#TIM attacks a man in front of a witness and was not arrested

“Reporter Jack Hadfield says his intention was to question Labelle on his history, but, seeing that there were children present, delayed his line of questioning until the end of the event.” Ok it’s not often this blog praises men but Jack Hadfield was doing his job as a reporter and he was mindful of the children present. So of course a man in a dress, and maybe even a diaper, attacked him.

A British journalist has reported he was assaulted by Canadian trans activist and artist Sophie Labelle after attempting to confront him on his history of using children as reference models for fetish art.

On Sunday, February 26, transgender artist Sophie Labelle held an event at the Cockatoo Club, a cocktails and cabaret venue catering to Manchester’s gay community. Labelle was set to speak about trans activism as well as his comic book franchise, Assigned Male. 

Labelle’s visit was announced by the club through their Twitter, with the comment section rapidly being closed as dozens of concerned netizens replied to the post and tried to alert the venue to Labelle’s disturbing history with “diaper kink.”

Labelle first came under widespread controversy in February of 2021 after it was discovered that he had quietly been producing and distributing diaper fetish art on secret social media accounts, as well as on furry fetish site “FurAffinity.”

WafflesArt, Labelle’s now-deleted alternate online persona, was dedicated to the “adult baby/diaper lifestyle” and “diaper fur” fetish which published Labelle’s drawings of anthropomorphic baby animal characters modeling in diapers, onesies, and behaving like toddlers.

Labelle was also found to have been following many pornographic models who role-played as babies for sexual arousal. One such account followed by Labelle was of a model who called himself “Little Boy” and posted sexually suggestive photos and videos of himself in diapers and surrounded by children’s toys. The model would mimic masturbation while wearing a diaper, utilizing baby oil and lotion to lubricate himself.

But possibly the most disturbing revelation was the discovery that Labelle had been using photos of real babies as reference models for his fetish art. 

After backlash grew on social media, Labelle admitted to the art but asserted that he “refused to be shamed” for it, and also proclaimed himself a member of the “little” community — a person who role-plays as a child during sexual encounters. Labelle connected his fetish to his transgender identity.

Despite his history, Labelle has been regularly invited to speak amongst children, including at Canadian elementary schools. He’s also been visiting different venues internationally as part of his comic book tour, with the United Kingdom having been his latest destination. 

Attending the February 26 event in Manchester on behalf of independent media outlet Valiant News, reporter Jack Hadfield says his intention was to question Labelle on his history, but, seeing that there were children present, delayed his line of questioning until the end of the event.

Hadfield reported that Labelle made a number of inappropriate jokes during the event, despite the presence of children. 

At one point, the artist laughed about “invading” single-sex spaces. “They usually say like it’s a full-time thing but for most of us it’s a hobby. After a hard day of grooming children… I like to relax by going to the mall and waiting in line for the women’s restroom.”

Labelle also called Member of Parliament Miriam Cates the MP for “penis-town,” after the politician had criticized the Sheffield City Council for organizing a child-friendly event with Labelle at the central library. Cates had expressed concern over Labelle’s child-adjacent fetishes.

Following the talk, Hadfield entered the line to speak with Labelle one-on-one. He obliged Labelle’s request to stand aside and let him finish his book sales first, and waited until he and Labelle were virtually the only ones left in the room. In his report for Valiant News, Hadfield reports that Labelle became increasingly hostile as he attempted to ask his questions, but ultimately admitted to using photos of real children to draw his kink art.

Sensing tension, Hadfield attempted to leave the venue but Labelle pursued him, snatching his arm and demanding to see his photo identification. Hadfield managed to break free and darted down the street, but reports that Labelle was soon “on top” of him, grabbing at him and attempting to take direct photos of his face.

Hadfield explained that Labelle, who is physically larger than he is, tried to steal his notebook and made an effort to wrangle it away from him. Hadfield shouted for help during the altercation, and a female bystander near a bus stop witnessing the incident threatened to call the police for help, recognizing that Labelle was attacking Hadfield.

Facing the possibility of police presence, Labelle released Hadfield’s notebook but continued to film him closely, yelling at Hadfield and accusing him of “harassment.” The female bystander once again came to Hadfield’s defense, at which point Labelle turned his attention towards her and called her “transphobic.”

The female witness provided Hadfield with a statement confirming what had happened, the audio of which was uploaded to Twitter.

“I was just waiting at the bus stop. This man, blatantly a man as well, because all of that strength was just physically attacking you, and trying to take your work off you, grabbing you, pushing you about, dragging you down the street, and I’m not standing for that,” the witness says. “Anyone that uses things like that as an excuse. We’ve all been through shit, we’ve all got mental health issues in this day and age. There’s no excuse to use that to inflict violence on people. I don’t care if I’m called transphobic. I’m not going to stand there, I don’t even know which gender they see themselves as. I saw you being attacked, and I was going to step in.”

Speaking to Reduxx, Hadfield praises the bystander who stepped in to both defend him and offer her testimony to confirm the events as she had seen them, noting that the woman had been entirely unaware of the circumstances surrounding the attack.

“I was extremely thankful to the witness who was brave enough to stand up for me during the incident. She didn’t know any of the background, but just saw one human being attacking another,” Hadfield says. “After I explained the whole story, she was disgusted by Labelle’s behavior.”

Hadfield tells Reduxx he is currently weighing filing a police report, but has some concerns that police will instead make him a target due to his politics.

“I am probably going to seek expert advice before I come down one way or the other, but obviously that combined with the fact that I have seen a lot of support adds to the equation on reporting it.”

Hadfield explained he had not been anticipating a physical altercation to break out when he chose to cover the event, and that he had been surprised at the sudden escalation of events. 

“I was extremely surprised that I was attacked for simply asking tough questions. I now worry for the safety of anyone else, be they journalist or otherwise, who dares challenge someone like Labelle publicly.”

Following the incident, Labelle posted to his Facebook that he had been “harassed” by someone on the “far-right” who was “pretending to be a journalist” at his event. He also suggested he was planning on reporting Hadfield for harassment to police, though it is unclear if he has done so.

Labelle will be completing his UK tour with two final stops on March 4, one at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, and another at the Catherine Wheel Pub in Norwich. Following the end of the tour, Labelle will be going on to visit Australia for similar events, and has stated he is planning on returning to the UK in June.

Killing of Tim McLean

On July 30, 2008, Tim McLean, a carnival barker, was returning home to Winnipeg after working at a fair in Edmonton. He departed Edmonton on board Greyhound bus 1170 to Winnipeg, via the Yellowhead Highway through Saskatchewan. He sat at the rear, one row ahead of the toilet. At 6:55 p.m., the bus departed from a stop in Erickson, Manitoba, with a new passenger, Vince Weiguang Li. Li, described as a tall man in his 40s, with a shaved head and sunglasses, originally sat near the front of the bus, but moved to sit next to McLean following a scheduled rest stop. McLean "barely acknowledged" Li, then fell asleep against the window pane, headphones covering his ears. According to witnesses, McLean was sleeping with his headphones on when the man sitting next to him suddenly produced a large knife and began stabbing him in the neck and chest. 

After the attack began, the bus driver pulled to the side of the road, and he and all the other passengers fled the vehicle. The driver and two other men made an attempt to rescue McLean, but were chased away by Li, who slashed at them from behind the locked bus doors. Li ultimately decapitated McLean and displayed his severed head to those standing outside the bus, then returned to McLean's body and began severing other parts and consuming some of McLean's flesh.

At 8:30 p.m., the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Portage la Prairie received a report of a stabbing on a Greyhound bus west of the city. They arrived to find the suspect still on board the bus, being prevented from escaping by another passenger, the bus driver, and a truck driver who had provided a crowbar and a hammer as weapons. The other passengers were huddled at the roadside, some of them crying and vomiting. As the suspect had earlier attempted to escape by driving the bus away, the driver had engaged the emergency immobiliser system, rendering the vehicle inoperable. Witnesses had observed the suspect stabbing and cutting McLean's body with a knife, and carrying McLean's severed head. 

By 9:00 p.m., police were in a standoff with the suspect and had summoned special negotiators and a heavily armed tactical unit. The suspect alternately paced the length of the bus and defiled the corpse. Police officers then observed Li eating parts of the body.  Meanwhile, the stranded passengers were transported from the scene to be interviewed at the Brandon RCMP detachment. RCMP officers reportedly heard Li say, "I have to stay on the bus forever." 

On July 31, 2008, at 1:30 a.m., the suspect attempted to escape from the bus by breaking through a window. The RCMP arrested Li soon afterward. He was shot with a Taser twice, handcuffed and placed in the back of a police cruiser. Parts of the victim's body, placed in plastic bags, were retrieved from the bus, while his ear, nose and tongue were found in Li's pockets. The victim's eyes and a part of his heart were never recovered and are presumed to have been eaten by Li. 

At 10:00 a.m., Greyhound representatives took the other passengers to a local store to replace their clothes, which remained on the bus. They arrived in Winnipeg at 3:30 p.m. that day, to be reunited with family members and friends. 

Li's trial commenced on March 3, 2009, with Li pleading not criminally responsible on account of mental disorder. This means he accepted that the offence occurred but claimed that he was unable to form the necessary mental element or mens rea. The psychiatrist said that Li performed the attack because he was hearing voices he believed were from God, telling him to destroy the demon sitting beside him, or he would be killed himself. The presiding judge, John Scurfield, accepted the diagnosis, and ruled that Li was not criminally responsible for the killing. Li was remanded to the Selkirk Mental Health Centre.  

On February 10, 2017, the Manitoba Criminal Code Review Board ordered Li be discharged. Li was granted an absolute discharge. There will be no legal obligations or restrictions pertaining to Li's independent living.

On July 14, 2016 a Tunisian ploughed a truck through a large crowd gathered for Bastille Day fireworks in the Mediterranean city of Nice. The attack killed 86 people and injured more than 400.

Some nights all Alison was up for was sitting on the couch with a League match on tv and reading, this was one of those nights. He’d read the book three times now and there was no need to read it a fourth time but her notes were...so insanely accurate. And funny.

Em curled up between her feet, snoring, as the rain pattered on the window and a rerun of last weekend’s Indigo League match flashed on the tv.

“You’ve been on that page forever.” Always perceptive. “Just ask.” Carefully untangling herself from the blanket, making sure not to wake Emolga, she wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling in and not so secretly reading the page he was on. “Seriously?”

“What happened?”

“Your father happened.”

“But what happened?”

Trying to distract him with a peck, slyly turning into a little nibble on his ear, he would not be deterred. “Fine. Have you ever followed him?”

“Yes.”

“Did you get arrested?” Oh. “Ass kicked?” Yeah. “Almost killed?” His silence spoke volumes. “Yeah. Thought so.”

“But I kind of want to hear the story about this one.”

“Of course you do.” Before she could let out another annoyed sigh, Tim spun her around to land on her lap in a fit of giggles. “Fine, fine. It actually started with Bernie.”

“Really?”

“Bernie!’ Cu threw the light debris everywhere. The front desk had been demolished. All the furniture sat in ruins but none of those had blood pooling underneath. Alison had a flashlight out, reaching under what had once been a counter. “Bernie, are you there? Can you hear me?”

A weak groan was the only response she got before a flurry of, “Cu! Cubone!”

“The ambulance will be here soon.” Harry careened through the place the door should have been.

“Where’s the fire?”

“We put out the fire.” Moving Cu to the side, “Help me get the counter off.”

On the count of three they hauled the counter several feet away, a new cloud of dust and debris making them cough and sputter.

“What happened?” Harry stripped off his hoodie, pressing it to Bernie’s bleeding shoulder.

“Team Flare happened!” Testing the rubble, Cu smashed the broken pieces of counter further. “Someone decided not to treat one of the ‘mons! I told you what would happen!”

“I don’t treat Teams.” Great time to get all high and mighty.

“And this is what happens!”

“Ok, enough!” Harry had reserved the hard stare for her, not Bernie, which was completely unfair. “The ambulance is on it’s way!”

“Who was it?” But she shrugged at him. “Who? I know you know.”

“Yeah, maybe.” Harry was pressing her, really? Just after she’d left Team Skull. Really? “Mr. G.”

“Alison Angeles.”

“Still sounds weird.”

“Who?”

This was a bad idea. Like, absolutely terrible. “Do you know who Xerxes is?” __________________________________________________

After Bernie was safely aboard the ambulance and on the way to the hospital did Harry return to their conversation.

“Xerxes?” Rarely did Bernie cause a stir, but when he did...wow. Like every transgression she ever got Harry involved in did not amount to this.

“Witness protection, new identity. Like the only way.”

“Cu!”

“No.”

“Yes.”

“Let’s go.”

“You are not seriously walking up to the psycho who thinks he is the flower child of freaking Xerosic and trying to finance his absolutely asinine little science projects!”

“Which science project would that be?” Damn. He was fishing. And then...then he said those fucking words. “Just follow me, I know where I’m going.”

“Do you know what you’re doing?” Because she had a knife and Cu and he had his Pikachu and some sort of twisted type of valor that was going to get them killed.

“Of course.”

Harry Goodman, did not know what he was doing. There was no plan. Because if he did have one, if he seriously knew what he was doing, nothing would have ended up like it did.

Both of them stared sadly at the crumbling facade of a former warehouse. For such a young and new city this building looked like it had been here for centuries.

“Someone did not get the memo if they want to join Team Flare.” Harry even laughed at his own joke. “Not nearly enough flare for Team Flare.”

“I’m not going in there.” Rarely did she respond to his jokes anymore.

“Yes, you are.”

“No, I’m not.”

“You’re my backup!”

“I’m 17! You brought a teenager as backup?”

“Why did you follow me?”

“Morbid curiosity about how you are going to die.” The truth hurts.

“You’re going in.”

“Only to see how you...” Harry started toward the front door, like an idiot. “Oh, not that way.” Alison stuck a finger in the air, not the one she usually reserved for Mr. I’m-so-smart-I’m-going-to-run-in-and-get-myself-killed Goodman.

“The roof.”

“Cu and I will watch from the vents.”

He did it. That stupid son of a bitch walked right in the front door and right up to Xerxes. Faded red suits of a few former grunts for Team Flare circled him as they’d discussed new genetic modifications to test. Unlike city ordinances, there were plenty of pokeballs around the makeshift lab. Their crawling through the vents meant her and Cu had missed his grand entrance.

“I’m sorry, who are you again?”

“That’s not exactly important.” Harry’s ad lib hurt, physically hurt her. Pikachu even seemed unsettled because he knew he was going to end up having to fight his way out of this. “What is important is what I can do for you if you leave the medic alone.”

“Medic?” Xerxes consulted his grunts. “What medic?”

“Sir, the one who would not treat the Larvesta you liberated from Team Rocket.”

“Ah, yes. Did we dispose of that useless man?”

“We tried.”

“Tried is not succeeding. Dad will not approve.” “Have you talked with Xerosic recently? I mean....you are his son, right?” Dangerous slope he’d started on. Was this even considered a plan? Xerxes, though, was at a loss. “Call off your next attack on my associate and I can get you in contact with dear old dad.”

While Xerxes pondered this concept, Cu heard something scuttling toward them. Clang. Clang. Clang. As it got closer Alison knocked a vent cover off. There were lots of legs traveling fast towards her and she was not battling in a vent.

“What have we here?” Xerxes drawled.

Slipping a knife out of her pocket, Alison tumbled out of the vent just as Spinark shot her and Cu with a web, slinging them to the vent. Upside down, Alison glared at Harry not to say it.

“Great backup you are.”

Oh! She’d get him back!

“Cubone!” Several grunts shouted and the room filled with light as partners were released from their balls. Houndour, Kriketune, and the likely cause of the fire at Bernie’s clinic, Magmar.

“You’re famous.” Harry groaned.

Wriggling as much as she could, Alison tried to cut through the Spinark web, knowing full well that it would be impervious. The motion, though, made her and Cu swing a bit and look more flustered than she was until the vent above them started to cave.

“So, you caused my grunts all that trouble.”

“Shouldn’t have messed with my friend.”

“Cubone!” He helped her swing, hoping that they could snap the web over something to cushion their landing.

That was when Harry enacted his plan, because there had been one. The shell of one. Pikachu’s electricity circled him in a frenzied arc, building and sparking.

“Do it, don’t hesitate.” Which if Harry was saying that meant he already had been hesitating. The Thunderbolt struck the vent toppling Alison and Cu right to the floor behind Xerxes. Pikachu rammed himself into the ‘head’ of Team Flare, knocking him and all his greater than she’d expected weight on top of Alison.

“Aaargh!” Her arm snapped like a twig over a corner of the fallen vent.

Xerxes, however, kicked with all his might, even trying to stand while stuck to the Spinark web.

“That was your plan?” She yelled at Harry through the pain. “That’s barely a plan!”

“What happened to you?”

Alison twisted her arm around, a nasty surgical incision scar, far different than her other cuts and stabbings that had scarred over. “Compound fracture. I went to the academy in a cast after surgery to have pins and a plate put in.”

Pikachu dashed in, shaking off the rain. When Harry hung up his coat Tim shook his head vehemently, “How could you!”

“What did I do?”

“You gave her a compound fracture to get a guy from Team Flare arrested?”

Harry looked just like a Magikarp gasping for air, “That was six years ago!”

“You need to buy her ice cream.”

“I agree. You need to buy me ice cream.”

“I just got home! Pikachu doesn’t want to go back out in the rain.”

“No one said Pikachu was going anywhere.” She’d already wrapped him in a blanket.

Harry gaped at them but they just glared back. “That was six...years...fine.”

Jonestown was not a Mass Suicide; Stop Mis-Labeling It

It was not a mass suicide, and to call it one is to completely misunderstand what truly happened. There was no consensus in the group to have all 909 of them die by “revolutionary suicide” (we’ll come back to that in a minute) because a dozen of their comrades left. And the only person who put out the kill order on Leo Ryan, his aide, and the reporters with him (including Tim Reiterman, who wrote the unquestionable quintessential book on Jones and The People’s Temple, Raven) was Jim Jones. 

It was not put to a vote if Ryan and the others should be fired upon on the airstrip. Jim Jones, fascist leader of his tiny regime, ordered it to be done, and it was done because he ruled by brainwashing and fear.

After he was told that the gun attack had been carried out, Jim Jones ordered his people to gather and drink poison to die with him. Before he started to insist this happen, he allowed members to speak up.

Christine Miller, a black woman who had undoubtedly joined the Temple because of its message of inclusion and social progressive agenda, called him out immediately: 

Christine’s first question is about traveling to Russia. The community had often been told of a potential migration to the Soviet Union – as other tapes and Edith Roller’s journals show – but the chances of such a move were highly unlikely. Nevertheless, Jones says that Christine has made her point well enough to ask someone off mike to try and contact Russia. In all likelihood, no one made such a call, but Jones’ promise of it speaks to his need to disarm the persuasiveness of Christine’s argument.

Not to be sidetracked, Christine refuses to give up the mike. Instead she continues by commenting that too few people had left with the congressman for over a thousand people to give their lives.

If you listen to the “death tape” (and, holy shit, make that decision very fucking carefully; and, no I will not link you to it) you can hear other people agreeing with Christine.

Christine proves by her own words that she wasn’t ready to die for Jim Jones or the Temple. Keep that in mind as we continue. 

Jim Jones claimed that what he was asking his people to do was an act of “revolutionary suicide.” This is terminology coined by Huey Newton of the Black Panthers, and considering exactly how much Jim Jones stole from the black community for his own purposes, it’s not surprising he attached this term to what he was doing. Here is an explanation of what “revolutionary suicide” means versus how Jim Jones used to to try and convince people to kill themselves:

Black Panther Party leader Huey Newton coined the term “revolutionary suicide” in the late 1960s in the context of what a revolutionary should expect as the consequence of challenging the system: if you carried the banner of revolution into the street – to stand up against the power of the Man – the Man was going to shoot you down. You would die at the hands of the oppressor. But the movement would continue: a brother or sister walking behind you would pick up that banner and keep walking. They would likely be shot down as well, as well as numerous revolutionaries following them. But one day, one of your successors was going to carry that banner all the way to freedom from the oppression and tyranny of the system.

However, this definition should be differentiated from Jim Jones’ interpretation of it. Jones appropriated much of the language of the radical left and its political manifestations in  the Black Panther and Communist parties, including his references to the Soviet Union as the “vanguard of liberation” and his characterizations of US government as fascist, racist, and imperialistic. Even his description of the Temple as “socialist” was an effort to distinguish itself from the American society he was rejecting.

But Jones’ definition and use of all of these terms depended upon the circumstances before him at any given time: a good socialist is completely self aware, does not waste his time with diversions, will not betray a political ally, will not fear death. The vanguard of liberation – the Soviet Union – may monitor its people’s activities, even if such practices in the United States proves its fascism.

Similarly, Jones used the term “revolutionary suicide” ��� especially the threat of it for his people – in numerous ways, primarily as a rhetorical device to achieve some specific goal. The people of Jonestown would commit revolutionary suicide, he says in one tape, “unless we are given freedom from harassment and given asylum.”  In another tape, Jones  describes “revolutionary suicide” as an appropriate alternative to being taken prisoner or going into slavery. The people of Jonestown also described the action of a “revolutionary suicide” as someone who would strap on a bomb and walk into a crowd of enemies before detonating it. And of course, the world came to know of Jones’ use of the phrase from the final words of the death tape, in which he defined it as “protesting the conditions of an inhumane world.”

Jim Jones changed the definition of “revolutionary suicide” as needed to scare his followers. The Black Panthers define it in exactly one case: You are shot down for being in the revolution.

At no point were Jim Jones, his followers, or The Temple at large ever a target for any violence merely for being part of a revolution. When Jim Jones ordered his followers to kill themselves, it was because he had ordered the murder of Leo Ryan, his aid, and all the media people with him, simply because roughly 20 members out of over 900 decided to leave Guyana. 

The last point on this is exactly how everyone died. Jones, like any cult leader, was a manipulator of the highest order. When he decided it was time for everyone to die because he had fucked up bad enough he could get arrested, he brought out the vats (which he had brought out and made people drink from before as a loyalty/desensitization test) and ordered that everyone drink.

Starting with bringing the babies forward and forcing them to drink the cyanide and Flavor-Aid (not Kool-Aid) mixture as they are held by a parent or another adult.

Now, imagine you are a parent in this situation. You have just witnessed your own child’s murder at the hands of the man you consider your savior. Is it suicide to drink and lay down with your dead child, or have you been manipulated into murder by your own hand?

Also imagine, as you make this decision, that you are surrounded by armed guards, ready to shoot you if you run. 

And now, imagine further, that it’s not just your child who has died but (in the case of the few survivors of Jonestown), your mother and sister and niece and nephew and grandmother. Imagine that you were the first to join The Temple and then convinced the rest of your family to come with you. And now, here you are, your child murdered in front of your eyes (most likely held by your spouse), and the rest of your family dies as well. 

This is not suicide. You are not killing yourself because you no longer wish to exist. You are killing yourself because you feel you have killed your family.

Jonestown was a fucking mass murder.

As 2018 is nearing the end, AceShowbiz is offering a recap of each month’s biggest event throughout the year.

AceShowbiz – A series of both unfortunate and fortunate events have filled 2018. Throughout the year, people are dealing with deaths, births, weddings, new romances and separations. Although we’ve lost some of stunning figures in entertainment world, with deaths also come births. This year also sees some celebrities welcoming new addition to their families.

Giving colors to the events happening this year are long-anticipated royal weddings. In addition, people get to witness some high-profile romances and even whirlwind romances in the hollywood entertainment.

As 2018 is nearing the end, AceShowbiz is offering a recap of each month’s biggest event throughout the year. Check them out below.

2018 had a rather bleak start with Mark Salling’s death of suicide by hanging on Tuesday, January 30. The actor, who was known for his role as Noah “Puck” Puckerman on FOX’s musical series “Glee“, was found lifeless, hanging from a tree near a riverbed in Sunland, the area where he lived.

His death arrived as he awaited sentencing after he was pleading guilty to possession pornography. Prior to his passing Mark allegedly attempted to commit suicide in the bedroom of his L.A. home before he freaked out and called his roommate for help.

Following news of his passing, a slew of his former “Glee” co-stars paid tribute to him on social media. Among them were Matthew Morrison, Iqbal Theba and vocal arranger Tim Davis.

Spring means a new season of “The Bachelor“. This year’s season though, might be different from the previous ones and one could argue that it might be the most controversial season in the franchise’s history.

Arie Luyendyk Jr., who was pointed as the leading man of season 22 of the ABC dating show, was dubbed the most hated Bachelor after he publicly dumped fiancee and winner Becca Kufrin for the runner-up, Lauren Burnham.

The race car driver met up with Becca a couple weeks after getting engaged during the finale. Becca initially thought they were going to spend the weekend together but it turned out they met up because Arie wanted to call things off with her as he still had feelings for Lauren.

“I felt like the more I was hanging out with you the more I was losing the chance of reconciling with her,” Arie told a shocked Becca. “We left Peru and I didn’t want to be as honest with you about how conflicted I was.”

Arie is now happily engaged to Lauren and is planning to have their wedding next year.

Actress Allison Mack, who is known for her role as Chloe Sullivan on “Smallville“, made headlines after news of her getting arrested for alleged sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and forced labor conspiracy broke. Mack was allegedly “one of the women in the first level of the pyramid immediately below Raniere.”

Following the arrest, fellow actress Samia Shoaib revealed that she was approached by Mack as she tried to lure her into the twisted world of the alleged sex cult. The Pakistan-born actress alleged that Mack sent her overly friendly and frantic emails in attempt to get her in a “women’s circle” back in March 2013.

While Mack didn’t seem like a bad person, Shoaib said that one email stuck out to her the most. “Thank you for last night! I had a lovely time with you and [your friend]. You are both delicious women,” Mack allegedly wrote in an email after their final dinner in the same year.

One of the biggest weddings in 2018 arrived in May when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially tied the knot on Saturday, May 19 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Followed by 10 bridesmaids and page boys, including Harry’s four-year-old nephew Prince George and three-year-old niece Princess Charlotte, the former “Suits” actress walked up the steps of the church in an exquisite white dress with flowing train and long lace veil designed by Givenchy artistic director Clare Waight Keller. She completed her stunning bride look with the Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau Tiara, made in 1932 and borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II.

In the procession, which was attended by famous figures including Abigail Spencer, Priyanka Chopra, James Corden, Amal and George Clooney among others, Prince Charles replaced Meghan’s father Thomas Markle to walk her down the aisle. Thomas was unable to attend the nuptials since he was suffering from health issues.

During the ceremony, which was conducted by Dean of Windsor David Conner, U.S. Bishop Michael Curry made a passionate address while the guests were treated to a gospel rendition of 1961 song “Stand by Me” by Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir. Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, officiated the marriage vows, with Harry and Meghan then exchanging wedding bands.

One of the sweet moments from the nuptials was when the camera caught Harry whispering to his bride, stating the words, “You look amazing.” The happy couple later announced in October that they are expecting their first child together.

Another loss hit the entertainment world after Kate Spade was found dead in an apparent suicide on June 5. The founder of the famed fashion brand hanged herself in her New York City apartment.

The brand confirmed the heartbreaking news through its official Twitter account, writing, “Kate Spade, the visionary founder of our brand, has passed.” It continued saying, “Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly heartbreaking time. We honor all the beauty she brought into this world.”

Kate committed suicide after suffering from depression and anxiety for many years, according to an official statement released on Wednesday, June 6. “She was actively seeking help and working closely with her doctors to treat her disease, one that takes far too many lives. We were in touch with her the night before and she sounded happy,” the statement added.

Fans were shocked on July 24 after it was reported that Demi Lovato was rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles for a suspected drug overdose. Law enforcement said Demi, who has been open about her struggles with substance abuse for years, was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment to reverse the effects of a narcotic overdose.

The “Heart Attack” hitmaker was later revealed to be “awake and with her family” following the near-fatal health scare. “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” her rep said in a statement. “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Taking to Instagram to address her condition in August, the “Cool for the Summer” singer said, “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well,” before thanking her fans. “I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time. I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time. Alongside Rose McGowan, Asia Argento was one of MeToo movement activists after she accused disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment in October 2017. However, things took a twisted turn after it was reported that the “XXX” star was involved in a sexual assault scandal of her own.

Actor and musician Jimmy Bennett claimed that the actress sexually harassed him when he was only 17 in 2013. According to the document, the two, who played mother and son respectively in “The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things“, met at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey with Bennett’s family member before the “Marie Antoinette” actress asked for sometime alone with the actor. The mother of two then gave him alcohol and kissed him. Afterward, she gave him an oral sex before they had a sexual intercourse.

It was also mentioned in the document that the sexual encounter with Argento was so traumatic for Bennett that it affected his mental health, career and income. It reportedly left him feeling “extremely confused, mortified, and disgusted.” The “Poseidon” actor later sued the Italian actress and director for $3.5 million in damages for the intentional infliction of emotional distress, lost wages, assault and battery.

It was revealed that Argento then paid $380,000 to Bennett in November 2017 as a part of the agreement. In exchange, Bennet had to give a picture of him and the actress in bed along with its copyright to Argento.

The world lost one of talented souls in September. Rapper Mac Miller was found lifeless from an apparent drug overdose in his San Fernando Valley home on September 7. He was 26.

The tragic news comes just months after his breakup with singer Ariana Grande, who was engaged to comedian and “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson” at that time.

The “Swimming” spitter previously shared his concern in an interview, saying, “was not happy and I was on lean very heavy.” Miller added, “I was so f**ked up all the time it was bad. My friends couldn’t even look at me the same. I was lost.”

Despite his passing, friends and fellow musicians are trying to keep his music and legacy with the launch of Mac Miller Circles Fund, a new foundation meant to help provide resources and programming for arts education in underserved communities. The foundation was launched at a benefit concert called “Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life” on October 31 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, which featured performances from Travis Scott (II), SZA, Chance the Rapper, Miguel, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

2018 is indeed a hard year for Ariana Grande. The “God Is a Woman” singer has yet to emotionally recover from the trauma she had from the bombing attack at her Manchester in 2017, and she had to face the harsh reality when one of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, died in suicide. The emotional struggle apparently took a toll on her whirlwind relationship with Pete as it was reported that they decided to call off their engagement in October.

It was said that the “Sweetener” singer thought “this wasn’t the right time for them.” While Pete was understandably heartbroken over this, he knew that this is the best for them.

However, they were allegedly not ruling out any possibility of getting back together as the two are still pretty much in love with each other. “They have a very special connection, partly because Pete has been there for Ariana during a painful time in her life. She will forever and always be grateful to Pete,” a source claimed. “They felt constantly under a microscope. They felt that they literally had no privacy and it really took a toll on their relationship,” said a source.

Marvel fans mourned the passing of Stan Lee on November 12. The Marvel Comics creator passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after medical emergency.

Four days after his death, Stan Lee was laid to rest in a private ceremony on Friday, November 16. “As we all continue to process our feelings of loss at the passing of a true legend, many are asking if there will be a memorial in Stan’s honor,” the POW! Entertainment said in a statement. “Stan was always adamant that he did not want a large public funeral, and as such his family has conducted a private closed ceremony in accordance with his final wishes. Our thoughts and prayers continued to be with them.”

The company continued saying in the statement, “We at Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment are working on putting together a tribute befitting the greatest creator of our time and the father of modern pop culture. The grandeur of Stan makes this a monumental task, and we hope to have more info in the days to come.”

Following his death, many of stars paid tribute to the comic legend. Original “Avengers” stars including Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans teamed up for an advert that is featured in the November 14 issue of The Hollywood Reporter.

Cardi B surprised fans when she announced her and husband Offset‘s split on late Tuesday, December 4 via Instagram. In a video, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker admitted people had been “bugging” her about their relationship before she finally decided to address it in the clip.

“I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father,” she said, before confirming, “We’re not together anymore.” Claiming that they’ve “got a lot of love for each other,” she said they would remain “good friends” and “good business partners.” She added, “He’s always somebody that I run to … to talk to.”

While she didn’t detail the reason of their separation, Cardi shared, “Things haven’t been just working out between us for a long time. It’s nobody’s fault. We just grew out of love,” hinting that their split was amicable. “It may take time to get a divorce,” she added, before ending it by saying, “And I’m gonna always have a lot of love for him, because he is my daughter’s father.”

The shocking bombshell arrived after reports of the Migos rapper tried to cheat on Cardi again with another female rapper emerged. A woman claimed the rapper, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, wanted to have a threesome with Cuban Doll and her friend.

Cardi and Offset later sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted vacationing together in Puerto Rico just a week after the former announced their split. However, the “Money” spitter clarified that she didn’t get back together with Offset. “I just had to get fucked. That’s all,” the Bronx rapper slyly said in an Instagram video.

Powers and Abilities

Bordeaux is a highly qualified, Secret Service-trained bodyguard and personal protection specialist. She is unusually driven, even for a professional. Bordeaux has proven able to sacrifice her own life for her principal.

Another asset is that she’s very good looking, and has the class and garde-robe to effortlessly join the parties of the rich and beautiful.

Sasha’s willpower was tested but not exceeded by one month of intensive training. This left her very fit physically, and with a solid base in standard Bat-skills – gymnastics, acrobatics, martial arts, fighting with batons, batarang throwing, moving across rooftops and via swing line, etc.

Sasha has now been trained further by Checkmate, but it is unknown if she was trained as a Pawn or Knight. At minimum she now has high-level commando and special forces training. Plus training in numerous espionage and black ops skills if she is a Knight.

History

Sasha Bordeaux’s parents died to a bomb in Jerusalem along with eight other tourists when she was twenty. She has no other family.

She became a Secret Service agent. As such she operated under the orders of Special Agent W. Walker. Walker considered her to be particularly gifted and driven, but probably his most insubordinate agent. Bordeaux might have made it to Presidential detail, which eventually went to be overseen by Walker. But she chose to quit and join the private sector.

After the No Man’s Land catastrophe , the board of Wayne Industries voted that Bruce Wayne should receive close personal protection at all times. Given the circumstances, an attack on their figurehead could mean serious losses on the stock exchange.

Lucius Fox personally oversaw the recruitment. He chose Bordeaux both for her exceptional skills and professionalism, and because her beauty would help Wayne swallow the pill. It helped, but not enough. Thus, Fox had to threaten to resign to have Wayne accept the bodyguard.

That vapid, famous playboy

Obviously, having a dedicated professional watch him 24/24 was a huge problem for the Batman. Even on the first day, he told her he had to answer nature’s call and vanished for much of the day. He eventually found the furious Bordeaux sitting on the steps of Wayne Manor in the evening.

As Bruce Wayne, he started becoming even dumber, clumsier and prone to goofs and disappearances than usual. But Bordeaux’s infernal dedication to her job made this more and more problematic. Furthermore, she soon realised that Wayne wasn’t around most nights.

During the following months, Bordeaux was confronted to various threats. A hit was ordered by the Penguin on Wayne’s star lawyer, as revenge over a previous defeat. Sasha’s quick reactions were the only thing to save Ms. Green and Bruce Wayne when the hit took place.

Mmmm… something’s wrong here

During Commissioner Gordon’s retirement dinner, Sasha noticed that Bruce was exceptionally heavy, muscular and observant despite his slouched posture and catastrophic apparent absent-mindedness.

The same night, Wayne turned the both of them into comic relief when he tripped and drenched Bordeaux and himself in sauce in front of the assembly. This is when Two-Face came in. Despite the odds, Ms. Bordeaux was ready to intervene, but Batman came next to her and told her to wait. Gordon defused the situation by the madman flip his coin.

Later, at a children’s hospital charity, Sasha was knocked out by Harley Quinn shortly after Wayne left the grounds.

On his end, Batman wasn’t doing well. He had alienated most of his allies, such as Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and Robin (Tim Drake), and could only count on Alfred and Oracle. That was the result of his cold, secretive, ruthless behaviour.

The lonely Wayne thus came to care about the smart, intense and beautiful Sasha. But, unable to learn his lesson, he coped by deciding he would take control of her.

You can’t handle the truth

Wayne started leaving subtle clues. With these, Sasha became certain that something was majorly fishy. He then had her discover some pieces of bat-gear in a suitcase of his, which led to taking the bodyguard to the Batcave to tell her she had become a problem.

However, Bordeaux remained doggedly determined to protect her principal, even if that meant guarding Batman at night. The discussion became surreal, as they both refused to admit that they were in love with each other.

Wayne told Bordeaux she’d have a month to prove herself by passing an intense, record-breaking training program. She defiantly accepted and succeeded, qualifying to follow the Batman on his nightly patrols without being dead weight.

Bordeaux, while focusing at first on her mission, quickly discovered how exhilarating the nightly acrobatics and fighting could be. She received her own costume, mask and utility belt, but wasn’t given a code name.

The Gotham Gladiatrix ? The Caped Crusaderette ?

A few times, she even operated alone. Bordeaux had redefined her mission of protecting Bruce Wayne to working for the Batman, becoming a clear substitute for Robin. She also filled a gaping hole in his personal life. Sasha insisted upon celebrating Christmas despite Bruce’s poor reaction.

In 2001, the Joker gassed the Slab, turning many of the metahuman prisoners there into green-haired, chalk-skinned maniacs. A woman named Cucilla became one of the infectees and became a lethal danger on the Gotham dockland.

The costumed Bordeaux managed to bring Cucilla down. She received the invaluable help of the Huntress (Helena Bertinelli), though Sasha had to fend off the Huntress’ bitter hostility toward Batman as well as her attempts to kill Cucilla.

But Cucilla secretly was a Checkmate agent on an undercover mission within the Slab. Once she was cured, she kept precise memories about the events. Thus, Checkmate soon had a pretty detailed entry on the nameless blonde partner of the Batman.

Bordeaux still worked for Wayne as a bodyguard. Thus, she operated along with the Batman to “protect Wayne” from the Scarecrow. The madman had gone postal whilst giving a motivational speech at Wayne Industries. Bordeaux also disarmed a disgruntled employee who wanted to kill Wayne after Lucius Fox had a stroke.

Though Bordeaux was quite proud of her accomplishments, this didn’t entirely dull her sharp analytical intelligence. She slowly grew certain that her discovery that Wayne was Batman hadn’t been an accident, and that he had been manipulating her.

Bruce Wayne, fugitive

At that point, Vesper Fairchild was apparently assassinated by Bruce Wayne. The devastated Wayne ended up in prison. Bordeaux was arrested without bail, and judged separately. Her career, and quite possibly her life, were now over.

Thus, even Sasha became tempted to give up on Wayne. That lasted until he briefly touched her shoulder, which washed the doubts away.

Bruce Wayne eventually fled. While he was a fugitive, the prosecution and police tried to destroy Bordeaux, having her listen numerous times to the tape of Fairchild’s last panicked phone call. They worked her hard as she was the only possible chink in Wayne’s legal defense, but she didn’t give an inch. She was eventually sent to Blackgate.

Prison life didn’t go particularly well. Sasha acquired enemies among the female prisoners, earning her multiple attacks in the courtyard. She had little hope of being free before she was at least in her 50s. Ms. Bordeaux came to the depressing realisation she had taken the greatest step for a bodyguard. She had taken the bullet, given her life to protect her principal.

For a crime she did not commit

Bruce Wayne was eventually judged innocent. He wanted his lawyers to free Bordeaux. But while still loyal, she had come to hate his guts for having manipulated her all along. She pridefully rejected all help and said she would defend herself, dooming herself to decades in the pen.

She was then approached by a CIA man. The agent told her he could instantly get her out of prison if she wrote a confession about witnessing Wayne kill Fairchild. After several days of terrible temptation and actually writing the letter, Bordeaux burned it. The letter she gave the Agency man instead read “go to Hell”.

In late 2002, a brawl with a prisoner who hated her ended badly. The woman punched Sasha in the guts with a heavy dumb bell. With a low key death wish, Bordeaux refused to go to the infirmary. She collapsed a few days later, blood oozing from her mouth. Internal organs had been ruptured from the blow.

The wound kept getting bigger until she died from internal haemorrhaging.

Checkmate ! (part 1)

Bordeaux’s corpse was claimed under suspicious circumstances by her non-existent family. Batman went crazy following the trail of Bordeaux, whom he suspected was not dead. He eventually determined she was being held by Checkmate. Meanwhile Ms. Midnight, the Black Bishop of Checkmate, was offering Sasha the chance to become a full time Checkmate agent.

She was perfect for them – ex-Secret Service, highly trained and talented, with an impeccable career, and trained by the Batman. Furthermore, they knew she had been the mysterious blonde vigilante operating in Gotham, as they had matched the Bordeaux file with the observation of “Cucilla”.Lastly, she had the undeniable advantage of being declared death.

Bordeaux, wanting to serve her country, accepted.

Checkmate ! (part 2)

However, there was a small problem. Batman was systematically wrecking Checkmate operations in and around Gotham, and deeply hacked their systems to check their records. He clearly had a mad on Checkmate, and wouldn’t let go until he knew where Bordeaux was. The Black Bishop saw that only Bordeaux could possibly stop him.

Bordeaux confronted Wayne. At first she was angry at him, accusing him of having used and discarded her. As the conversation went off the rails, they came to admit they loved each other. After an uncontrolled kiss, Wayne admitted how he had manipulated Bordeaux. He also admitted that it was because he loved her and was clumsily attempting to control and protect her.

Though Sasha was now aware of how much she loved Bruce, the situation was unsalvageable. Besides both now had lives which made any relationship impossible.

Thus Sasha Bordeaux walked away in distress, asking the badly shaken Bruce Wayne never to seek her again.

Checkmate and the Dark Knight

Since Checkmate knows that Sasha was Batman’s partner, they presumably know that Bruce Wayne is the Batman. Bordeaux’s handler, the Black Bishop, always made a big show of not asking Sasha to tell her the secret, but that’s presumably to mark her appreciation for Bordeaux’ samurai-like integrity. Sasha probably knows that they know, but obviously will never tell Checkmate.

Still, it is important to note that Checkmate has a terrible relationship with President Luthor. They have actively investigated CIA black bag ops launched by Luthor using narcotics-derived money, and have plainly admitted to the Batman they were extremely wary about the billionaire industrialist.

It is thus highly probable that any conclusions about the Batman’s identity have not been distributed to other government agencies.

Furthermore, it is quite likely that Oracle has access to Checkmate computers. Remember, she is a close ally of Amanda Waller. And the Wall is the US intelligence community’s 700 lbs gorilla.

Description

Bordeaux is a beautiful blonde in her late 20s with a determined air, natural elegance and an athletic body.

When she became a Checkmate member, her face was surgically reconstructed to change her looks, and she changed hair colour.

Personality

Sasha is actually a sensitive, caring, vital young woman with powerful emotions and a great capacity for love. But she hides her own emotions, even to herself.She remains a stern, deadly serious professional 24/24 over a vast variety of circumstances.

Her most obvious trait of character when she has her professional mask is her dedication. She will do *anything* to protect her principal and ensure they are always living under secure and controlled circumstances.

If the principal tries to deny her the proper amount of control and discipline, she become angry and bossy. She can accept authority, but this has clear limits. By nature she doesn’t take orders well since she knows she’s more competent at her job than most, and prefers to trust her own judgement.

One fine lass

Despite her control freak tendencies and her strong emotional reservation, she has a remarkable array of qualities. Sasha is smart, observant, stubborn, stable, compassionate, etc.. She is on the introspective side, and tends to analyze things a lot.

While she was in awe of the Batman, her drive was such she stood up to him repeatedly, insisting on accompanying him so she could protect him. Obviously, he was quite beyond even her abilities to protect. But Sasha is nothing if not a woman of duty, even under surreal circumstances and when nearly mentally broken.

Furthermore, Bordeaux took exception to most deadly violence in her vicinity. For instance, she was adamant in protecting the Jokerized Cucilla from the Huntress.

A rare glimpse of Sasha without her emotional rigidly was seen when she was pretty much hurled from a building by the Batman to learn how to use a de-cel swingline, and when she stopped her first street criminal with a precise acrobatic kick. She was flushed, super-enthusiastic and almost giggling – briefly resembling the 16-years old Spoiler in her reaction.

With some shortcomings

While she could deconstruct how Wayne had manipulated her, she ironically had trouble accepting that her main reason for loyalty was love. Even though it became obvious, at the latest, when he touched her in Blackgate.

But despite her obvious intelligence, she didn’t understand before it was too late that Bruce’s tortured actions were due to his love for her.

Due to her peculiar job, Sasha lives in solitude. This meant that her ambiguous relationship with Wayne made her as uneasy as he was.
