Everytime I feel surprised about Pai stabbing Deep Blue in the finale of New, I also remember that he killed Tart for turning against them in the original anime. I know, technically Tart swung first in that ordeal, but still.

I guess it’s not entirely surprising that he’d kill god if he wasn’t gonna help his people the way he thought he was.

Easter Eggs in The Maybe Man

I’m fairly certain that during the last livestream, Jack and Ryan confirmed that there would be easter eggs in The Maybe Man, but they’d be different from Neotheater’s. And I think I figured out what they are.

They’re not shoutouts to other songs on the album, but shoutout to other songs from older albums.

Here’s all I’ve noticed so far:

At 0:29 in The Dumb Song (and other parts) a melody that sounds like the chorus of Christmas in June plays

Turning Out 3 has callbacks to both previous entries. The prechorus (0:30 and other spots) has a similar melody to the original Turning Out. At 2:46, the same voice from the bridge of Turning Out 2.

The second half of Steve’s Going to London (2:52) reminds me both of the verses of Three-Thirty as well as the prechorus of Record Player.

I know this technically counts as within the album, but the end of Touchy Feely Fool is the same as the beginning of Yes I’m A Mess

While we’re on the topic of “within the album” uh LOOP THEORY REAL

My thoughts: Tokyo Mew Mew Episode 22 (S2 10)

Hey! it’s been a bit since I’ve made a discussion post about this series, but this episode was just really good I wanted to share a little bit of my thoughts in regards to this episode!

This episode of Tokyo Mew Mew New is definitely on my top favorites. The manga events, the emotions, and the way everything connects just made this a great watch. The actresses did an amazing performance on this episode. I’m so proud of how far they’ve come! The characters have so much emotions and much more connection with each other than in the previous adaption, which makes me enjoy this version very much. While yes, the story was a bit rushed in some parts, I’m glad to see a lot more interactions between the girls and even between Ryou and Keiichirou. I also loved the scenes where the aliens have their own thoughts on the situation, not always agreeing with each other. I also liked how Deep Blue as a character is not only there to fight the girls and that’s it. This adaptation displayed how his plan threatened humanity and the Earth’s living creatures, giving the girls a reason to fight. The battle is just beginning and I cannot wait to see what it will bring in future episodes!

This was short but I don’t feel like making a long essay right now. All I can say is that I love this series and I have been enjoying it a lot so far :)
