyama’s called “the king of the court”. idk it’s just cute
