Her eyes met theirs while singing. With it being only rehearsals, Veronica wasn't as concerned about how she looked. Their warning had been simply enough already: Don't let anyone know about this. They weren't technically in the general public, and everyone on crew seemed preoccupied with their job than dissecting what every glance she made meant. When someone called for a break, she grinned and pulled them away to somewhere they could be alone. "I need you to be less cute so I can be better focused. I nearly missed my cue on that second song."

Unlocking her front door once they reach it, she flips on the hallway light before slipping out of her shoes. Veronica sets her bag down, turning towards Chaeyeong. "Well, make yourself at home," she smiles. Gesturing with her hand, she points towards the living room. "Couch is over there. I'll grab the bottle and some glasses for us." Stepping away from her guest, she does just as she said she would and heads into her small kitchen. Rooting through one of the cabinets until she finds it, she walks back into the living room. The room is cutely decorated, a few pops of color in deep contrast to the white walls of her place. "Should I grab anything else? Did you want something to eat?" she asks as she sets down the bottle and glasses on the coffee table. ‖ @mndstom

She thinks for a moment, humming in thought even, and eventually, there's a small smile tugging on her lips. "Then we might as well drink it." She finally gives an answer, her dark hues glancing at the female next to her just in time to see the redness on her cheeks. Chaeyeong doesn't say anything despite it causing her to raise her brows. She ends up looking forward, going up the stairs to the floor where her apartment is. "We will see where the night goes." It's not a promise she will stay over, but she's also not saying no to the idea. Other than Veronica seeing her grumpy morning persona, is there any other reason why they shouldn't have the sleepover? The singer can't think of one. || @seolinah

That was true, but it had taken her forever just to be accepted by this label. But they also had to take into consideration the contract they were still under. The idea of potentially being sued by their label didn't exactly sit well with her either. "I know," she said with a nod. "I mean, you're right. The longer we let this go on, the more ridiculous this'll end up being." Veronica frowned and plopped down onto the bed beside her girlfriend. She turned towards her, grabbing her hands. "So what should we do? What do you want to do?"

edith groaned and sat down on the bed, frustrated beyond belief. "i mean, they a-aren't the only la-label, v." edith said and sighed. "i l-love performing, and i-i adore doing i-it with you, but i don't w-want to h-hide forever." edith explained and looked up at her. "when will w-w-we say no? when they h-hire us some b-beards? when w-we c-cannot have kids, b-because that doesn't f-fit the image? i d-don't know i-if i want to ma-make that s-sacrifice." she admitted.

At the question, she pauses to think about it. "Yeah," she says after a second, nodding. "I think I have a bottle of something from when I first moved in." Veronica didn't drink too often, especially with how little free time she had, but she's pretty sure she had something leftover tucked away on her shelves. Having Chaeyeong over definitely seems like cause for celebration. Who knew when they'd have time to hang out like this again. She chuckled, though even she has to admit she's slightly tired too. "I do have a very comfortable couch," she grins. "But I don't mind you staying over either if you end up not wanting to make the trek back to yours."

She stays quiet for a while, clearly, something is on her mind. "Do you have alcohol?" The female inquires. It's late, but is it late to have a couple of glasses of alcohol? She doesn't think so. Chaeyeong doesn't drink that often, but there are nights when she's drinking one glass of wine to calm her nerves. And with company, wine tastes even better. "Though I must admit, I feel a little bit tired." She adds, lifting her hand to show her index finger and thumb almost touching each other. Just a little tired. "So if I end up falling asleep on your couch, don't tell me I didn't warn you."

"We can drink it," she reassures. "I mean, unless you don't want too. I just don't get many occasions to drink to begin with, so I might as well take the opportunity when it presents itself." Of course in saying that, her mind can't help but wander to whether or not other opportunities would present itself outside of drinking together. The though had heat creeping over her cheeks, and she hoped Chaeyeong wouldn't think much of it. Veronica shakes her head, ushering them inside the building to head up. "I wouldn't make you sleep on the floor. But I'm sure we could figure that out if you end up staying..." It isn't that she wants to push for the woman to sleep over exactly, but having further uninterrupted time with her sounds rather nice. ‖ @mndstom

"Should we drink that? Unless you're keeping it safe for something special, then a simple water or juice will be enough." Even when she asked for alcohol, she will not get pouty if there isn't any and only gets water or juice. Maybe it will be a better idea to get water or juice? At least those will help her stay up, and she will have the energy to walk back home. Is Aurora hinting she can sleep at her place? She sucks air between her teeth, thinking of her words for a moment or two. "As long as you don't make me sleep on the floor, I don't see why it would be a bad idea to stay over." Then again, it wouldn't be her first time sleeping on the floor. She just prefers cushions over the hardness of the floor. || @seolinah

"I did say hopefully," she points out with a snicker. Veronica certainly isn't going to be known for a great throw or aim. But it's the thought that counts, right? Though she better hopes that the pair of them just won't encounter a bug any time soon while they're together. Maybe she should've called it a night and let Chaeyeong head home instead, but she didn't exactly want their night together to end. As unusual as the woman could be sometimes, she did like her company. And maybe she's curious to know what Chaeyeong thinks of her and hoped inviting her in would help clear up that specific question. "Okay, cool," she smiles when she agrees. "I should have snacks and drinks if you want."

She pretends to be thinking for a moment, lips pressed on a thin line, eventually forming a smile. "If you even manage to hit it." She points out with a chuckle. And then she laughs, throwing her head back and covering her mouth with the back of her hand. Veronica gave a response she expected to hear. "No thank you, I will not go to a haunted house and make a fool out of myself for viewership." And Chaeyeong is pretty sure her "weak" heart will not be able to deal with it. She halts her steps when she notices the other female stops walking, and she turns around to face her, a rather confused expression on her facial features until she hears the other's question. "I..." She looks over her shoulder to look at the building. "Sure." And with the answer of hers, she turns to look back at the female. How can she say no?

Her eyes rolls, but a chuckle leaves her lips. She pokes the woman in her side, prodding her forward. Not that she doesn't share similar sentiments. In the last five minutes, Veronica's let out a handful of yawns as well. "It's going to take longer to finish if you keep dragging your feet."

Head thrown back with a groan, Chaeyeong continues forward with her rather sluggish steps and her posture not being so great. "I want to go to beeeeed." It's a funny sight to see a 28 - year old woman whining. It even makes the situation funnier if people are familiar with her stoic attitude.

"When it comes to bugs, I think it'd be safe to say our best bet will be to run away crying," she laughs. "But if it makes you feel any better, I will throw something at it before running away with you. Hopefully that'll give us a head start if it's something that flies." Eventually her apartment building comes into view. The idea of a warm shower and getting into bed sounds like a dream after their night time walk. Her head turns to look at Chaeyeong, an expression of awe and horror on her face. "You have lost me there, I'm afraid. I will gladly cheer you on while you do stuff like that though." As they got closer to her place, she shifted her bag forward so she could look for her keys. Veronica paused as she pulled them out of her bag, glancing at the other woman. "So I know it's late and all, but did you want to come in for a bit before you head home?"

"Didn't you say you will protect me?" She questions with a raised brow, glancing at the female again, and an amused smile is tugged on her lips. "Or is that where the protection will end and we both run away, crying?" She continues the inquiry, finally noticing the female's apartment building. Even when they're not near the building and she still has to walk home, Chaeyeong can still feel the warmth. Or maybe she's dreaming of it? "You know, the odd thing is, I actually enjoyed being scared" The singer muses, the smile of hers not disappearing. Yes, maybe she's a masochist when it comes to getting scared and she usually ends up laughing at herself after all the panic. "I enjoy those types of things. Like... Going to haunted houses in amusement parks or something like that."

Once cold by the chill, she can felt a warm blush rise over the back of her neck when the other woman offers her jacket to her. Sure, it could easily be a friendly gesture, but Veronica would be lying if she said she didn't hope it might mean something more. "Thanks," she murmurs before slipping it on. And if her eyes just have a slighter harder time meeting hers, she'll just pretend it's because she's paying attention to their surroundings while they're walking. "So we should avoid being near any bugs when we're together then," Veronica chuckles. Her nose crinkles. "Ooh, those are not fun. I know fans love it, but I prefer not to be traumatized for their sake. I think I'd rather deal with heights than haunted houses."

She can't help but furrow her brows. Not really saying anything, she opens the zip of her hoodie and removes it, only to offer it to the other. "I'll be fine." She assures the other while looking in front of her. Yes, Chaeyeong will be fine. The walk home isn't long, and she enjoys the cool weather touching her skin. "Bugs don't make me scream, they just make me cry." She chuckles, shuddering at the mere thought of seeing a cockroach somewhere. "But it was for a show. They wanted me to go to a haunted house and they really knew how to make me piss my pants."

"Just a little," she manages to say before another cool breeze swept past. She shivers and rubs her arms once more. "I always forget how quick it cools down at night. Would've brought a jacket otherwise." But at least they'd be inside soon. Veronica could make due with putting up with it for the rest of their short walk. "Yeah? For some show or did you find a bug in your place? Pretty sure the last time I screamed was because I found a cockroach out in the hallway of my place."

She wants to say something playful, joke a little, but instead, she chooses to stay silent. Whenever someone informs her they're enjoying spending time with her or they "like" her, it surprises her. What's there to like? Chaeyeong isn't a social butterfly and it's hard to tell how she feels. It's a wall she has built in front of her, not wanting people to get too close to her. But there are people who have happened to crack the wall slightly, and Veronica has become one of those people. She glances at the female, humming slightly. "Are you cold?" She inquires while her eyes move to look at their surroundings again. They are almost home. "The last time I screamed? Geez... I don't even remember. Couple years ago?"

"Yes, maybe," she says with a roll of her eyes. "Maybe it's because I just happen to like you." It isn't meant as any sort of confession, but she knows how it sounds. Not that she thought Chaeyeong would take it in any other way than a platonic way--it's difficult for her to tell where she stands in the other woman's life to begin with sometimes. Her arms cross over her chest as they walk, attempting to keep some of cold off of her. She chuckles as they go back and forth about knowing how to scream. "I think it's more of a question of when was the last time you had to scream."

She dramatically lets out a surprised gasp, and she even clutches her chest. "You would try to protect me?" Maybe, just maybe, her heart fluttered at the female's words, but it doesn't show in her expression. Instead of showing it, she continues to walk. "You know, I think I don't know how to scream." She starts, being in thought for a moment before continuing. "Sure, whenever I laugh, my voice does the little squeal or wheeze, but other than that, I don't think I've ever had to scream..." She halts herself, remembering her early days when she would appear in shows, and one of them involved a haunted house. "Never mind. I take back whatever I said."

She's not upset any longer, but still chooses to look it. Pouting and huffing just as an added measure to be annoying. Veronica stretches slightly as she gets up, raising her arms over her head. "It'd be troublesome waiting around for either anyway." By the time either arrived, they easily could've been where they needed to be. "Mean," she says, unoffended. "I'd definitely try to protect you. Or at least scream loud enough for someone to be alerted to our whereabouts." The chances of anything bad occurring is low anyway, but it doesn't stop some of the intrusive thoughts.

"Oh c'mon, don't look so upset." She speaks with a hint of amusement, here and there chuckling quietly. Ruffling her own hair a little before fixing it, she looks in the direction where they're meant to go. She knows the walk will not be a long one, but the mere thought of a simple walk causes her to scrunch up her nose. "Part of me wants to get a taxi or call one of our managers to come to pick us up." Despite her words, she still starts to walk. "If someone comes for us, I will protect you. Maybe." Chaeyeong will most likely run off, dragging her along with her. "And we're not actually in a horror movie, so I think no one will actually come for us."

Huffing again, she shoots a glare in the other's direction. "Well so glad to have been some amusement to you," she says, pouting slightly. It does have her a little more awake than she'd been previously though--not that she wants to be awake because of that. If anything, Veronica should be relieved Chaeyeong didn't have the foresight to record it. How embarrassing. She nods. "Yes, especially now that I'm sufficiently creeped out, I'm bound to jump at the first rustling sound we hear on the way back."

"After this? I'm wiiiide awake." The fit of laughter actually managed to wake her up. And if you ask her, it was her plan all along. It's still hard for her to keep herself calm, small chuckles leaving her once in a while. "I should have recorded." She says while standing up, extending her hand to the woman. "Shall we continue or else we will actually fall asleep in here and before you know it, our pictures are on the internet."
