Real people are so complex and so it’s not 24/7 that someone gets them so right that you feel like you’re watching a segment of their lives (milex writers in general do tend to have an uncanny ability to write them brilliantly) but with you it feels like everything you write can just be added on to their actual interactions and it’s perfection.

I’m so so pleased that my ramblings had an impact on getting your confidence back to heights it should be at because I rlly can’t explain how brilliant you and your writing are so thank you thank you for all the work you put into it. The Demon King had demonstrated the unholy power that didn’t seem to diminish one bit since he was sealed thousands of years ago. Link could feel the dark energy from the hand he had recently acquired, the muscle memory of Rauru’s arm on full display as it tensed when the Demon king flexed his power.

The Sages were covered and restrained by the gloom that he created and shot out. Link was the last one standing still able to fight.

The demon king lowered his gaze to Link.

“If it’s any consolation, you are fairing better than Rauru did, and you only have a fraction of his powers and down a sage.” Ganondorf commended

Link kept his eyes on the evil king. His expression stoic and hiding anger.

“Looking in your eyes, I can see that of all people, you can understand me the most.”

The statement surprised Link, his expression shifted to confusion.

“I am as shocked as you are. But that look of hatred. I have felt it before. It’s the very same emotion I felt eons ago.”

The demon king touched his chin as if he was trying to focus.

“Yes, I know this feeling well. Only ones destined for greatness can understand this feeling.”

Link kept his eyes on Ganondorf, waiting for any opening.

“You were born with a destiny that held the weight of the world on your shoulders.”

Link didn’t react, letting him speak.

“A destiny that you would do anything to live up to. Sacrificing parts of yourself, any weakness in your heart in order to live up to it.”

Link’s eye twitched, he felt that the demon king did understand him.

“And as you prepare for your destiny, an opposing force, a power far beyond Any comprehension appears, shaking everything up. All your preparation, all of your pain left for nothing! And all you can do is watch as everything you swore to protect is swallowed up by the overwhelming might.”

Link watched as for a brief moment, his eyes appeared less monstrous.

“I watched as my kingdom, my birthright was ripped away from me by a powerful god like being that had no regard for your pain or struggle. He simple appeared and forced you to your knees.” Ganondorf spat in disgust.

Link tightened his grip on the master sword.

“And I refused to simply lay down and accept this INVADER’s rule. And I took power when I had the chance in order to take back what was mine, and get revenge for everything he took from me!” The demon king roared.

The rage shifted to glee.

“But now things changed. Now I’m the one with power. And unlike Rauru who squandered his might, I am using every ounce of it to achieve my destiny, Ruling this land!”

Link charged, catching Ganondorf off guard. He tried to block but Link was too fast, slashing his chest with all his might!

“AGHHHHHH!” The malice filled monster yelled in pain.

The sages watched as Link followed up with a second slash, then a third, and then a fourth.

Ganondorf used his power to push him back.

“You arrogant Child!”

“You’re right.”

The voice was softer than many were expecting from the hero that held the master sword.

“I do know what it’s like to have everything I love taken by a force beyond my understanding, it has happened to me twice already.”

The demon king moved his blade in front of him. Preparing a strike.

“The difference is, I am not doing this for destiny or birthright. That stopped mattering to me long ago. I’m fighting you so I can find Zelda and we can fix all the damage you’ve done.”

Link prepared for Ganondorf’s attack and charged him the moment Ganondorf did.

There was a clash.

Link wobbled but stayed on his feet, The demon king however began falling.

Can we just talk about the amazing use of contrast when it comes to Michael's written words in the dlc??? Everything is so dark and distorted, meanwhile with Michael's words you feel the warmth despite the lack of a voice.

It helps too that they use golden yellow! A warm color, a color that represents happines, optimism, and friendship. The light that guides Rose to her journey to the crystal.

They really could've went and made Ethan a cool, badass, still sane mold monster but they didn't, they made him something that literally look like it came from the heavens. He really is an angel sent from heaven 🥺

Also I'm glad they didn't fully make Mia bad here, though there was the weird plot hole where she didn't tell Rose anything about Ethan... And from what me and my friends discussed it appears Rose has gone into a boarding school, resulting in less time to visit Mia. Probably why she mentions "I haven't seen Mom in ages."

Its super cool Rose is hella smart, though it ended up kinda kickstarting the bullying for her :( they're just jelly she's tons smarter and cooler than they'll ever hope to be.

The whole Winters home sequence wa soooo fluffy and cute it just made me giddy inside!!! :3 and when Ethan says "You have me." when Eveline screams that Rose is no more than a freak who has no friends made me break UGHH

And as usual, Ethan puts other before himself even willing to fight Miranda and possibly suffer a lot. But it wouldn't matter as long as his daughter was safe.

And what does Rose do? She sacrifices the only chance she has to be normal, all just to save her dad. Like he did for her back then!!!!

Ethan's words were like a soft light guiding and supporting Rose through the dark and creepy nightmare. It's not just what he said, but the way his words were shown was so on point. I was so excited to see what he'd say and at the same time felt relief every time he appeared, cause after all the creepy and intense stuff, he provided Rose with support and a moment to breathe.

I feel it's once again them not caring about making Ethan a macho badass. He's just a dude and he cares so much for his daughter, prioritizing her over anything else. And his appearance with soft, glowing words really accentuates that. He's just a soft dad 🥺🥺 and really, it's what Rose needed in that case. It helps build up their relationship up to the end where they hug and say they love each other. It wouldn't work as well, it wouldn't hit as hard, if for most of the game it was just a cool badass portrayal of Ethan who at the end suddenly shows a caring, soft side. I mean, I'm not implying anything about real life; but since this is a fictional story, it worked so well to have "Michael" guide Rose and help her while being portrayed as calm and reassuring, for us to invest and be touched by their final scene. I mean dude they really went for the feels and they wanted us to cry even harder than we cried at the end of the main game.

The boarding school idea is kinda good, although I wonder how and why they decided to send her away. They had seen how Eveline ended up when she felt that she didn't have a family to love her; why did they repeat that mistake with Rose? And yeah I'm wondering too why Mia didn't tell her anything about Ethan. Maybe Rose was too young to remember when Chris took her? But still like, there should be something, idk. And if they do leave it there and don't explore the Winterses' story in any future games, then the reason Rose didn't learn anything about Ethan will stay a plot hole.

Oh I feel that about her being bullied. I was bullied a lot at school too, and it always comes from kids that have something going on with their lives and just take it out on an easy victim. Though that kinda goes to show that Rose had received enough care by that point that she didn't turn full-on Eveline and never burst out using her powers to hurt other people. Or like, you know Stephen King's Carrie? That second doll puzzle where they prepare to throw something on the Rose doll from a bucket could have easily ended up in Rose losing it and killing them on the spot. And now I'm thinking, when K in the beginning cutscene tells her "You're not a freak!" or whatever, it feels like it's the first time Rose hears something like that. And it would make sense, considering it's a fake, only Miranda manipulating her. Geez Rose really doesn't have anyone to support her through this huh. Once again, Chris wants her to join his operation, but god forbid he supports her emotionally and helps her accept that she's not a monster.

No, only Ethan is there for her, and he's not even THERE. That "You have me" breaks me too, I'm going through Maxylobes' first time playthrough and seeing it again makes me wanna scream. My sweet Ethan! He really doesn't care if Rose has her powers or not, he only wants her to be happy in whatever way she wants to be. And he invests in it. Rose wants to remove her powers and is stubborn about it? Imma help my daughter out! Rose accepts her powers back in order to defeat Miranda and have a moment with me? I'm so very proud of my baby T_T

And yeah when Rose breaks the crystal, it's like she's at once and full-force reciprocating her dad's devotion. Like, it means a lot to me that in the main game, Ethan could have left the village at any given moment, yet he stayed and fought in order to save his daughter, even dragged himself back TO LIFE to complete that. And again, Rose has the chance to get out of the megamycete consciousness at any given moment, but she's determined to get rid of her powers… and it's a case of "the real treasure was the friends we made along the way" because she realizes that what she really wanted was not to get rid of her powers, but to embrace and accept them, and feel LOVED with OR without them. And Ethan's guidance, and support, and protection, and LOVE throughout the whole nightmare she was going through, no matter whether she got rid of her powers or kept them, is what helped her do exactly that. She didn't want to feel "normal"; she wanted to feel loved. Her classmates hated her for her powers; Chris seemed to only value her FOR her powers. And instead, Ethan shows her unconditional love, that powers or not, he loves her to death, literally.

Bruh I'm… I'm… I need a moment. I had so many reservations about this DLC but GOD did it give me so much more than I could ever have expected.

i’ve gotten into the habit of doing these check in posts with everything that’s going on so here i am. back again. mourning log day 3 except this one is just aimless rambling

i feel a bit better. i didn’t feel better earlier today though, i woke up and it only took about fifteen or twenty minutes of watching wil’s stream til i started crying a lot… admittedly that’s better than day 2 where i woke up and immediately had an anxiety attack but yeah. felt sort of cold and numb all day like i was walking around in a fugue, everything felt fake and distant and strange. hearing phil and wilbur’s voices (like especially phils for whatever reason) today felt quite nice but the only thing that made me feel real was when i was crying about techno

i cried while answering some asks, which for transparency’s sake has happened several times,,, when i say i understand you all and i feel your pain i Really mean it. it’s been cathartic to read your feelings and cry with you all

but i feel a bit better now. of all fucking things listening to hermitgang actually improved my mood quite a lot and thats so hysterically funny to me that i can’t even find it in myself to be mad about it. i played some toontown and then called my girlfriend and i rewatched philza’s vr world tour stream with her which was really comforting. she and him helped me feel real again,, we watched sbi terraria before that which was really really nice. hearing his voice still makes me feel so. aghhhhhh. i really really miss him

By the end of the day, you were completely beat and just wanted to rest

I started to back away and sprinted on the other direction but he quickly held my wrist , pulled me towards him and held me from my waist tightly “now don’t mind if I do” he said and brushed my hair away from neck and bit into it feeding from it and I screamed and cried  and thrashed trying to free myself from him but that only made his grip tighter, I felt myself getting weaker and weaker and then I remembered I had a little stake in my pocket, I reached for and stabbed it in his back he pulled out my neck and hissed I then threw a punch in his face with made his nose bleed a little and then I ran inside the forest. kai pulled the stake out of his back, wiped the blood from his nose “naughty girl” he exclaimed, he vamp speeded towards the forest “y/n come out, come out wherever you are, you know It won’t take me long to find you, with your neck bleeding and everything plus I can smell your  fear for miles” he sadistically laughed  quoting the song ‘ANIMALS’, y/n could hear him, that means he was getting closer, she couldn’t move because if she did, it would make a noise and she would get caught, so she stayed behind a tree, holding the spot on neck that kai bit earlier, and tried  to calm her heartbeat and breathing so he doesn’t  hear it, she heard the footsteps getting closer, she stiffened because of the terror and closed her her eyes wishing and praying he wouldn’t find her, suddenly the footsteps stopped and went into another direction as they grew fainter, y/n took a breath of relief .....and suddenly, someone whispered in her ear “you really suck at hiding” she screamed and fell on floor, she tried to run while still being on the floor but kai held her leg ,pulled her body and turned her around and went on the top of her and pinned her hands to the ground while she struggled beneath him  and he noticed how hot she looks struggling under him ‘ughh if only we were doing something else’ he thinks to himself “you know being in this position made me realize that we could have so much fun if you don’t keep killing the vibe” kai said smirking, y/n’s eyes widen at his statement and her face goes red, she was always attracted to him, she thought his sociopathic allure was hot ,which she  hated herself for “please let me go, please don’t kill me” she begged ,kai rolled his eyes on her statement and looking at her neck there was still blood from his previous bite, veins appeared under his eyes as he went for her neck, y/n shut her eyes and braced herself for the bite but it never came, instead he started licking the blood off, which in turn earned him a moan, hearing which he stopped for a second ‘holy shit, that was the sexiest sound ever, does this means she likes me too’ he wondered ‘well only way to find out’ he went her neck again and started kissing and sucking it, y/n closed her eyes in pleasure, moaning a little, no longer being able to hide her attraction to him. His kisses slowly went up towards her mouth, before kissing her, something that he wanted to do the longest time, he looked at her, admiring her features, she opened her eyes which he stared deep into for a second and went for her lips, and they kissed, which such passion and hunger for each other, y/n put her hands in his hair messing it up and he cupped her her face, lips moving in such sync as though they were made for each other only pulling away for some air, kai held her face, stared deep in her eyes, leaned in towards her ears and whispered “I could never kill you even I wanted to because-”he paused for a moment “ I love you” he finally exclaimed  kissed her cheek and disappeared into thin air. she stood up looking for him but saw he was not there,  she held the cheek he kissed, smiled  , looked up and whispered “I love you too”.

ugh I am awake but I feel RATTLED. spoiler alert this story ends up fine and no one is dead. there’s this secluded little alcove / landing type thing near my apartment door and when I took the dogs out this morning I saw there was something there, and also that the dogs were acting REALLY weird about it. usually if they see a person standing up or on the ground they will start barking like crazy because INTERLOPER!!! but instead they both went totally silent and pulled hard towards it and Pip was acting really wary. I thought it was just a heap of clothes someone had thrown out to dry or something bc we just had a big music festival last weekend, but when I got a bit closer I saw it was a person and they did NOT look right to me. they were lying in a really weird position, like on their front but with their neck twisted really oddly and their limbs sort of.. jumbled? like idk sometimes homeless people will sleep under our covered stairs when it rains but this really did not look like a person who was peacefully napping. I called out and they didn’t answer, so I put the dogs away and came back up and called again from about ten feet away but still no response. I could tell it was definitely a person but their face was hidden and they were missing an arm, which freaked me the fuck out (it’s fine to be missing an arm! it’s way creepier to be missing an arm if you might also be a dead body dumped somewhere!!!) so I called 911 to send the EMTs. thankfully the guy was alive and just homeless, but they had to go up to him and call to him multiple times before he responded, and it took a long time to get him up. I feel guilty for calling them now that I know he was just sleeping!! because all the ‘reimagine public safety’ stuff is like Do Not Call The Cops. but everything about it was so Not Right and the way the dogs reacted kind of alarmed me. aghh and if he WAS dead or needed medical help I would’ve felt like a monster for going about my workday!! aghhhhhh why can we not house people in ways that are safe and humane!! I’m extremely glad he is okay but I’m still sooo rattled because holy shit it turns out you get a HUGE adrenaline spike when you think you might be looking at a dead body. that has been my morning 😩🥴
