Simon Snow just wants to get to Watford without major complications.

He doesn't need a possibly murderous goblin prince as his taxi driver, an innocent runaway at his heels, or all his beliefs turning upside down.

Basilton Pitch just wants to take his crown and try to bring his people under control.

He doesn't need a war against the mages, an unrequited crush on the greatest mage himself, or secrets from his past coming back to haunt him.

But they never get what they want, do they?

Too Many AUS Fest

Hi!

Welcome to the first ever Too Many AUS Fest!

Inspired by the Carry On Big Bang and Carry On Crack Fest, Too Many AUS celebrates the silly, wacky, and serious of alternative universes.

Have you ever wanted an excuse to write a heist AU or Baz going to Ibiza? Well, if so, this is your fest.

All prompts were assembled during a read along of the first two books of the Simon Snow series.

General Information

Sign ups will open June 29th (sign up in later post) and will close August 8th!

Posting will be the week of September 19th

Works can be posted on AO3, tumblr, Facebook (though I have questions for you), anywhere! (More info about posting will be made closer to date)

I will make a AO3 collection and reblog posts through this tumblr. By the end, I'll make a masterlist.

At the end of the sign up will be a discord link. Please join it to get announcements!

If you are an author:

Fics have to be at least 500 words long. Any maturity rating is fine!

If you are an artist:

You do you! Make whatever you want.

Picking Prompts

Since we have too many AUs, we will be holding a draft for prompts. This will be done the week of August 15th. When entering the discord server, there will be a poll to fill out.

I will put all the prompts on a wheel and all the members in a random generator. This way, all will be fair. This will happen over VC so we can have some fun together.

If you cannot make it to the draft, we still might end up on your name, and you will therefore be assigned a prompt that I'll assign to you.

If you want to do more than one prompt, feel free to. Just make sure to do the one you were assigned at the beginning and let me know that you are doing another prompt.

This post will cover how to post your art and fics!

The main two ways to post is AO3 or Tumblr. You have to do one, but you are free to crosspost.

Either way you post, I'll be posting a masterlist on this account of all the work.

If you are are planning to post on AO3:

- you have been added to a collection. It should come up underneath the tab: my collections

- when posting, follow this picture below.

This way, all the fics will be aggregated and I can easily post about it to Tumblr and other people can read all the fics in the collection

If you are planning to post on Tumblr:

- tag this account

You don't have to get a discord. If we end up doing the assignment of prompts opposed to a free for all, I'm going to put everyone's name in a generator along with the generator of prompts. I can message you on tumblr (or a preferred site) and give you your prompt that way, if you prefer.

Also all information will be crossposted between Tumblr and the Discord server, so no info will be missed out upon!

hi, will there be a way to choose/apply for a prompt or is it only being done by a discord draft? also, can more prompts be submitted or is it the ones in the doc?

Some of this question was answered in a previous ask so I'm going to link to it. My idea was have a draft situation, but if people aren't into it, we can change it up. This is my first time organizing a fest.

If you get assigned a prompt that you don't like or really want a certain AU, you can DM me (here or on discord (zipadeedoodah) and we can work something out.

Also the google doc is open to anyone. So if you have ideas, feel free to write them down at the bottom of the bulleted list with a brief description. I just ask that we keep main prompts SFW.
